Considering this was an emergency last second visit for someone who’s never been to this clinic, everyone was so incredibly nice, they saw us very quickly, and I didnt feel pressured to pay for the most expensive treatments, just what my baby, Bean, needed. I’ve dealt with vets in the past that can make it feel like your fur baby is an object that doesn’t deserve an emotional response, but that was absolutely not the case here. So very pleased with the experience, and I definitely will be bringing all three of my kitties there as soon as we can (and hopefully just for a normal checkup!!)
My dog was not a patient and needed immediate attention. The office took Tessa as a new patient and gave her a same day appointment. The staff was absolutely amazing with the care and attention they gave to Tessa. How compassionate the entire staff was. From all the receptionist, to the technicians, to the doctor,. They are a very special group of people and we are lucky to have them in our community.
Care and compassion as we were worried about our pup. Diagnosed through physical exam and didnt push xrays. We are so happy to have answers to help our girl.Maisie is a little bummed about no running for a few weeks.
Was able to get an appt same day!! Amazing and so much appreciated!!! Ability to get in quickly. Did not have to wait in the hospital, price was reasonable for services. Kept my cat to get sample of urine without extra fee. Felt like you value customers and pets and not just try to extract as much money as possible
Called in the morning about my pup with a possible skin irritation. They got me in by the end of the same day. Super busy but very efficient and helpful.I would recommend them. Thank you very much everyone I met there and especially DVM Miss Katie Schnier. Super awesome and professional
Dr. Samuel couldn’t have been better. I’ve never had a veterinarian preference when bringing my dog in, all being the same if not pushy, withdrawn, or “matter of fact”. Dr Samuel was the first vet that made our situation feel like we had someone there for us. She was completely transparent on our situation, did not push expensive unnecessary tests at us, and gave us realistic options based on our goals. Not only that, we received frequent phone calls over the course of 2 weeks checking in on his condition. The compassion we received during the stressful and heartbreaking time was unparalleled to other places we have been. Could not recommend them more
The front desk staff was very welcoming and helpful to get my pets checked in. The doctor was very patient and answered all my questions in a way for me to understand. She was very kind and calm as well.< br /> How helpful and welcoming all the staff was for us as new clients
Please do not take your pet here for anything complex or related to testing/export requirements. They will take your money and run, without checking whether they are qualified or accredited to do the tests you need. They wont ask questions on booking or even when you tell them you need to export to Australia - they have no idea and dont care. They will then proceed to be absolute aholes when you complain that theyve charged you $1100 USD for absolutely NOTHING and delayed your export to your home by 2 months. I recommend never dealing with these awful people with no empathy or acknowledgement of their own failures to understand their clients needs - take the money and run is what theyre about.
Wheatfield Animal Hospitals doctors, receptionists and vet techs were all so kind and very helpful. My pet and I were checked in and seen quickly, she was given the best and most thorough care, with meds and clear instructions as how to administer them!Their dedication to giving animals(and their humans) incredible care is astounding.
Wheatfield Animal hospital is by far the best! Top notch! From the moment you walk in the atmosphere is so welcoming! The doctors are amazing and so caring! I would recommend them to anyone looking to bring your fur babies!
Depending on the doctor you get will impact the quality of service. The front desk staff is decent but I think this clinic is overpriced if you’ve got an animal with a chronic illness and the vet techs are incredibly rude and lack empathy. We’ve brought a few of our animals here and they’ve never reached out afterwards to see how they’re doing. When my cat passed there was no condolences card or call. My dog came in for a seizure that wouldn’t stop and they again failed to see how she was doing the following day. I just don’t think this is a very professional office and they put money over patients.
I recently took in a cat from a hoarding situation and was concerned about this cats health. Wheatfield Animal Hospital was able to accommodate a timely appointment with no difficulty, as I had never used this clinic before. Once there, they took care of the cats needs and my anxiety. The staff there is knowledgeable and friendly. Procedures and pricing were explained before performed, so no costly surprises!. I highly recommend this clinic and will be taking my other cat there for her routine visits.
Very disappointed in the pricing of this animal hospital. Obviously, collecting money for rather simple office procedures is more important than the welfare of animals.Being retired and on limited income the procedure of drawing blood and getting the results for our cat was $500... CRAZY!We mentioned to the vet and office worker that the cost was 1/3 our social security check but they showed no sympathy to our financial situation.Unfortunately, we cannot afford to have high pressure sales in any environment... They certainly are more worried about their pocketbook not yours! We called the local SPCA who guided us to very reasonable option of vets who are very consumer friendly!
Thanks to your vet Katie, I was able to get a rabies shot for my 15 month old, 9 pound cat Sparky. She quickly noticed how he had been scratching away fur on his back - and advised me to get a new and more potent flea collar. I then told her about my severe dander allergy - so to improve on this situation, Katie suggested a fish oil extract, which will hydrate him!
Dr. Samuel and team are always welcoming, friendly and great with my pup who always gets very excited at the vet. The care and thought that goes into treatment and prompt follow ups are always appreciated.
They take care of all my critters with alot of care! Very good exotic doctor. They have helped me with my lizards snakes ferrets cat! Will continue to go:) staff is wonderful.
Wheatfield animal hospital staff has gone downhill since I started taking my pets here. Their prices are outrageous, and the front desk staff are cold and inconsiderate. When I was there checking on my pet, I heard Craig tell the other receptionist that was on the phone to not send the dr. a message and to not give the person false hope. The receptionist then placed the person on hold and acted like she was going and spoke with the dr when she just sat there for a couple mins and then told them the dr told her to bring them in. Of course, all they want is money. Craig was not friendly at all and he had an attitude. When I called in to get an appt for my cat that I had to put down, he told me I was going to have to pay extra because he wasnt a pet I had taken there, even though I have 5 other animals there. I would not recommend taking any animals here when all they care about is money & not how your pet is doing. I will be looking for a new vet that cares more about the animals than they do money.
The staff is so patient and caring. I feel good knowing my animals are being taken care of by this facility. I also appreciate that when my pets have testing done I will be called w the result.
I have two male pups one is just over a year and the other is about 4months old I know they are truly in the best of care when I take them to wheatfield for annual appointments and small emergencies
Had a little scare my dog Fergie s hind legs were stiff she couldnt walk took her in to the pet hospital I thought maybe she hurt her back they checked her out said nothing was wrong did a blood test found out she has limes dease gave me medicine for her she was up and moving around the next day, staff was very nice and I could tell sincerely concerned about my dog, also forgot to say that I called at 7 at night without a appointment and had never been there before was told to bring her right in,thank you,she will be going there from now on.
I have had three dogs in your care most recently my newest rescue Lobo. I feel very appreciated that you allowed me to use the 10 day certification for his free visit even though it was a few days longer as I fell ill. It shows how much you truly care. True Friendliness.
Terrible front end service, would only help us of we were willing to pay a very large amount for meds b3cause they have their own on-site pharmacy. They dont really care about your pets, they care about your money.
