VCA Adirondack Animal Hospital

Absolutely love it here. I will admit when I first started bringing my dog here about 5 years ago I wasn’t overly happy. The receptions specifically were a bit rude and unhelpful. But in the past few years there has been new staff members added and now I love it here. The reception staff specifically is phenomenal. They are so kind, knowledgeable and compassionate. Any problems I’ve had with my dog they get me in right away and are super flexible. The vet tech/assisting staff is also amazing. Again overall just super kind, knowledgeable and compassionate. The Dr’s are great I personally see Dr.Judge normally and he’s the best! Very informative, caring and trusting of the animals them selves. Having a pit mix I’ve had a few experiences at different vet facilities where you can tell the Dr is a little standoffish and nervous. Not Dr.Judge, he gets right on the floor and close to my pup. Even lets my dog give him kisses while he gets his vaccines. I’ve had to do a couple drop off visits over the years and they are so great about calling and keeping you updated through out the day. Even regular visits if there is something wrong they always have gone out of their way a couple days after the visit to call and make sure my dog is doing well. Can’t recommend this office enough. So thankful for the team at this location. I just moved here and hadn’t established a vet for my pup.My girl underwent a spay at another location 2 days prior, and I woke up to excessive blood and diarrhea. I had heard good things about this location and was there before they opened the doors. As soon as they unlocked the door they brought us in, addressed all my concerns, came up with a plan of treatment and executed it. This will be my vet moving forward.

I can not say enough good things about this place. They are gentle and kind and considerate from the receptionist to the nurses to the doctors. They understand your pet is a part of your family and they tend to them like they are family there too. Dr. Thomas did all three of my kitties spay/neuter and I have never had a better experience. I am a helicopter pet mom so believe me when I say this is the place to go for great care.

I have a appointment for my furrbabiee on the 6th so Ill update my review but so far the customer service was sufficient, the lady was so helpful and thorough and assured I understood how the care club worked. Im extremely excited for my Ash Ashes Tonycon Bailey to get his first visit. Update soon!

Brought my 2 year old cat there for visit and recieved excellent care and dr judge took the time to explain and listen. Absolutely amazing place to bring loved fur babies

VCA Adirondack Animal HospitalThe kitten killersHere comes a rant.I brought my newly found stray to VCA on Ridge road in Queensbury. She was malnourished, but very energetic and healthy otherwise.She was given her first exam where she weighed out at 1 pound 3 ounces. She was aged somewhere between 6-8 weeks. I was told her teeth were healthy, she was most likely a bit underweight for her age which was understandable consider her unfortunate circumstances before we had met.She did however have a flea and tick problem. The vet gave me a dose of revolution to take home that is applied on the back of the neck. She directed me to give her another bath in order to get the remaining “flea dirt” out of her fur, and then apply the revolution flea and tick treatment as instructed once she was dry. I did as instructed.Within the next couple of hours, my new kitten, Chewy, became very lethargic and slightly disoriented. She also almost completely stopped using her litter box and would simply go where she was laying. I decided to look up some side effects of the medicine as I’m aware they are fairly potent. She seemed to have caught some of the side effects so I thought nothing of it. She went in and out of this state several times for the next day or so, which didn’t seem alarming to me.Two days after her treatment was given, in the morning, she has used the litter box and there was a notable amount of diarrhea. I cleaned her off and headed to work, planning to call VCA when they opened and have her seen.Not even a half an hour later, Chewy took her last breaths, and left us. We were shocked and heartbroken. It made no sense to us.I decided to look more into the revolution flea and tick treatment. I had learned that the lowest does was to be given to kittens with a minimum weight requirement of 2 pounds 5 ounces (over a pound more then Chewy weighed!) and at the earliest age of 8 weeks! Now a pound may not seem like a big deal maybe in a developed cat, but with a kitten with a developing immune system, this can be deadly. Unfortunately it was.I will say, when I called VCA, they were very responsive. (Offered to refund me for the care plan I had signed up for.) Until, I received a call from the director. Who was simply there to save face and throw random facts about the medicine in my face that didn’t seem to add up. He even requested that I bring Chewy in for a Necropsy so they can get to the bottom of it. I refused, knowing the place that had carelessly taken the life of my healthy kitten would probably place blame elsewhere to take the blame off of their shoulders.Shame on you VCA Animal Hospital for being so careless with our little Chewy. I hope anyone reading this reconsiders doing business with such an unprofessional and irresponsible staff. If this was a human child the doctor in question would be held far more accountable then a simple sorry, it wasn’t our fault, here’s your money back.Rest in peace, Chewy. We didn’t get to enjoy you for long, but we’ll love you forever 💕

I wish i could properly put into words what this place means to me. They have helped me greatly in my time of HIGH stress. The people at the front desk are empathetic, kind, respectful, and extremely helpful. The tech was very sweet and kind and did her job well. Made sure no stones we left unturned. And made sure we left with everything needed and no questions. Dr. Wright was AMAZING. She was so patient with me as i was trying to relay info to my husband. She went over everything and gave me all the options to consider. She made sure we looked into everything to help with my dogs situation, and i would be greatly appreciative to her for that! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who has a need for their fur babies!

