My favorite pet store!! Not only the best groomers in the area, but also a huge selection of pet food, supplements, and accessories at great prices. Everyone is super friendly and knowledgeable. Love them!

Amazing place with excellent communication! My top priority is my pet’s comfort and how well the groomer cares for her, and I’m thrilled to say that Alex went above and beyond. My pet was completely at ease and clearly in great hands. The base charge was $175, and with the additional services I added, the total came to around $239. For the level of care and attention they provided, I’d say it’s absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!

I took my cat here for the first time and this place took really good care of my cat! They even posted him on their social media! The staff is very friendly and I left feeling happy that my cat was great taken care of. My cat had a few matting and they took really good care of it. Definitely recommend and will definitely be back!

I was desperate to find a place for my son Norton . I cut not work the app . And is the great place I can bring my service dog a wonderful chihuahua since I can walking him so much. This was a blessing I found in line the hotel I call and they were courteous and helpful not expensive they give a taxi service as a very small fee must tell you the love care was above my expectations . They walk him and play with him is video and constant up date he play with the other dogs is not word to express my gratitude he never would be care by some other place. I’m thanking and praise Andrea and the whole staff.❤️💋 💐

My puppy had his first grooming. The store met all my expectations. Super cute environment. A great staff, the groomer was very careful and patient with my puppy and Alexandra is very kind (my puppy doesnt like other people but this was a rare exception. He loved them), I found good stuff for him and a fair price for the quality of service provided. I highly recommend Le Pitou!

My 4 legged son has anxiety and shakes anytime he sees a bath. But loves going here! They are so sweet to him and it’s truly inviting every time! To be both professional and humane is amazing. The best pet grooming ever! They outdid themselves this time! I had been away and came back to a matted up baby ☹️ I was concerned but they literally gave him a whole makeover, I mean just look at this cutie pie 🥹❤️🥰Not only are they skilled and professional, but they are always so caring and attentive as well. I took my mini golden doodle here and every single time they do an amazing job. My dog gets easily matted and they somehow they manage to save his hair. Shoutout to janet. My dog fell in love with you!

Great cat groomer! My baby always leaves looking wonderful and happy! 10/10 recommend if you are looking for a cat groomer to give them a try. 😺PS: If you know your cat (or dog) is very feisty with strangers or specially feisty with groomings then you should talk to your vet for a way to help with that. You can give them something to help make them more calm during stressful times such as those, and this will help both your pet and the groomer have a better grooming experience overall. 😊

My puppy gets the best haircuts at Le Pitou! Service is excellent and they really pay attention to detail. If you have a poodle or poodle mix, I highly recommend this place!

Gary, paw manager is amazing. Greeted me and showed me where to go to get my dog’s toys. They also sell oils and more for pet allergies which is a huge plus if your dog constantly licks his paws.

Tiki loves Le Pitou. The groomers are great! Tiki is a Bichon poodle mix and they know how to groom him. He smells so good and looks so good after his grooming session.I also buy his coats and treats here. The parking situation is challenging. Wish they had a parking area just for their customers!! It’s Forest Hills, so parking is tough! Try them, they won’t disappoint!!

I took my Pomeranian dog here about 3 years ago because he had a lot of knots in his fur. The owner said she would not try to get the knots out and that the dog would have to be shaved. I agreed to this thinking the fur would grow back. The groomer never told me because she either didn’t know, or she didn’t care. My vet said Pomeranians are never supposed to be clipped, and this caused his post clipping alopecia. I took him to 2 different vets who both told me the same thing. Certain breeds of dogs are never supposed to be shaved and this groomer didn’t know that. The groomer never should have shaved him. I wish I never went there.

Great store with lots of holistic products for my dogs that are always coming down with something. I’ll be trying out their grooming services next month as I went to another local groomer who shaved both my dogs down after I specifically asked them not to go too low.

Gigi LOVES going to Le Pitou. Regardless of the reason, is it getting more wet food, to get a hair cut or to stay there for couple of days in the day care. She is always happy to be with the staff! I dont know how they do it but my dog just loves them! I would recommend their services to everybody! They treat your pets as they are their own! The food selection is really good (all of treats, wet & dry food). A lot of colorful leashes, collars and stylish Jackets and sweaters. If you love your pet you will love it here!