This place is a joke and I should have listened to the people that told me not to go there because they don’t care about the animals they only care about the money! My first 2 visits weren’t bad but expected a couple hundred for my bill and when I get the bills with a comma in it and was told the full amount has to be paid or my dog gets nothing I should have walked out then but I gave them a chance but it’s just gotten worse on every visit..last visit was another $1,000 and all I got was blood work and flea and tick medicine..what???? Take your animal somewhere else
Everyone was nice and answered all my questions and concerns . Ive been here a few times with family bringing in pets that were sick and Everyone was very emptetic and caring even in the tougher moments . They are the best and care about your pets needs Very caring and empathetic staff
My pup was seen there a few years ago, after being attacked by another dog. They took amazing care of her then of course. But over the past few years I have struggled with Zena having anxiety from what happened. Everyone there is so kind and patient with her. Yesterday she was brought in for her yearly, the vet took her time with her to make sure she was comfortable, its been a long process. I will always highly recommend this office. I am so grateful they have helped take such good care of my girl! Their patience
Great customer service and I love the way everyone treats me and my animals! I love the warm welcome when we come in the door and the thorough explanations of whatever is going on.
They are all very friendly and they treat my first baby just like one of their family there are wonderful Hospital
Everyone I have dealt with at Wheatfield Animal Hospital has been very knowledgeable and compassionate. I truly felt that they cared for my cat and me.
Dr. Mott listened and showed that she understands all of my concerns. She said she will email me the summaries of all of our visits, which I truly appreciate.Dr. Mott saying she will send me the notes from each visit will make it much easier for me to keep proper records for my dog.And Lilac seemed to like her..
They were able to get us in right away. And were very caring while giving us bad news. Thank you for your kindness.
Heartless people.. overpriced .. zero care if your pet dies they want to secure payment before any treatment.. 11,000 or nothing .. can’t emphasize enough heartless people no payment options even got my credit limit up to 8000 they wouldn’t take that or anything.. my dog died because they are not compassionate people. After my dog was put down the doctor said they could’ve started the surgery and just charged us for what they did if she died on the table like thanks for telling us after .. still just wanted to secure a payment before providing any help the lady there was overweight and just heartless
First time at wheatfield veterinarian hospital and our experience was absolutely incredibly positive and nice. The staff were amazing and were so very attentive to my pets. I would definitely recommend them.
I do not recommend this vet at all. I had to change vets just to get rid of a uti. They care more about getting your money than helping your pet.
The Veterinarian and Techs are very friendly and helpful. They we available when my vet could not see my cat because of my cats abscess. Since then I have switched all 3 of my cats to Wheatfield TY.
I am very pleased with the care my 16 yo elderly dog Princess received today on an emergency basis. Everyone was so helpful, and compassionate. Dr Samuel and her team were wonderful. After some testing, a treatment plan was put in place to help Princess get well and back to living her best life. I look forward to seeing everyone again at Princesses check up. Thank you to the receptionists for their kindness, and patience, and to Tom, ( I hope I remembered your name correctly), for your help. You all were great!
Amazing staff who really truly cares about every ones fur-babies! I would definitely recommend going here they took my sisters husky in to get her checked for stomach issues within an hour of calling them on a Saturday when our regular vet couldnt squeeze us in (my sister n her husband were both working and asked me to take their dog in) they were so nice and amazing with the dog. They thoroughly checked her out did xrays & blood work, gave her a nausea med and recommended certain food to get her stomach feeling better. Just a great friendly place who will treat our fur babies as they were their own
What a wonderful place to bring an animal. I brought my dog Bailey there for over the past year for various needs.....staff and Dr. Mott were always so extremely caring, as well as informative. Yes going to the vet is expensive, but that is the price we pay for our pets, to keep them alive, and well, and happy. We had to put Bailey down recently and they could not have handled it better. Exemplary beyond words. They showed the utmost compassion, kindness, and love, not just to our dog, but to us as well, exceeded our expectations. So caring and so loving at her last moments, truly surpassed anything Ive ever experienced before. I cannot say enough kind words to describe how much I love this place, and Dr. Mott!! Thank you.
Great job in helping us understand what to do to help our cat and dog! Very thorough with explanations and patient to answer all my questions. Friendly, kind staff!
The staff was friendly and helpful. My Dog is always well cared for here!
My first time here was yesterday and I must say .. I think I have found the best place to bring my fur babies. Such a wonderful experience receptionists/staff/nurse and doctor were wonderful.. finally my search for a good vet office is over 🙌
This office has an amazing staff. They are so helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. We have never had a bad experience here and know that our dogs are receiving exceptional care when we bring them in!
Patience were shown for my pet as he was anxious and nervous. Staff is caring and we never felt rushed.
We love Dr Schneir. I can always trust that if she tells me she is going to do something, like send an estimate, or review something, it gets done timely. Feeling like staff cares about my dog
Very friendly staff. Great with pets and kids! You could tell with their great overall attitudes that all of those ladies love their jobs! They were very accommodating and willing to answer any questions we had since this was our very first kitty. They also offered an affordable option that was competitive to other vets. Id definitely recommend Wheatfield Animal Hospital to anyone. Thank you ladies. Smokey thanks you too!
Seen in a few days for my schedule. Taken into exam room pretty quick and saw vet quickly as well.
We take our dog there for veterinary services and grooming. Everyone there is so helpful and pleasant. We saw Dr Samuel today. She is very professional, helpful and kind. Melissa is a great groomer. The girls at the front desk are very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this facility
This was my first real visit. (I was in for a quick nail trim that Mo needed prior to a camping trip last year). The staff was friendly and welcoming. The vet tech listened to what I had to say and was accurate. The doctor seemed genuinely concerned about Mo Mos situation and offered more than one coarse of action option. She was very pleasant. I thought the cost of this first visit was very reasonable. Home run! Demeaner of doctor, friendly and caring staff, and timely visit.
Staff were welcoming and patient. Service and treatment explanation was great. They took time to listen to my concerns for my dog. Thanks to them my dog is back to her happy energetic self and well on her way to a full recovery. Well be back.
Ive never had a more caring, loving team for my babies. The whole team is always amazing and awesome. Knowing that the care and needs are always top notch is very comforting. My questions and concerns are always answered and addressed.
Took such good care of my elderly dog in his last days and my sweet puppy in his first year thus far
Love this place, very courteous staff. Clean and well run.
Great! My two boys visit at least twice a year. They love all the kind and professional employees! I trust the Doctors here. I highly recommend Wheatfield Animal Hospital
Entire staff from receptionist to the doctor were all very courteous and took measures to make myself, my husband and Sabu feel welcomed and comfortable. Very enjoyable experience. Doctor and her assistant were both knowledgeable and explained everything they were doing in detail. Especially very patient with my wonderful pet. What stood out the most was the genuine concern and care shown to and for Sabu. These Texans loved the NY hospitality extended by all.
Staff is very friendly and helpful when I first arrived and needed to return to my car for paperwork. The doctor was friendly and helpful and treated my Ollie with kindness. How kind and patient everyone was.
Worst vet Ive ever been to. Extremely difficult and rude staff. The doctors are even worse. They refuse to help my cat without seeing him for a second time, when they already saw him before. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. These folks are pretty horrible. To add: Kayla is an absolute awful person to talk to. She dismissed my concerns to defend the doctor, even though the doctor is in the wrong. Again, dont go here. Spend your money elsewhere.
