Fantastic training facility with a large array of classes. I have had my pup in nosework for some time and the instructor, Kathy, is phenomenal. She is incredibly patient and advocates for the dog while training as much as she teaches the owner.

I had a horrible experience here. I brought my corgi for a small group class. My dog got along fine with other dogs before this. She was placed next to a dog that was very reactive and kept trying to get into her space. Because my dog was so overwhelmed I couldnt get my dog to pay attention to me let alone try to teach her anything. All she wanted to do was hide. The instructor told us to go to the back of the room and just wait there. Each time we came to class, my dog was so afraid that she was shaking. And each time, we were just told to sit at the back of the room and watch the rest of the group. My dog has now gotten worse around other dogs, this traumatized her.

We miss you, so glad the club is opened again. My husband and I have been been students at the Port Chester Obedience Training Clubfor the past 5 years. We have taken everything from puppy class to advanced courses in competitive K9 sports. Teachers are wonderful. Fellow students are great. The club is clean and never smells like dog.We have done well with our dog and her training at Port Chester Obedience Training Club. Just look at our little girl and what she has been able to accomplish in only 2 years of training.

I have been training at PCOTC for several years now and have really enjoyed my experience there. The trainers I have worked with in agility are extremely knowledgeable and have really helped me build my connection and relationship with my dog. Im grateful for a great local club that allows me to continue to grow in the sport, and for the opportunity Ive had to work with different styles of trainers. I also have really enjoyed the half-day seminars there! Definitely check out this club!!

I signed my puppy up for basic puppy classes earlier this year. I definitely regret that 100%. I have plenty of dog experience and can train my puppy myself but the exposure to puppies is what my baby needed so we were recommended this place. it was decently priced. I think if you have absolutely no idea what youre doing this place is fine but when we did go to classes we were mostly on our own because my puppy picked up things faster than others. instead of giving us other things to work on the trainer just kind of let us do whatever we wanted so I started making up new things to teach my puppy. which I feel is a little odd because Im paying for the trainers course if I wanted to make my own I wouldnt have paid 200+ dollars on it. there was a fearful reactive puppy in the group which didnt get much one on one time(which i thought was odd considering it wasnt functioning well in the puppy class setting). it also lunged at my puppy several times with its hackles up and growling and the trainer made absolutely no attempt to work with that behavior. later on she put that puppy with mine in a play group and my puppy looked EXTREMELY uncomfortable as the other one loomed over her with very stiff body language. this was not cute and not positive and should not have been allowed. I did not feel comfortable taking my puppies leash off in the case I needed to pull her away from a possible dangerous situation. I have dealt with body language and dog fights and dog playgroups professionally for 2 years and this is NOT how to introduce dogs nor is it proper playful behavior. the trainer emphasized how i should not intervene should not pull my uncomfortable dog away from the undersocialized fearful dog. so my dog was forced to go through with that interaction. there were other dogs pressed up against the wall shaking with fear due to the overwhelming situation and this not nice puppy!!!!!!!! i just dont understand how this was not an issue because it wasnt even just my dog!!!!!!! ANYWAY after that session the training sessions were canceled due to COVID19 and we were supposed to receive weekly emails so we know what to work on with our puppies. I got one. after that I received absolutely nothing. I tried reaching out to the trainer with no response. at this point I just wanted a refund. they are volunteer based as far as i know which is lovely to do, however it took MONTHS to get my refund. it is so hard to get in contact with these people. they gave us a hard time, i did not have a good experience with the actual training, my puppy left terrified of the other puppies that clearly needed some different training... like I dont have anything good to say? I think if you dont know anything about dog body language and are going into it blind then maybe itll be fine? but personally I will never recommend this place and I will never bring any of my dogs there again.

Both of my dogs have attended Port Chester Obedience Training Club in White Plains, NY, and both have benefited wonderfully from the highly experienced and qualified teachers. From the first rate puppy training with Misa - who prepares your young dog well for future experiences, to Bronagh - who works so tactfully with hesitant dogs, to Stephanie and Steve - one mind dog trainers extraordinaire, there is something that every dog and handler can learn. I cannot recommend PCOTC enough.

I am so happy to have found this club. I started classes here with my new Puppy and she has grown and developed ever since. They have a variety of classes they offer and the location is convenient to all in Westchester and The Bronx. Im looking to become a member so plan to stay with them for the long run.

I have tried instructors, classes and dog training clubs all over Rockland County and North Bergen County for the over 25 years I have owned dogs here. PCOTC has the largest variety of courses with instructors who are actively involved in their discipline. I have not yet experienced any course where instructors were teaching by rote, and some who have helped motivate me to get to a level of competition I would never have imagined.

I have tried to reach out to this place multiple times to get started with classes. I have emailed and called and no response. I understand taking a few days to respond. But over a month is very ridiculous. Terrible customer service and will inquire elsewhere.
