Petco Grooming

Bernadette is the most experienced groomer I have ever used! Shes professional, a perfectionist and she makes my Bishon Frise JJ like a show dog. I went to the mall after she groomed him and we couldnt walk through the mall without people stopping us saying what a beautiful dog! I told them Petco, Bernadette is his groomer. JJ loves her! Shes a beautiful person. JJ loves McDonalds too! My husband is feeding him a hamburger as he sits in his stroller.

I get my dog groomed here. Autumn is very nervous leaving me, but Bernadette takes amazing care of her and makes her very comfortable. She also does an amazing job! I’ve been getting my dog groomed her for awhile.

We have taking our Samoyed a couple of times to Petco in Poughkeepsie and it has always been great. They listened to our request and they do an excellent job at grooming our dog.

The experience from making the appointment, including the reminders, was flawless. Bernadette was awesome from start to finish. She answered all my questions regarding Benjis first haircut, which included what she felt she could do this time, because it was his first haircut, and could be done in the future when he gets more used to being groomed. I would definitely recommend Bernadette and Petco to anyone that needs to get their dog groomed.

Wonderful experience! Our huskies, Vader and Jedi received grooming services with Amanda and they both were so happy and beautiful when we picked them up. Can’t say enough about the extra attention and love she gives our dogs. Huskies are a handful, but she loves on them and makes them so comfortable!

We love Bernadette . She listen to what our grooming needs are for our pup. And she is always so patientAnd kind .

This is the second dog we have brought to this groomer. We return because of the high quality care given to our dogs. We see no reason to ever go anywhere else!!

This was the first time that my puppy had been groomed. She was very wiggly (at 19 pounds!) and absolutely does not like having her nails cut. She looked beautiful when I picked her up and was very happy and not traumatized at all. Amanda took into consideration that Lady did not like the blow dryer and let her air dry. We are going to be doing this monthly so that she becomes more comfortable and relaxed about the process.

We see soft loose poop from sick dogs all over the floor in Petco. The area where dogs are kept waiting for grooming definitely not sanitized. Healthy and sick puppies are being kept in the same area. My puppy went to Petco healthy and came back out sick. Now I have to bring him back for Vet visit, which I have to pay for. Evidence of neglect is clearly there. I won’t hesitate to present photos to my attorney.

Ashley was given explicit instructions about how my dogs face was to be cut and she did not follow my instructions. She cut the hair so it grows into my dogs eyes and becomes an extreme irritant. Not only that, but her face is lopsided. The total charge was over $60!! This negligence is TOTALLY unacceptable. This could affect my dogs vision!! Ashley was made aware of my concerns ahead of time, and I trusted her, as she seemed to understand what was asked of her. Also, some nails were cut, others untouched and Ashley never bothered to mention this or a reason why this happened. Given that the salon was so quiet, I do not understand the lack of attention to detail. I arrived to pick up my dog within 15 minutes of their request, to hear her screaming in the back with the stylists, who were not grooming at the time, just ignoring her. Because the dog was upset, I quickly put her in her carrier without looking her over...and I gave Ashley a $10 tip! I am beyond unhappy with this salon, I WILL be sharing my experience with my friends who own dogs.

Amanda understood exactly what we were looking for regarding the grooming of our 2 dogs. She was loving and friendly towards them. I have been using Petco & Amanda as my groomer of choice for over 6 years

We have 2 French Bulldogs and we could not find a better groomer than Amanda. One of our dogs Napoleon can be difficult, but she handles him with no problem. We have had other groomers but so far this is the best.

My dog is special has high anxiety and is a handful but Amanda gets the job done with excellence, everytime, all the time. We have come to count on her being there for Max and she never disappoints. Super friendly, courteous and so professional at her craft its the only place I will bring him because I know when I leave I donr have to worry, hes in amazing hands. Shes the best!!

Petco groomers were wonderful with my dog. They did a great job and you can tell theyre animal lovers.

Amanda has been our groomer for years. I find her to be the most dedicated and loving staff member; not to mention her love for our dog, Mitzi. I always schedule appointments with Amanda and trust in her fully.

Very kind and knowledgeable groomers who my boys just loved. hard to find people who love their jobs as much as Amanda and Reni. Both boys loved the experience and were well behaved the whole time. they both look and smell amazing.

Dorothy is amazing, spectacular, fabulous! I have been using her for years and both Jacks can be unpredictable depending on the time! Thankfully its only one at time! She is so patient with their mood swings! And they always look amazing! She is my go to!

Bernadette S is like the dog whisperer. She is so good with our dog who is timid and scared of grooming.

The website does not allow you to make an appointment for just a nail clip without a bath or another full package. Getting through to the grooming staff was a challenge, I tried for 2 days before getting through to someone, but once I did, scheduling was quick and the actual appointment was friendly and fast as well. If you could fix the website it would be awesome!

Amanda Corbo is our go-to favorite for nail trims - shes always excited to see my girls and has the skill and patience to make the session as stress free as possible. She has what it takes to deal with my Corgi Rosie, who is not a huge fan of pedicures. Amanda is patient , calm, and delivers the peace of mind I need when entrusting my dogs to someone elses care.

He looked great. Soft and they really got his undercoat out. He was shedding like crazy before I brought him and he had had a furminator bath somewhere else that didnt really help with the shedding. After the Petco furminator bath, he is barely shedding and he looks and smells great! Thanks!
