K9University

We have been sending our dog to K9U since he was a puppy in 2021, and we absolutely love the team! Everyone adores Hank as much as we do and he loves the K9U team (Marlon, Emily, Juan, etc.) so much. We know he is in such good hands every time he is in their care which makes it so we never have to worry. They are attentive, loving, fun and Marlon is an amazing trainer. We always enjoy their instagram updates and the fact that they make a concerted effort when it’s nice out to take the dogs on field trips to the park, beach, on a hike etc. to give them time and space to run around. We live in the city and one of the reasons we choose to send. Hank to K9U is so he can spend time outside, get exercise in and enjoy the benefits of being out of the city. Thank you K9U for all that you do to make Hank feel like he is also on vacation when he is in your care!

Jammy went to two weeks of boarding while I was on vacation and had the time of his life at K9U. I was updated with many pics of Jammy where he looks happier than he was at home! Jammy loves people and dogs, and seeing him make new friends made me the happiest dog parent. I was also interested in signing Jammy up for boarding and training and after how good boarding went, I decided to put him in the 2 week program. K9U was very thorough and made sure Jammy had everything he needed before dropping him off. They focused on many of the issues I brought up and when picking him up, I got a detailed exit lesson on how to maintain his training. Marlon and his team are really passionate for the dogs in their care and I definitely recommend K9U to others. Marlon here at K9U is absolutely amazing - and that is the honest truth. My husband and I were beyond nervous to leave our 2 year old pup for boarding and training for 4 weeks. Definitely one of the hardest things Ive ever had to do was leave him but it was completely needed and so beneficial for him! The staff at K9U knew how my husband and I felt with our emotions rapid, but they kept us updated with videos and pictures. Milly never minded if I asked for more pictures or gave a call for a better talk update. Marlon truly made such a difference in training our Sonnie, he is more confident in his walks, responds so well with commands and is now teaching our second dog (who is older) the new commands that he learned. Monkey see, Monkey do - as Marlon stated! We feel very confident in this business, what they do here is incredible and not easy in the slightest! We are so thankful and doing our absolute best to keep up with commands to further Sonnie as well as we can. We will be boarding when we need to for events we have and definitely taking advantage of some Day Care sessions - for both of our dogs! Incredible business, staff and management. So proud of our boy Sonnies progress and its a huge thank you to Marlon!

Marlon and the team are excellent. I was a first time boarder (ever) and they took such amazing care of my Thor. I reached out to them by referral for both boarding and training, my dog is super anxious and fear aggressive, so I was super nervous to place him anywhere for boarding. They kept updated me when asked, even sent pictures. Marlon is the dog whisperer!! We will be returning for daycare, boarding and training! 10/10 recommend them!

Marlon is honestly amazing. Our dog, Kobe trained with him as a puppy and he saw Kobes real personality. He helped him to come out of his shell and less scared of the outside world. K9 Universitys communication and Marlons connection with Kobe is the reason why we always bring him back, there isnt anyone else I trust. Kobe loves Marlon and always comes back happy and excited. For longer trips or holidays, theyve always been easy to contact to see how Kobe was doing and even sent holiday pictures!

My Dog Echo (Jindo Samoyed mix) did K9 University boarding freshman 2 weeks course. Prior to training he had no foundational training on leash and barely sitting on command. Making it hard bringing him with me in my daily life. He returned changed for the better and I can confidently take him anywhere with me. Thank you so much to Marlon and his team for making Echo’s and I’s life quality better. Can’t wait to advance in our training in the future with this team.

Outstanding!! Our Dog Cedric did Board and train with K9u , The facility . Staff , cleanliness , and training are the best ! Marlon truly is a dog whisperer! Cedric had anxiety and gets very nervous around noises , people and dogs. He helped him so much , after weeks of training he came home a better pup for it ! We also have another dog named Charlotte, she is always super excited to visit and play in their amazing daycare !! They offer swim on some days , fun playtime at the park and their facility is super fun lots of other dogs and they come home super tired after a full day !! Highly recommend !!

We signed up our dog for a three week board and train. During his time at K9 we received frequent updates from the owner/trainer, Marlon, as well as many pictures of our dog through their instagram stories. Always felt our dog was in good hands! After a detailed exit lesson with Marlon we’ve noticed our dog is 100% better on his leash which is HUGE. We will definitely be using K9’s services again.

Whether I am boarding Murphy for the day or for an extended stay at K9 University, I never have any doubts that he is being lovingly cared for by the entire staff. There is no better feeling than knowing that I never have to worry at all about him.Also, Murphy loves participating in the various activities K9 has to offer, such as swim lessons and birthday parties.

Marlon Leon is an amazing trainer and businessman! When we were first introduced to Marlon, it was in the midst of the Covid shutdown. We had just adopted a young, skittish, and very frightened dog from a rescue. Marlon came to our home, gave private lessons to our pup, and eased our worries about dog training. He is the best and I would recommend him to all new pet owners! In fact I do. He is a true professional who loves what he does, and it is very apparent!!

Marlon and team were amazing! Our Berner loves being there with her old friends. After a long 3 week vacation it was great seeing her in such good shape and spirit. Obviously, the daily photos were awesome as well and the drop off service is soooo convenient. Until next time… ❤️

K9 U was amazing! They took care of my dog Bruno for 17 days. They sent pictures and updates on how he was doing daily. He even was able to work on leash training while he boarded and Marlon and his team did a great job! Very attentive and reliable.

Highly recommend K9 University for your boarding needs! I would not trust anyone else to watch my fur baby Winston. Marlon provides a first class experience to my pup every time! The space is spotless, run by an attentive staff of true dog lovers! It is the only place Winston is excited to go and that allows us to enjoy our time away without worrying about him. When you board with k9 you can expect great communication and updates and pictures throughout the stay!! Marlon and crew also provide first rate grooming services as well!! Highly recommend!!!

We have used Marlon and his team for daycare, training and boarding and they have been great. We trust them and they make us feel comfortable leaving our dog with them. Daycare has been a great way for our dog to interact with other dogs and burn off energy throughout the day in a safe and controlled environment. We recently went on vacation and decided while we were boarding our dog it would be a great time to do training as well. We have really seen a difference in our dogs behavior, Marlon did a great job laying the ground work and making a strong foundation for us to work off of. He educated us on what he has been working on and showed us how to reiterate it at home as well. The progress he has made with our dog has been awesome and I would definitely recommend Marlon and his team.

