Kingston Point Dog Park

Shady, which is more comfortable in some ways, but muddy and mosquito-y. No dogs this trip. Theres a short walk to the river and the dog likes to go in partway.

Great place to let your dog run around off leash and play with other dogs.

Nice people and dogs here every time weve come. Neat and clean area to let our puppy burn some energy.

Went with my friends puppy and she loved the small dog area!

Poorly maintained, bare dirt which is supposed to be grass. Relatively small. Shame because it seems to serve alot of dogs. There is parking.

Another mediocre dog park…….. municipalities think that putting up a fence is all they need to do for a dog park. How about some decent seating areas, some shade, and some water. How about more than a muddy field? So sad, could be so much more……..

2 large fence-caged running areas to run, train and allow your four-legged friends to interact with other dogs. Simple.This dog park is lacking what I am familiar with — the ladders, platforms, jumping hoops, tunnels.

Nice people and dogs, a lot of room for them to run and shade from the sun. separate areas for large and small dogs and a lot of trails around the outside of the park if your pup isnt very social.one star removed for lack of running water reliably near the park. make sure to bring some h20 for your pooch and bring enough to share!

Great Park for the dogs and their people. There are double gate entries, a small dog area and a large dog one. There are plenty of trash cans and a few dog waste bag stands if you forgot to bring your own. Theres shady areas and large open sections for running. Today the people were very friendly and their dogs were not at all aggressive or misbehaved. It was a great time for dog and I both.

This was a very generously sized dog park with two completely separate and non-touching sections for big and small dogs, which was good for our dog who cant be around other dogs at all. It has plenty of benches and toys. Just note that in rainy weather it is quite muddy. The park complex has a lot of parking and you can also see the river and the beach from the dog park. I recommend this park especially for big or antisocial dogs

My favorite dog park! Wonderful group of dogs and humans. Can get muddy. Lots of balls/toys for the dogs to play with (so you dont need to bring your own and then worry about losing it). Beautiful walk/views surrounding the park.

It has its pros and cons. I like that it has 2 areas - a Littles area & a Big Pup area. The area where the older, larger dogs go can be intimidating @ times bc some people bring in their dogs either not knowing or dont care that their dog(s) arent tolerant of other dogs, either at all or in those types of grouped situations. It makes it dangerous for the dogs already in their and their humans. Its good for the most part, but the last 3xs Ive been there over the last 2wks their have been some close, uncomfortable encounters that totally couldve been avoided had the owners respected their dogs boundaries and not bring them into that type of setting. They not only put their own dog @ risk, but also risked them hurting someone elses animal like I saw happen. Not Cool!

I was actually very surprised and really impressed. I just moved back to area after 6 years out of state and was super surprised when I saw that Kingston actually did something awesome for its residents with all the space that is out here. The dogs that go there are cool, and their owners are alright(alotnof city people non weekend) but I go there for the dogs not the people ;)

Absolutely Beautiful Please to visit with soooooo many gorgeous views of the Hudson River and The Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge!!! You also get a spectacular view of Overlook Mountain with the old TV Broadcasting Towers once used for WTZA now WRNN. Awesome place!!!

I use to give this dog park a bigger rating but ever time I wen they ran out of bags to clean up after your dogs.Also, I wish they had running water and maybe make shades for the people.Another down side is that owners are not sure of their dogs. You need to be comfortable With your dog before bringing it to a dog park especially when you when there are days that it is busy. Great place to bring your dog! You may need to check it out a few times to determine the best day & time to bring your dog - can get pretty crowded!

A dog attacked my dog today there and the owner said sorry she isnt use to being around other dogs. Ok then leave. When she did leave she left a bunch of cigarette butts on the ground and an empty cigarette pack. Her kids were literally climbing the fence and chasing the dogs. Not a good day

I have taken my Shih Tzu to many dog parks in the US. Not much to this one here om Kingston where we live. No doggie water fountains or much to it. Would be great of it were revamped and or upgraded.

My dog loves it. He jumps all over the other dog owners and runs all around free and plays with other dogs. Its great for him and me too.

Beautiful spot off Hudson river, large fenced area for large dogs, with benches for the people. Alas no water for dogs to drink so bring your own

Family day was great 2022

In a nice area and great that they have a small dog and big dog area, but the small dog area had several holes in the fence that my dog could get out from. Also, no water.

Water access near heritage energy storage facility had entire rock beach covered in spots looked like alge but on closer inspection was like dried chemical stain

We love this park. Buddy loves playing with his doggy friends and we talk with some super lovely pet owners

Have had no problems with dogs or their owners. The dog owners we have met are all very nice caring people welcoming our Luna ❤

I bring my dog here everyday to get exercise and to socialize with other dogs. My dog loves this place.

Nice clean open space. Two enclosures, one for smaller dogs and one for bigger dogs.

I feel like Kingston could have spent just a bit more on this and it could be much nicer... The forest area directly next to this dog park produces an incredible amount of mosquitos that are thirsty for you when you arrive. I like that theres a separate area for larger dogs, but, a little landscaping and some extra attention to detail could really help the experience here

They dont fill in the holes, nor do they keep up the maintenance. Thats our mayor, he doesnt care.