I did not expect for them to offer grooming services. However, I tried them out and my dog was extremely clean and decently clipped. Not a posh clip job but a very clean and happy dog. I will definitely bring him back regularly.

Weve been taking our pets here for 10 years. They have always been kind, understanding and concerned for our pets. They have helped us to send several of our pets over the Rainbow Bridge and were so accommodating and sensitive. Today, one of our dogs got into a scrap at doggie daycare and had a gash in her leg. I called them at 515 with no appointment and they told us to come in. They looked over our girl, gave us medication and reassured us that she would be ok. It meant a lot as we were stressed out from seeing her in pain. Thank you VCA Adirondack for taking such good care of our fur babies!

Everyone was very kind and patient with our scared cat. Will definitely continue care with them.

My cat Charlie needed dental work he had some teeth pulled that had gone bad and they did a good job and the price was good

I’ve been going here for years and have never had a bad experience until today. Usually, everyone is extremely sweet and very polite and caring for my animals. Today i was extremely disappointed by how i was treated and am debating on even going back after this. All because of an assistant named Monica. She was extremely impolite and rude, as well as arrogant. I have 4 cats total who have all had great experiences here until my new baby stout. it was his first time here and he was a rescue cat who is 6 months old. first, Monica made me feel bad for not bringing him in sooner, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable and upset from the beginning. She continued making judging faces towards me throughout the entire appointment and even mumbled things under her breath while she was petting my cat. At the end of the appointment I asked if I could schedule him an appointment for being neutered and she said yes but that i needed to schedule a booster beforehand. I wasn’t sure what that was and asked if i could skip the booster and go right to the neater which she then sighed, said the booster was recommended and shamed me when K said its very expensive and that my main priority was getting him neutered. She rolled her eyes and walked out of the room. we needed yo schedule the booster and then wait wrong but with extreme judgement and uncomfortable looks. I am extremely disappointed and disturbed that the vet would let someone work there treating their patients like that.

I can not say enough about the awesome service my wife and I received for our cat Sammy! Dr. Wright and Dr. Thomas are truly amazing, including the entire staff. They all did their best to ensure our Sammy was at peace, after being diagnosed with kidney failure. Alot of other clinics would not see us, when our vet was on vacation. They made time available for us the same day I called. I truly and highly recommend the VCA Adirondack Pet Hospital of Queensbury for all your pet needs!

We have taken our animals here for many years and continue to be blown away by all the staff at Adirondack. Everyone at the front desk is incredibly compassionate, patient and thorough. The techs always do an amazing job with our animals, especially our problem ones who are not fans of going to the vet. Dr. Judge has helped guide us through some very challenging health/behavior issues throughout the years, and Dr. Moger and Dr. Thomas have always provided great care to our crew. We are so impressed by Dr. Wright and are incredibly thankful that she has joined the team.

Can not thank the staff at VCA Adk animal hospital enough! They saved my pups life. Everyone was beyond wonderful. The receptionist was compassionate and understanding of my emergency on the phone. Wonderful vet. I am a helicopter dog mom with both Shadow and Jasper, and they never make me feel like I am calling too much, asking too many questions, or anything like that. They have even allowed me to drop my dog off without an appointment and they take a look between appointments. Everyone there are truly animal lovers and take excellent care and time with each animal. I am so thankful for them!

In an emergency my beloved cat More was at end of life, they took us in ,in front of others and helped us with him, they were an enormous comfort to Mo and my wife and myself,,we are so appreciative of Adk Animal Hospital

VCA Adirondack Hospital was great- i recently switched here as was a referral from a friend. They were wonderful. They ample time with Ninja (my pup) and I and answered all my questions. They we all kind and pleasant, you could tell they really loved working with animals. I love that I got a copy of my summary emailed to me after my visit and they sent me a link/app for my phone that I easily signed up for that has all his records and such right from my phone! If I forgot when his shots are due...its right on my app... Love it! So glad I switched!! Thank you for such wonderful service ❤

The people that work at this hospital ( Anne, Grace, and Dr. Thomas others too ) are wonderful. My dog Charlotte was worrying me so much and they treated me with patience and kindness with all my questions/ phone calls etc. They understand that our pets are family members and we only want the best for them. Great place to take your pets.