5 stars does not do Marlon and the entire k9University team justice; I truly cannot say enough good things about them.Weve used K9U for both service dog training and overnight boarding. My dog completed the service dog training in 2 week increments for a total of 6 weeks and past her test on the first try. The noticeable difference every time I got my dog back was night and day. Marlon did such amazing work with my dog and tailored her training to what my needs were. When she was training, she spent her days learning and socializing with the other dogs that were there for daycare/boarding. Marlon and the team customize their groups to fit each dog. They take the time to understand the dogs personalities and characters and always make the dog (and the owners) feel comfortable.Every time I bring my dog back, whether its for day care or an overnight, so knows exactly where she is. She runs to the door, sits, and as soon as that door opens, her tail is wagging and she bolts in to say hello to everyone.I have the worst anxiety about leaving my dog, when I have to, but knowing that she is at K9U, where she is loved, taken care of, and happy makes me feel at ease. I recommend Marlon and his team to anyone and everyone looking for a great board and train program, or if youre int he area a day care.I live in New Jersey and the hour and half I drive to drop my dog off is well worth everything that we get out of K9U. We will always be repeat customers.

My Great Dane has been going to K9U since she is a baby. Marlon trained her and it was worth every penny! She is 2.5 years old and we get compliments on how well behaved she is; everybody needs Marlon in their life!!! We also use K9U for daycare and boarding, they treat all dogs like family. My dog is well socialized and happy thanks to K9U, they are the best!! It is a family run business and they treat everyone like a part of their family. I cannot express how amazing Marlon is as a trainer! I have known him for over 7 years and have had the pleasure of learning from him with my two Labs, Charlie and Archie. Marlon is patient and passionate in what he does and truly wants what is best for our pets. He helped us with obedience training to socializing to even getting Archie ready to be a service dog. I recently had my almost two year old German shepherd husky mix trained by Marlon. I mainly needed him to be behaved on walks, no barking at others & jumping. He is now listening toy commands and is all around such a good boy now. Marlon & his team did such a good job of taking care of him for two weeks. He was able to get a lot of play time in but most importantly he learned so much. All of my neighbors see a huge difference in my dogs behavior on walks since coming back. I can’t thank Marlon enough for being so PATIENT with my dog. It’s takes a true natural to be able to connect with any and every dog the way he does. After lockdown and working from home our 6 year old Brittany had severe separation anxiety and would howl if we left him alone. Marlon and his team worked some sort of magic and he returned a new dog. No howling! He still doesnt like being left alone but we can now go to the movies without worrying about the neighbors. He also responds to all commands without hesitation. Thanks K9!

K9 University has been amazing. We sent our puppy to the board and train program and he came back a very well behaved little boy. We sent him to daycare weekly and he always had the best time. He came home exhausted everyday! George even learned how to swim at K9U! He has spent many weekends there overnight as well. He runs inside with his tail wagging each and every time. He ends his day with giving Millie a million kisses!

We have been taking maddison to K9 for daycare for almost two years. Every time we pick her up she is happy and tired from all the playing and exercising. We recently went on vacation and we left her for boarding and training. They took amazing care of her and the job Marlon did its incredible! I would recommend K9 1000%. Just as a side note, on top of doing a great job with daycare and training they do a beautiful job with grooming as well. Carlos is excellent with her. I thank all the staff at K9 for taking the best care of my Maddie.

K9 University was awesome! They were very accommodating, sent pictures throughout the day to keep me updated on my dogs progress and status, and really helped train him! I would always recommend K9. Marlon is an amazing trainer and really helped my dog, Rigatoni, become a well trained dog. K9 is the best!

I have used K9U for training, boarding and daycare. They have always been great! Diesel starts whining with excitement as soon as I pull into the parking lot. Recently, I forgot to send an updated vaccine record and they actually called my vet for me. This was so helpful as I was traveling for business and a friend was dropping the pup off later that day. They truly go the extra mile and I am so appreciative! They also send tons of pictures which makes me so happy.

Marlon and his team at K9 university are simply the best. We have used K9U the past 3 years for services including walks, individual training, daycare, pool/swimming sesssions and each time the K9U team has treated our pup like he was their own family. When our dog was just a 6mo old puppy, the whole K9U team was patient with him and was so transparent about his behavior how he was adjusting to playing with other dogs and other employees. Marlon made us feel so comfortable that our dog will be treated with care and respect in our home and when he is in their care. We’re so thankful for this great business in our hometown.

I have been working with Marlon and his team for years and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my large reactive dog, Kaylee. We’ve used so many of their services over the years - board and train which made a world of a difference in her behavior, bathing, boarding (with pick up/drop off in Queens) over vacations, moves, our honeymoon, and most recently a two week stay after the birth of my first baby. They sent photos and videos periodically while she was away. Marlon even came by and picked up baby blankets to help familiarize our dog with baby’s scent, along with extra food when we last minute extended her stay to have more time getting acclimated to our newborn. When he dropped Kaylee off, he stayed and made sure she was calm and we felt comfortable with both the dog and the baby together. Kaylee always comes home calm and happy - she truly loves her time at K9 University. I cannot express my gratitude to Marlon and his team enough and I would wholeheartedly recommend that if you need anyone to care for your pup, Marlon is the right choice.

My dog came in super reactive, out of control, and couldn’t be around other dogs AT ALL without excessive barking and extreme stress (for him and me) Now he’s calm when walking by other dogs. And we spend time in parks and public spaces with dogs. K9U taught him obedience commands and socialized him with other dogs. I credit this training with all of Nero’s current success. You’re taught how to continue their training and it’s very important you stay on top of it. Highly recommend Uncle Marlon!