This store has been a neighborhood staple for years. They take care of the pets that come in with a hotel/spa like feeling for dogs. Besides myself, I know many other people who trust Le Pitou for their grooming and pet hotel needs.

I’ve been bringing my fur baby to Le Pitou Boutique and Spa for the past 3yrs. They are so caring and compassionate with my anxious boy. Because he’s a cocker spaniel, he has very sensitive ears and skin conditions. Not only do they do a great job grooming him, Andrea always gives me great advice on natural remedies.

I had such a great experience when I boarded my dog and cat here a few weeks ago. I had never boarded a pet anywhere before but it was absolutely necessary at this time. Everything went GREAT. These folks were so kind and accommodating. I received regular updates and all of my calls were answered. My pets received very individualized care and a great deal of love and attention. I just can’t thesefolks enough. They are responsible, compassionate, animal loving people. I highly recommend them for grooming, daycare, boarding, and their fine food and pet product selections. Spent a long time looking for anywhere willing to groom my cats, in particular a very anxious and somewhat feral Siamese. I’m incredibly grateful to have stumbled upon this business. They look good and I feel very relieved. As with most groomers, make sure to bring cash with you for grooming services. Also, if you call to make an appointment prior to them seeing your pet, the price you’re given is an estimate and can change depending on the condition of your pet. To me, they earned every dollar considering how temperamental my cat is. It’s dangerous and lengthy work. Thank you again!

My friend and I took our fur babies today I always come here but he was a little hesitant since his pup has a bit of anxiety but boy they came out happier than ever looking super cute. They really out do themselves with the cut and care. Definitely a gem of a spot !

Amazing service done here my cat unfortunately was in a very bad condition her fur got really matted and stuck together. The groomers did amazing service they were able to remove all the fur off completely. I would definitely come back here! Recommend her for anyone with cats or dogs! Had an awesome experience bringing my two pups here. The woman at the counter was very patient and answered all of the questions and concerns I had as a first time customer. I let them know how nervous my dog gets and what to look out for but they assured me that my babies would be handled with love and care. I was concerned of being blindsided by the cost at the end of it all but because I brought my dogs in excellent condition, it was a straight forward job. The groomer did a fantastic job, they look cleans and beautiful and I will definitely be returning with them!

Brought my cat in last minute and they took him no problem! They did an amazing job with him. He has longer hair and they got all his undercoat out and also did a sanitary cut on him. He looked and smelled excellent!Place was also very clean and tidy.Staff were also super friendly and patient with my cat. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Needed a new groomer and couldn’t have been more happier with my choice. Potato is my sweet orange sable Pomeranian who has an unruly coat no matter how much I brush it- it grows wild! They did a great job shaping him to perfection!

The staff is beyond friendly. I can tell they loves pets as much as their owners. They know what they are doing and I highly recommend.

2nd time going here amazing customer service. Better than Petco or any other chain stores. The cut was amazing I didn’t even recognize her because of how different and better she looked. They were able to brush out the mats in my dog which is amazing!

This place is an absolute rip off. Avoid at all costs!! I bought a dog carrier here that is specifically meant for small dogs and my little pup tore right through the mesh in the front 2 days after I bought it. I went back to the store to get a refund because they clearly sold me a faulty product and they said no they couldnt. Thats a terrible way to run a business. The manager or owner should definitely do something about this. This is terrible customer service and not a way to build customer trust at all. Ill be telling all of my pet owner friends in the area to avoid this place like the plague.

This has been my baby’s groomer for at least 2 years ! They do such a good job with her. You can tell they really care about the pups and that’s important to me.

I love bringing my dog here. Ive been coming to Le Pitou for over a year now and they always provide exceptional service. The ladies here are so sweet and know how to handle all dogs. My mother in law had a hard time finding a groomer that could handle her anxious malti-poo, and I recommended that she bring her here and she has remained loyal to Le Pitou ever since. No complaints. You really do get what you pay for!