This is my first review ever , Not happy with this place at all . Been going here 5+ yrs, Every visit have different tec have to explain history every time. Want to give my dog treats . She allergic to beef, they diagnosed it but want to give her beef treats.( throws up violently ) No biggy I keep an eye on her. Then they put her on apoquel $3 a pill day 2 a day. Then we have a knee problem .needs surgery . Quoted $7000 to $9000 .I go for second opinion and vet check. Get rabies shot and distemper. office visit under $100. On wrong dosage for apoquel .From $1800 a year to $300 a year one pill a day .New quote on surgery $3500 . Rio had her surgery is doing fine . Bill was $3544 with all her meds (bunch of them), I will gladly make the trip to Randloph Vet. any day they truly care about PET and OWNER knowing we are not made of money because we have a pet !!
Very informative with procedures and next steps for a rescue kitten. Very friendly staff. Information shared with me.
Very resourceful, and friendly staff. I love how they greet my fur babies by name when we come. Won’t go anywhere else. I love the female vet and Heather the receptionist always helps schedule something if I need to get in fast and is flexible with my work schedule.
Kept my dog on a medication I later found out he did not belong on. It caused his hair to fall out and they told me it was because of an unrelated fungal infection so they prescribed meds for the fungal infection as well, even though they ran tests and didn’t find any evidence of a fungal infection. After being on the fungal meds for two weeks they called us back in for a follow up and tried to convince me to buy more fungal meds. I told them we already had a large supply left from when I was in before. And the vet didn’t even see me, so I have no idea why she could even insist on switching meds, especially when we already had enough left. It was then when I realized I should find another vet. My new vet tested his thyroid and concluded that he did not belong on the thyroid meds they had been prescribing him for a year. Once they took him off the meds his fur started growing back. Thr whole reason they put him on thyroid meds is because I noticed my dog had been drinking more water than usual. This was a year ago. So they tested for diabetes etc and thyroid and even though the thyroid came back normal at first they called me back saying that there was one panel in the test that was slightly off, so that’s why they put him on these meds. My new vet said his thirst problem was lomikely due to his excessive panting common in his breed when they get older. No real treatment for it except for trying to manage his stress levels. Glad I found a new vet
This office is so helpful, all the staff are very informed on our pets appointment, and are willing to go the extra step to find an answer for you if asked.
Be very cautious taking your fur babies here! Back in 2020 my yorkie was losing front leg feeling and falling. The dr there suggested I put him down and fast forward to today, he’s alive and turning 16 soon. Feeling better then ever. Now my other fur baby story. In the last month I had to get my dog vaccinated. That evening my dog started coughing and turned lethargic. After 3 appointments, roughly $4,000 later, she was misdiagnosed. The entire time her diagnosis was GI upset. We had meds and new food to help her from this clinic. She was just declining. We did everything we were told to from the drs here. We did X-rays, blood work, fluids, made further appointments. The appointment for her to then have cardio work up was cancelled upon bringing her only due to the fact, we had more questions because we were concerned. We were told - “if we just do blood work that will give us better answers”.Then that was thrown in my face that the appointment was cancelled by their dr! Just before the weekend, she continued to decline even worse. This is when we rushed her to orchard park medical hospital. After running tests there, her diagnosis has heart failure with other heart issues. She could have died at home. How do you confused GI symptoms for heart failure? One dr specifically should not be practicing. The other staff has been great to us, but be very cautious who you see here. She does not care if your animal lives or dies.I tried to call and resolve this matter, what a joke that was. All I wanted was my money back for the GI meds and useless food that was $120 a bag! So for now, I will be moving forward spreading awareness about this clinic and how awful their dr is. I will make this story viral. I don’t want anyone else to have to go through what we did.
Really nice staff and understanding. Made us and our dog comfortable at a hard time. The doctors and staff made our boy comfortable and gave us time to say goodbye to him.We feel that we have a place to bring our other fur babies.
Great vet clinic. Always friendly, answer your questions and concerns about your fur baby. Pretty efficient with appointment times. Recommend
The vets were great with my dog Winnie who can be very anxious- they made her feel comfortable, took care of her thoroughly & quickly and sent us on our way. I have 4 dogs that are patients here & every visit has been a great experience!
We recently relocated to this area and part our anxiety was finding a new veterinarian for our two cats, both adoptions. We could not be happier with Wheatfield Animal Hospital. The staff is welcoming and caring and the vet gentle and professional. It feels great knowing we have a place for general care of our beautiful cats, and a place to call in case of a problem with either of them. The environment was very clean, with NO ODOR, unlike at some veterinary offices.
Brought our dog here after he ate a squeaker from a toy. We sat there for several hours, they did an x ray and finally said there was no cause for concern and sent us home after billing us about $1,200. Less than two days later, our dog was vomiting and not eating so I brought him back. He required an emergency life saving surgery immediately. They quoted us with a bill for anywhere between $7,000 to $11,000 which we agreed to but were frustrated since we were recently dismissed and as such, we lost the chance for any other intervention. Luckily the surgery went well and we were able to pick him up. The bill from surgery was about $8,000 which we paid up front. They did not send us the photos of what was in his stomach as we requested (Another emergency clinic quoted $3,000-$6,000 but we wanted to stay with “our vet” even though we had lost some trust with them). About a month later he was acting funny and I was worried so I brought him back having had such a dire situation last time. They quoted just under $500 for X-rays in which I agreed to. They found nothing and said we were okay to leave. I went to check out and was presented with a $900 bill. I asked to speak with someone to see why it was almost double. The receptionist came back and said “don’t worry about the bill, we’re going to handle it.” In which I apologized, and said it’s all just a lot within a short time. The receptionist said very sweetly that they understood and that’s what their program was for and kept the bill. Several months later I called to make a new appt for my dog to be seen and received a call back from the office manager sarah who said in order to see my dog the previous bill would need to be paid in full and refused service otherwise. I asked where the disconnect happened as I was told not to worry about it. She then accused me of “giving her staff the run around and refusing to pay” when all I actually wanted was to discuss why it increased so much from what I was told.
I came here for a second opinion because I wasnt convinced my usual vet (who is new to the practice and has never treated my pet) was doing everything that could be done, or even giving me all the information I needed. I made the best decision! From being able to actually speak to the doctor on the phone and have my questions and concerns answered directly, her completely undivided attention to my pet in person, to the amazing staff and the care my girl is given, I am beyond happy. Getting my girl in right away when I made that initial phone call meant everything to me and weve been treated exceptionally since day 1.
I really liked this place at first, but after my experience today on the phone with Robin I’m disappointed. Called to get an understanding of the estimate they sent me for an X-RAY and ask questions about how things worked and she was very condescending and rude. I understand things need to be done a certain way, which was why I was asking questions to understand the process and unfortunately it was done in a way that felt very condescending. She snapped at me and made me feel stupid every time I asked a question. Sarah was super kind though.
