Petco Grooming

Absolutely love Michelle B at Petco in Kingston. Michelle has taken care of our pocket beagle Addison’s nails for 3 years, we are heartbroken to hear this news of her leaving.It’s also sad to hear that most of the grooming services will be ending due to lack of workers. Perhaps if dog owners realized they should be tipping the workers for caring for their dog. We tip regularly a dog can be difficult and unpredictable at times so we need to make sure we are keeping the groomers well paid. Minimum wage is not enough.

Booking is easy, you can do so from their app and their website. Im always satisfied with how Ivette does my pups haircut and grooming. My dog always come out smelling super nice and looking clean, fresh and cute!! Next time you need your dog to be groomed, go to Ivette!

Max always does a great job grooming our black lab Seamus. Bath , nails trimmed and a little bit of fur trim work. He always comes out happy and handsome. Max is very good with him.

I have no complaint about the groomer - she was fine.My complaint, at least in my local Petco in Kingston, NY, that no one seems to care about, is that Its almost impossible to make an appointment for grooming.- If you call the grooming number, the only option is to leave a voicemail, and there are times when there is no call-back. (Keep in mind that someone calling is likely to be trying to plan their day, so the delay is annoying - and not being called back is even worse!)- If you call the main number, its answered by the cashier who isnt able to help.- Booking online is an option except that: 1) The link didnt work when I tried it, and 2) Theres no option for the particular services I needed for my dog - nail clipping and toothbrushing.This has happened to me too many times. Its obvious you folks dont care enough, and there are plenty of other places that offer the same service - so i most likely will NOT be using this service in the future.On a side note, I generally purchase dog/cat food and other supplies when Im there for grooming. However, I just discovered that I can buy most of the same stuff at comparable prices from Amazon - so now I really dont see a reason to put up with your lack of customer service!

We were booked for a noon appointment at grooming. When we arrived - on time - the groomers were working on a number of dogs already. We were told that our groomer was working on 4 dogs already. We didnt get back home until after 5 pm.

Terrible customer service. I waited for weeks for my dogs grooming appointment and when I arrived it was cancelled because I was 20 min late. They couldn’t even answer the phone after I tried calling MULTIPLE times to confirm when I saw I was running late. Absolutely zero compassion for a mom trying to get out of the house with a baby and a dog. If you’re a parent, you know things never go perfectly according to plan; but they clearly don’t care at Petco. I can’t speak on their grooming abilities, but I won’t be taking my dog here due to a complete lack of respect.

The young girl who took care of our puppy was so kind and took her time - we love her. Our dog had been sick and we were unable to brush her coat every day so she had a lot of knots. The groomer was understanding and we ended up with the cutest hair cut ever. She was wonderful - a great asset to your company!

If I could give zero stars I would. The groomer completely butchered my dog’s hair — even went down to his skin in some areas. My husband showed them a photo of how we want the length and asked them not too cut it too short. I brush my dog every other day and he did not have any mats so there is absolutely no reason why they should have shaved him. They also did not pluck his ears properly. They instead cut it which is exactly not what you’re supposed to do. I am extremely dissatisfied and wondering how they could have done such a terrible job.

We have seen 2 different groomers, Michelle and Aaron, and both of them are fantastic with our dog Ollie. They are always friendly, professional, and gentle with Ollie. The past 2 visits Ollie needed to be picked up like a baby ( 🤣) to go into the salon and Aaron was great with him. You get the sense that the groomers enjoy what they do and love the fur babies!

Max... I just cant say enough good things about Max. My dog, Bentley can be a bit of a damsel in distress but Max is always so patient and professional. Ill never go back to Petsmart again ... Better yet, the petsmart grooming staff could use some training from Max.

Yvette does and great job, listens carefully and really understands my two very different dogs. She is on time and professional.

Michele at your Kingston salon is exceptional! Her professionalism and compassion are over the top! She takes such good care of my dog that she would stay there at the store with Michele if she could. you do need to hire someone to give your groomers a hand though. I dont like the fact they have to stop cutting my dogs hair every time the phone rings or a walk-up customer comes in. There should be someone there to answer phones and maybe bath the dogs. Let your very talented groomers take care of the grooming. Also, you eed to take into consideration that Your staff will eventually need time off for illness, vacations, family obligations. Currently, you do not have any relief groomers available at your Kingston salon for these purposes. Michele got ill on my appointment day. I had taken a day off from my job for my dogs appointment. It also took me 6 weeks to get that appointment. I was called 45 minutes prior to that appointment to cancel it because there was no backup plan. People get sick, I understand that, but its a really bad business practice to cancel an appointment 45 minutes prior to that appointment. On top of that, the other groomer had to stop in between her animals and make those calls making her dogs hang around tied up and getting stressed out because there is not enough help in this salon. I love Michele and will always use her but I dont want my dog walked away from because she has to answer the phone because there is no one else to do it. Please correct this situation so I can continue to use the wonderful job that Michele Baglio provides in Kingston.

Michelle was kind and patient with my dog. It was my dogs first time being groomed and she was visibly nervous on the table. Michelle pet her often and I could see her attempting to reassure her as she took care of her nails. It was comforting to know she was caring for her like I would.

Michelle is a great groomer and wonderful with my dogs. She knows and remembers what they like and dont like. On the other hand the one thing I hate about the salon is there are only 2 people working there and you can never get an appointment. Calling no one can answer because they are with an animal. I understand that. I booked an appt. On line one day and 2 weeks later was in there and saw michelle she looked up appt and it wasnt there. She did get me a new one but thank God I went in and just happened to tell her he would be in and she checked.

Great place my dog Cooper loves going. The blueberry facemask really works for his teary eye mark. Groomers always go above beyond to find appointments for you. They have such a great team.

They do an amazing job cutting my dog!!The only reason I am giving them a 3 star review is their customer service sucks!! In a one week period, I called them 3 times. They got back to me by the end of the week at 10pm.. they also told me I had to wait 2-3 weeks for my dog to get groomed. I love how they cut my dog I just refuse to go there now because they never get back to me and the wait is so long!

Milo had a great spa exerience

Our groomer, Ivette, is skilled and knowledgeable about dog care and health. She thoroughly checked Louie, our 90 lb Goldendoodle, for wellness and advised us on Soresto usage. Her grooming always meets and exceeds our expectations.

Michele is a wonderful groomer. She went above and beyond the call of grooming to make our dog beautiful again. We hope she’ll be Murray’s forever groomer .

The groomer was attentive, pleasant and helpful. My wirefox does not love to be groomed after a bad experience at another facility early in her life. She came out happy and well groomed.

Whiskey looked amazing when we picked him up! So fresh and clean with his puppy cut! Love it!

Aaron is extremely talented with dog grooming, both our dogs love him and he took such great care of them while they were there.

First of all, scheduling online was easy and convenient, and I appreciated the text messages reminding me about the upcoming appointment. Max, the groomer at Petco was fantastic. Max met me when we arrived, got to know my dog, Misha, and then spent several minutes answering my questions and talking to me about options. During the day I got a couple of text updates on Mishas progress. And the results were phenomenal. Misha came in looking pretty ragged, with tangled fur and a dense undercoat that was shedding everywhere. When I picked him up, he was beautifully groomed almost no loose hair.

Had 12 oclock appointment. At 2 oclock she wasnt even done. Had to take her as had another appointment, was still wet!!
