Petco Grooming

Stylist Charlotte C. is amazing. My baby poodle ends up coming beautiful after her work. I noticed she loves what she does and her work shows it. Very polite and also explains the process of fur growth since my dog is still a puppy. I would definitely recommend her. Petco you have an amazing pet stylist.

Really nice the girls took really good care of my baby. Took their time with her so she was comfortable and when I picked her up she had the cutest ribbons on her ears. Been going to petco for 12 years for grooming with my oldest dog and I will say they used to be able to do more. For example my oldest dog is 12 years old and is particular about who touches him. They used to be able to muzzle him as needed but now theyre not allowed to do so. Used to be a lot more convenient and consistently had the same groomers there. They seem to go through a rotation of groomers often.

Samantha R. was absolutely incredible with Charlie. She made the experience for her so pleasant and an added bonus, was letting me know how she was doing throughout the process. I cannot thank and recommend her enough, she is absolutely awesome !!! I would give her 10 stars if I could.

Abysmal. I brought my black and white sheepadoodle in for a simple bath, blowout and full brush. Not even a groom – – I have a groomer I’m loyal to, and she gets groomed every four weeks. I was charged about $70 because she’s 65 pounds – – which I was fine with. The young man with the nose ring, didn’t seem especially excited about having her as a client. When I picked her up, I could tell that her head and ears weren’t fully dried and her tail wasn’t brushed out at all. I had to ask him to take her in the back and brush her tail out, which he reluctantly did. Her body was fluffy – – but she felt coarse, not soft. And her white parts (like her feet) still looked dirty.I was looking for a place to take my dog twice a month between grooms that was closer to home since the place I go to is up in Nesconset. Unfortunately, it will not be Petco. The quality of the service and the vibe I got from the staff was not acceptable for me. That is a shame for the company, since not only are they losing about $150 a month, I also buy toys for her while I’m in there.

Nova was bright and shiny and in a good mood when we came to pick her up. Nails and pads nicely done.

Petco grooming always does a great job on my fur baby Luna. She is a huskimo with a lot of hair. When we pick up her hair is soft and less full of shedding. Best place ever.

Don’t go here - horrible customer service. Booked an early grooming appointment. The building was locked so I called to see what was happening and was told I’m late and that my appointment is canceled. I’m late because I was trying to get into the building! Needless to say will not be coming back.

I asked for my dog to have a shape up/ clean up with a trim. When I picked him up he was still wet, the groomer only trimmed his belly the rest of him does not look touched besides his nails. Im very disappointed. I spent $160 for a nail trim that I could have done myself.

I usually take my dog to Ooh La La Posh Pets but I wanted to have a backup place just in case so I made an appt and sent my dog in. When she goes to Ooh La La she goes in super excited and comes out still super happy. When she went in she was happy. She came out absolutely terrified and uncontrollably shaking. All she got was a trim!!! It was not her first grooming and she was shaking! I will never go back here. She didnt even look nice. I recommend Ooh La La poch pets to everyone. They are the best and she comes out smelling wonderful and super happy and beautiful! I dont recommend this place to anyone. Save your time and money

I brought my pup, Clementine in for a grooming. The groomer, Charlotte came out to get my pup and was very polite and I could tell that she was an animal lover. I am going to ask for her the next time. Good experience for both me & my pup!!

I cannot cut our dog’s nails; yet, she was so good with the groomer Groomer was great. Did our dog’s nails so quickly and without stressing her.

We always try to schedule our visits with the same two groomers. They are always very kind, friendly and attentive to my pet. They always do a great job and I am always pleased with the service.

We were walkins at the end of the day to get my dogs nails clipped, they were very helpful , helping me look up her rabies vac, and did a good job on her nails and very nice the entire timewhich is not always the experience that i have had there I didnt recognize them from before but they were just exceptional

Our groomer is helpful, polite and loving with our pet she also does an excellent job on our dogs grooming we were very frustrated having Mobil service to our home private groomers none were able to do what our groomer does now at petco we are extremely pleased !

