We LOVE Armando! From the very first conversation about our 6-month-old wild child, we knew Armando was the one that could help. Our pup Harper attended a 3-week board and train for basic puppy commands, leash control and resource guarding. The improvement is immeasurable! Our dog Maggie, is a 2 year old mixed breed who was very fearful, barked at everyone that came near our house, pulled us on the leash, and came very close to biting a couple of people. After doing a thorough search on Google and reading Google reviews, we found Armando. After a 30 minute conversation, he recommended his 3 week board and train. When we took Maggie to Armando, he was very explicit in what was expected of her as well as what was expected of us after her training was complete.Three weeks later we picked up our new Maggie. She no longer pulls on the leash, knows how to sit and stay, and does not bark at everyone. More importantly, we had guests for Christmas and she was calm as calm could be.Armando does great work and we now understand it is up to us to continue Maggies training. He gave us the basics we need, as well as 7 1/2 hours of video for us to view. I highly recommend taking obedience lessons with Armando, even if you think your dog behaves sufficiently or that it’s not worth the investment. With just one lesson I could immediately tell a difference with how my dog interacted with me and how he conducted himself with walking on a leash. And as we continued with the lessons he became extremely well behaved and more compliant to how he was before, I can now take him on walks through out the neighborhood without him pulling the leash, he can go for car rides without barking at people walking outside the car, and has overall made huge improvements in his living conditions. I felt like I had continuous support and advice from Armando after and during every session. You can really tell he puts a lot of effort and care when it comes to working with dogs and assisting people with handling their dog and the work shows with the outcome of the training I received.

My wife and I just picked up our 1.5 year old Sheepadoodle last week from Armando (The Hyper Pup) and are already seeing so much improvement. We dropped him off for a 3 week board and train while we were getting married and traveling for our honeymoon. Me and my wife brought our 9 month old Golden Doodle puppy, Bentley to Armando after reaching a point of just not knowing what to do with him. He’s such a good boy but is easily distracted and can be very stubborn in terms of listening, following orders and respecting boundaries. One of our neighbors who has a mini doodle said that their dog was also very similar in behavior and they had reached a breaking point. They said they brought her to a guy named Armando who they described as amazing and the experience as a success. We did some research and reached out. We spoke with Armando and after a brief phone call we decided we would jump at the opportunity to have our dog professionally trained. We brought Bentley in and dropped him off for a 4 week board and train. We were regularly checking in on his Facebook, Instagram and YouTube to follow Bentleys progress. After 4 weeks all I have to say is WOW. Upon arrival to pick him up we did some training with him. And it’s night and day the way he listens and respects boundaries. Once again he wasn’t a bad dog. But Armando really got to learn him and work out all of the things that were issues or could have been bigger issues in the future. Our 3 year old goldendoodle Champ is a nervous dog with fear based aggression. His reactivity, aggression, and overall lack of control has been a cause of stress and we decided to try the 3 week board and train program with Armando. We are so glad we did. Bo had the 3 week board and train, then we had training as the humans need to learn as well. Armando was so good with Bo and with all our follow ups. Bo used to get yelled at daily, now we dont have to yell at him - fantastic job and would highly recommend.

