Brody has been coming to Jay now for over 9+ years now and get the best haircuts. Ive always feel confident and comfortable with the service he gets here, never any bad haircuts or incidents with my pooch. I would definitely feel comfortable leaving my pet with him for attentive, compassionate care and great cuts.

The groomer was so professional and polite. You really get what you pay for here. We took our husky here and she came back cleaner than I have ever seen her. She looks like a new dog. The groomer took the time to explain some tips to maintain her coat as well as additional training tips. He did a truly amazing job and took extra time out of his day to give great service. We will definitely be returning.

Amazing groomer!! My dog always leaves happy and looking like a million bucks. The owner takes such great care of the dogs and clearly has a deep love for them. I recommend doggy street grooming to anyone looking for a reliable and ethical dog groomer. He always looks for up to date vaccinations too. 10/10!!PS: If your dog has a problem of getting poop stuck in the fur on their butt just tell the owner. He will cut it perfectly so that stops happening

Been coming here since 5+ years ago. I highly recommend this place. The groomer (owner) has lots of knowledge in dogs and also provides excellent care for my dog. My dog is a sensitive dog, but after changing to this grooming shop, he is no longer sensitive after grooming. I also love the fact that this place doesn’t overbook any appointments, 1 dog at a time. So your dog never have to wait in a crate for a long time for their turn which can be extremely stressful. Once you go, you will see what I mean! :)

I brought my puppy here two times and both times, my pup came out so much better than when she went in! I had a hard time seeing which groomer to trust my puppy with and I can proudly say, this groomer is it for us. He is not only a great groomer, he also takes the time to give any advice/tips to better take care of my pup. Most groomers give the dogs a sedative or something to keep it calm, however here they do not do that. Jay had so much patience for Nyla and still made both groomings amazing. Highly recommend!

Can’t say enough words to describe the joy I feel every time I pick up my dog from the groomer. The attention I and my dog receive is incomparable. Love the friendliness of the groomer and the outstanding quality of services he provides. Added bonus, you get a nice Polaroid of your dogs last groom session each time you visit. Best groomer in Queens for sure.

Ive been going to Jay for years because hes the only groomer Ive found who could groom my aggressive dog without him having to be sedated. I dont know how he does it but I will travel all the way from Brooklyn to Queens just to have my dog groomed at Doggy Street.

I lived in the neighborhood for a couple of years and I stopped by a few times to check it out but I never needed their service until couple weeks ago. I had a trip coming up and bought my Maltese there to groom for the first time because my groomer wasnt available. Grooming went very well and I was happy with the service. Then, I needed to board him (for the very first time ever) for a weekend at the last minute. The staff is very friendly and accommodating to last minute appointment and special requests. The place is tidy and clean. I felt comfortable leaving my baby there. I even emailed the staff during my trip to make sure my baby is adjusting OK in their care since that was his first boarding experience, and they were nice enough to email me back promptly to assure me he was doing well (eating, pooping and playing). The facility is also a doggy day-care so my baby was not in the cage all day and was able to run about and play with other fur babies. I will go there to groom from now on and will definite feel comfortable boarding my baby there when I need it again. Its so nice to have such a great place in the neighborhood! Did I mention the price is very reasonable too!

Had the best experience, Jay was knowledgeable & explained everything in detail, he asked questions and informed us on many things, pricing was great you even get a %10 discount if its your first time there, this was the first time taking my 9 month old puppy to the groomers and overall Im extremely satisfied, my puppy came out happier than ever and super playful I will definitely bring my puppy here again!

It doesnt get any more professional than Jay. He is fabulous. He writes and keeps notes each and every time he sees Skippy. I have finally found someone whom I trust 100% to do a bang up job on my dog. I would recommend this place to everyone. I would drive an hour to see this place. I actually reside in Forest Hills and this location is not close or convenient but Jay is worth the time and trouble to take my dog to.

