Maximum K9 Riverhead

The patience, the kindness, the incredible knowledge of Joe and his crew, Maximum K9 is the total package. My boy Finn is the sweetest when he knows you but he has incredible fear reactivity if he doesn’t. He’s worked with Joe the most and the difference between day 1 and today is night and day. Finn’s confidence and trust with Joe has grown so much and he’s learned so much in such a short time of 6-7 training sessions. I’ve already signed him up for more because I believe in what Maximum does 100%. They are a great edition to The Hydrant’s Riverhead family.

Have been training my Beaucerons with Maximum K9 for 3 years now, and this is a great location on the east end. Their partnership with The Hydrant provides plenty of outdoor space to support obedience training and agility. Got to meet The Hydrant staff who were extremely friendly and helpful as the Maximum K9 team held a dual obedience/intro-to-agility session. Even with the weather, we couldnt have asked for a better experience- great people, great dogs, and a really welcoming facility.

Absolutely incredible experience with Maximum K9! They saved our fur-family!We had a very difficult Dane causing chaos in our four-Dane home. Upon meeting Joe, and learning the foundations of their training theory, we continued training with Nicole who was an absolute rock start with our tough Dane. We ALL learned how to better manage our pups behavior and have gained enormous confidence and techniques to start taking him out in public.We can’t thank them all enough for such a life changing experience. We thought we would have to rehome our difficult dog but have now learned how to manage him within the pack. It was such an amazing experience, we have signed up for board and train so our dog can continue his training during an upcoming trip. I recommend Maximum K9 to everyone!!

Did 6 private lessons with my boy Thaw to work on several issues we had. Enjoyed all of our sessions, and Thaw did very well. Note: This is my training too, so I know what to do when certain situations occur. If you dont put in the time to work with your dog outside of training, you will not have good results. He is much better at loose leash walking, distractions, and in general paying attention to me when I give him a command. Great working with Nicole and Mike from the hydrant.

We took level 3 and level 4 with Katie and had a great experience. We werent able to bring our pup out in public without him being very reactive to other dogs. We can now confidently take him out around people and other dogs!

I am so thankful for the training provided by Joe and his training staff. Ziti continues to benefit from personal sessions with various trainers. I have started 1hr sessions for myself & Ziti with Joe were both making progress.

We just spent the first 3 days home with our 1 year old Rotti after a 4 week training with Maximum and their amazing trainers! Nicole worked with us at the facility and at home visits which really taught us a lot! We now have our happy loving dog who finally knows how to behave and follows commands which allows us to bring her anywhere with confidence! Thank you to the hydrant for introducing us to maximum! We recently completed a training program with Nicole from Maximum K9 for our 6 month old Cane Corso who was demonstrating resource guarding. She has been absolutely incredible. Nicole thoroughly listened to our concerns, came up with individualized solutions in real time and helped us implement them into our home seamlessly. Nicole blew us away right from the start with her immense knowledge and ability to handle all situations that were presented with caring, confident professionalism. Her clear, concise and trustworthy instruction has helped us tremendously. The unwavering support from the entire team at Maximum K9 throughout the past ten weeks has truly surpassed our expectations. Nicole’s passion for dog training is like nothing we have ever seen before and I’m sure, is the reason why she has been so successful in training our puppy and countless others. I recently enrolled my 7 month old pup in a three-week board and train program with Nicole at Maximum K9, and I couldnt be more thrilled with the results. We took our dog here for training and it was amazing. Their facilities for agility and obedience work are very nice, with a large outdoor area for training. Their training has made my dogs confidence in new places grow so I can take her to breweries and restaurants and have a great time, not worrying about if she will behave or not. Their trainers are all fantastic and I couldn’t recommend them more!