After much pressure from my family to rehome my unruly Great Dane, I contacted Armando for help. He was so helpful, professional and gave me hope. I highly recommend working with Armando if you need any help with training. In less than a month he has helped us learn the proper training methods to deal with our dog’s issues. Our two year old pup went from barking, growling, pulling and snarling at almost every dog he met on leash to being a well behaved little guy when introduced to another dog. Armando has been a life saver for our family. He helped us with our fear aggressive dog years ago and now with a new puppy we have recently added to the family. I had no business getting a second dog. (Just ask my first dog.) But my first dog, Whiskey, and I had settled into a comfortable routine and I thought there was room in our lives for another. However, the dog we ended up with, Obie, immediately took up all of that room and then some. He ran roughshod over both of us, terrorized the neighbors (who lovingly refer to him as Cujo) from behind our Invisible Fence, and destroyed roughly $57,000 worth of household items in six months. And worst of all, I could not walk him on a leash more than 20 feet away from our house without him seizing up in fear and whipping me in circles. I returned from at least one “walk” with my hands bleeding from the friction of the leash. I needed help.Thanks to my daughter’s online research, help arrived in the form of Hyper Pup K9 Training. Armando sized Obie and me up within ten minutes of meeting us. With directness but good humor he laid out the problem: Obie needed a strong leader and I needed to learn how to be that leader. My son contacted Armando for help with our 2 yr old Bordoodle, Charlie, who was becoming more aggressive around certain people and dogs. He was also not very confident. We met with Armando 3 times. His knowledge of canine psychology combined with his training ability and experience, produced amazing results in a short time. Armando is competent and insightful. He knows dogs inside and out. And he sizes up the owners pretty quickly, too. He is straightforward and doesnt waste your time by mincing words.After only one session with Armando, by using his instructions, we saw almost instant improvement in our dogs behavior. I must share with everyone. The hyper pup and Armando kept me from putting my boy up for adoption. Bennett as you may see in some of the videos was terrible on leash, he actually took me down one day and broke 12 of my ribs! Armando was a savior!!!! He did exactly what he said he would do in regards to Bennett training, and the follow up support is fantastic!!!! I was so anxious when I got him back but he taught us to be confident!!! Whoever said that you cannot teach an old dog new tricks has never trained with Armando, owner/operator of the Hyper Pup. One training session completely transformed the way I walk with my 7 year old dog! I was blown away by how quicikly the skills that he taught me worked and what a complete 180 it was from how we had walked before. I actually enjoy my walks now! Armando also was so helpful in teaching me about how to be a leader for my dog and to help me understand not only the skills/technique but the reasons behind them. Our fearful dog, Mabel, did four weeks of board and train with Armando and its made a huge difference. She came back to us calmer and more confident. We first met with Armando at our home in Spring of 2021 for a consultation. It was an overwhelming, but extremely eye opening meeting as we were at a frustrating and anxious point with our 3-year old fearful rescue dog. Armando spent over an hour with us, evaluating our situation and provided us with insight on how to approach our dogs aggression. In this consultation meeting, Armando shared a few training tips, which we failed at, and knew we had work to do!! We decided it would be best to send our dog for a board-and-train with Armando.For this three week “retreat”, Armando worked with our dog on learning many skills to make them habits. A few of those skills included: walking on leash outdoors, multiple behavioral commands and “tools” to give him a feeling of more confidence and guidance (all of which we unknowingly weren’t providing him). Right before our dog returned to us, Armando sent us an evaluation of the three-week progression and important information on how to reintegrate our dog back into the home.When our dog returned, it was time for our training (the human training) to begin. Armando provided thorough information, but not in an overwhelming way (as there is a lot to learn). He took his time and worked at our speed giving us tools and lessons in small-doses. We are a continual work in progress (and still working with Armando), but the lessons and tools we’ve learned thus far have made an incredible change for our dogs behavior and in turn, for our family. Through Armando, we have insight now into what our dog needs and what we need to do to provide that for him. Ive worked with Armando for about a year now. My dog Jessie went to see him for a board and train last year. She has done amazing with her off leash training! Armando is the best! I brought my rescue, Carter, to him worried that his behavioral issues would be too much. Armando is thoughtful in his evaluation and clear in his instructions. He has given me the tools and the confidence to create a safe and happy life for my dog and me.

