I’m so glad I found Chelita’s Grooming! Norma made me feel at ease from our first conversation. She works with one pup at a time, doesn’t use crates, and kept me updated with pictures and videos. My little guy even got a cute Christmas tie! The whole experience was stress-free and amazing—highly recommend!

First time coming here! Im in love, My Mason looks so adorable. You can tell Norma really took her time and had a lot of patience because Mason was very scruffy before. Also kept his beautiful tail. Im so glad I found my new groomers. Will definitely be back.

My boyfriend and I found Norma on Reddit after recently moving to the area. He took our 5 year old rescue, Willie, to Norma for grooming, and she did an incredible job! Willie came out looking sharp and well-trimmed, with his coat perfectly styled and soft to the touch. Norma was patient and gentle, making sure he felt comfortable and relaxed throughout the grooming process. She clearly has a knack for handling pets with care, and her attention to detail is impressive. I especially appreciated how she took the time to ask about specific preferences for Willie’s cut and then delivered exactly what we wanted. We’re lucky to have found such a dedicated and talented groomer—thank you, Norma!

This was our puppy’s first experience getting groomed. He was in very good hands with Norma. She made him feel safe (even though he has separation anxiety) and he came out even cuter than when he went in (which we didn’t think was even possible)! Norma pays attention to detail, has a great eye for what will look good, and a gentle touch. She also explained all of the hair lengths and styles to us and helped us choose what would work best for our puppy. He also smells great. Thank you!!

I’m hesitant to leave a review not because Norma is not absolutely amazing with my rescue Benito a 6 year Maltese who is afraid of everything and everyone but because she might get so busy that we wouldn’t be able to in. But I need to share Norma because she is not only a talented groomer she was a perfect find for my new dog. I needed to find a groomer that would work with his anxiety not have him in a cage with other dogs barking. I needed to know he would feel safe and taken care of and Norma was all that and more. I can only describe her place as a spa for dogs. From the zen music to the calming scents to her calm demeanor, I knew immediately when I walked in that I was at the right place. She focuses on one dog at a time with no stress to the dog. Benito never shakes when I leave her with her which is him telling me mom I’m ok. Not to mention she has great grooming Technique!! The pictures talk for themselves!

Chelitas Grooming in White Plains is fantastic! She did an amazing job with my German Shepherd his coat looks so shiny, and even his nails were trimmed perfectly. You can tell she really cares about the dogs. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The absolute best service! Norma really takes great care of our baby, and provide help tips for us as dog moms! Theo always look even more handsome once she’s finished with him and even happier than when he comes in. His cut lasts for at least 1.5 months and is the perfect length! I can tell she enjoys what she does and cares for him while in her care!

It was my pups first time getting groomed and Norma was very patient and sweet with him. Her grooming studio is at the back end of a residential home but it has everything. Norma was absolutely amazing! Nunzio had never been to a groomer before and she did such a good job on my little puppy. I really appreciate how she took the time to explain to us everything she was going to do so that we knew what would be going on. His nails are beautifully trimmed and no longer sharp little puppy claws, his ears have never been cleaner, his haircut is so cute, and he smells SO GOOD! I couldn’t be happier with the service and can’t wait to continue seeing Norma for all of Nunzio’s grooming needs.

I have a dog I am fostering that is extremely skittish. He doesn’t like to be groomed and I was afraid he’d be turned away because of his reactive behavior, but Norma managed to get him back on track even grooming his face! She is patient and transparent. Her business offers a relaxing environment for the most anxious dog and it’s no doubt she loves what she does. Highly recommend.

Norma is very detail-oriented person and attends to every aspect of grooming. I have a a 75 lb Bernedoodle, Luna, that is groomed every 5 weeks. She isn’t very patient with photos and her muzzle is all askew from our walk but you can see how beautifully groomed she is in these pics!