< br />Very empathetic and efficient Team of caregivers!< br /> The urgency to get my dog seen and treated in an emergency situation
We brought our Yorkee Poo into this Veterinarian Hospital due to emergency in midst of Winter Storm when we couldn’t find anyone else with a Veterinarian in.They were incredibly good to us. We were seen right away. They were able to diagnose her and give treatment there and then antibiotics etc. to take home.Dr Samuel and staff were so gentle with her and kind to us.Our wee one is doing so well and I couldn’t recommend them enough. Let’s do 10 stars. We are so grateful to them. Top Shelf 💗💗💗
I appreciated the welcoming & kind staff. I also liked how comfortable you made me feel about my dog. The last vet we went to was very uptight around my Rottweiler, stereotyping him because of his breed. I loved how nice you were to Titan
Wow!! This place is absolutely amazing! It started when my cat got sick and needed to see someone ASAP. I called and they were able to fit her in same day. Super sweet staff, and great doctor! So amazing and can’t rave enough about them!
Great place! They can always get you you in for a pet emergency. The place is clean & modern with all services available right there. X-rays & bloodwork all done in house as well as prescribed meds. Super friendly staff! I had to put down my cat & they were so compassionate & accommodating. I not only got Maxs ashes back but also a book with his paw prints & the story of the Rainbow Bridge. I have & will continue to recommend them to friends & family
While the staff was very pleasant and helpful, the prices are outrageous. I had a rundown of prices, and they are quite high.Upon bringing my cat home, I found that she had brought home fleas! She is an indoor cat and never been anywhere and was in a carrier and has never had fleas and within two hours of her being home, I noticed one, combed through her hair thoroughly and found 2. While its not a lot, thats how it starts.I called the office and explained, was calm about it, and the immediate response was that there definitely no fleas in the office. She then talked to the doctor and she said the vet had told her she did a full exam and there was no flea dirt, or fleas. (She was examined in a half hour so I doubt she did a thorough comb through.) I was also told that I may have brought one in with my shoe, and if any animals had fleas, they would be treated immediately. How do you know unless youre looking or its become a problem? Especially when it may be a new infestation. And then they tried to sell me flea medication. The least they could have done is offered a starting dose instead of completely dismissing that I may be correct.I gave two stars simply because the staff was very friendly and they got me in right away, but in comparison these prices were very high. And you know, now I have to get rid of fleas. Gross.
Staff is wonderful and I never feel like Im being sold unnecessary services or products, which Ive felt at other offices. Prices seem really fair, also. Knowledgeable doctors/staff, no unnecessary upselling.
My Dottie recieved 3 year checkup , shots due , hip checked. quick, painless, she was very happy as I am able to accept Dottie and get her in within 24 hours
Would not assist with end-of-life services for my rat because we dont TREAT rats. I didnt want stabilization or treatment. His cancer went to far and he had no equalibrium. Thanks to the best, again, Greenacres. They always treat me right, even in my worst days.
If I could give them a 100 star I would I went here for the first time for my dog Henry that I rescued from the SPCA and they were so nice and patient I was only in there for like 40 mins just for a checkup and two shots and they were wonderful and I will be definitely coming back to this vet again with my dogs u guys r really great vet clinic
I was extremely happy that as a new patient needing an emergency visit, your staff came right through for me and within an hour, I had an appointment. All the staff that greeted me was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. I cant say enough good things about Wheatfield animal hospital and their staff.
They have no problems taking your money, however in my case I paid for services never received and they acknowledged my entitlement for at least $200.00 to be refunded to me,as was over paid..Ive called and called and get the brush off with a story! This was 7 weeks ago, sec deposit and 200$..they run/own the mini storage on the vet clinic property* THEY ARE THIEVES AND I WILL ONLY REDACT THIS POST IF THEY PAY ME WHAT IS OWED AND CONSIDER PENALTY COSTS AS THEY UNDERSTAND I LIVE ON FIXED INCOME.
Love the staff and cleanliness of the building Beanie was stressed out and the staff were so good with him
3 years ago I rated this place 5 stars. Now, I have to give it 1 though Id like to give it 0. Ive been taking my animals here for almost 10 years and over that time I have watched this place turn into a money hungry place that attempts to force pricey treatments for no reason. It makes me sick to my stomach. Sara has been the only kind and consistent person Ive dealt with there. Kayla is hit or miss as far as nice or not. This place has gone down the tubes. I will be switching vets asap.
When I called to make an appointment for urgent care, they were great with getting me in for a next day visit. Everyone I spoke with was friendly and informative. I did not receive food news about my dogs condition, but the Vet was great at explaining everything so I could understand and was so caring when I had a hard time processing the bad news. I did not have a bad experience with anyone and they really took care of my baby.
Sara S, Kayla, Shanelly, and Dr Churchill were all so wonderful, kind, and helpful during this visit! Everyone provided prompt and proper care of the kittens I brought in!
We love it here! The staff is always so helpful. We love the personalized care our pets receive. They are always quick to get us in for an appointment when one of the pets is sick
Weve been a few times now and each time they were excellent, friendly to people and animals both. The cherry on top was our pup needing a shot to get into a dog park and they were willing to schedule it the same day so she wouldnt miss out on her play time. I cant recommend them enough.
Ive been bringing my fur family to Wheatfield Animal Hospital since 1993. Theyve always given the very best care and, quite frankly, solved some serious health problems that other vets couldnt. Its great that they are also a high caliber surgical hospital, so theres almost never a need for referrals to anyone else. They have only the finest and most knowledgeable veterinarians and I always feel that my fur kids are in the best hands possible. They are also incredibly kind and compassionate for end of life care. The northtowns are so fortunate to have this place! Solid in diagnoses and treatment.
Front desk staff is very knowledgeable and helpful when discussing cost and plan for visit. Doc was very patient, sweet, and kind with my rambunctious 7 year old puppy and took the time to explain things and be sure I didnt have any unanswered questions. Very efficient and very little wait time while there.
Our dog had developed bone cancer and they were very understanding and helpful. It came time where we needed to lay him down and they made that process as easy and compassionate as possible. Im very thankful for everyone there .
Personable staff quick thorough service. They really care about you and your pets! They can usually get you in the same day for emergencies and pricing is fair. I highly recommend giving them a chance to care for your pets as I have mine. You will not regret it.
Everyone that I talked to was very friendly and understanding. My fur baby was very well taken care of. Im extremely happy that I brought her to them. I appreciated the way that everything was thoroughly explained to me over the phone and they took the time to answer my questions without me feeling rushed.
Updated. One of our Pups had to have surgery and the team was great with him and the instructions they provided to us. They never got impatient with us calling in if we were worried about something. The care they provide both our dogs and cats is was is most important to us. We were very disappointed when we boarded our dogs and then sought a second opinion on an ongoing issue with one of our dogs. We have since moved to another practice.
They are great to my fur babies. They tell you what you’re pet needs. They explained everything very well and they also explain different costs for the procedures or test they may need to take, for your pets situation. That is great it leaves room to decide on what you could afford at the time and they’ll help you pick out what is the most important procedures that your animal may need as a priority and then you can wait on the other procedures such as x-rays or bloodwork. Of course every situation is different. I love these guys. They literally explain everything and go through every part of every test with you. You can definitely tell they really enjoy their job and taking care of animals. I won’t take my pets anywhere else, they have us for life as their customers.
First visit here. My dog received acupuncture treatment for the first time. I had found out only a couple of hours before my appointment that my little dog had an untreatable brain tumor. The staff was wonderfully compassionate. The Vets kindness was so appreciated.