Having just moved from Florida, the staff from Le Pitou has been my lifeline! Adjusting would have been more difficult for my little buddy Charlie but knowing I have a place to safely board him during travel and pamper him with grooming has been a wonderful experience. I’ve visited this place 3x now and each time was a different price. They give you a price of $87 then up to 125 and just today they charged 135. They request only cash. In addition to this inconvenience, they have the audacity to tell me that 135 usually doesn’t include cutting nails and brushing teeth. They act like the dogs condition is outrages and too much work. Where I go every 2-3 months which I feel is normal time. I strongly suggest thinking again from visiting this place. This will be the final time

Unfortunately i have become less and less wanting to get my dog done here. Groomer always does a good job, and they are accommodating with last minute walk-ins , Which is hard to come by, but its more about the feel or vibe of the place. ( not the nicest!) I will take my business somewhere else.

Shocked to read some of these reviews. I’ve been going to le pitou for 6 years and my dog drags me in there every single day. The owner is always so happy to see him and our groomings are always seamless. Perhaps realize that pets are not easy to groom and calm your expectations. I’ve been to many groomers but le pitou is by far my favorite

This was my 3rd time boarding and first time grooming for my 2 cats, Gandalf and Gilly. I appreciate the groomers transparency about her difficulty with Gandalf and asking me to assist. Also, Martha has always been so helpful and kind. This place and its staff are heaven sent! (Sorry I forgot everyones names except Martha!!)

I was able to get an appointment and am so happy I did. Everyone was so sweet and they groomed my dog PERFECTLY! they also have the sweetest kitty and I would visit just to say hi to the cat. Brought in my Maltese that always has a longer coat that we brush daily and very well take care of. Was told that my dog had some knotting where the harness sits and that the cost must be trimmed shorter than my liking. When I came to pick up my Marshall, he was buzzed down so short that I can see his skin. Disgusting job by this groomer. Shaving down sheep would be more of a job they can perform well. I Paid the $87 and left. Never coming back here again.

I would like to tell people about this business that shamelessly deceives its clients. And if you show indignation at these fraudulent schemes, you will receive threats , insults and incredible negativity and spoiled mood in response. The owner of this business never accepts credit card payments and only accepts cash. This is so that customers cannot get their money back in case of unsatisfactory service. Besides this, I suspect that this is related to taxes. Before getting the service, I asked several times how match it would cost and what the price was, she told me $87, but when I came to pick up my animal three hours later, the price magically increased by $50. When I began to be indignant, threats and insults were sent to me. I had to pay all the money they demanded from me. It seems to me that my consumer rights have been violated and the prosecutors office needs to become interested in this business. Find out how they deceive their clients for many years and still exist with impunity.

I have been coming here for a few months now with my Maltese. The owner is friendly and making an appointment is easy. I get the full package and not only is the grooming staff professional, but my pup always comes out looking amazing! They also offer daycare and boarding.

I have no idea how they did it, im amazed how they did a very well job cleaning and shaving my cat, especially when she can be a little misbehaving and aggressive at times, and they did it in such a short time, its been her first groomer experience and finally she can feel fresh for the hot weather summer to come, really well done!!!

This is by far the best pet store in the forest hills area. The owner is so kind and involved with her customers that a lot of us go just to visit her. Her knowledge of animals and products helped my Russian blue cat beat a urinary track infection. She also introduced me to the best dog food and supplies for my beautiful red Fox lab pup. Even with inflation she still has better products and full shelves unlike big box pet stores. Thank you for taking such good care of my pet family. My wife and I appreciate you and will continue to be loyal costumers!

I’ve been taking my yorkie Benji for over 4 years for dog grooming, boarding and day care. My Benji has some health issues including food sensitivity. The owner and her staff truly care about the dogs and provide superior care and services. I’ve gone to Europe on several occasions with peace of mind knowing that they love & care for my fur baby just as much as I do. Prior to Le Pitou my pup was traumatized after a grooming and had stomach issues. My Benji loves the staff and comes out completely relaxed and impeccably groomed. I highly recommend this facility. They are top notch, professional and truly love animals

A vet visit cost me $260, 7 days my dog had to take medication because my dog got an ear infection because they fail to sanitize the tool they used to clean and pluck the fur out of my dogs ear. $97 for grooming. I dont know why these types of businesses are so careless with our beloved animals. Will not go back ever. And further more stop telling people you know how to groom all dogs to a clients liking. YOU HAVE NO CLUE!!

