Pooch HQ

Pooch HQ is known as “Pooch Palace” in our house. We have boarded and groomed our dog there for 3 years, and we highly recommend them. Athena runs into the shop when we drop her off, and she always comes back looking fresh with new pooch friends and a big smile. The staff is kind, caring, and professional.

Yogi had the best spa treatment with Kera… she is amazing!! I highly recommend Pooch HQ!!

I cannot say enough about the care and professionalism at Pooch HQ! Kera is the only one who my dog allows to trim her nails. Kera’s flexibility to work with us and our schedule goes above and beyond. Our pet is extremely anxious but has become more and more comfortable with the staff because of their kindness and patience. Sometimes her stay is 10 days. We get pics and texts reassuring us that our pup is doing great. We also have spoken to Kera about health issues regarding our pet as I respect anything she has to offer. Pooch HQ is THE place to be for your pup ❤️

We live in Hudson, and we love Pooch HQ! For the past three years, Brittany and Kera are our go tos when out comes to all our dog boarding and grooming needs. Such peace of mind when we travel to leave our pooch in caring & capable hands!

I have been a longtime customer of this business, and have never been disappointed. However, today I was astonished at the skill, care, and handling of my very anxious bulldog. Kera really is a dog whisperer. We have tried everything with our dog to trim her nails, have the vet do it, and she typically becomes defensive and nips or tries to bite. Today Kera was not only able to trim her nails down, but able to polish them as well! I could not recommend this groomer or her business more. As with all great businesses they are busy, but worth the wait!

Been with pooch HQ since opening. I am a 100% Disabled veteran and have a service dog Sgt Mack and sparky. There are rescues and had been abused and They took very close to their groomer. So Sgt Mack got Spayed by a skunk but not a full blast thank goodness. I texted the only groomer I trusted with my dogs. But they were booked.Response from PHQThem:Hey, oh no that sucks! I just checked the schedule and i dont have anything until after Christmas. I can let you know if anything opens up but we are already booked for the holidays coming up.ME:Wow 🤯. This is not something that can wait until after Xmas.Then a tread of personal attacks on me as I kept this business.If this was the text sent then this would have not escalated .If you said , we are way overbooked , I can’t get him in urgently . But he has his regular grooming on the 22nd. Here are a couple of places that might be able to get him in right away. See you the 22nd.I would have booked with petsmart or AmyAnd gone back to them,. My groomer who I used before they went to PHQ I followed they are a good groomer , but a customer service course is needed . And Veteran with service dogs that might need accommodations or urgent help, this place is absolutely not able to accommodate you. They are very busy.MEI’m sorry but Pooch HQ. Has lost my business and you know the people I know. Especially the veterans community. Please this is not on you , I am sure if it was your business understanding the situation I live with.It was also implied that because they knew of my condition and situation that I was trying to guilt them into taking Sgt Mack in.MEI’m not trying to be selfish , rude or entitled. I only need a hand now and then and I help other veterans constantly.If I could bath him myself I would. Have I ever asked for a veterans discount because Mack is a service dog. Have I never tipped you saying I’m a disabled veteran .ThemWe are booked because we are reasonably priced, clients rebook with us regularly, and we continue to be the best in Columbia county. Im not sure what the business has to do with anything. You keep blaming the place I work for but these are my choices and I’m sorry I couldn’t accommodate you this time.MeIf you said , we are way overbooked , I can’t get him in urgently . We are busy, I make my own schedule and I am more than accommodating to all of my clients, especially the ones that have been there since I opened my own business. I closed my shop and started working at HQ for many reasons but that is nobody’s business but mine. I have taken the dogs late and been as accommodating as I can be but it comes to a point where I need to have boundaries. I am more than reasonable with my clients but none of my other clients have talked to me like this and honestly it is not right. Furthermore, it is not a “quick bath.” Macks bath takes anywhere from 25-35 minutes to bathe and completely dry him, and that does not include a haircut or anything else. He is an extremely big dog. At this point, I am not longer willing to work or accommodate with you, I hope you find a groomer than can accommodate what you are looking for. London’s second home. He LOVES everyone there and can’t wait to go in whenever we drop him off. Whether we drop him off for a one night for an extended stay we know he’s in good hands and he’s happy.

Both of our Aussiedoodles got the full treatment and looked adorable with their frest cuts! We will be back!

Very friendly, professional staff. After many let downs, trying to get appointments with other groomers in the area, Pampered Pooch has never let us down. We bring Olive, our 15 yr old labradoodle. She is well cared for and looks great when theyre finished.

They didn’t tell us they had exposure to KENNEL COUGH until we arrived to pick her up after. They should have called us in advance to see if we still wanted the appointment.

Pooch HQ has some of the nicest people i met. Definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Today was my first time bringing my dog to be groomed at Pooch HQ and I was very pleased with the results. The staff were all very polite and professional and his cut was one of the best he’s ever received.