I adore this place and everyone who works here. I have been bringing my cat emmit and my dog Romeo to you guys for 3 years. You guys truly care about what you do and your clients. I wouldnt take my fur babies anywhere else! The first time i came I was in tears about my kitten Emmit he has fleas and was very ill. I had him in a cardboard box and one of the receptionists was so kind and reassuring me he was going to be okay. Before I left someone in the office gave me a cat carrier for free because i did not have one for my baby. Me and my babies have always been shown so much love anytime Ive walked into your facility and i can not thank you enough for that and the peace of mind.
Very friendly and welcoming. They take the time to go over treatment plans and I never feel pressured into doing anything.
Love them! They are All Very Kind, they Really Care about the Animals and Very Affordable! They took Really Good Care of our Cats. One of the Cats we took in was Cheeto (below). Honestly, I have Nothing bad to say about them. What I can say is, I Trust Them With My Animals!!!Nicole :)
I LOVE THIS PLACE..... very professional and experienced staff.... my dog gets SUPER EXCITED every time we pull into the parking lot!!!!!
Customer care, efficient and overall experience! We have been coming there for years and everyones been so wonderful we love how caring everyone is!
Very nice ladies that work there... Doctor explains everything about my baby boy. Hoping he gets better.
I am very pleased with everyone I have come in contact with throughout the company. Every appointment I have come to I have been greeted by nothing but smiles and worm welcomes. I also appreciate the prompt service. I have never had to wait long for my appointments. Questions have been encouraged and answered in a way that makes me comfortable and satisfied. Being on time, and friendly!!!
Wonderful friendly place, they were able to get my lab in when our normal vet couldnt for a week even though his face was swollen ,and now we have a new vet! He isnt a fan of the vets but they were kind to him anyway and I will gladly drive the 25 minutes to see them
They are amazing. My regular vet had no appointments and my dog was sick thru the entire holiday weekend.I called and they saw my dog as an emergency visit. Did bloodwork, gave fluids and sent us home with meds.Everyone was so nice and the vet we saw, Dr. Mott was beyond wonderful. I am so grateful and thankful they saw my dog.She now has a diagnosis, meds and will feel better in no time.
Wonderful friendly and knowledgeable staff, we adopted our dog through awesome paws animal rescue who works in conjunction with wheatfield hospital provide neutering to the rescue puppy we brought into our home, the process was quick it was easy we dropped our pet off they got them taken care of within a few hours and had them back to us the procedure was amazing it didnt even look like it affected the dog in one bit he was happy as could be!! I would recommend
Very positive experience.... very professional and very nice people!!!
Very responsive to our ask for help in understanding what was up with our pup. At the same time you did not rush to diagnosis or hurry us along. Appreciate the professional approach and care. Thank you.
Called at 415 after the vet Id been seeing for 20 years said sorry no time today go to emergency clinic my sweet girl was having seizure, stroke not sure what they didnt know us or our dog but they said bring her in rushed her in they took her right back. Unfortunately they could not save her her heart had stopped they gave her oxygen and cpr we pretty much knew it was her time she was pretty much gone when we got there but to take us in like that and the staff was wonderful and compassionate I will be leaving our vet and taking my other 2 fur babies to wheatfield animal hospital.
STAY AWAY!! NOT ONLY DO THEY CHARGE 3X THE RATE FOR MEDS.. they want bloodwork for any other prescriptions..then wont even give a 2 day script until online scripts come in! They are a disaster run! They let my 11 year old lab suffer for their own stupidity!
Very impressed from the moment we walked in the door. The staff at the front desk were super friendly. The vet tech and the vet both took their time with my cat. The charges were also reasonable.I would definitely recommend Wheatfield Animal Hospital.
My baby had to have 2-in-1 surgery recently, and testing for some pretty scary things, and i was naturally terrified because hes on the older side, has never had surgery before, and is very rarely separated from me for longer than a few hours. i must have called more than a dozen times to check on him and ask questions, and the staff was really sweet and helpful every time.kayla in particular was super reassuring and made sure i knew they were there to answer my questions and alleviate my fears. i also spoke with sarah, who explained some aspects of the procedure/medications, which really helped me feel more comfortable with everything. when dr. ashley called after his surgery she was very thorough when talking with me about his health and any minor concern i had, and made sure to tell me everything as soon as they knew anything - what things i could stop worrying about, and what things we should keep an eye on in the future. they also called the next day to check in on him and set his follow up appointment.the cost seemed average or a bit above average, but they did try to help me stay on the lower end of the original estimate, and they take carecredit. the care was absolutely worth it - a prior visit to a cheaper clinic was traumatic for both me and bubba. bubbas very intuitive about people and is an excitable puppy when he likes people, and is shy and nervous when he doesnt like them. its clear to me that he likes the staff here and did not like them at the cheaper clinic, so well be staying here.it also wasnt on the bill, but they cut his nails while he was under anesthesia, which i thought was incredibly thoughtful!bubbas at home resting and is doing well, and im sure hes happy not to have to visit the vet for the 4th time in 4 days :)
This hospital/vet is great. I needed a place to board my two elderly cats while work being done on my apt. My long time vet hasnt boarded in yrs so I tried Wheatfield Animal hospital and was very pleased. It was sort of short notice but they accommodated me just fine. My babies needed updated on everything and along with the boarding they gave the necessary attention/medical updates to my furkids. They have been there 2 times to board in a month and the cost for that is very acceptable. The team of techs Ive had communication with have been very pleasant and explained In detail what the terms are/were and that my thoughts on boarding were same as a hotel/motel day/nite rental. Not so, so I finally got that straightened out and were all good. So if you ever need a furkid boarded, I say check them out. When were allowed once again to be normal....LOL....I will treat them in some way with treats from a bakery or candies from Platters or sooner if they deliver. I dont believe thats allowed just now from me directly. Happy trails everyone. God bless and stay safe Wheatfield Animal hospital and all who patronize the establishment. 😇🙏🥰
Great Service ! Completed all necessary services and shots. Took time to get to know our dog.
Wheatfield Anima Hospital showed compassion to our cat. They spoke very factual and without trying to sell other services. We enjoyed our experience. Honesty
The staff is very caring and knowledgeable. The prices were fair compared to other vets in the area. They made my pup feel comfortable being there which was a step above what they needed to do.
They treat you and your pet like family. They are skilled, compassionate and rarely keep you waiting. When my fur-baby left this world, they sent a beautiful sympathy card that had a note from and was signed by every single staff member.
We had to bring our 17 year old dog, Rockwell, in due to increasing, failing health. We had never been here before, I found them on an emergency basis. From the moment we walked in the staff was friendly and caring. Robin, is the first person youll see and she is wonderful! Dr. Harper was thorough and caring while checking our old guy out. With tears in HIS eyes he gave us several options. I had to make the tough call that it was time. They gave us as much time as we needed to say goodbye. A week later I went in to pick my boys cremains up and found a wonderful plaque with Rockwells pawprint along with it. I cannot give a high enough recommendation. These are good people who know our pets transcend business.