I have been bringing my dog here for a while now. They seem alright. Of course, its a business place, like everything else. I am happy with the job they do thus far. Its all very close to my home.

I stopped bringing my miniature poodle here after I noticed that she would tremble every time out of fear. After her grooming session she would hide if she saw anything that looked like a stick or broom she would tremble and cry even more. she never did any of those things before I took her here! and then it just clicked... these people are disgusting and ABUSIVE. They DO NOT CARE about your pet, they are abusive, and careless. They only care about the MONEY for sure. please dont bring your baby to this place!!!!!!!!! and if you do make sure you pay attention to your pets behavior ! this place should be CLOSED! the staff is horrible.

Fantastic. My long hair Manx cat was treated like the royalty he knows he is. Le Pitou is absolutely spotless, the environment is totally relaxed and mellow, just the kind of place one can entrust their precious dog or kitty. to. Alexandra and her staff obviously truly love animals and everything about the place confirmed my first impression. Today was my first time. Roscoe and myself will be regular customers.

Let me start by saying i love supporting small businesses. But this place needs to be investigated On how they treat animals. I had the worst experience here that i am traumatized taking my baby to any groomer now. The way groomers shake and pulls on the doggys leg to “cut better “ can be done gently not aggressive like these people do it. Please don’t bring your dog here !!!

I had to find a new groomer due to not having a car anymore. The lady who answered the phone was so nice and pleasant and got me an appointment the same day! Also the groomer did an amazing job with my Shihtzu. Would recommend and ill be back!Update: After months of going here, I had a total miserable experience. We had Henri tropical storm and it was pouring rain. I walked 20 mins to get there with a toddler and a dog. When I dropped my dog off, I asked her what time the place closes since I was hoping the rain would ease up and also because my son would need a nap. She goes No, u come when we call you! just like that with a tone. I was stunned but tried not to let it bother me that much. 2 hrs later, I went to pick him up and as usual gave her my card for payment. She said they dont accept cards anymore and it would be cash only from now on. I asked her why and she couldnt give me a reason..She was so rude too in how she said it. At this point I was DONE - soaking wet and she charged me $20 more cause he was matted. umm - no he wasnt because I always check for that so I dont get ripped off. I took the dog and didnt leave a tip and will not be returning because that was the worst customer service - EVER!!

Open for business but seemed to resent that I showed up? I went in for some food that Petco didn’t have and le Poitou has had it in the past. The door was open and I walked in. Was met with a strange look. I said I was looking for some food. They didn’t have it and tried to sell me something else that was not what I needed saying it was discontinued. Obviously they don’t know cat foods. . I thanked them and left and they slammed the big metal gate door with a huge bang as I walked out. Very nasty. I don’t recommend and won’t be back.

Come to this lovely establishment with your furry family member. We dropped off my parents senior shih tzu and the owner and groomer were very loving and hecwas so happy. Extremely knowledgeable and the shop is well organized and welcoming. We will definitely be regulars.

I took my dog to this grooming place and he couldnt walk for a week. The groomer cut his nails extremely short. All his nails were bleeding. I called and she said its okay he will be fine Calls us back if something goes wrong. Extremely upset. The groomers dont have the experience or patience ..

Was just in there today, what can I not say about this place that gets 1 star if I could give no stars I would, for rudeness, hovering over the customer like if u were stealing their over priced dog clothes, the one lady behind the counter came to give me a price on the 2 different size K9 backpacks as there are no prices on anything in the store, making up prices according to the class if ppl that walk in. I was interested in buying both of them. The clerk was so nasty n rude throw her hands in the air n quoted me for Trainer back pack $99 n $160 for the large k9 backpack...PPL LET ME TELL YOU THAT ITS MUCH MUCH MUCH CHEAPER BUYING DIRECTLY FROM K9 SPORTS the Trainer backpack $49.99 no matter what size u need for your dog.I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU LIKE BEING RIPPED OFF WITH AN ATTITUDE!!!!