Very disappointing experience, after having been a loyal customer for years.I just called to make an appointment to get my dog groomed and was told I was not allowed to because my dog was ‘too old, and getting groomed stressed her out.’I asked for clarification, since I had been bringing my miniature schnauzer to Doggy Street for the last five years and have always loved how they treated her. I have spent the last five years recommending this place to any one who lived in the area.My dog has never liked getting bathed, but has never been aggressive about it and I was never told on any previous visits that there was an issue. I know this because I always asked if there were issues whenever I picked her up, and was always told besides being a bit grumpy about being washed, and some stress on her end, she was well behaved.The man on the phone refused to give me an appointment and when I asked what to do, or if he knew a place that wouldn’t turn down a senior dog, he told me that he didn’t know and that it wasn’t his problem.I am aware that my dog does not love getting groomed, but she needs to be since her hair grows constantly. Not getting her groomed isn’t an option. Overall, I’m very upset and disappointed by the whole experience.EDITED TO ADD: I just read some one-star reviews of this place on Yelp, and apparently this isn’t the first time this place has refused to book a senior dog.The man on the phone kept citing my dog’s stress and age, since she is fifteen. But she was just at the vet in May, had a full check up, and was given a clean bill of health by the vet, which I told Doggy Street. It just sounds like they, as a business, have decided to be biased against senior dogs. Disgusting business practice.

Been taking my dog to Doggy Street Dog Grooming for years. Jay is the best there is in NY! Wouldnt trust anyone more with my dog, he does such an amazing job.

I Love this place. Jay is absolutely wonderful with animals. We take our 4 year old doggy here for Grooming and he never hesitates and just walks right in with Jay. And in usually 1-2 hours we get a call that he is almost done in 10 minutes..I dont know what kind of conditioner Jay uses but it smells AMAZING !!! The quality of work here far exceeds anything I have seen before. The prices are the same as the big name pet stores so why not bring your dog here and have Jay work his magic. I am Hooked !

I brought my dog here for grooming last year. I was very pleased with the cut and bath. A year later, I remembered they offered doggy day care and I was going away. I had never done doggy day care before so I tried the free day of doggy day care and I was so happy to come back and see that my dog was happy to play with the other dogs and they took good care of him. I left for a week and stayed up to date watching videos of him on their Facebook page. Ive never been so relieved leaving him with someone. They are great here. My dog hasnt been happier. I will be coming back here again and again.

Warm, friendly staff who always do an excellent job. Grooming is usually finished within 2 hours of my dropping my Havanese off and Jay always takes a sweet Polaroid of his clientele for the wall at the conclusion of each visit. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an excellent groomer in the Bayside area.

Amazing place, highly recommend it. Never had any issues what so ever and have been bringing my dogs here for more than 2 years. Best part, quality with speed! Usually an hour and a half/2 hours max. Compared to the last place we use to go to on Francis Lewis (POS front desk that steals money) which would take over 8 hours!!

We have gone several times now, all cuts were quality, and we got it to our exact liking. Jay understands how to cut it the way you like it. A bit pricey, but compared to Petco, petsmart, etc, YOU CAN SEE WHY.DOGGY STREET GROOMING IS THE WAY TO GO.

Doggy Street has always groomed Dexter perfectly. This time, from the minute I picked Dexter up, for 1 week, he was running in circles, tring to get to his butt. He was also crying. Obviously, Jay drained his anal sac, and really hurt him. In the past, Dexters butt was tender for 1 or 2 days. Even though he is a good groomer, I will never bring Dexter back to him. My vet said never let a groomer perform this procedure. Only let his vet do it. I definitely will comply!!!Jeff

I was a customer at the Doggy street place for approximately 6- 7 years. Last time my pomaranian got cut on his body & a cotton ball was left in his ear. I was surprised and upset. I decided to speak to the owner-groomer in person about this. He had a lot to say, mostly incoherent excuses. None of them included a simple i am sorry. This would have been sufficient enough. Instead, about 30 days later when i called in to make our next appointment ( after all, 7 years..i though deserved forgiveness & another chance) he mumbled for a while..and then finally- oh no- still no i am sorry- but i heard that he didnt want to offer services to us any more?! Lol. Self- punishment or just arrogance and disrespect to a long term client!? Definitely, doesnt deserve a good review or our business!

Jay is very personable and professional. Hes carefully groomed our Westie for many years now. Shes happy, soft and cuddly each time.

Our little fluffball goes in like a raggedy old man and comes out looking like a puppy. They call 30 minutes ahead of when youre done so you know when you should head back. We really like this place.

He did an excellent job with my dog. I have a Yorkie and I hate to admit it, but she was matted like crazy. Ill blame my kids. Yes my kids didnt brush her enough! Anyway, he told us how he would trim her and the results aligned with our expectations. We went to Petsmart and Petco before to get her groomed and they dont compare. More expensive and inferior work. Im going here going forward. Highly recommend.