Dr.Mott and her staff has been a saving grace to my poochie, after a few months of treatment at my prior Veterinarian. I moved back to the north towns area and my first thought was to give here a try again. SO GLAD I DID!It has been not as fun for my pooch to have weekly visits(x7) but Dr.Mott has finally gotten his chronic ear infection under control. The female staff up front (sara, kayla, robin, alexa) have been nothing short of kind to me even when displaying frustration with waiting long times in my car with a anxious dog etc. Dr.Mott took her time with me to talk about my dogs symptoms and his treatment in lay terms that id understand. I appreciate that immensely, coming from working in the medical field it takes a lot to learn and hold a good manner with patients.Theyve handled the Covid-19 pandemic times with grace, and make it easy on their patrons. It will be nice to put faces to these names once Covid-19 restrictions are lifted.UPDATE----> Im revisiting this review and taking 4 stars down to 3- after I had consecutive visit 9 yesterday with this practice. Ive never been more disgusted with customer/patient service from a specific employee named Kyle. To be straight forward he has yet to be kind since first speaking to him, but luckily for him- his employee counterparts out shine his horrible manner. Personally working in a management position in the medical field I was actually almost at a loss for words. BUT this built up over weekly visits dealing with Kyle calling with the vets recommendations prior to them returning my dog to me. Yesterday was the third time Kyle has told me that he mentioned something regarding my dogs care at the previous visit, that was never said. A absolute lie from him, and when approached that it was never mentioned he does not back down and accept fault- but he just talks over me, insists he has told me, and all with a distasteful passive aggressive rude tone. Talking down to the paying owner/customer is unacceptable and absolutely uncalled for. I sadly now will be going elsewhere after all this time and so much money spent during a time when work and income is highly affecting my life in a negative way. Im so discouraged with the practice, with a big thanks to you Kyle.:::UPDATE:::The practice manager Sarah contacted me immediately regarding this situation and how it was handled by one of her employees. The practice owner should be aware of the great management they have on their staff. She was more than professional, highly courteous and helped to rectify the situation moving forward. That being said, I have since returned to the Vet with my animal making that a total of 12 visits in 16 weeks. AND i have had 0 interaction with the negative employee listed above. It has been pure bliss. Speaking with the Vet herself or the alternate Tech has changed the entire appointment in regards to ease and communication of orders following my pups visit. I cant say enough about the efforts made by this practice/practice manager for my comfort, as well as my dogs. Thank you to Sarah for your help in keeps us as patients moving forward, I appreciate you more than you know. My dog now has a clean bill of health regarding a nasty ear infection, and I cant be happier with the outcome of the entire course of treatment. Regardless of the aforementioned hiccup
I take both my Dogs here. They are a knowledgeable staff. What I like most about this office is that they take care of you on time. You dont have to sit and wait. Being punctual goes along way. The receptionists are always friendly and accommodating.
My two puppies love going to Wheatfield Animal Hospital! They get excited when we get out of the car and go visit the staff. The staff are always happy to see my puppies and because of their love they show they are not scared for appointments. We totally recommend Wheatfield Animal Hospital for your vet services.
This animal hospital is horrible. They told me they wouldnt give me medication for my cat unless he was in pain. Cats are resilient, and hide pain well. They said he needed to be in visible pain until they would do anything about it. They are money hungry, dont care about your pets, and will do anything to force you to come in and pay insane expenses for a vet visit and other testing. Do not go here.
Wheatfield Animal Hospital (clinic ) is recommended highly who wants their pet to be treated with the upmost care , Great thorough Vets , greeted with a welcoming smile from staff ! Thank you for the great care for our dog Atticus ! Looking forward for the wonderful care following!
I thought I would never trust another vet with my dog but now not so sure. The front desk staff was wonderful, as usual. The vet didnt seem very caring. My dog appeared to have a sprain. She wanted to treat with acupuncture, xrays while under anesthesia, IV fluids, blood work...for a total of $1800. I instead decided to try medication-muscle relaxant & anti-inflammatory for $100. If that wouldnt have helped I would have opted for more aggressive treatment. Thankfully my dog was back to his old self within the week. Why perform such aggressive treatment without trying the obvious first?! Never even received a follow up call to see how he responded. I may have to re-think my vet options.
Weve taken all of our pets here and theyve always been courteous and patient. Theyre knowledgeable and are wonderful to have around when our pets have neared the end. Boarding is affordable and they are not there to take your money! Would definitely recommend.
I love this place! The doctors and Staff are extremely kind and helpful, they go above and beyond for me and my pets needs. We are always promptly seen especially if its urgent. I highly recommend them for all your pets needs!!!
Words can not express my gratitude for this hospital and Dr. Mott for her professional yet personal attention to our baby girl in her time of need. Even with all the pain that came with that day and choice that had to be met. They gave us such a wonderful last moment with her on earth. We have never been to your facility before but after being turned down by our own veterinarian you gave us the experience that was worth every minute. Thank you for taking care of our Chloe as if she was one of your own.Sincerely Rebecca and James Junn
The staff is very friendly and courteous. I called after my appointment with questions and concerns they answered with absolutely no hesitation or irritation. They really talked to me about everything and explained what was going on.
On time to appt time, gentle with pet and patient in answering all of owners questions. Always love the kind employees!
Everyone was extremely friendly and professional. My dog hates going to the vet and they made her feel as comfortable as possible. The vet didn’t even make her get up on the table, she kneeled on the ground and worked with my dog from there. I highly recommend this place.
Wheatfield Animal Hospital is the absolute best for our french bulldog Maverick. He is very scared when he goes to the vet but they take care of him each and every time. He was recently in a dog fight and they made time to see him within 15 minutes of the accident and I couldn’t thank them enough! We will continue to bring our guy here because of the wonderful staff!
I have found that the veternarians and staff take exceptional time and effort in taking care of my dog (baby) Zuzu. She absolutely loves going to see all of them and I never worry about her in their care. They treat her as if she was their own and I am so thankful for it.
During my last visit on Friday, August 11, 2023, Sarah was exceptional...professional, compassionate and so friendly! Wheatfield Animal Hospital loves my little girl, KayCee (feline)!
The age old saying of, I wouldnt take my dog there is exactly how I feel about this place! My dog was clearly sick and needed care. The veterinarian Ashley Mott asked a few questions about why my dog might be sick and did a so called physical on him she barely touched him it took 3 minutes. No one even took his temperature and she right away said bloodwork and xrays. Then they sent the office manager in with a astronomical quote for the testing, I asked if we could start with bloodwork and then go from there. She said no they had to do all the test or none. I told her I would take him elsewhere to be seen. They did not give a care in the world weather my doggie lived or died. I took him to another veterinarian the next day, they did bloodwork for $108.00 when I was quoted $350.00 here, on top of that the veterinarian that took 30 minutes examining my dog and actually did a physical on him said he would not even benefit from xrays, that my poor baby had something neurological going on. This place is all about the money and they are very cold hearted. I understand its a business, but at the end of they day they need to realize that they are treating our family members, and they could at least act like they give a darn! If you love your pets family members please steer clear of this place! The only one who actually acted like they cared was the receptionist at the front desk!
They showed a lot of concern to my sweet girl and gave her the best of care.
All they seem to care about is running you dry of money and barely for the animals life. My cat needed a supposed “life saving” surgery and they charged $6000 plus but my cat ended up dying 5 months later anyway when they said they expected to get at least 2 more years left out of her. Just recently I called to have an animal put down and they want $700 on the spot just to put him down. These prices are overly ridiculous and they should be ashamed of themselves.
