The staff is amazing. I am so insecure about leaving my dogs anywhere after an extremely bad experience in another place. The first time I boarded them here I was a nervous wreck and they were so patient with me. When I picked up the dogs they were exhausted so I know they had a good time. The latest time (3 times later) I dropped off the dogs and they ran right to the staff, they were so excited to be there. And when I picked them up, they wanted to go back in. I know they care for my dogs and I am forever grateful and will always contact them for boarding and recommend them.
I was actually really disappointed in my service at Chateau Des Paws. My dog was with them for five days, and the facilities are really nice so I was originally comfortable leaving her with them. However, when I came back, the stuff I brought there was a mess. There were disgusting dog treats that I would never give her everywhere (I included a box of her treats with her stuff), everything smelled AWFUL and a good 1/4 of her stuff was missing. She herself reeked of urine like I have never seen before and she came back sick.Upon calling them about it the next day, the person I spoke to proceeded to tell me she wasnt sick when she was there and that I was wrong. For the amount of money Chateau costs in comparison to other places, I would never go back.
This place seems good for dogs, but not for cats. The cat cages are very small. I was going to leave my 2 cats with them for 10 days, and my mom ended up taking them home to her place on the third day. Thankfully, she insisted on visiting them each day. The cats were put in a cage together, as I had requested. But it was a narrow, tall cage which was supposed to have shelves put in it so the cats can be on different levels and have plenty of room. By the third day, the shelves were still not provided and the cats were wedged into the bottom of the cage next to their litter pan and food dishes. No room to move around. I had provided the staff with typed up, written instructions on their care. I went over these instructions with the manager on the phone. She didnt voice any concerns about them. One cat needed medication administered each day. When I dropped them off, the staff acted like they were scared to give her the pill, and made acted like I was asking a lot of them. My cats are fed an organic raw meat pet food made by a company called Darwin. (Ive never had such healthy cats, and their poop never smells!) The food comes to us frozen in individual packets that have to be thawed out before feeding. The manager told me it would be no problem for the staff to thaw the food, then put in the refrigerator (in a plastic container I provided) to stay fresh while it was portioned out through out the day. On the third day, my mom found the cats in the cage, still wedged together, with an entire frozen block of chop meat left in their food dish. Which means the staff was leaving more meat than they could eat in one day in the cage with them, so my cats would be sitting next to spoiling meat all day. Unacceptable. Thats when my mom took them home. Wish I didnt have to leave a star to post this.In reply to the managers reply - It was Bernadette that I spoke with by phone and met when I dropped off the cats. The quiet cat section is right next to the large, very noisy dog section, and the door between does not keep that noise out. The cats do get lots of light, because each of their tiny cages that are built into the wall have a frosted glass window. Again, good place for dogs, but not for cats.
They take great care of my dog! They gave me a tour the first time I went there, I like their setup. Convenient & affordable, and its attached to the hospital so there are people nearby 24 hours a day.
When we arrived, they were not prepared for us. They were nice, but unprofessional. I left them with written instructions for my dogs meds and he was not given his meds once in three days. When I picked him up at 8:15am he had not been fed or gone outside to use the bathroom. He was miserably upset and it was obvious he hadnt been out in over 12 hours. He also was ravenous which indicates he wasnt fed on a proper schedule. I found this experience to be extremely distressing, especially for a dog with allergies.
Have been using the place for years. Staff is great with my dog Haylee. She runs into the place when we drop her off.
Been using them for years with no issues. They also have a 24 hour vet attached
Nice shop. However I didnt like that the scale to weigh treats was hidden from the customers view?!
Very kind and caring. Easy to reach.
Clean and friendly