I am sure there are many good dog trainers out there. So what sets Armando part from the rest of the pack? (no pun intended!) First and foremost he cares. I have never met anyone who cares not only about the dogs he trains but his clients. His end product is not only to have a dog that knows his commands but his true end product is to ensure that the family has a loving pet that they can live with. Armando has the attitude of Ill do whatever it takes to work with you to accomplish the end result. Of course a lot still depends on the owner to follow his instruction.What else sets Armando apart from everyone else? Communication. I had called three dog training people. Armando responded within a couple of hours. The other two were a couple of weeks. OK you say Ive seen this before. Hyper Pups Board and Train has made a huge difference with Mac. When I watched Armando put Mac through a demo of his new skills, I wanted to learn how to do that too. Just got our almost two year old pup, Carmelo, back from a three week board and train with Armando and what a difference! Our hyper boy started off jumping up on people, pulling on the leash, and completely ignoring me, among other things. After three weeks with Armando he’s a well mannered boy and completely off leash trained. Armando was able to teach Carmelo core commands as well as instruct me how to utilize the commands for a more structured home environment and better relationship with my dog. We both have some work ahead of us to maintain the behavior Armando has established but with Armando’s way of training we will be able to continue to build on the foundation he has provided. Even after our three week training ended Armando has met with us on multiple occasions to make sure I know how to use the commands and become a better handler for Melo. Where to start.We called Armando after we had gotten to a point that we realized both our family and our dog were at a breaking point. Our 2 year old pit mix, Bo, was becoming harder to control, territorial of our yard, and increasingly uncertain of other dogs.Bo is love. He is a snuggle bug, and just a great dog, but at the same time he is an excitable dog with a high prey drive and an inability to focus in distracting environments. This is a dangerous mix. His high prey drive led to a few backyard breakouts and altercations with other dogs in our neighborhood. With two little kids, another dog, and a neighborhood full of people around us, we knew we had to do something different before someone or our dog got hurt.Armando took Bo in for a 4 week Board and Train program. During our time working together so far, Armando is communicative, knowledgeable, such a great teacher! and most of all, honest. He never sugar coats and tells you exactly what he believes your dog needs.Armando weaned Bo off of Prozac while in his care and created a structured training environment for Bo. He shared with us what he was learning about Bo throughout the process and what to be prepared for when he came home.We started our training with Armando in preparation of bringing Bo back home during the fourth week. During just the first visit, yes, we, saw big changes in Bo, but more importantly - we learned so much from Armando. He trained us, in order for us to train Bo.This is not a magic solution. Sending your dog to Board and Train does not mean they are going to come home a different animal and stay that way. This takes a change in your own mindset, and a dedication to the long-term management of your dog.With that mindset, we have had Bo home for a little over 24 hours, and are already so hopeful for the future of our family and our new relationship with our dog. Prior to leaving for Board and Train, Bo could not be walked on a leash. Now, we have gone on 6 walks just since Ive picked him up. When people entered the house, he used to bark and jump to get attention. My parents visited yesterday. He did not bark once, did not jump once, and stayed by my side their entire visit. I mentioned before his hesitancy and aggression with other dogs. Today, we passed a dog on the other side of the street. He did not bark. He sat calmly with me, and waited for the dog to pass.Armando provides you and your dog with the skills, tools and knowledge to succeed. Hank is a rescue dog, we soon discovered had many issues that seemed to be getting worse as time went on. We worked with other trainers in the past but still continued to have difficulty. When we reached out to Armando he was very upfront, truthful and willing to help.Hank recently returned from a board & train. While he was there we were updated and also given information to help us with his transition home. Since being home Hank is much more responsive and listening. Armando has helped with developing structure androutine. Armando is amazing. We sent our dog to him for board and train. The transformation was shocking. Before the training, he was an out of control 9 month old. When he came back, he was more calm and constantly made eye contact with us to look for us to direct him. Armando was so great in teaching us how to continue our training with Charlie. Armando has been so incredibly helpful to us and our little reactive (unconfident) pit mix. He’s patient and funny and is great at finding the root of the problem and showing you how to work through it with your dog. We are all feeling safer and more confident both on leash and off.

We had our young pit mix enrolled in the board and train program in summer 2018. Armandos training program transformed our dog. He became responsive to commands, even under distraction (other dogs etc) and the basic training he completed provided a foundation for continued outstanding behavior. What a difference three weeks board and training with Armando did for our eight month old Vizsla girl! She was very hyper reactive and lacked focus. She often would jump and constantly counter surf our kitchen island looking for anything she could reach. She would nip when she wanted attention or got overly excited and would take socks or pretty much anything she could reach. Thanks to Armando she now doesn’t counter surf or go after our socks and feet anymore, complete transformation. She stays in place now when we cook or eat at the table. Armando was able to get her to walk / heal with no leash pulling and he will continue to work with us so that we master that too. Armando has given us the tools to significantly better manage our pup and the ongoing guidance to be successful! We were so fortunate to find Armando! Armando was fantastic when it helping train Caesar on his 3 week board and train. He came to Armando as pulling on his leash and choosing not to listen to us amoungst other things. My dog’s group class training was interrupted by COVID, so I tried training on my own – but it was clear I didnt have the time or experience to train my pup to be reliable off-leash while out on hikes.Hyper Pup’s Board and Train program trained him to the e-collar and in three weeks he was working off leash outdoors. He taught us training techniques that have allowed us to be assertive dog owners and ultimately improve our relationship with our puppy. Just a month ago, our sibling Shar-pei Puppies were almost unmanageable. Ive struggled with my boy Jack for years and could never find a reputable trainer when we lived in NJ. After moving into an apartment setting Jacks behaviors started to get worse. In doing some research I had found Armando. Jack just came back from his three week board and train, my boyfriend and I noticed a difference right away. Prior to leaving for his board and train when hed see another dog outside hed pull on his leash and act out. The moment Armando dropped him off another dog was across the street and Jack was sitting next to him, still whining but not pulling and it was an amazing sight to see. Later that night walking him myself another dog was near and he wasnt nearly as reactive as he has been in the past. I still have a lot of work to do with Armando but Im looking forward to bettering Jacks life out here in NY! I would definitely recommend him to anyone having issues with their pup.