I lost my dog and had to go back to Wheatfield Animal Hospital to pick Bella up.The lady who bring Bella out to me was very kind and very courteous.Wheatfield Animal Hospital is one of the best places I have ever took my pet and if I ever get another one I will be going back to them again
The best vet clinic in WNY. No matter where I go, I will always bring my babies to Wheatfield Animal Clinic. Just over a year ago, they saved my boy, Gummi. He had a tumor on his spleen and if it wasnt for this amazing place and amazing staff, I would have lost my boy. I owe this place an immense amount of gratitude and recommend them to anyone that needs pet care. They really are the best. The entire staff and the love they have for animals is like no other.
You guys gave us a second option for my cats issue. The kind workers and doctors.
Dr. Harper and his staff are wonderful! They go above and beyond for their patients. The care and compassion they showed me and my family, made our loss a bit easier. They told us exactly what was going on with our dog and answered all of our questions. I highly recommend Wheatfield Animal Hospital.
Incredibly friendly and pleasant staff! It is obvious from the very first visit that everyone at Wheatfield Animal Hospital loves their job and ADORES animals.
Everyone is so friendly! Results came quickly. All questions answered and they were sensitive to keeping costs down.
We are very happy with the treatment our dogs get and its always easy to make an appointment, even on short notice.
I brought my dog Pickles in December of 2017 for a second opinion because Companion care vet said he may heal at home instead of surgery, but surgery could be the likely outcome. Pickles was not getting any better at home after being on a joint supplement prescribe by companion care. Companion care also wants the money all at once. At Wheatfield animal hospital with Dr. Harper, gave me the option of a Care credit plan of which you can make payments. This made it easier on my pocket book and I had the surgery done with Dr. Harper, who also stated that Pickles was in a lot of pain and prescribe pain medicine for him. My dog started to feel better, and when the staples were removed after surgery, he started to put weight on his leg. Soon after he was walking a little more and trusting to use his leg more and more. I am so happy that I decided to go with Wheatfield animal hospital and Dr. Harper when I did and not wait any longer for surgery as my dog may not have done as well as he has. He is walking , running, and doing all the things he did before he tore the ligament in his knee. Dr. Harper did a wonderful job with the surgery and was worth every penny so my Pickles could walk and use his hind leg again.Thank you Dr. Harper!
Only giving 1 star because you have to. In total my visit took over an hour, to see the vet for 3 minutes. Was told it would be best to bring my dog in the day I got her by the receptionist, then tell me they cant really evaluate her when shes scared and in a new environment. Saw my dog for 3 minutes, literslly. Absolute waste of time and money Ill take my dog to a vet that is honest not someone out to make a couple bucks. Beyond annoyed with this place. The visit was totally unnecessary and it was as simple as checking her history and seeing that she already had what she needed. I have never had a dog before so I really had to no clue what to expect.
They are great. I cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness and being able to schedule an appointment so promptly during my pets time of need.
Easy to get quick emergency appointments. Staff are great with animals and made my pet feel very comfortable. Quick and available appointments .
We brought our 12 year old Chiweenie in to see Dr. Otto and everyone else on staff had great bedside manners. Unfortunately, we had to put our little one down and they were all sympathetic. Thank you all!
Got our pup in quickly and took care of her. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Where do I begin? I recently had my poor pup swallow a toy of hers whole, unfortunately getting stuck in her stomach, I will be honest this is not my primary vet for my dog but I was recommended here by a family friend, after bringing my Nola here the staff was EXTREMELY friendly over the phone. It made me feel so much nicer about the operation and all the stress I had been going through, they kept Nola overnight (transferring to another hospital that was 24/7) and we were able to pick her up the next day, Not even a week after my pups surgery I received a card in the mail by the staff here wishing my pup a speedy recovery. The operation went smoothly, she’s still healing, but as of now things are looking amazing, I can’t thank this place and it’s staff enough for helping my pup, any emergency situation I will 100% recommend this place to anyone that needs their pet looked at, she goes back in a little over a week to get all her staples removed, I will throw an extra update on this post when im finished there 👍 thanks again-Max Maio
The folks at Weatfield Animal Hospital are truly not carers of animals as evidenced by the young man that was told to leave earlier today because he didnt have $60 with him as he rushed his dog in because he was bleeding heavily from the rectum. Despite offering to come back later with the cash or to have a relative pay for the consultation by phone, Wheatfield Animal Hospital told him they werent interested and would not help and asked the young man to leave. No signs of compassion or caring whatsoever. I have brought our cats and dog here several times after switching from Pinewoods Animal Hospital after our vet left the practice, and didnt realize how heartless they were here until I saw this incident. Needless to say Ill not be bringing any of our animals here again in the future. Wheatfield Animal Hospital should be ashamed of themselves, and they should be alert to whos watching and listening to how they treat people that come into their facility.
I had to take my cat in tonight hes had a mass on his leg and do to covid I couldnt get him in. I am very sad because it might be cancer. The staff at whitefield animal hospital were amazing I have a big decision to make but they did not pressure me at all. They were caring and compassionate I will leave this in gods hands now.
Great place, good staff, professional, really care about your pets health!
We have been going to wheatfield animal hospital for almost 4 years now. I cannot say one bad thing about the staff or the facility. Prices have gone up as well as everything else in the world but for good pet care its worth it!
The staff was very friendly and made us all (especially Oliver) feel very good about our first visit. Everyone was smiling and very compassionate towards Oliver
Very friendly staff. The technician was very nice and explained what was happening to our cat very well. Overall, a nice vet clinic, never had any problems with bringing our animals here.
So thankful for the team at this hospital. They took great care of my baby and i am so grateful that i have found a long term vet close by my new home. They put me at ease and made no judgements and were so kind to me during distress. I cant thank them enough . Will never go anywhere else again
Just my first visit but I can already tell I made the right choice.
They care about your pet as if it was their own. Somehow, they know every pet by name, which makes you not feel like a lunatic when you call up and make an appointment for your dog by first name only. Its easy to get an appointment, even around work hours.
Our pup hurt her paw during our travels. Wheatfield was able to get us a same-day appointment and took good care of our girl. Highly recommend.
Always warm and welcoming. They dont overbook appointments thus hardly any wait time. Vets are thorough.
Had to be the worst experience at a vet ever. We tried this vet for my service dog as she has an ear infection but are very sorry we did. We have a great caring vet in Florida and were hoping for the same.We were met by a very rude young lady at the desk, no smile no care for us. She took our records copied them, took care of someone else, left us standing not know what to do so we just sat down. At checkout this same girl was even worse, let me standing at the counter and then walked out of the building. We finally we taken in and the vet tech could not have been more condescending. He took our history, took a q-tip to our dogs ear and left. They proceeded to do more billable test WITHOUT our approval. They handed us prescriptions that were very costly without even discissing it with us. We did ask the vet Dr Harper if we could get these elsewher cheaper he said No vet only which was a huge lie. They was 20.00 for prednisone which we were able to get for 4.00 at Wal Mart. Another ear med wanted 50.00 and Walmart was 32.00 and a 3rd they wanted 45.00 but we were able to get without a script for 28.00.The reviews I read about them money being more important than people or animals sadly was also true for us. The Dr was good but everything else was bad.I questioned all of the charges on the bill and the office manager did nothing at all for us. I explained about being upfront with test and cost and she said they do not do that. I was stuck paying a very high vet bill that could of and should have been lower. I would have been better off at the West side walk in clinic. So I would tell anyone considering Wheatfield Small Animal Hospital to seriously reconsider.