Where to start! Our dog Olive (who is 3.5 years old) has been going to K9U since she’s been old enough to be around other pups. She did a two week board & train here (which was life changing) and now she continues to board and go to daycare here. K9U is the only place we trust to take care of her when we go on vacation. It really puts our mind at ease to know she is safe and well taken care of when we can’t take her with us. We get regular updates and pictures about what she’s up to while we’re away. Olive LOVES when she gets to go to daycare. She gets so excited when she realizes where she is going that by the time we get there she pretty much jumps out of the car and sprints into the facility without looking back. After daycare she comes home tired which is so important to us because she is a very high energy dog that gets anxious if she doesn’t get enough exercise. It’s also important to us because we know she’s been playing and not locked up in a crate all day. The staff here is beyond awesome. They’ve gotten to know both our dog and us. They’re very accommodating, friendly, and make things as easy as possible for you. Olive is always excited to see anyone from K9U. We recommend K9U to friends, family, and strangers. We’re constantly telling people to come check this place out if they need anything dog related. We can’t say enough good things about this place and the team here! Our lives and our dogs life would not be the same without K9U. Thanks for everything!!!

K9 University is my dog’s home away from home. Marlon and his team are wonderful and I know my dog is in good hands when he is with them. While my dog is at K9 University Marlon sends us photos and videos of him playing so I know he is having fun and getting exercise. We have been using K-9 University for our doggy day care and boarding needs for over 2 years since our Maple Mae was a puppy. They provide excellent care and much needed play time for her while we are at work or away. The staff adore her and treat her like their own as well as taking her on outdoor excursions to provide another outlet for her to expend her boundless energy. They take the best photos and share them with you also! We highly recommend K-9 University and thank them for taking such good care of our precious pup!

K9 university has been my go to for boarding and training. I always know my doggo is in good hands when he is there. I know he has a blast when he goes there because he is always happy and runs in there when we arrive. Thank you to Marlon and the staff they take the best care of jagger when I need to leave town!

We have been working with Uncle Marlon for a couple years now. He helped us train our pup from the time we first got her. We alternated between home and park training sessions and it was a perfect mix. A few months ago, we reached out to him to do some additional training. Our goal was to prepare our dog to be at our wedding for pictures as well as have her walk down the aisle. We did a few training sessions as well as daycare days to get her ready for the big day. When the day came, Uncle Marlon brought our dog to our wedding venue early for photos, and then walked her down the aisle as our flower girl. I couldn’t believe how well behaved she was, and she absolutely stole the show! In the last 2 months, we have seen such a difference in our dog between all the daycare, training, and boarding we have done with K9U. We cannot thank them, and especially Uncle Marlon, enough for everything! We will definitely continue our training with Uncle Marlon, and be using K9U anytime we need boarding or daycare in the future!

We usually travel with our pet, but in the few occasions over the last few years when we could not travel together we boarded with k9 University, Marlon and the team were very attentive, kept us updated and posted pictures frequently. We had a nice peace of mind knowing our four legged family member was safe and having a great time playing with other dogs, taking outside walks, going to the park and even the beach. His tail is always wagging when we pick him up!

Thanks to Marlon, Duke has calmed down tremendously. First off, Marlon met with Duke one on one for the evaluation. He then allowed us to tour the facility where Duke stayed. The facility was warm and inviting and we were able to meet the staff. Everyone was welcoming and Duke felt at home. I appreciated everything Marlon and his staff did for us. Additionally, along with training Duke, he came all the way out to our home to pick him and at the end of Dukes stay, dropped off. Thanks Marlon, we appreciate all of you.

I cannot say enough good things about Marlon & the entire team at K9U. We sent our dog there for a week of daycare and train, and he learned so much. He spent his days learning and socializing and came home each night a happy and tired dog. We have also used Marlon for one on one training which was wonderful as well. Marlon is an excellent trainer and makes it easy for us to learn how best to work with our dog. Our pup loved going so much that we decided to send him back for daycare - it makes him SO happy. Working with K9U has been the best decision weve made since adopting our rescue dog. When you leave your dog, you know you are leaving them in good hands with people that will love them (almost) as much as you do. The entire team at K9U are amazing. My boy goes to daycare every week. It’s such a good feeling knowing that I don’t have to worry when he is at K9U. I know that they all LOVE my boy and that he is in the best hands with them. He looks forward to seeing them every week. From the moment I call them, to the car ride there and getting out of the car, my boy is super excited and impatiently waiting for me to get him inside the building. He absolutely loves them. I love getting pics/videos of my boy having tons of fun. I even saw a video of one of the girls dancing with Storm - too cute. My boys a jumper and he loves standing, this was special - thank you for sharing this with me. Today, I received a call from Milly letting me know that Storm was on the list today to go to the park. It was the cutest thing ever. I knew my boy was going to love going on his adventure with them. They truly are amazing. They always go out of their way to make sure my boy has tons of fun. Every holiday my boy comes home with special cookies for the holiday. Even if Storms not there that particular day, Milly makes sure Storm doesn’t miss out and she gives me his cookies when he’s there again. Storm also did training with Marlon. I can’t say enough good things about Marlon. He’s great at what he does and the love he has for all pups does not go unnoticed. He will train and love your baby like his own. Whatever it is you are looking for, Marlon will have the answers for you and he will succeed in training your pup to do what you would love them to do. Whats so nice is seeing the relationship that your pup has with him. They know who he is, it’s Uncle Marlon - must be on your best behavior! 🤣. I can’t wait for the warmer weather so Storm can go have some fun in the pool with Marlon. Super excited to see if Storm loves the pool. I can’t thank you all enough. I cannot say enough positives words about this business and its employees! After many hours of researching and calling different places, I found K9 University. Every experience, from the first phone call until the continued support, Ive received has been ABOVE AND BEYOND! I chose Marlon as my trainer for many reasons, from his personal visit to my home to assess my dog and his needs, his amazing reputation in the community and his reputation, even from people out of state that chose him, to train their dogs. Marlon has a natural love for dogs and his talent to communicate with them as well. His staff is also amazing! I sent my dog to his facility for 2 weeks, and I got back a professionally trained dog. After my dogs training, I got my own human training from him and he has checked back with me to make sure everything is still working out. I also use his doggie daycare where my dog gets so much attention, playtime, and love. They make sure to take pictures and videos of my dog and send them to me. I would HIGHLY recommend this school to anyone struggling with a rescue dog, or any dog. Ive found a service that I will use for the lifetime of my young dog.

K9 is such a great place! Marlon trained our dog Otis and we board him all the time at K9. Otis has severe allergies and can be reactive at times. I feel comfortable leaving Otis knowing that Marlon and staff will take great care of Otis.

