Mike and Katerina are amazing. Their program has helped me so much. This is my first dog and he is also a rescue and went to them at a year old. He came home and has a perfect boy. No more messes or ripping up stuff. He comes when I call him and I’m so happy I went to them. They also provide you videos and pics while they are training. Aside from the pics they allow for follow ups and are always available whenever you have a question. My doggie has a lot of dietary issues and they were able to keep him healthy and on track

ABC’s of Dog Training has been training my pitbull Bullet since he was a year old. After working with them, his pulling became non-existent, thus making walks much more enjoyable, he also learned to co-exist with other dogs (learning that it was ok that he doesn’t have to greet or love on every dog he meets) and was much calmer in-house. Now going on 13, he boards there from time to time and he always looks like he has the best time. Highly recommend!

Mike and his team have shown the utmost professionalism, kindness, punctuality, consistency of any dog training and dog care services I have ever encountered. His respectful, realistic, non-invasive, comfortable approach while working with my 2 giant breed rescues (Anatolian shepherd and great Pyrenees) has developed them into working therapy dogs in NYC. Michael is the only person we trust with our dog, Charlie. We started using Michael when Charlie was 8 weeks old for training. Charlie is now 8 years old and super well behaved. He remembers all of his commands. This is due to the excellent training of Michael. On this last visit, Charlie stayed with Michael for boarding. Charlie loves Michael so much and vice versa. He always has so much fun while hes there. We love getting pictures and seeing what adventure the day brings. We 100% recommend Michael and ABCs of Dog Training.

Michael and Katerina were a joy to work with our 13 week old Havapoo puppy. Lilly came back well mannered and with training. Michael and his wife are excellent trainers. They made sure Foxy was safe, and well taken care of. Shiba Inus are very stubborn, when she came back home she was not being quite receptive to the commands but once we followed the instructions she started listening more.

ABC training made it possible for us to enjoy your dog more. They are very friendly educated and available to you when you need them. We also use them for boarding as well.

Since a puppy Pamplemousse has had a home away from home w ABC of dog training. While I may not be the best at keeping up w the training cues. Pamplemousse is never out of control, hes well behaved, and travels easily. We have loved working with Mike and Pamplemousse loves to visit from time to time

We board our dog True with Michael when we go away and she is always happy and well taken care of by him. She was originally trained with Michael and she is now 2.5 years old and still retains the training from the time with him.

We have had the pleasure and opportunity of working with Mike twice. From the moment I spoke to him on the phone regarding our inquiry and goals, he was very professional, knowledgeable, informative and flexible. Once our dog turned 6 months old, Mike was willing to take him on and trained him beyond our expectations. Now, our Dash is a service dog for our eldest son who has special needs and medical concerns. Mike has this great passion and ability to work with dogs that is almost magical. His patience to teach our family and our special needs son how to maintain training and explaining how to approach certain behaviors was nothing short of amazing. Mike is also very accommodating. Just recently, while the family went on vacation, we decided to have Dash board and continue training with Mike. In one week time, Dash was safely returned to us with his training polished. Just today (Christmas day), Dash followed simple commands such as leave it and bit not one piece of wrapping paper amongst a sea of gifts, nor did he bite or take not one of our three childrens toys. For a young dog to display such control, means he was trained well. Our family highly recommends Mike at ABCs of dog training for both training and boarding. We look forward to working with Mike again in the future for more advanced training for our Dash.

Im not sure how good their dog training skills are but I do know that their customer service is very poor. My wife contacted them a few days ago inquiring about dog training services and they didnt even have the courtesy to respond back to my text. Not sure how they can be operating a business when they totally ignore potential clients. Needless to say I had to hire another trainer one who actually responded back to my inquiry. Stay away from ABCs of dog training. They need to learn the ABCs of common courtesy first.

I can say ABCs of Dog Training is by far the best dog training business I have been through. Ive tried two different dog trainers within New York City and had very bad experiences with both trainers, After those trainers I felt trainers in New York were all out for the money, but speaking to Michael and allowing him to train my pitbull, i learned so much in his first visit and saw a major result in my dog the first day that i ever did with these other trainers. I would recommend ABCs of Dog training to anybody because working with Michael I felt relax, comfortable didnt feel like this was a business transaction. After those few weeks I was extremely proud of my pitbull and the service Michael provided.

