Brusarah Pet Grooming Salon

I have an adult Great Pyr for 2 years now. She is a rescue from a bad abuse and neglect situation. Really fears people. The groomer that I use regularly had to cancel this morning but I had already given her the adrenaline blocker 2 hours prior to appt. I read a lot of reviews bright and early. Decided to give this business a shot. Marlon could not have been more accommodating to fit her in last minute and understanding of all my concerns. He could tell I was also anxious and reassured me, even called me to let me know she was doing fine. She came out looking beautiful, we will be seeing you again. Thank you again, Marlon!

Marlon from Brusarah is the best! I drove half an hour from Stormville, just to see Marlon. My schnoodle is extremely difficult when it comes to haircuts, baths, and vet appointments. It had gotten so bad in the past year, he would bite anyone who came near him with a trimmer or hair cutting shears. We have tried Elizabethan collars and heavy duty muzzles but he shakes himself so fiercely they come off within a minute. As a result, he had grown fur longer than a sheepdogs, and looked ridiculous. He wouldnt let me, or anyone else, come near him to shorten his fur. That is when we found Brusarah pet grooming, in Mahopac. Marlon, the owner of Brusarah, was amazing! First he spent time getting to know my dog, and gain his trust. Then Marlon worked his magic and actually got my dog shaved short, just as I had asked. My dog received a relaxing bath and came out smelling clean and fresh. When I came to pick him up, he looked happy and so much cooler. I was thrilled to see all that messy fur finally gone. Marlon really knows dogs, and is reasonably priced. I highly recommend Marlon, and the wonderful Brusarah staff.

Marlon did a fantastic job! I have an 85 pound yellow lab, and he did a wonderful job. I am very happy with my experience. He deshedded my dog, and she feels so soft. He also did a great job cutting her nails. I highly recommend using Brusarah for your next grooming!

Do not go here. I called this place making an appointment at 1. When I dropped him off they said they would call when he is done. It is now 3 o clock no phone call and it says they close at 4. So I went and the girl in there said why are they here with a nasty attitude. We even called three times before this nobody answered so at that point I was just a nervous dog owner wanting my dog because it should not be taking this long. We didnt get him until 4:10 and when I got there I asked them what took so long he said it is first come first serve. I said then why did i make an apt at 1 and he said I told you on the phone that it was like this, he also told me that he told me that they dont take card on the phone. He never told me any of this and was being completely disrespectful to me. I will never go here again, so unorganized and rude. Keep in mind they had my dog locked in a crate for 2 hours before he even got touched

The absolute best in Mahopac! I have a 9 year old yorkie-poo who gets very anxious and nervous when going to the groomers. My dog has absolutely no problem going to see Marlon! He’s very gentle but fast with his work. Ever since my dog was only a couple years old we have been coming here and absolutely love it!

Marlon is knowledgeable, compassionate and fairly priced. We love the results and his commitment to treating our fury son well. He takes the time necessary to make the grooming experience as stress free as possible for the animals in his care. He does not rush his work.

Marlon has taken excellent care of all my long-furred pups (keeshonden) for well over 10 years now, and its always been a wonderful experience for them and for us.

I took my moms 11 year old Maltese here after our other groomer gave up. He has high anxiety and along with bad legs and hip problems so hes become a lot to handle as he has grown older. On the recommendation of a friend I brought him here and it was magic from the moment I walked through the doors. It was an absolute pleasure meeting Marlon and to the person who groomed Snow Jamie you were incredible and hes never looked better!. I myself will be getting a dog of my own in the near future and even if I have to travel hours to do so Ill bring them here. its simple you need a groomer? Bring them here!!!

Our aussie mini has many allergies and skin issues. I saw she was again breaking out, in desperation after watching youtube videos of dogs with similar conditions I finally realized maybe a good groomer was the answer. Magic! A quick phone call they agreed to see her the same day! They fit her in yet still took the time to bond with her, insure her security and comfort, explained to me in detail how they handle skin conditions and why dogs have them. Sharing information I never knew and yet I have had many dogs. I am so very pleased, they did an amazing job! Used medicated shampoo, cut and blow dry, she looks the best she has since puppyhood and we can tell she is so much happier! Great job! I highly recommend!

Simply the best grooming experience. They are very friendly and they treat your dog like their own. Highly recommended

My and my fiancée called to find a new groomer for my two golden retrievers that we feel comfortable with. One is 12 and has been groomed 1-2 times a year the other is 2 and this is his first time. We were told how much of a nightmare my dogs were and how tough this was going to be before he even saw my dogs. I ended up going with a groomer that doesn’t look at nice golden retrievers as a nightmare and talks to customers with respect.

I took my 10 year old Mia here , who is a long hair Chihuahua and wont let me cut her nails . Tomorrow we have another appointment for her since her hair and nails grow so fast. They did a wonderful job and I know her nails are bothering her they were so caring that she didnt even try to bite them so then I took my little short hair apple head after Mia being groomed and I was so happy with how professional they were.

They did a good job with my Shih Tzu.I used them because our normal groomer was on vacation.Just hate the location; the front parking spot is right next to a telephone pole and right off route 6 so you have to back out into traffic. The steps to the rear parking lot have tall and uneven steps. My little dog cant use them so I have to carry him.

First time here. Our dog can be difficult getting groomed, but they had no issues with him. They did a great job! We will be regulars.

He worked a miracle on my 20 year old chow chow mix, clipped his nails shorter than theyve been in years and cleaned up his paws so no more slipping on the wood floors. Very fair pricing and honest. Genuinely cares about dogs.

Marlon clips my dogs nails and cleans his ears every few weeks...He does such a great job and always makes time to fit you in..My lab could be a bit of a scaredy cat but is at ease once in Marlons hands..thank you thank you!!

Marlon is wonderful, always accommodating and our shih tzu, Handsome, ALWAYS looks fantastic!!!! More importantly, he really likes going to see Marlon, he struts around after looking and feeling like a king.

We rescued a 4 month labradoodle and she was a mess. Brusarah worked on her for 4 hours and now she is beautiful! Price was really fair and they squeezed Maiden in the same day.

Brought my dog in and tried explaining something to Marlon and he proceeded to tell me to stop talking. If you like working with a prima donna, proceed with going there. I, for one, will not be spoken to that way.He also cut very close and skinned my dog.

I love this place and so does my Dobbie. He pays special attention to each detail and the cologne smells heavenly. Very affordable.