I had recently brought my dog here who fractured her pelvis in a vehicle accident. Not only was the staff quick to act and friendly, but they gave me updates daily and let me schedule visit time. They were honest, and offered me options. They were always accommodating my visits even letting me stay after hours some nights. The price was amazing less than half of what I expected to pay. Great staff, wonderful care, I would recommend this place over anywhere in the area.

I transferred care of my two dogs to Adirondack. Dr. Judge has been so helpful and informative. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and polite. The technician who helped with my dog, Erin, was so kind and definitely knows what she’s doing. Hands down, I recommend this hospital over any of the others in the area!

These guys are AMAZING!A year ago I had rescued a kitten and began treatments. He had an allergic reaction! The staff not only took us with next to no questions but were quick, had all the proper medical forms for our records, and the treatment worked 1st try. I have never had this great of an experience with any other vets office and I refuse to bring my pets anywhere else! Reasonably priced and wonderful service!

I could tell they truly cared about my cat. He was due for shots but I had a concern about his health that they quickly made me understand was unfounded. The doctor and staff were extremely accommodating and put me at ease. Ill never go anywhere else.

My family has been bringing our pets here for years. My mom brings her animals. I live 45 minutes away, but bring my cat because I think this is a trustworthy vets office. They take good care of my older cat (who has a seizure problem) without adding on unnecessary tests just to make money (a problem I had with a vet when living in another area). Everyone is friendly and the office is clean. Definitely recommend them.

Received great advice from Vet Judge. My older dog had some food sensitivities, I had been giving two kinds of food, giving only one type of food has been successful. I recommend this vet!

Adirondack Animal Hospital is a fabulous place to bring your pets for their medical care. We started our puppy, Diesel, there. They take the time to answer your questions and educate you on things you didn’t know to ask!

A great place to bring your animals. Reasonable prices, however sometimes, I feel like another number to them. They are so busy that appointments are nearly impossible to get within a reasonable time frame.

I have a 10yo cat (Abby) and a 5mo kitten (Midnight). Dr Thomas treats both very well. Im interested in knowing all I can about how I can best take care of them. I try to keep my questions few and brief, and hopefully intelligent. Dr Thomas answers them pointedly. I always go home better for the experience. I hope Abby and Midnight do, too.

Weve used this facility for 22 years and we have had only one experience we didnt like. The staff is wonderful, however, theres a few new faces, so it is changing from what we use to know.

I brought my precious kitty cat in on Tuesday as an emergency walk in. Dr. Hunnicutt was assigned his case and I couldnt be more thankful for him. His care and service went above and beyond not only while Ebenezor was at his office but also after we transferred him to the emergency vet clinic. My husband and I fully believe that he saved my cats life.

My family’s animals and my own dog have always gone to Adk Animal Hospital. All there care about everyone’s animals and it shows.

We have used Adirondack Animal Hospital for 15+years as we have multiple dogs and cats in our household. Dr. Glendening has just vast experience and is a wonderful compassionate doctor. Other doctors there change every once in a while but would not hesitate to recommend any of them. Wonderful practice ++++++++

Dr. Thomas is the all time Best! My brother, KJS, swears by her magic touch with his fur babies. She has come to their rescue on many occasions and keeps them in great health. New to area & called because my dog has a bad ear infection and is acting very mushy.Was told theyre booked till the End of February. Even after I explained she needed immediate care there was COMPLETE SILENCE on her end...SMH!!!!!

I have been bringing my dogs here for 40 years. They have taken extremely great care of all of them. Which included surgeries, regular sicknesses, regular baths etc. Plus boarding. No complaints.

Never have I been to a practice that has had so many caring doctors. My family and I have been going to them for decades. From just a routine checkup to the most emotionally charged events. They embody those who understand that your pet is more than a pet but an integral part of your family. They truly became my vet of choice when Dr. Glendening went above and beyond to treat my ailing cat and make her final days with me as comfortable as possible......and for me to have a final goodbye with her in the surroundings of home.Without hesitation I highly recommend them to anyone looking a veterinarian. I know live in Saratoga NY and still travel to Queensbury for every one of my cats....and would do it even if I lived further north or south!

Without question the finest veterinary office Ive ever had the pleasure to visit. Been 25 years now. Dr. Glendenning is the finest vet I have ever encountered. New to practice is Dr. Hunnicut who is so compassionate and caring. Your in great hands here. I know, have been going there for over 25 years.

