Brought our English bulldog twice so far on last minute appointments that they happily accommodated us for. Great bath/grooming and nail clipping. Very kind and caring people. Fair prices. Will definitely continue.

Best grooming experience we’ve had! Don and his employees are kind and clearly love the dogs. Previous places have had trouble doing his nails, but they did great. My dog came home happy and smelling amazing, and the price was very reasonable!

We love Doggie Dons! A local treasure! This guy loves dogs the way a fat kid loves candy. Pure, genuinely great store- if you have a pooch, stop by and say hello. Grooming was good and reasonably priced. The local kids he hires are friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. A rarity in these times.

Called and asked about bringing my dog in for her nails to be cut/trimmed. Girl on the phone was super nice and then when I brought my dog in later Don and the two girls with him were so nice and sweet and took us right in to the back and we were in and out quick and my dogs nails were perfectly cut! He was great with my dog, he even trimmed the fur on her paw pads and gave us a little treat bag. Will be coming back in the future!

Great local pet shop, with friendly service and solid prices. Also a dog grooming operation, havent made use of that myself but the customers that do seem happy with with it.

My mom recommended I check out this shop. I actually think it’s fabulous and met a new customer who had her new puppy groomed and was very happy. I’m sure the groomers are quality people for this woman to leave so happy however, I had the most horrible experience I think I have had an a while.I’m not even mad about it. I have to laugh because it’s just typical, but it was really out of an SNL comedy sketch chewing them. I asked her if she had a particular product that my dog loves, and she pointed like a traffic cop as opposed to giving the customer serviceWhen I came back to the counter with no additional product to increase the sale, she then walked around the counter after a good deep sigh ripped two waffle hook, and one off another hook through the one on the counter, said we don’t have that one I did choose one of the products Only because my dog really enjoys it for the long ride home, She took my credit card, handed it back to me, said thank you did not look at me once.I was tempted to ask if she was having a bad day, but I really didn’t want to add any more energy to an already uncomfortable experienceGood luck with that one up at the front counterThe new customer who is very very happy with the dog grooming portion of the business said that that is how she is, she She did the same thing to her so.The grooming business will only anchor the hole for so long she’ll bring it down and no timeI’ve been in business long time, so I’m just sending this to your attention to a real issue. If you don’t already know about it and if the one behind the counter is the owner then well I’ll move on from here. Have a great day.

I brought my 7 month old mini golden doodle to Doggie Dons for grooming. When we arrived we were invited into the back while Don finished shaving another dog. My puppy was nervous and shaking at first but calmed down after a few minutes. When it was her turn she was calm and relaxed. They did a great job and when I picked her up a few hours later I was very pleased with her appearance. I will definitely be back in the future.

Wonderful place, very friendly Don loves the animals, lots of different foods, I get Natures preserve for my dog dry and wet food in small cans so I can spread them out, so he takes his medicine. Lots of nice toys, fish reptiles. nice local kids everyone is very helpful.

We have been going here for years always a great experience.Don and his staff are always very professional and courteous.But more important is the fact that they love dogs and it shows and my dog Azura knows it.They also care for other pets and are a complete pet store with great prices.

I have a yorkie terrier my puppy been coming here since she was 6 months. She is now 1 years old. The staff are so nice and make you feel welcome. They do a great job grooming her!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾

Nobody grooms an English springer spaniel like Tracey: shes confident, quick, and always gives my dog the very best cut. Not a whisker or toe nail is overlooked, and the results are always perfect.

Doggie Don’s is always accommodating when I need to board my dog. My dog has allergies and requires daily medication, they are so good about making sure he doesn’t skip a dose. Love picking him up fully groomed. Would highly recommend.

I come here for all of my fish, dog, cat and gecko needs. The staff are very friendly, funny and helpful! This place is way better than the cookie cutter big box stores youll find and they actually care about you here. Also, if you need your dog groomed by an attentive and professional staff this is the place to come! Strongly recommend!

My dog is terrified from getting her nails trimmed because of past traumatic experiences elsewhere. That no longer is the case thanks to Doggie Dons Pet center. He is so professional and caring; you can tell he genuinely loves the dogs. I’ll be referring my friends here and my dog Lola will be back. I’m so grateful 💞

Don himself was there working and the young Lady grooming. They have the basics and I needed some dog food... they are more expensive than a chain but definitely convenient and close to the local neighborhood and pet lovers in town...plus owner knows his stuff and is a kind human. He has been in business for decades and that should say a lot!

Doggie Dons is by far the BEST place to groom and board your dog. The staff really cares and goes above and beyond. They also have a wide variety of dog food to choose from. I brought my dog to stay at Doggie Dons while i was away on vacation costing roughly 400$. when i picked her up after her 11 day stay at the store, i noticed she was biting and licking herself all over her body. within less than 72 hours of being home from Doggie Dons she had full-blown infected hot spots all over her arms and legs. this is associated with being in poorly supervised conditions around dogs with no proper medical history. so i had to spend another 300$ in the vet to have it treated. and when i asked don he became furious and refused to talk to me. I will never bring me animal there again and i highly suggest against it for everyone else. disgusting and pathetic.

They sell Fromms dog food for the lowest price that its allowed to be sold. They have a a huge variety of pet food at better prices than any other store. The staff is knowledgeable and so kind. They also have kitties for adoption there! Plus Im certain its not a chain so youre shopping local by coming here!

Doggie Dons is the greatest groomer. Everyone is super great with all the animals that pass through their doors! All we have to say is Doggie Dons and the dogs and the cat are doing a dance to get out the door!

Great selection of tropical fish and decent prices. The owners son is very friendly and knowledgeable. Get your tropical fish here instead of those pet box stores.

Been shopping there for decades - such a small town feel. Theres always someone to answer a question, ask for advice from and they carry everything from feeder mice to puppy food. Great place - no Brainerd when you need something pet related.

Their pet items are terrible. I bought a collar for my beagle and it broke and he almost ran away and the moist kibble was already spoiled when I got there.

This is a great place with wonderful people who care about animals. Frankly, the negative reviews posted here strain credulity. My best guess is they are either cranks, pranks, or they are purposefully posting negative reviews in a misguided attempt to send business elsewhere. Ive been coming to Doggie Dons for the past 8 years and have never had a complaint. For the past two years Ive brought our new puppy for grooming and shed been treated with TLC.