Norma is fantastic!!! My baby does not like being groomed and was rejected by his previous groomer. We found Norma, who is a God sent. She was calm, patient and my baby loves the one on one attention. He is not being shuffled around from one hand to another like the other place. She has instructed me on what I can do at home to better help her while he is with her and it’s working out. My dog is usually a very reactive dog and can aggressive to people. Norma was very good with him and gained his trust. She was able to do everything, while other groomers couldn’t because he was too reactive. I highly recommend her for grooming. My dog looked and smelled great

We brought Lola to Norma a week after we adopted her. She had some bad mats and knots that we couldnt get out. Norma took her time and explained her process and how everything would go and the end result exceeded expectations. Not only were all the mats and knots gone, she was completely relaxed as well.What sets Norma and Chelitas grooming a part from other groomers is its one dog at a time. She renovated her garage and converted it into a grooming command center. I hate when my dog has to sit in a crate or is locked up for hours. When you drop your dog off, Norma goes right to work and you get a call or text when they are ready. There is also spa music playing and she likes you to hand the dog to her to establish comfort right away. Its truly unlike anything Ive seen before.Price wise she is very competitive and takes both cash or Venmo. All in all its a fantastic experience and we highly recommend working with her!

We had let our dogs nails get a little too long which can make it a challenge to cut, but Norma is a true professional and took great care and caution in handling his nails. After our groomer moved west it was tough since we had been going to her for over 10 years. The time came to find a new groomer for our baby and I googled groomers and found Chelitas thats not too far from home. Wasnt sure what to expect even after reading the great reviews. However, we went for the first grooming and I was happy but waited until the second grooming to provide a review. Nice job again and shes asks questions about what I would like, which honestly is difficult as with the prior groomer all I did was drop him and he was perfect when I picked him up. Now I had to think but Chelitas grooming was able to understand what I wanted (not too short, keep tail long, be careful with products as he has allergies, etc.)and I took a chance. The chance went well and all was fine. Thanks for the questions, getting to know my babys medical condition and more important making him look great.

Norma did our baby Talia’s grooming today and we could not be more happy. She looks beautiful. When we lived in Florida groomers always had trouble Crushed trimming her nails. Norma was so gentle and supportive that Tyler just sat still, and let Norma trim her nails. This has never happened before. Normal definitely be our “go to” groomer in the future.

I was new to area, my dog has separation anxiety so it was important to find the right groomer. Norma is great, I drop off my dog and she gets groomed, and Norma calls when she done, no four hours in a cage with barking dogs all around. She also helped me with a tick my dog had on her cheek. She cares about the dogs she grooms, highly recommended

Norma is so sweet and friendly. She cares about her clients and the service she provides them. I have an American Eskimo dog and it’s not an easy breed to groom because of their heavy two layer coat. Chelita was so good with my pure breed Shih Tzu, Toby. She groomed him just like my husband and I like it! I was for years trying to find a groomer that would do my Toby like his first groomer(she left) use to do it. Both my pups look like rockstars after their groom. She was able to fit us in at the last minute and they were even done early. They look like perfect angels, were not scared or nervous at all afterwards, smell divine, and even got accessories of a bow and a tie! I would absolutely recommend to friends and family, especially the ones with anxious dogs. Norma really took the time to cut my dogs hair. My dog is not the easiest to work with, we have gone to several groomers and most were not able to get anywhere near her face or paws. Norma explained every step of the process and kept me posted on my dogs behavior. I am in love with the results and will definitely be coming back.

Norma did an AMAZING job with our baby. I can tell not only was she treated with care, the groom she got was literally perfect - exactly what we wanted.Charli desperately needed a bath and cut, and Norma gave her the pampering she deserves. She gets a little fussy at the groomers, but I believe Norma did everything she could to make my pup feel comfy.I will say the groom was on the pricier side - it’s the most I’ve ever spent on grooming but Charli looks and feels better than ever, so I think it was worth it. May not be able to afford this for her regular grooming but definetly would love to have her groomed by Norma on special occasions 💞EDIT: Norm is awesome! After seeing this review, she let me know that we can work together on the price and she would love to see Charli again. I will update this review after Charli’s next grooming.