Adirondack Animal Hospital has been a God send for my rescue cats Jr. and Reen Reen. I will never take my precious animals anywhere else. The people at AAH are the best of the best. Please consider AAH for your beloved animals everybody, I cant express my thanks to the Doctors there...

I brought my cat here because he had been going to the bathroom on the floor. They said they found crystals in his urine and didnt do anything about it except tell me to feed him more wet food. 2 days later my cat wouldnt eat, wouldnt go to the bathroom, wouldnt do anything but lie in the same spot all day, clearly very uncomfortable. I brought him to the emergency animal hospital and turns out his kidneys were fully blocked and almost ruptured and I was told he was lucky to still be alive. He had to stay at the hospital for 72 hours being constantly monitored to make sure hes okay, because the incompetent doctors at the Adirondack Animal Hospital did nothing at all to help him.Not to mention a few years ago, my roommates kitten broke his leg and we brought him here to get here to get his cast changed, which cost around $300. The next day the kitten took the cast off and when I brought him back to the vet, they told me he was fine and didnt need a cast.

Dr Thomas is smart, knowledgeable and gifted, we are lucky to have a VET of her skill set in town. The staff s so kind and loving and their safety precautions during C-19 are outstanding.

Doctors and staff were great to our pets and us. Immediate response when we had an emergency. Gave health and care advice over the phone, which was a huge relief when a question needed an immediate answer.

I have been bringing my animals to this hospital for as long as I can remember. Every staff person Ihave dealt with over the years had been wonderful.They all treat you and your pet like your the only clients they have.

I took my 3 year old Pit bull here twice for pain & limping in her back legs, both times the vets took her out of the room for no more than 5 minutes then proceeded to tell me just to give her baby aspirins, she would be fine. After a month of no change I took her to another animal hospital who informed me she had in fact torn one ACL and because of the lack of care and negligence from ADK Animal Hospital tore not only her other ACL but her meniscus as well trying to make up for the first tear. If the vets at ADK Animal Hospital had given my dog the time and care she deserved we could have prevented the other tears, but thanks to their incompetence she now needs two major surgeries & months of rehabilitation. I would not recommend this place to anyone

I have used this animal hospital for 15 years. I have moved from glens falls and will still drive up the northway. All their vets are compassionate and will take the time you need whatever the issue.

Use this Vets office for both of my cats. Very friendly staff and their services are quick and effective. Had my cats nails clipped and took about 5-10 mins with no issues.

The doctors and staff are always extremely supportive. I am beyond thankful for all they do and would recommend everyone to visit their facility and trust them with your precious furry babies!

Dr. Hunnicutt is the go2 Vet 4 ANY problems w/ your pet. I highly recommend him... Im an old guy... been2 a lot of Vets in my lifetime.

Have had nothing but great experiences with AAH. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Ive been to other vets that nickel and dime you, they are very fair and transparent here.

Very welcoming from the time I walked in the door with my 10 week old white German Shepard.. first visit went great! The vet tech assistant asked a millions questions, concerns, thoughts. Took notes, came back with the Vet and sat on the floor with my pul! Examed and participated with her . Awesome visit!2 weeks later shot were due. Front desk and staff welcomed us like family again . Exam room with different vet tech support was not very involved with our puppy or explain what shots and procedures we were getting for 12 weeks exam The vet was awesome, friendly, communicating, interacting, examining. The tech didnt take part. We can all have an off day, but dont take it in the exam.

The staff here are amazing. The vets, the kennel staff, the receptionists, are all compassionate and helpful. They try really hard to make whatever care your animal needs affordable and do not push for anything unnecessary just to run up the bill. The vets are really good at what they do and understand the love people have for their pets.

I will be forever grateful to Adirondack Animal Hospital. My cat was very ill and at the end of her life, and they showed me nothing but kindness and compassion. All of the staff, the nurses, vets, and receptionists, are incredibly nice and empathetic. I will be taking my pets, and future pets here as long as I am in the area. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

I have been a customer of Adirondack Animal Hospital for well over 10 years. I couldnt be more disappointed with our most recent visit. My two kittens went for their second shots. I was charged $160, which I was told included a well check. They had just been seen for their well visit and first shots two weeks prior during which I was also charged $160. When I questioned this charge, I was told that their new policy was to conduct a well check at each vaccine visit for young kittens as they can have side effects from the shots. Not only was I not informed about this new policy, another local vet had no idea why this policy would exist. I used to love this practice and felt they truly cared about the customer. Unfortunately, as the staff has changed, I believe their focus has as well. Needless to say, we will be moving to a new veterinary clinic. So sad!