Marlon and K9U are fantastic! We used them for initial 2 week training for our labrador and now use them for overnight stays any time we go away. Our dog loves going there and it is nice to be able to go away guilt free knowing she is in great hands!

Marlon and his team are the absolute best! My German Shepherd has been training with him since she was a few months old and now goes to visit K9 for boarding anytime we leave town. We began our experience with K9University a few years ago. Marlons training expertise helped our entire family manage our bulldog, Bear. We all learned valuable techniques that we use every day. We also use K9Universitys boarding services. It is so comforting to leave Bear with Marlon and his staff. Their care and communication is outstanding. It really makes leaving Bear a little easier because we know he is in a knowledgeable and loving environment. His smile says it all!

I cannot speak highly enough of Marlon & his team. I sent Moose to them with a very specific behavioral issue I wanted fixed and In slightly over 2 weeks they completely nipped it in the butt, and gave me the tools to maintain their training. I will be constantly sending Moose for touch ups and check ins and I am so grateful for help they provided. They are also the loveliest group of people and its clear that Moose really loved them.

K9University has completely transformed our dog in just two weeks. Our once anxious and disobedient dog is now confident, well-behaved, and so much happier. Marlon and the K9U team was absolutely amazing! Our dog Ravioli was there for two weeks in the freshmen training program and boarding. He learned so much and is doing amazing! While he was boarding we got so many pictures and updates on Ravioli so we knew that he was well taken care of. We will definitely be back to K9U for training and all our boarding needs.

I cannot say enough good things about K9 University! Marlon and Milly are amazing, as is the rest of the staff. My little Shih Tzu has done day care and day care and train, and she has also boarded with them. She got so much out of it and I could see the changes in her behavior right away. Its so nice to know that when I leave Bella at K9U that the staff is treating her like their own. I highly recommend K9U-they are the best!

I have to say I’ve never felt more comfortable with the professionalism and care of Marlon, Millie and the staff at K9 University in Lindenhurst LI and the happiness I see in my dog Kaia just as we pull up to enter. She is always so excited to run in.That’s how you know The place is amazing when your dog is happy. K9 University staff are all very attentive to kaia, she can be very nervous and they handled her with great care. She is always eager to go back! This daycare is what all dogs need. I’m so happy!

I recently had to board my girl for the first time ever, for 8 nights. I was SO worried about leaving her but Marlon and everyone at K9 University made the experience as great as it could be for both of us. I received updates daily via messages and photos of her playing and having a blast. They also took her on multiple walks every day. When I picked her up she was happy to see me and within a few hours seemed bored to be home!! I have been bringing her back for day care ever since and she absolutely loves it there. I would highly recommend K9 U to anyone looking for day care or boarding and will continue to be bringing Callie back!

We initially brought our pup Alta to K9U for a month of training to help with her high drive for prey. After her training we had noticed great improvement on her temperament and listening to commands. As our girl is far from perfect we feel she has improved immensely and will continue to improve as she gets older. Alta has uncontrollable excitement every time she visits K9U and having time to play with all her dog and human friends. Marlon has shown great commitment and passion with training Alta; he even continues to train her when she shows up for day camp every so often. You can’t get that at just any dog training facility.

I can’t speak highly enough about Marlon and the team at K9. My dog was cared for like family. I had daily photos sent. It was like he was away in camp! This is the only home away from home for my dog.

Marlon and his team at K9U are top-notch! My dogs have been boarding there since they were puppies and they love it. The staff is incredible and because it’s a family run business people are very caring go above and beyond to make sure my dogs are well cared for. They do photo sessions and post social media regularly and will give me text updates with adorable photos.

K9 University exceeded all my expectations! From the convenience of the pick-up service to the drop-off, I knew my pup was in good hands. Marlon came highly recommended, but the quality of training exceeded my expectations. The dedication of the entire staff to training and caring for my dog is evident in the results. My pup went from being a rescue, scared of everything, to the most sociable and kind pup I know. She developed training skills, and teaching her new commands is much easier now. Our little chihuahua mix, Rocky, just finished a 5 week stay at K9 University. I received photos and/videos almost every day from Millie and was able to call anytime as needed. Rocky was taken care of wonderfully! We originally thought he might be aggressive with other dogs and K9 University assured us that he was still welcome. And, thankfully, we were so wrong! He made many canine and human friends during his stay. He was very active, was able to play with his friends, including in local parks, and had fun! Special attention was given to making sure he ate since he can be very finicky at times. We had Rocky groomed at K9 University before I picked him up and he looks so handsome! Thanks so much to Millie, Matt and everyone at K9 University for taking such good care of our Rocky! We love you all and will make sure to have Rocky visit and stay with you again!

My 9 month old dog was having issues with separation anxiety, jumping, and leash walking. In the month that he was with the K9U team he learned so much and came back an even better dog. Not only would I recommend for training, but for boarding as well. They were extremely responsive when I asked for updates and they share a ton of pictures on Instagram. I will definitely be using K9U for boarding in the future as he had so much fun and I knew he was completely safe. Could not recommend enough! Thank you K9U team

Truly cannot say enough great things about K9 University. Kept in touch with us with pictures and daily updates. Our sweet boy truly had the best time and came home so happy and well cared for. So happy to know we have found a great loving extended family place to bring our boy when he cannot travel with us. Marlon Leon treats dogs and their owners like friends. My dog always comes back happy and usually more trim than when she left. My only warning is that if you live in NYC, the price of the pick-up is substantial - but worth the caring and reliable service.

We were very happy to find Marlon of K9University. Our 5 year old dog needed to learn a few manners such as Off, and Place, but most importantly how to go up and down stairs by herself. Marlon was brilliant at gaining her trust and building her confidence. He patiently taught her to go step by step. Within an hour she was able and eager to do it. I would highly recommend Marlon. He is kind and courteous with excellent communication skills. He truly cares about dogs and their welfare.

