My sweet senior Baxter is turning 18 yo in September.Although I’ve had a few groomers for him over the years, today Lynda at Healthy Grooming Supplies surpassed all others!!From the moment that Baxter and I walked in this morning at 9am, Lynda’s smile, warmth and professionalism was nothing less than incredible.I was looking “far and near” for a groomer that would allow me to stay for Baxter’s grooming.At this age, Baxter is quite nervous during past grooming visits elsewhere.He remained calmer and more comfortable than he ever has, and the end results were nothing short of perfection!!I would recommend Lynda and her shop to ANYONE who wants to have their dog as well as themselves, have a “5 STAR+” experience!!(and well worth the trip from Plainview to West Islip!)With Sincere Thanks and Gratitude,“Thank you SO MUCH, Lynda-We BOTH love you!!Amy and Baxter💙🩷🐶🐾

I have had my loving fur baby Lexie groomed at Healthy pet in West Islip for six years! Linda the owner, always did a great job and I had a lot of trust in her as I felt she loved my Lexie! I considered her a friend.I even recommended healthy pet GROOMING to my friends but because of her personality, which could be very harsh at times, they did not go back.On March 2, I brought Lexie for her grooming and it was raining. Lexie is always “walked out of the back room”on her leash when finished and I always had her on her leash while I paid, but this day was different and I paid first and Linda “handed” her to me and told me not to put her on the ground as it was raining out, so that is what I did! I put her in my car and I live five blocks away. When I took her out of my car for her to do potty, she could not walk. She could hardly hobble.I was quite upset that I wasn’t told something happened to her while she was there and all I wanted was the Truth, to know what happened to her. At first, you said it was because your groomer cut her nail to the quick and they had to put the stop bleed and that’s why she was having a problem walking. It would pass in a little while.You broke my trust when you could not tell me what actually happened and blamed me and said whatever happened to her must’ve happened in my car.I am so sorry Linda that you had to break my trust in you and I had a hell of a weekend until I could get her to the Vet. I was not looking to sue you, or have you pay my Vet bill as you defensively raved about on the phone when I just asked what happened? That is not who I am! All I asked, was for was your honesty!My vet said it had nothing to do with cutting her nail to the quick, but it was her left side that was affected by something that happened to her neck!All I’m saying to the patrons of her establishment is just make sure your loving fur baby is “walked out”! It’s very sad when someone you’ve had a relationship for six years and you trusted breaks that trust!I felt deceived that no one told me what occurred to cause this and that something was wrong with Lexie who we “Love,”as “she is my heart and my family!”In response to your answer, Linda:“You” told me about the nail being cut to the quick. Why would you say that now that you never said that?I did wait 2 months but the facts kept going on and on in my mind and I thought people should know and be aware so this does not happen to anyone else. I also had surgery on March 6.Shame on you!

Love, Love Love this well qualified and caringestablishment .Over the years, I have followed Lynda and was so happy when she opened her own grooming salon. Having several high maintenance Furbabies over the years, having a knowledgable groomer is essential . I have never taken any advise or suggestions out of context. As a matter of fact, Lyndas suggestions proves to be right and well taken. My furbabies always look Beautiful & Handsome.Well established local business. Lynda knew that our 16 year old girl was getting to end of life She made a special appt so that i could stay with maisy and support her throughout her grooming It was calm and peaceful and maisy was even enjoying Well 2 weeks later our girl passed over the rainbow bridge It is heartbreaking for me and my family A couple days later i received a beautiful, kind card from Lynda telling how much she enjoyed caring for our “sweet girl” since the day Lynda opened Please do your fur baby a great service and have a service here Lynda has one of the biggest, kindest heart 💗 of anyone that i have ever met She is a true real friend of these animals

Love this place! Very clean, nice shop. Smells great inside, and a quick turnaround. Very friendly, accommodating with appointments, and my girl always comes home looking like a million bucks! 🐾

Linda is a pip. Great place for our fur babies to have their mani-pedi. Lol. Nice inviting shop with many toys, chewy things and healthy treats for your furry friend.

I love Healthy Pet! I wouldn’t go anywhere else! My girl is always happy to see all the staff. It makes me comfortable knowing my baby feels comfortable! My baby comes home smelling and looking fabulous! They treat everyone like family! Love Linda!

Im writing this review on behalf of my best friend.Finding a good Dog groomer is like finding a babysitter for your child. We had the luxury of knowing someone with a shop and never had to worry. Our friend recently sold her grooming shop and its been tough.Healthy Pet Grooming was the best decision ever made. My friend Tina still raves and recommends this place. Their pup Timmy looked so cute and came home happy and adorable! The owner Linda has compassion and a real love for animals. If your looking for a groomer that genuinely cares you wont be disappointed.Shes local and her prices are unbeatable!

My daughter brought Ruby our Havanese for a grooming here for the first time. My daughter said from the moment she walked in she felt so comfy. The lady behind the counter was super nice. The grooming only took 1hr. When my daughter picked up Ruby she looked beautiful and happy. The cut was exactly what we wanted. The price was good too. I am so glad I found this place. Ruby will definitely be going back.

I’ve taken my dog to a few grooming places in Long Island and there’s no other place like Healthy Pet Grooming and Supply they are extremely friendly and professional. Stop looking for other options this is the place to go !

We love healthy pet grooming! I have brought my dog Finnegan here 3 times now and Linda never disappoints. She is quick and efficient and he always smells so good after! She always calls to let you know when your doggie will be ready which is great for pick up purposes. Finn loves Linda! He is always a good boy for her.

LINDA did such a wonderful job on my ANGELINA and she was a mess and way over due from the last time I had her there. I was only there twice, nothing but good words for the pet shop and reasonable prices too. I will and am going to continue to get my dog groomed there.