If you value your time and money do not give it to this business! It took the owner two weeks to refund my money for a service that couldn’t be completed. For two weeks there was no contact or assurance that I would have my money refunded after she explicitly guaranteed I would be refunded for covid related reasons. Then when I finally got within reach of the owner she was very callous and rude without even apologizing for the horrible communication and hung up before I could finish speaking to assure she had my information to process the refund. Extremely unprofessional way to run a business. I don’t generally like to give bad reviews because I give people the benefit of the doubt and I am very understanding about others personal issues but she was extremely rude to me and I don’t appreciate rudeness. I would give 0 stars if I could.

Please do not go here! Extremely unprofessional! Cut my dog and refused to take accountability. Instead proceeded to be rude and blame me. HORRIBLE! Dog food is old and overpriced. The only reason anyone comes here is because they are the only shop around. Again if you care about your pet do not take them here.

She told me is normal,I meet with the owner Days later and told me ,we never put glue to any dog!I cant believe she liar in my face,the groomer put glue silicone for attach bow in the head of my puppy, well ,I nevercomeback . I learned (you tube)groomer i doing my self, i save money and my babies no more trauma .

I absolutely love this place! I always take my frenchie here for grooming & he comes out smelling amazing. Today they noticed my frenchie had a cut in between his little paw & noticed he had a bug inside. They removed it & he was good to go. I would have never noticed this & thanks to them they honestly made me feel as if I walked out of a veterinarian. Then they also noticed my frenchie is a bit over weight & then recommended I use one of their natural made dog food which brings fantastic ingredients. All in all they made me feel my dog was one of theirs & to me it speaks volumes on who they are & how much they care for their clients pets. I’ve never experienced this before in any other dog grooming facility & it just makes them that much special to us. Thank you for caring & for being very professional. I have my dog groomed here and they do a great job. The staff and owner are sweet to people and their pets. Also have a large amount of pet foods, treats, toys, medications, and other supplies.

I cant believe they want to charge $125 for a cats grooming it is ridiculous, it is almost twice the price every other place has. And they even said that the price could increase depending on my cats behavior.

Love love love Lepitou. I take my shi-tzus there for grooming and sometimes for short-term boarding. Lady and Alexandra are very sweet and accommodate us whenever we visit. I just wish they were closer to where we live- but its still worth it! -Chris Maliarakis

I called and tried to reschedule and the owner was extremely rude over the phone. She was not allowing me to speak because she kept on talking over me telling me “what I should and shouldn’t do”. I was even trying to apologize for the inconvenience but she was constantly speaking over me and yelling over I had to hang up on her because she had a disgusting attitude. That is not the way you speak to a customer! I definitely will not be going back!

This place is awful. The gave my dog the worst hair cut and lost her collar. They gave it to another dog. When I called to see if the lady returned it the person who answers the phone kept telling me to call back. It been 4 days

Very rude bunch of ladies that work here. Extremely uppity. They make you feel like a burden when you ask a question. Some great holistic dog food but their prices are outrageous!!

I come here all the time for my dog Penny. Each visit the staff takes the time to ask me how I want her cut & listen to my suggestions if I want her cut lower. They even allowed me to send them pictures so they can see exactly how I want her cut. I will be going back.

Im sooooooo grateful that they took my puppy last minute when I went on vacation and the family member who was supposed to watch him canceled on me. They sent daily pics/videos and reassured me everyday he was fine. They literally saved my day and he was able to be groomed, washed and ready for me when I came back. Thank you !

This place is ridiculous. They charge $20-30 more than any other groomer Ive ever used, change their prices EVERY time I go there, and after receiving my dog back from them, I found that they had cut his hair/shaved him down in multiple places when all I asked for is a bath. WHO THE HELL DOES THAT WITHOUT ASKING!?!?! Not to mention hes a border collie - THEY DONT GET HAIRCUTS. I will literally never set foot in this place again and I would recommend you stay away as well.

Never again!!! They left my cat with scratches and skin shaved off. I don’t understand how can you treat it like that and take money for it. Very disappointed!!!

My dog has been going here for a year now . Hes so scared he pees himself as soon as he sees the door. And a few months ago he had trauma to he eyes . ( bloody eyes ) . Dont recommend they should be put out of buisness

Worst place to take your dog,My dog died right after getting a Grooming. Was miss treated and services are the worst at this place. Theyre not animals lovers and dont care. I know few peoples in my neighborhood having the same problem.If you really love your pet please dont take it there, mine died after a Grooming session.