Thank you for helping us in our end of life experience for Butters. 😞 You all are professional and extremely caring.
They are wonderful with my pup (whose really not a pup anymore lol). My baby has a serious blood autoimmune disease and he needs very specialized and consistent care and the vets there are fantastic with his restrictions and care.
I loved this place the front desk is so nice they always offer you water or coffee . The veterinarians and staff are so nice and gentle with your pets they took care of my cat piglet and both me and piglet thank them deeply.
Quick shoutout to the Wheatfield Animal Hospital. The service they provided us with our cat, Ike, was top notch, from giving all the options, remaining impartial and nonjudgmental, accepting payment by having the Vet Tech run the card so nobody had to face a full waiting room while being upset, blanket-covered table and bottled water, back door so remains and paw print could be discretely handed over, and the awesome bedside manor or Dr Molly Hajec. Thanks for all the love!
Ive never been here except for Doordashing here today February 2nd 2023.The employees here defineatly take care of their delivery drivers thats for sure!!!Because of that if I did have a pet and it needed medical care Wheatfield Animal Hospital would be my 1st choice!! Thank you again kind staff!! 😘
Good experience. We were able to be seen really quick for an ear yeast infection in our Yorkie. We were in and out pretty quick. Price was good. Service was very friendly.
Ive been bringing my dog here for a few years now and we are always greeted by a friendly staff. Vets are always helpful and willing to answer questions. Highly recommended.
The staff all around is knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. They really seem to care about your pets. The knowledge and expertise they provide is top notch!
Very happy with them. Was my 1st time there, after 25 years at animal kingdom on grand island. Also was a major savings. I found my lab his new vet.
Wheatfield always takes such good care of my dogs. I am so grateful for their availability and kindness.
Terrible. Was told to bring in sick cat anytime during the day and when calling to let them know we were on our way a very rude woman named Kayla was very nasty and said we could not bring cat. Ill never call this vet again. Also have been told by a coworker they are outrageously ecpensive
I had an emergency with my cat and my regular vet was booked up and it would be several days before they could see him. I called Wheatfield Animal Hospital and they took him in right away. Everyone was super nice and they took great care of my kitty.
Absolutely amazing animal hospital!!!! They were sooo kind and just all around awesome!!!!! Took great care of my senior dog Lucky and provided loving service... thank you to all the staff that looked out for my old man
My pup had an emergency, we were in within the hour. They checked the wound at a later time and didnt charge us. This was the second time within 5 years that they did this for us. Very grateful.
Friendly, professional staff that is always willing to help. I always feel comfortable and at ease knowing that my fur kid is going to receive the best care possible.
The staff is SO gentle and kind with my fur baby. They truly care about your pets there and it shows 🤍
I want to thank Doctor Ashley Saffire for being so gentle with my Oscar. He was a beautiful little Basset Hound that was diagnosed with terminal cancer. All we were able to do was make him comfortable. He lasted another 5 months and when the time came for Dr. Saffire to help our baby over the Rainbow Bridge, she took my father and Oscar to the park across the street from the office she was previously working at in Lewiston, and sat them down underneath a tree. My father held Oscar is his arms and said a prayer while Oscar was sedated. When my father was ready, Dr Saffire let our little guy rest in peace. The way it was done was so compassionate and so beautiful that I will never forget it. If anyone was to choose a vet in the WNY area I would highly recommend Wheatfield Animal Hospital. When Doctor Saffire moved there we followed. My other dog Charlie was diagnosed with arthritis 3 days after Oscar passed. We feared the worst as he is getting up there in age and he was unable to walk. Dr Saffire performed surgery on one of his knees. Though he is in pain from the surgery, he is moving around better than he has in months. More importantly he is much happier. For a while we thought he would just waste away because his buddy was gone and not being able to run after his ball as he always loves to do. Now he is able to put weigh on that knee and go for walks. Any dog owner can relate that our animals are our family. We love them and want the best for them. Thank you Dr. Saffire you are an angel.
After the fourth of July my american Eskimo had the worst diareah. This went on for four days. I called Wheat field animal hospital and in their understanding financial strain the tried to help over the phone. So I awoke on Thursday July 9th and another of my dogs (a 5yo Havanese ) was lying by Mr in bed in a puddle of blood. I found 12 other places this had happened. We called Wheat field and they were able to see both. They said it mostlikely was colitis. Caused again if they had to guess from the fireworks. Well they took so good and loving care for them. They are both home and resting. We will see what the morning bringsThank you to everyone at Wheatfield Animal Hospital.
The staff are so friendly and really take the time to know your pet. The doctor explaining every part of the process and how the medications are to be administered was helpful.
Dr H. Is the best vet I could ask for. He is great with both of my south Africa boerboels. Hes always welcoming and the staff is amazing. Love them all. Thank you for everything you guys have done for my boys.
The staff was great, vet took time to speak to me (very proffessional and knowledgeable) and the price was fair. Will continue taking my dog there.
They are super friendly and willing to answer any questions. They also don’t push if you need to break up trips due to payments etc. they are understanding and good with my dog!!!
Wheatfield animal hospital is a wonderful place to take your pet. My dog is a rescue and nervous as hell. They are.patient with.her and treat her gold!! Love that place!! Would go no where else!!
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff and they are extremely caring to my pets. Really happy there.
Everyone is so friendly, caring and professional. My dog Bella is in great hands!! Thank you for taking great care of my dog.
The clinic is always clean & neat. The staff always make sure any messes made by pets are cleaned up immediately. I never dread calling to take Declan in as they make Declan & I feel welcome & comfortable.
As a veterinarian its a good place but theyre markup on their prescriptions is incredibly High . I got charged $188 for an antibiotic that I could get at tops for $70. Walmart was probably 60 dollars.
Gave my dog surgery when not needed because they wanted $5,000 MONEY. Caused GRAND MAL SEIZURES as a 1 year dog. Over 2 000 horrific SEIZURES with meds n finally passed. Dr Harper n crew are all MONEY hungry skum
Nice clean atmosphere with friendly, caring and attentive doctor and staff. All took time to listen and address our concerns.
Whether its routine check-ups, emergency exams, or boarding and kenneling, the staff have sought to provide excellent care for our dog, educate us, and keep us all at ease.
I am very happy how thorough Dr Ma is with each visit we come in for. The fast appointments when I need one and friendliness of the front desk.
Staff is always friendly and helpful. Fast response and scheduling
They got us in on a rush, same day, basis when I am not a regular client of theirs. I greatly appreciate it. They helped us when we had an urgent need.
Theyre very compassionate and caring. They helped us through a very sad situation and we are so grateful. Our baby went in peace.
Very professional and friendly staff
Our dog had never been seen at this vet before but they got us in the same day I called for an urgent appointment!! Highly recommend this vet!!