I highly recommend ABCs of Dog Training! We are incredibly grateful for Micheal Mei and Jeanna Munchs guidance and help with our dog, Daffy!! I cant say enough great things about the training we have and continue to receive.We have learned so much with all of their knowledge and experience and Daffy has benefited tremendously. We rescued Daffy in March so we dont know her full history, but was told she was sweet, energetic and in need of obedience training. Mike and Jeanna knew who Daffy was from the very first meeting and have taught us so much in order to help her gain confidence and become a wonderful member of our family. We are so thankful!!

I recently had my Cane Corso, Rocky, trained by Micheal Mei of ABCs of dog training. Before I went to Micheal, my dog was out of control. He didnt to anything I ordered him to do. Rocky also had problems with other dogs on the streets. After the initial training, my dog Rocky gave Micheal some problems. But, Micheal showed his extreme knowledge in dog training and had Rocky under control in no time. And before I knew it, Rocky was socializing with other dogs. It was a little rough in the beginning, but I followed Micheals instructions on what and how to go about getting Rocky to behave and it worked like a charm. After my follow-up visits, all other problems that Rocky had were corrected. The walk, heal, sit, stay and come was taught to Rocky. With daily training, Rocky took to it quickly. Now Rocky is now a jewel. Hes dog that I always dreamed of having. So, If any of you have problems with your dog and you think there is no way to control him/her, think again. Micheal Mei of ABCs of dog training can handle it. Oh, I cant forget to mention Joe, the pit-bull master. If any of you think pit-bulls are uncontrollable take him to the ABCs of dog training. Your dog will turn in a sweetheart upon undergoing train there!Thanks Micheal! Youve made my once destroyed home into a loving home!

I cant say enough about Mike and Joe. When we first got Lily the intention was to put her on as a grief therapy dog at the funeral home I own. This was never done before in New York State so it was new to everyone involved.Mike and Joe met with us and found out exactly what we wanted Lily to do. They suggested extensive obedience training followed by fine tuning Lily to do what we want at the funeral home.Lily responded immediately to the training. We found that Mike and Joes recommendations were right on target. The training required Mike and Joe to come weekly and for us to work with her daily- and when we didnt you could see the difference in her behavior.Lily was recently certified as a therapy dog and we couldnt be prouder of her or happier with the training and care Mike and Joe gave her. I would highly recommend them for any training needs.

I just have to say... I LOVE THEIR GREAT AND AWSOME WORK!!!!. There is just no way to describe such great team work, the knowledge, help and advice i have received from Mike... always there when i have questions, about whats best for my dog Nei.If you ever need someone to help with your lovely pet and his not so lovely behavior ;)... dont think twice, the ABCs of dog training is the number one choice for you and your dog. You wont regret it.

Michael and Katrina were so excellent.They taught her everything she knows and she had so much fun.

My family and I rescued a dog to bring to our home. We have two small children, my daughter who is 6 months old and my son was 3. The way the dog interacted with our kids was of concern as well as the initial training. Before looking for a trainer we thought we could do it ourselves (we already had one dog). The first week was like having a new infant. Constant bathroom accidents, a dog that never listened,frustration, and our newly renovated home being destroyed. We were considering returning the dog cause we did not want our house wrecked, but our son feel in love with the dog. So looked for a trainer. Being in Real Estate in am well adversed in online research. We spoke with and interviewed over 10 different dog trainers cause we were very concerned about leaving are dog with a complete stranger.There was something about Michael from ABC’s of Dog Training that stood out. I felt he was genuine from the start and really took the time to listen to what was important to us as oppose to tell us all the things he could do. We had called multiple time before making the decision and he was always easy to reach. So we decided to work with Michael. He could tell how stressed we were and picked up Minnie (our dog) on a few days notice. We sent the dog away for three weeks in a board and dog training program. When our dog came back we were shocked. There were 10 different commands Minnie learned and almost magically she came back house broken and potty trained. Giving our dog away was very scary but the best investment we decided to make. Mike has been diligent in following up with us to complete our two additional training sessions with Minnie. What I also was very impressed with was that he was available for phone support as well when I had questions, it felt good that this was not someone who took my money and disappeared once the training was over. From start to finish Mike really cared about our needs and that things worked well for us. He become a friend to our family and kids. It feels good knowing my dog went to safe place and we now have a friend to help us with our dog for life.

I see the owners dog everyday they have no control over it. They cross streets to avoid other dogs. Weird no?