Our dog did the train and board program and she had a lot to work on. Marlon and the K9 University team did a wonderful job with her!! They were attentive, caring, responsive, and made us feel totally at ease. Marlon and his team are the best!! Absolutely recommend! Totally worth the investment. I boarded my 2 dogs for a week while I was away after already having them there for board and train last year. They were smiling in every picture they sent. I got daily updates and pictures from their instagram story. I will never send them anywhere else! I can’t say enough good things about Marlon and the entire staff. Their previous training was reinforced during their stay. It was one less thing I had to worry about while being away. They were in fantastic hands and I couldn’t be more thankful. I know my dogs are really loved when I’m away.

I went to K9- University to see Marlon for my yellow lab Remi and it was the best thing i could have done. His knowledge, expertise and experience is impeccable. I personally signed up for 10 classes total of 5 at the park and 5 at home. I was able to complete sessions on my schedule and Marlon was very flexible which made things a lot easier.I also bring Remi to day camp as well as boarding. I have never been to place where i felt so comfortable leaving my Remi girl! The staff is phenomenal and Remi always get excited when i tell her we’re going there! Also, she sleeps like a baby after being there! That’s a win!

Marlon and his team are the best. It was hard for my family and i to trust a place. We did boarding for a week. And they treaded Benny as one of their own, got updates and picture everyday. Milly and Emily always gave me confidence from the beginning. They are so good and affectionate with him. Benny loves K9U and it is definitely the place to be. If i could give them 10 stars i would. Stella is a 5 month old Shepherd/Pitbull mix who was terrible on a leash. Marlon trained her to be the perfect little pup! After two weeks at K9 University, Stella now listens to all of her commands (heel, sit, stay, place, etc) and is such a good girl! We are even able to let her roam around off leash with full confidence that she will come right back when we call her. Weve been getting compliments on how well trained she is.Marlon sent us daily updates and pictures and was so good about answering all of our questions and making us feel so comfortable. He took such great care of our girl. We would recommend Marlon and K9U to anyone and everyone.

We love K9U! We had gone a few other places in the past before finding K9U. Eventually we found our way and are so glad we did! They are so sweet with our boy Alpine! We know that every time we are away, that Alpine is loved, taken care of and shown kindness. They even take him on excursions sometimes! It’s not just a drop off and stick in a kennel, they take him to the beach and the park to walk him sometimes. We love the videos and pictures they send us while we’re away too. The reassurance that’s he’s happy and in a good place with good people allows us to fully enjoy our trips!They even have pictures with Santa at Christmas time and host Birthday party’s. One other thing I can say is that Alpine smelled horrible after picking him up from every other place we tried in the past. It was a nauseating smell and I could barely drive home without the windows down. When we get him here, he always comes home smelling better than how he went. We will continue to support and be K9U customers!

There are not enough great things we could say about Marlon. We adopted our dog Blue when he was about 2 years old and he was rescued from the Chinese meat trade. Naturally, he came with some trauma that includes equal parts both anxiety and reactivity. Finding a trainer who could help us understand Blue, versus just discipline him was challenging, until we found Marlon. Marlon was the perfect balance of discipline he needed for his reactivity but wasnt strictly business like some of the other trainers we met. He loved Blue and was patient and gentle with him.Before we met, taking Blue for a walk around our neighborhood was incredibly stressful. Even the sight of another dog across the street resulted in Blue lunging, barking, growling and being completely unmanageable. At 110 pounds it became very scary. After only 6 sessions with Marlon, Blue is an entirely different dog. Walks are incredibly enjoyable and we walk past dogs with ease and no reaction.Most of all, Marlon was incredible with us humans and taught us how to handle Blue in a way that would make both us and him feel secure. He was very patient with us and never pushed us to do anything we werent comfortable with and fully respectful that this is our dog and our baby (another thing I did not find with other trainers who simply pushed methods I might be uncomfortable with in a condescending way with little to no explanation). The training methods Marlon uses are SIMPLE and easy for both humans and dogs to follow and understand.Lastly, we referred Marlon to my brother and his puppy and he had just as much success as we did, so we know from experience that Marlons training is not a one size fits all. K9University is like a second home for our shepherd and husky mix. Due to our work schedules, we bring her to K9U at least three times a week. Marlon, Milly, Matt, Javier and the rest of the staff treat Nala like their very own child and they are always extremely flexible and gracious with her. When it’s time to head out, our pup is always so excited for her day ahead.They offer all types of experiences at K9U depending on the time of the year and are always sure to update us on social media with how the day is going through tons of amazing pictures! Marlon and his staff do a great job! We’ve brought our dog Kaylee tothem for years, both for training and for boarding, and our dog is so happy every time she gets to visit.

I was worried about finding a temporary home for my little guy, Chester, while I went away for work for 3 weeks. A friend recommended K9 and boy, am I glad they did. Immediately when arrived at the facility for a meeting ahead of Chesters stay, I was greeted by a group of warm caregivers that kindly explained their services, what they do, and wanted to hear about Chesters personality. They took him in for a few hours to see how he did. I found this a great practice ensuring his safety and the other dogs and the caregivers.Throughout the 3 weeks, I was a bit sad and worried about leaving Chester. Milly from the group and their IG person sent me the cutest photos each day which put my mind at ease. In the photos Chester was with his friends, having fun at the park, and getting dressed up, which shows how much K9 cares and goes above and beyond.I truly appreciate how well they took care of him. He also didnt smell when I picked him up-- he looked clean and happy. Thank you for being amazing humans to the love of my life!

I cant say enough good things about Marlon and his training. He really knows how to tailor the training to the specific dogs personality to get the best results -- its not a one size fits all. He goes above and beyond for his clients and treats them like family. When your dog finishes training the relationship doesnt end there, Marlon is always in touch checking up and available for any questions or advice. Marlon is beyond fantastic! He has an extensive knowledge with all kind of dogs and is able to pin point solutions to behavior problems. I brought my dog home at almost 4 months old and had him come in to train her immediately as her size will require boundaries to be established. Not only did Marlon get my dog to cooperate, he showed me how I need to be in order to get her to do so. It’s not just about the dog, it’s the dog and the owner and Marlon is able to match both personalities perfectly. Post training, I am still able to get my dog to what I need her to do and it’s amazing ! I highly recommend for your next dogs training.

K9 university is the best doggy daycare facility! Everyone there loves each dog as if they were their own. They also offer dog sitting and come to my home on my long work days to take my dogs out. They send photo and video updates so you don’t have to worry how your babies are doing. They have always been kind and accepting of my dogs and all of my foster dogs. I recommend them to everyone!