Hyperpup has helped us in the past with some issues. So when we started having some aggression issues with our new pup it was obvious to us, who we were going to ask for help. Armando was quick to set up a training session with us. During the session not only did he show us how to correct the behavior but he explained to us why it was happening in the first place. Armando, owner of The Hyper Pup, is truly the dog whisperer. He is obviously super knowledgable, loves dogs, and goes the extra mile to help the animal and more importantly train the dogs humans to continue conditioning at home.We rescued our pup Zoe during the Pandemic. Training with Armando has vastly improved the quality of both my dogs life as well as my own! Abigail was so easily distracted prior to training with Armando that away from home I couldnt even get her to look at me let alone listen to me ff-leash. I was really nervous to send my 8 mth old pup Ginsburg away but after doing some research found Armando and was immediately impressed. The first phone consultation lasted over an hour and he spent the time answering our many questions - he never once tried to sell us on anything but just offered helpful advice. Having spoken with many other board and train options I decided immediately Armando was the right choice. We took Ginsburg the 3 hr drive to for his board and train and yes I cried - but throughout the 3 weeks Armando posted on social media videos of the training and I could tell not only was Ginsburg learning a ton but he was also getting a lot of love and attention. After his 3 weeks I’ve been so impressed w how much better behaved Ginsburg is. Better patience, food manners, going to his place. A few weeks after picking him up I was struggling with structured walks, recall and jumping still / Armando quickly scheduled a zoom call and we even drove back for another in person session. It’s been so helpful not only seeing the progress - including my own- but also just comforting to have someone to ask questions to when I need help. Just yesterday I finally crated Ginsburg for over an hr and left the house and not one bark - huge victory! Thanks Armando - would highly recommend to anyone considering a board and train!

Armando and Hyper Pup was a wonderful experience start to finish. With quick response times for our initial phone interview and accurate time frames, it was easy setting up meeting/pickup dates. Once at training we were updated regularly and taught the skills to continue the work at home. Armando has been a lifesaver for us. I am not a novice dog owner, but our current puppy has proven to be quite challenging. We would have never been able to properly train her without him!

Our Lab/Weimaraner mix Cassidy will be 3 in December. She is a real sweetheart has a great disposition and can be incredibly stubborn at times. She has always been a puller but was bite by a small dog in February and has taken her pulling to a new level as she now lunges and barks at small dogs. It’s really hard to handle Cassidy if the little dog starts the barking. She is friendly as long as the little dog is friendly back. We have used a prong collar on her since she was a 6 months and have found success in handling but not since the bite. We called Armando for help. Once the situation was discussed he said I believe we can fix this but I need to see how you handle her. He came to our home last week and observed our routine. He suggested a larger prong collar and instructed us on the proper way to handle the leash. We purchased a Hermès Sprenger prong collar, followed Armando’s recommendations and we are blown away at how much better our walks are. This was best thing we could’ve asked for. We took her to a park this weekend and received soooo many compliments on how good she was walking and not pulling. Strongly recommend The Hyperpup!

Armando was recommended to me by two friends who had sent their dogs to him and were very satisfied. Finn, my standard poodle puppy, was just too much to handle. He ignored my attempts to get him to behave and to walk on leash. He was a counter-cruiser, and I knew I needed help when I found Finn with his paws on the stove and the burner was on. After his three week board and train the difference was remarkable. Armando explained that the training was as much for me as for Finn. He has great insights on dog and human behavior. Together Finn has learned, and I reinforce, sit, stay, down, place, off, come and leave it. Today I took Finn to Lowe’s and he was so very well-behaved. Something I could not have imagined before Armando. I (we!) highly recommend.

Armondo has completely made a world of difference for our family. He took our 1.5 year old Rottweiler for a 3 week board and train and he’s a different dog. We brought our one year old Shepherd to Armando for the board and train program because she was very fearful and acting aggressively towards people, and other dogs. Armando is the best! We sent our 1 1/2 year old Golden Retriever to him for 3 weeks of board and train. We struggled to train Louie to walk with a loose leash, have any structure, and we were unsure how to help his fear of new people. Armando gave us so much insight into how to help Louie become more confident. He also trained Louie to walk at a heel, sit and lay down for long periods of stay, as well as go to place. Armando was recommended by a friend, and he has been excellent. We purchased a 7- year old poodle about two months ago. She had been a breeder at a cockapoo breeding farm. We were unsuccessful in getting her to pee and poop outside. Rather she regularly did that inside our house. We consulted with Armando, he made some suggestions, and we implemented them. Armando Morales is excellent. Our two 14 month old Aussiedoodle pups spent three weeks with Armando in his Board and Train program. I was feeling anxious about sending them but it has been one of the best decisions we have ever made. Toby and Mason were more then a handful. Both boys are extremely playful and energetic. The major issue we were experiencing was Toby was bullying Mason. After meeting with Armando, we felt very comfortable and confident that he would be able to help.