I’m not one to normally write reviews but I just wanted to considering the negatives that have been posted here.. just want to state that this is a Great grooming shop! The owner was great with my pups ( a lab, American Eskimo, and Dachshund). Really knows her stuff! The staff was friendly and willing to answer any questions I had! All three of my fur babies came out smelling amazing and looking great! She helped me pick out a healthier food which has since made their coats beautiful and no more stains under the eyes!Thank you healthy pet! We look forward to seeing you all again soon!

The owner Lynda was amazing! She was great with my cat who has never been groomed before. The store was very clean and smelled wonderful. She also had a great selection of supplies to choose from. She did a great job and was very knowledgeable. I definitely recommend healthy pet grooming and supply!

Owner is weird and rude. There’s so many great shops in the area this is the last place I would choose to take my beloved dog. Please do your research in finding a great shop in your area don’t settle for this place. Owner needs a big wake up call in how to treat people.The only reason I’m leaving a review now is becuse a year later you want to message me AGAIN and be a total jerk for no reason. I didn’t even interview at your store and judging by your attitude and your reviews I’m glad I never did. You need help in professionalism and maybe grow up while you’re at it. Love ya!

First time I had been there. The owner did an awesome job on my little baby girl, she wouldnt even take a tip. I will be going back there, even to cut just her nails about every ( 6-7 ) weeks. Thanks again HEALTHY PET for doing such an amazing job on my ANGELINA. 👍💯👍💯

Previously bought my dog to a different groomer and they irritated her behind. She ended up ripping all the hair out of her tail and butt. I was reluctant to have her groomed again. I asked my vet for a recommendation and they said to bring her here. I explained all that had happened previously. When I picked her up she wasn’t irritated at all. The days coming I was waiting for something to happen and nothing did. She looked great and was comfortable. Very happy with the service here.

Had a great experience with both of my pups here. (18 lb dachshund and 85 lb pit bull)Your appointment is fulfilled on time without the dog having to spend half the day in a kennel. My doggies both looked and smelled great. Reasonable prices. Very happy to have found this location.

This is the ONLY place I take my dog. Linda is so personable and cuts the dog exactly as I ask her each time. She is also very honest even when I asked her to perform a service and she told me that it’s not necessary. Some would still do it just to charge money but she doesn’t. I know when I leave my little Hershey there he is in good hands !!!

They absolutely did not know how to cut my dogs curly hair properly and they shaved all of his hair off right down to his skin. Also in this process they left a large red cut from the razor in a very sensitive spot by his ear. It is very easy to tell the type of hair my dog has and that he is not supposed to be completely shaved. I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone!!

Love, Love, Love how my Cody looks when he is groomed. My appointment is always made to my convenience and taken right on time...He comes out of there looking so handsome and smelling so good...Lynda, aims to please and after using her for many years , for all my pets, I wouldnt use anyone else....! Highly recommend , you will not be disappointed..oh yeah, has a nice inventory of toys, food and assorted pet products....A1 professional .

I had a pleasant experience at Healthy Pet. Friendly and welcoming. Bear, my goldendoodle was groomed by Lynda. He looked very handsome afterwards. Reasonably priced and groomed him right on time. We will surely go again.

The staff and service here are exceptional. Handling my very big dog who is aggressive during grooming is no small feat. Knowledgeable and Caring. My fur babies are definitely in competent hands.

Linda did an amazing job on my Australian Shepherd! He look like a completely different dog when she was through, and acted like a different dog! He was so happy and running around like a puppy LOLThank you Linda, you’re great!

My dog is the most mellow dog you will ever meet and they said it took 3 people to hold my dog down which I highly do not believe, they also shaved his area which I do not appreciate, they must have hurt him, every other groomer says he is so lovely and never is bad, DO NOT TAKE UR PET HERE! They also charge an unreasonable amount of money. I wish my dog never had to get out through this.

I never review any place I visit however this establishment deserves a 5 star review. Perfect service, extremely friendly owner and her staff, and they’re fantastic with my dog. I will be using this place for all my dogs needs. Do not hesitate to give it a shot

I had amazing experience with Linda our peewee and Penelope loved there haircuts and I feel safe with leaving them with her and the staff she is definitely hands on and has knowledge on dogs keep up the great work linda

Linda butcher Maltese (Mylo)NEVER EVER AGAIN. He keeps shaking his head because she took so much hair off his ears. His ears were bruised and had dried blood . DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!

Wow I cannot agree more with Val Nash s review spot on.. exactly what happened when I brought my dog here they acted like the dog was the devil meanwhile I have never had any issues with other groomers VERY rude may be they are just lacking experience .. why is the owner posting peoples names on this site?? wow very professional .. its a review site weather it be negative or positive it is our right as customers to post reviews

Only place that can cut my dogs nails haha. Love them! She comes home looking and smelling great.

My dog came back thirsty. Friendliness within the store could definitely use improvement. Support somebody else who cares more about your dog than the profit!

Linda at Healthy Pet is the only person who can handle my 16 year old Westie who hates to be groomed. I cant praise her enough. She is teriffic!!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Don’t even want to give this woman one star but have to for the sake of the post.DO NOT bring your pet to her she will accuse you of not taking care of them and will not even do a good job of grooming after doing so.Came home with uneven patches and thin patches with skin showing. This woman needs to lose her business

I never asked my dog to stay overnight and this extremely rude lady linda kept telling me that’s not something they offer. I would never let my dog stay in that dirty stoor. When she came home she drank about a gallon of water, very stranger for her. Don’t appreciate you depriving my dog of water