I have been so happy with all the results I sent him back for an additional week to just reinforce everything he had taught me. Our fur baby truly loves K9 university! Everyone there is a true dog lover- they clearly love the dogs and take such good care of them. Our pup has been going to daycare here for over a year now and we sometimes board him there when we go out of town. They do such a good job making a point of keeping us informed of how our little one is doing throughout the day by sending us great pictures. When our little guy hears he’s going to “play with his friends” he starts wagging his tail and runs towards the door. Truly a great place!

I have known Marlon for about six years, having met after adopting a one year old stray.She was difficult for me to handle, running away, pulling on the leash, jumping, and now comes when called, walks easily on leash and, although a bit high strung, is a happy girl. She still has to give a sharp bark meeting new dogs but then gets along really well. She has boarded with Marlon many times, and although wary of strangers, now loves the staff and comes home happy. Do not hesitate to ask Marlon for help with your dogs issues or boarding concerns.

We used k9 university for training for our new puppy and our older dog. We are very pleased with them .Marlon came to our house for the consult to assess our two dogs needs , made a specific training plan and recommendations for each dog. Both dogs stayed for training at K9 facility and we were getting updates through Instagram notifications regularly as well as text messages with videos, which were very helpful for us to deal with separation . After training was complete Marlon conveniently returned to our house with both dogs and give us the whole training session with demonstration what both dogs learned and how to reinforce learning experience. Many new things and equipment came in to play for us which we are not familiar with and very thorough explanation was done with the demonstration and precautions how to use it. He showed us how to use the equipment properly and not to overdo or over exercise dogs . We received extra long elastic leash which not easy to find in a regular store. It’s been helpful for a dog to have these while playing. We were strongly commended to keep up with certain rules, even though we have secure backyard, but we still continue practicing and reinforcing commands as well as playtime and house breaking rules. We see big difference in behavior of our puppy , she is calmer, still very playful but follows commands and has a routine schedule that appropriate to accommodate our work schedule. Marlon and his team done an excellent job and we will definitely use them again for any services including grooming. Our dog came home with a beautiful haircut. We got plenty of recommendations about food and feeding schedule , and about the dog walkers . We are considering to use their services for daycare on the days when we work late. K9U is the BEST! Ive sent my dogs to board and train with Marlon and his team many times and they always come back with better manners and some new tricks. I know they have the best time at K9U meeting other dogs, exploring new places and learning new things. Ive been especially impressed with their work with my very nervous/reactive aussie, who has gained so much confidence and calm since staying with K9U. Im picky about where I send my pups, but I know with 100% certainty that K9U treats them like their own - could not recommend K9U more!!!!

Reggie loves going to K9U! He typically goes to daycare on the weekend but his behavior has improved tremendously over the past year. All of the staff shows Reggie so much love and have clearly provided him extra close attention and care to improve his behavior over his short time there. He also happens to have a stomach disease and all staff has made sure to follow his strict diet and additional needs. You should feel more than comfortable dropping your dog off here for daycare! Highly recommend.

In April I rescued an 8 month old Shepard mix who was relatively well behaved. After around 2 months Maisy was getting really comfortable and I knew it was the right time to start some training. She didn’t respond to her name and was starting to pull more on walks - so I scheduled 6 training sessions with Marlon (half at a park/ half at home). He has been amazing to work with - easy communication for scheduling/or moving sessions. He’s super knowledgeable, patient and we’ve seen amazing results with the pup! Marlon is a just amazing . Since Knight seen him He is no longer reactive to people, like now he sits and watches me talk to strangers. The dog to dog reactivity was literally 11/10 now he barely even cares about dog on the streets. Please commit to continue practicing what he taught you. Because the difference Is enormous.

Our dog, Katsu, has been going to K9University for training and boarding since she was a little puppy. They trained her into such a well-behaved, calm, and settled part of our family that we have continued to send her there for boarding many times. Katsu always has such a great time there with her doggie friends and the staff all treat her like their own family. They even taught her water safety in a pool during the summer! I especially love the pickup/dropoff service, which makes it super easy for us since we live about an hour away.

K9U is Baileys home away from home! There is no one else we trust to take care of her when we are out of town. She plays with her friends, eats tons of treats, and gets some touch-ups on training. I finally decided to sign up my lab for swimming lessons, why you ask? because she seems to be the only lab thats afraid of water!!. After a long day of play at daycare, my girl was ready for her first swimming lesson. Marlon was very patient with her and eased my fears by sending me pictures and a video of my baby who was NO LONGER AFRAID OF WATER!!!. I was crying tears of joy because before this session, there was no way that we would have been able to get her inside our pool. The second picture shows how tired my baby was after getting home from swimming...Its been at least two hours since her lesson and she is still snoring away . Thank you so much Marlon!!!, we are going to have a great summer since WE ALL can now enjoy our pool TOGETHER as a family. I cant believe that at age three my baby is FINALLY able to swim with us in our pool.

Our 2 year old Australian Shepherd Bleu has been a part of K9U daycare for almost a year now! He cannot wait to see the Staff and his pup friends 3 times a week! I just did a 8 day boarding and training with Marlon and i must say it was the best experience. This was my first time boarding my 9 month old Yorkie so i was very scared. The staff at K9 University made it so easy for me to feel comfortable with my decision. They sent me pictures daily and kept me updated on his progress.The day i went to pick him up i met with the trainer for 30 minutes to go over the stay. I was so please with my puppys results. He was much calmer and i could tell he really enjoyed working with Marlon. They even gave him a bath and he was smelling so good.....I would definitely recommend K9 University for your fur babies. They really care about their Dogs.