I made and appointment for the first time online through the Petco website. I thought the appt was for a certain day. I called to cancel because I didnt have the vaccination papers. I only had them on my phone, and the other reviews state you need it printed out. When I called a young lady answered the phone, she realized that I had the wrong date (sorry Im human) she began to laugh almost uncontrollably. She then proceeded to tell me that I should make an appointment sooner so he can get groomed. I told her he has rottweiler fur so its not an emergency. She told me thats no big deal and started to laugh uncontrollably. She said that I have plenty of time to get the vaccinations before his appt. Continues to laugh and after that I decided to cancel the appt. I told her the reason was because how rudely she was laughing and how it was completely unprofessional. Going to follow these other review recommendations and go to pet smart.

Maybe I would give a higher rating if they ever actually seen my dog. I always took my dog to pet smart in lake grove by the smith haven mall but I wanted to start using pet co because it’s much closer to my house. The first time I attempted to get my dogs nails cut they turned me down because I only had a digital copy of his rabies paper on my phone that the vet emailed me (pet smart accepts digital copys) so I took blame and just kept it in mind for the next time. A few months later I try again with it printed out but was turned down because I was told I need to make an appointment online and they had no time to cut my dogs nails. So again I drove all the way to pet smart where you don’t need an appointment for a nail trim. The the third and final attempt I go on the website to make an appointment but the web site doesn’t allow you to make an appointment for a nail trim it says that it is a walk in only service. So I call up pet co in Patchogue to make an appointment over the phone I press 1 on the automated system for grooming the phone rings and someone picks up I asked to make about an appointment and was told “ I can’t help with that you called the wrong number. You have to call back and press 1 for grooming.” I explained that I did press 1 and took a screenshot on my phone to prove it. I was then told that my phone must have something wrong with it and to call back and press the right buttons this time. Needless to say I didn’t call back and won’t be back. If they are to lazy to take walk ins for nail trims and are that rude to customers just imagine how they must treat the dogs people drop off for grooming. I would hate to see what goes on in the back room.

My dog smelled so good after being groomed. Her fur was so soft and shiny. The girls did a great job!!

We have been bringing our dog for grooming at this location since we got him. Everyone there is very nice and treats our dog as if it was their own. We have used multiple groomers at this location and they all have done a great job with our dog.

Jules is always great with our 4 fur babies, and we go where he goes they change her location so we go the extra way. Treat pups like family.

I called to get a price for a bath and trim for a golden retriever. The price was much higher than other groomers in the area and the woman said that they would tell me what she needed done. She didnt know that she was talking to someone that had worked as a groomers assistant and also, since its my money I decide what she needs.

I wish there was other ways to tip like on our receipt where it ask you but that’s in Petco but the services is amazing super friendly amazing staff

Really good experience. The groomer Charlotte took care of our dog super well and we loved the haircut, he is a very hairy dog so is not that easy to get a good cut all the time. So happy in finding something easy to book and with good quality near us.

Always do a great job with Calis nails

Pup went in for a nail clipping. He can be quite a difficult and he was, took 2 stylists to get tye job done. They didnt give up and they did amazing.

I had the worst experience with the groomers in Petco. I scheduled an appointment and the groomer asked me to bring my rabies shot document for my dog. I did! I had everything. I was taking my dog to PetSmart for the last 4 years to get groomed with no issues. My dog has always had a Banfield wellness and insurance, so I stay on top of getting everything done. When I arrive for my dogs appointment at Petco Grooming the staff was very rude to me. I waited 45 min before I was acknowledged. The lady asked me for my dogs paperwork, so I gave it to her and she read it over for 10 min. After that she told me that other clients were waiting outside ahead of me, so I waited another 20 min. I had a feeling that the groomer was very racist. She looked at my dog and said that she couldnt groom him. I was so upset! I asked her why, so she called another groomer from the back and a guy approached me. He told me that he didnt have time as well. So what was the reasoning of me scheduling an appointment and receiving reminder text messages. I called PetSmart 15min later after almost being in tears. The groomer from PetSmart asked me to come right in & they did a marvelous job. I was trying to change to Petco because the location is closer to my home. The PetSmart location is in Commack but its worth the travel. Im so disappointed in Petco in Patchogue on Waverly on Sunrise Hwy.
