Andersen Dog Park

My dog loves going to this dog park. Unfortunately not many small dogs show up when it gets cold. She does enjoy watching the big dogs though and escorts them (on the other side of the fence) in an out.

Great dog park...2 fenced areas and a nice trail to walk if thats your preference.

I am rating this park based on one visit. There is water, garbage cans, bags as well as two nice sized fenced in yards for both large and small dogs. Both of these areas are separated by a gated fenced in hallway. We have a small new puppy who at home is an escape artist. Both the entrance to the gated hallway and the entrance to the small dog area have a big enough gap under each gate that once this 7 pound puppy discovers it she could end up running out in the street. I wonder if it has ever happened? Even if it has not it deserves a negative star based on just the anxiety of feeling your dog could get out. If my dog got out the rating would be as low as it would allowThe one time we went an older man who couldnt walk without assistance and with a large active young dog parked his vehicle and let his dog run off leash to the fenced in area. I learned he was a regular that others knew and opened the gates for. If they really want to help him, other members and other dogs maybe they could walk to his car and take his dog on leash to the larger dog area? I was glad that I was not trying to get my two small leashed dogs back to the car when this transpired. The walk to the car is a bit long to feel you and your dogs are in a safe zone. Those that regularly attend the park also can contribute to the experience especially if they are supportive to irresponsible dog behavior. I would do a test run before going through the hassle of getting a pass.I would use this park if the two issues I mentioned are addressed one of which might settle itself naturally if my puppy gets too big to fit under the gates and the remaining issue I can solve by leashing that large dog and guilding it into the large dog area myself.We may be back someday but would like to try the one in Scotia.

Great place to bring your dog! Lots of space for dogs and two different play areas; one for large dogs and one for small. And if the dog park isn’t your thing, the walking trails next to it are also great!

Its a great sized park. Small and Large dog sides. Lots of parking space. Not all that busy which is great. Im not a fan of how far the water fountain is for the pups. Wish it was closer to the fenced in area.

Very nice place. Lovely hiking trails. Amenities are great. Good, clean drinking water and doggy pit stop supplies. I only saw one dog pile not cleaned up.

Wonderful dog park with local regulars who genuinely care for every dogs safety and happiness while theyre there. Has two sides, one for larger dogs, one for smaller dogs. Busiest times are Mon-Fri from about 5:30-8:30pm, and typically pretty calm any other time even on weekends. Overall a wonderful place to bring your pup!

Great local dog park thats just right down the road from our house. I like that theres a big dog side and a little dog side. I think there might be some trails in the woods around the park, but havent ventured there myself yet. Its pretty clean for an off leash park, but you do see an occasional dog poop here and there that someone forgot (hopefully they didnt neglect to pick up). Theres a dog waste station along w doggy bags. Really convenient park, our little guys love it there.

This was a very clean and complimentary dog park. With fresh water and dishes. Fecal bags with proper trash cans. Nice open and well gated areas. There are a couple of opening on the fence but otherwise an excellent park.

Very nice. It has two areas. One for large dogs and one for small dogs. There are nice water fountains that have a bowl for the dogs to drink and a hose to was them off.Nice benches for sitting.

This is a great town dog park, My pup loves coming here

Its a dog park. I dont have a dog. If I did I guess I would take it there. Looks nice and clean & well kept. UPDATE 08/2019 Now I have a dog. Been to this park a few times. Met some nice dogs (people too). Need a permit from the town, but it is easy to obtain if you have the proper licenses and paper work.

Great place to let your dogs play! Conveniently located and plenty of parking! A great trail to hike just north of the park, check it out!

Beautiful dog park, people there are respectful and polite. Its a nice community and all sized dogs are welcome there. I bring my friends bulldog there to exercise and play with the other dogs.

Excellent dog park. Space for big dogs and small. There is a paved parking lot, dog water fountain and friendly visitors. Tags from the town of Glenville are required and need to be renewed every January 1st.

Love everything about the park. I do feel some are inconsiderate with their dogs who are aggressive and dont take the proper steps to socialize.

I love this dog park and so does my dog. We needed this in our area. Thank you so much Mr Anderson! I just grabbed dinner and ate on the bench there while my dog ran around and had a blast sniffing everything in sight.

Its hard to rate this park. Each visit is different. Sometimes there are owners and dogs that are polite and safe. Other times there can be aggressive dogs that no one is managing.

It was very nice & even had some toys there for you dog to play with if they want only thing is I saw on the rules must have rabies & dog park tags & I have rabies tag on my dog but dont know how you get a dog park tag maybe threw town

Great space. Lots of grass. Seemed that dog owners mostly cleaned up after their dogs, could do better with this but we enjoyed ourselves.

Great place to bring the family for a picnic. Met an acquaintance I havent seen in a while and children were allowed to pet dog.

Unfortunately you have to have a tag and be a resident but its well kept and quite. Nice area for my puppy to play off leash

Good place to bring your dogs. Very strict with the rules though, so make sure you abide by them.

We went to use the trail behind the dog park that goes through the woods to Indian Meadows park. It was a really nicely groomed trail for skiing and snowshoeing.

Love the dogs and owners. Very clean. Darla is great. She is the dog officer for the area. Maggie loves the park.

Great dog park. What a generous gift Mr. Anderson donated in honor of his wife! My dogs and I love and appreciate it.

People arent always picking up after their dogs. Love the little agility equipment setup.

Bot a bad park but was locked. Many people there to use the park but could not get in. Poor management.

What a great park! Clean and well kept. Ample supply of bags for those who forgot them. The only issue was that there were so many dogs/owners that there was almost no place to park.