Marlon and k9U have been a second home for my dog. He goes for the day for the occasional daycare, or grooming but has also had many one on one training sessions with Marlon. We wanted to start him with training because we were expecting a baby and wanted to make sure he would be well trained when the time came. We did some sessions in our home and some at the local park. Soon after, our dog who ran our home no longer did and respected us as his humans instead. Not only do my husband and i love marlon and K9University, Bruno does too! Although he was showing much progress, he is a stubborn shiba and needed more work, so we recently left him for a week board and train and we noticed the changes in Bruno right away. He is a reactive dog, that barks at every dog he sees. After his one week board and train, we went on a family walk in our neighborhood where there were many dogs barking at Bruno. Bruno continued our walk and ignored all of the dogs that were barking at him. I was so proud of him!! I couldn’t be happier with our decision to trust Marlon and K9University with our boy!! Marlon and K9 U was the best decision we ever made with regards to our beautiful dog! Wrigley (our golden) was a sweet, good natured dog, but she was very independent minded - only came when she wanted - and would pull so hard at times due to her strong prey drive , that at more than one occasion, I had to drop the leash. She was almost 3 years old when we sent her for 4 weeks training with Uncle Marlon. When we got her back (what a happy day!!) it was like a new dog. Wrigley 2.0 now always comes when called )occasionally if she’s distracted or extremely excited , I need to make a correction ) doesn’t pull, and loves practicing her commands! Despite being $$, it was well worth ever penny! Thank you- as we are so grateful!!

We added a puppy to our family during the summer months. After seeing a dog in our neighborhood so well behaved on his walk I asked whats the secret. Without hesitation she recommended me to K-9 University. I went for a consultation and met with a few of the trainers and Marlon. They were very professional and the place was well very nice and clean. We decided on the two week boarding and training service. As much as two weeks was hard to part with our dog, the results were well worth it. His leash walking is night and day from when we first dropped him off. We all now feel confident while walking him around the neighborhood and around other people and dogs. Job well done!

Marlon and everyone at K9 University is amazing ! We sent our almost 9 month Australian Shepherd to K9 for their 2 week boarding program. Before sending him to training, my husband & I couldn’t take our eyes off of our little guy, he would get into everything from cardboard boxes, hoses, wires to toys. Our dog was in guard dog mode 24-7 we couldn’t cook, run the dishwasher, vacuum, shower, go on walks, etc without our little guy barking and going a little nutty (we were trapped).We finally decided to take him to K-9 and we wish we have done it sooner! Unfortunately we wasted money on other trainers (save your money, go right to K9 University) Our little ball of energy is no longer a guard dog but is a loving, sweet pup who everyone loves to be around. He knows when to shut “off” how to listen to commands, and is no longer anxious. It is so much fun spending time with him and working with him. Thanks to Marlon and his team we now are all comfortable and free in our own home. I highly recommend K9 university…you will not be disappointed!

I was very fortunate to have met Marlon 12 years ago when he was introduced to us and subsequently trained my 2 very difficult, out of control 6 month old German Shepherd litter mates. Throughout the years, Marlon has remained a true blessing to us. He’s been a constant presence in our boys lives, if we needed additional lessons, or boarding when we were away on vacation, grooming, or him just stopping by to check on them if he happen to be in the neighborhood. Marlon is and will always be family to us.It was a no brainer when we added an 8 week old Rottweiler, in February, to our family that our Rotti would progress, develop, and thrive under Marlon’s expertise. I whole heartedly have the upmost confidence in Marlon, and the entire K9U family when it comes to my fur babies.My little guy recently returned from a 2 week board and train with Marlon. As expected he is now a well-behaved, obedient, and respectful 4 month old puppy. I’m so pleased with his transformation and progress. There is a saying, that God works in mysterious ways. When you look for hope, and hope finds you, you know it was meant to be. Marlon and Milly have worked tirelessly with my family and I. Marlon has such a rapport with my puppy and so does Milly &Javier. The K-9 University itself is spacious and so well furnished. You can feel the warmth when you walk in. The puppies and doggies must sense they will learn and love there! I am so very excited for my puppy to complete his training and soon return for daycare! My puppy is so happy! So beyond happy with the training we received with Marlon!! After only 3 sessions Marlon was able to take my 75lb lab from pulling me like a rag doll to walking like an absolute gentleman on a leash. It really shows that k9-u truly cares about their clients (2 and 4 legged) and training with them is worth every penny, would definitely recommend to anyone looking!!

Marlon and his team are the absolute best! Zoe loves staying with them and I’m able to enjoy my time away knowing she is boarding somewhere she is happy (they send pics so you can see just how much fun she is having!!). I only wish we lived closer so she could go for daycare as well.

Marlon and K9 University are AMAZING!!!!! I cannot say enough nice things about them. We did the two week training program for our Adult Chocolate Lab. She’s a rescue and had such bad leash aggression. She was so happy and well trained when she got back!!!!! He was so caring and sent detailed updates and pictures the entire time she was with him! My name is Eva and I’ve been bringing my dog, Toby, to K9 University for some time now. My original intention was to have Toby attend doggie daycare a couple of times a week when I had longer days. It turns out he LOVES K9 University so much he goes there 5 days a week most weeks. The entire team is amazing and treat the dogs as if they were their own family. I think Toby would go home with Millie if he to choose whether to go with me or her. The facilities are always well taken care of and each dog attended to. We absolutely love K9 University!

The K9U family is the best, they treat my dog like he is family. He can be very timid and they took their time to ensure he is comfortable. I get updates throughout the day, he is always smiling! I travel a lot for work, they are accommodating even if it’s off hours. Whenever I have to leave him overnight I know that when he is there they are taking exceptional care of him.

My dog spent 2 weeks here and she loved it! The team took great care of her and constantly kept me in the loop. My dog came back both well trained and happy as ever. Would highly recommend Marlon and the team!

My husband and I decided to get a puppy during one of the hardest years ever during a pandemic. But she isnt just any puppy, shes a Weimaraner, a hunting breed with an enormous amount of energy. Before meeting with Marlon, we were constantly screaming at Luna and overall not enjoying having her. Luna would constantly jump on people, furniture, bite things and do all things puppy, except she was already 30 lbs. so it was really difficult to control.We signed Luna up for a 6 session package which combined home and park visits. The sessions were worth every penny. Not only did we learn basic commands but also when to use them and when to praise her. Marlon and his entire staff were helpful in figuring out what we needed within our budget. Marlon is an exceptional trainer who knows his stuff. Hes been doing this for years so it comes natural to him but his patience and amazing ability to teach the average person, is what sets him apart from other dog training places. Im happy to report that Luna now listens to commands, only jumps on furniture when we ask her to and no longer jumps on visitors. The screaming in our house has definitely lessened and we plan on adding more sessions in the near future.If you are having any doubts, just do it. Marlon is amazing!!!

We sent our 7month old Goldendoodle to a week of board and train while we went away. We were sad to leave him for the first time but the minute we dropped him off we knew we made the right choice. The staff was so loving towards him, we got picture and video updates every single day which made us feel so comfortable knowing he was having a great time! When we picked him up he was such a different dog. So well trained, calm, and freshly washed. Our pup wanted to go home with Marlon instead of us! We can’t wait to use them again!

We enrolled our 10 month old Bernedoodle Bash in Marlon’s 2 week board and train program. Before this training Bash had no leash walking etiquette and would continuously pull us and lunge at other dogs to play. He was a great dog but had endless energy and didn’t know how to control it.Since training with Marlon, Bash has learned to control impulses on walks and listen to our direction. He is much more controlled when confronted with other dogs and distractions.Besides an amazing training program, K9 U took excellent care of our Bashy. We got pictures and updates on his progress and and after Marlin said goodbye Bash was crying to see him go.5+ stars!!

If I could give zero stars I would. My dog stayed at K9U for a weekend in fall 2021. My dog is 5 years old and has stayed with plenty of different people in his lifetime. I was told throughout his stay that he was doing fine. When I picked him up I noticed his front paws were raw and he had black spots all over his teeth. When I brought attention to his paws the employees acted surprised as if they did not see it. I was told they just gave him a bath that morning so I do NOT know how they could have not seen his raw red paws. I was told he would not be crated. When I brought my dog to the emergency vet to have him examined after his stay he said the black spots on his teeth looked like residue from a crate or gate. I pressed to speak with the owner and finally when he called me back informed me my dog was nervous the whole time. Why was I not told this while it was going on? I was led to believe he was fine during the stay. K9U did not take any responsibility for the condition he was in upon picking him up. I would never leave my dog with this group ever again and would not recommend anyone trust them with their own dogs.

What a great experience! Our Goldendoodle returned after 2 weeks so much calmer..responsive...she isnt perfect cause she is def stubborn...but clearly a happier dog. Marlon is so professional and knowledgeable...and is always willing to discuss and answer questions. In fact the entire staff is helpful!! We loved the photos and videos we rec d during her stay. Would highly recommend k9U!!!

I am a new client to k9 university and Ive had 2 horrible experiences with OTHER dog facilities. I was so happy to finally give this place a chance although super hesitant. The first day I walked in the staff sat with my dog Snow for 15 to 20 minutes just petting her talking to her enjoying her...before snow was able to meet any other dogs. It made me so happy to see them take their time with snow bc she does tend to be anxious and nervous. But yes the staff was patient and kind and made me feel so comfortable to leave snow for a few hrs. And as I left to go shopping I called a bunch of my friends bc I was nervous but k9 universitys staff was texting me with photo updates of snow having fun with her new friends. I can go on and on about this place but all I can say is I highly recommend it im happy my dog is now going there and the staff and mgmt are great!!!!! Thank u!!!!!

I want to give a big thank you to K9 University & especially Alex . We just completed our six week course. Georgie is like night and day from when we rescued him . Alex taught him so much in such a short time . He heels on walks . We now can leave the house without him going crazy and trying to run out the front door. Let’s also not forget sit, stay, & down .He pretty much mastered that :). Definitely going to do another course to do off leash work . But right not 100% satisfied . Thanks Again Alex

I cant recommend Marlon and K9U enough! I first used K9U several years for a two week board and train for my rescue pitbull mix who was not great with people in the house. He came back a perfect gentleman! And to this day, still has all the skills he learned. I recently adopted a 6 month frenchie pitbull mix and sent him right to Marlon for two week training. He now walks nicely on the leash, is no longer terrified of being in the car, and is a well behaved pup! Sending them both to training was 100% worth itI bring both dogs to daycare once a week and they have the best time! The staff sends and post pictures, and they are friendly and helpful! They genuinely care about the dogs there and it shows! The pups get home and immediately pass out!K9U is just overall a great place with great staff! 10/10

I sent my 3 month old puppy to Marlon for housebreaking, leash training and behavior training. In 4 weeks he turned my wild baby into a little lady! She was fully housebroken, walked perfectly on a leash and knew important commands. SInce then, she has stayed with Marlon dozens of times while we have been on vacation and loves it at K9! Shes well cared for and happy. They send me pictures and updates regularly so I can see all the fun shes having with the other dogs. I recommend K9 to everyone I know who has a puppy or needs great care for their furry family member!

She was the sweetest dog 1 on 1 but had her special way of going complete berserko any time someone else entered the room. A few weeks ago a photo like this wasn’t even worth trying for. She always moved out of frame and could never stay still for more than a few seconds.Marlon of @k9u_ny trained her to become not just more obedient, but a focused presence that is always looking for ways to ensure I’m loved. My brother and I have been requesting training from Marlon for our dog Mira ever since she was about 6 months old (currently 1 year old). He is extremely knowledgable, so responsive and helpful, and helped me build confidence with handling my dog. His facility is beautiful, I wish I was a dog just so I could stay there! I also brought her for boarding and she had an awesome time. I only trust Marlon for anything regarding my dog and you should, too.

K9U is great! We live in Manhattan and when we leave town for extended periods of time , we love sending our pup Millie to K9U! They pick her up, keep us updated on her activities, take care of her and drop her off. They’re great and super easy to work with. We feel our girl is in good hands if we have to leave her.

I can not say enough good things about K9U. Sending my Ella girl away for so long was one of the hardest decisions I ever had to make, but I would do it again in a heartbeat after the experience we had. The staff at K9U is beyond caring and so so sweet. Alyssa and Marlon were our saving grace when we were missing Ella. From the numerous updates and videos a day, to answering any questions we had, they really helped us through this time. We also sent Ellas younger sister Zoey, and seeing them get to work with each other was amazing. Now that Ella is home, she is such a happier dog and we are able to communicate with her so much better. I would never send my dogs anywhere else besides K9U!! We LOVE them!

I tried 4 different places for my puppies day care and boarding needs and was by far most impressed with K9U. The people develop real connections with the dogs and owners, unlike other places my dog is always returned to me clean and not smelling like a kennel and dogs are not kept locked up during the day
