I took my 5 year old rescue to off leash k9 for dog aggression/reactivity and obedience training about a year and a half ago. Amber and Sam were phenomenal, and gave us the skills we needed to keep working at home and after our lessons were finished. Her obedience and reactivity have improved so much that I was able to bring her with me recently to Acadia National Park. We got so many compliments from strangers over the weekend on how well behaved she was. I never could have done this with her if it werent for Amber and Sam!!!
We couldnt be happier with our experience with Off Leash K9 training. Our 2 year old dog is quite the mix... Australian Shepard, husky, and Rottweiler. He is high energy, stubborn, and has a lot to love to give. He hyper fixated on things and goes CRAZY when people come to the house, but now we know how to handle Ryder in this situations. We were really excited for our two-week board and train, but naturally a little nervous to leave our dog with somebody we didn’t know for so long. Our trainer was Trey. I honestly can’t say enough good things about him. His communication was phenomenal. He answered all of our questions and asked us a ton of questions about Ryder to make sure he had a good understanding of him before he got to work. We looked forward to our daily updates and videos. When we met Trey in person we could tell how much he loved dogs and that Ryder was in good hands. Now that we are done with training, we are SO grateful for this program and Trey. Trey did better than I cold have imagined. I honestly didn’t think Ryder would have been able to get to the point where he could do anything off of his leash and Trey proved me wrong! One of our last videos was of Ryder walking around Lowes in heel for a good amount of time. My mind was blown. I couldn’t believe it was the same dog.Last night my 9 year old son was able to take Ryder for a walk for the first time. Before Trey, Ryder was a puller and difficult to walk. After Trey, Ryder walked up and down the street with my son at heel the entire time. I can’t put into works how excited my son and I were and how much it meant to us.Trey, thank you for everything.
We had such an awesome experience with Rose at K9 training. She took awesome care of our golden puppy and helped her with her recall and leash walking skills. We received videos everyday with updates and can’t believe how much of a difference we see in our girl after a week!
Our experience with Rosie during Lokis 3-week board and train program was nothing short of phenomenal! Rosie transformed our Golden Retriever, Loki, from a well-meaning but disobedient pup into a well-mannered, attentive companion. From the start, Rosies professionalism and passion for dog training were evident. She took the time to understand Lokis unique needs and behaviors, customizing the training to fit him perfectly.Loki came back home a changed dog - hes calm, listens to commands, and his overall behavior has improved dramatically. Rosies method was gentle yet firm, ensuring that Loki enjoyed his training while learning essential life skills.Whats more, Rosie provided us with detailed guidance on how to maintain these behaviors at home, and add others making the transition seamless. Her patience, expertise, and genuine love for dogs shine through in every aspect of her work. If youre considering a board and train program, Rosie is the trainer you want for your dog. Thank you, Rosie, for giving us back a well-behaved, happy Loki!
Our puppy had no/very little impulse control before boarding and training with Trey. After 2 weeks with him, our dog was transformed and so were we! Trey taught us how to maintain the training (which we were moderately good at ;) and was also available when I had questions after the experience. Months later, our pup is maturing into such a SWEET and goofy puppy, and he now exceeds my expectations of a puppy his age… which is remarkable. Because of this excellent training and gaining maturity, we now have the puppy we dreamed about. Many thanks to you, Trey! I highly recommend you to anyone who will listen.
We cannot thank Rose our trainer enough for the amazing work she did with our pup to work on all the basic and advanced commands. She is like a new pup. Take the time to get training and ask for Rose you won’t regret it.
We brought our dog Mocha to off leash when we just couldnt get her to listen. Josh was constantly in contact with us and eased any concerns we had. 2 weeks later we had a totally new dog on our hands. She was still the playful goofy pup she has always been but now she listens. She does get distracted by other dogs but will sit and pay attention to me rather than running and jumping. We have been able to take her out in public and our friends and family have raved about how well behaved she is now!
We brought our two-year Jasper to training for socialization, obedience, and aggression training. After nine weeks, we had a completely new dog. Although the training in and of itself was successful, the insight on the behaviors of Jasper (recognizing triggers for aggression, fear, happiness, focus, dominance, and other behaviors) were extremely insightful. Off Leash K9 Training gave us the tools to work with Jasper, but ultimately the effectiveness of training will be a direct result of how much effort you will give to your dog. The trainers were available at anytime through telephone, email, and text which was beneficial on two occasions. I would strongly recommend this facility for training.
We worked with Trey and in 8 classes we experienced tremendous growth with our dog and our relationship with our dog. It was well worth the time and money. I highly recommended the school and Trey.
I cant say enough about Off Leash K9 Training! We started just before COVID closed everything, and K9 kept me up to date on the status of reopening. As for my DOG!!! OMG, amazing! The training and concept of the collar is awesome. I always wanted a dog that could go with me where i went. My golden is off leash, heels, does great in public, comes when he is called....everything!! I have been asked if i was a dog whisperer and i always say Nope, its Off Leash K9!!One thing i can say, the process works...with practice!!! Work your dog and you will get the results you want.I recommend to everyone i see.
The main issue I had with Syracuse Dog Trainers was their failure to communicate with each other and with me. When you schedule your lessons, it does not indicate who the trainer will be on any day, so I assumed that I would be able to make the same progress during any scheduled lesson. That is not the case at all. I worked with Sam for lesson 1 and 6 and Amber for lesson 2-5. Within the first 5 minutes of meeting Sam, she was condescending (like how dare I not already have a 100% perfectly trained dog???) and hostile. After the first 15 minutes, I thought we were on better footing and chalked it up to miscommunication. Amber was much more friendly and helpful and we got along immediately. She seemed like she was actually trying to help me get a handle on my dogs kid aggression and anxiety and seemed very happy with the progress we were making each lesson. Cue to lesson 6, back with Sam (only because of the day the lesson was scheduled). Sam was clearly disappointed in mine and my dogs progress, rude, and condescending. After a few minutes of being scolded, I stopped the lesson and said Im leaving because of her hostility. I explained to her that Amber said me and my dog were doing great, meeting all the benchmarks expected to move on to the next lesson and work on more behavior (the owner, Michelle, stated that the first 4 lessons should be for working on obedience and the last 4 should be focused on behavior). So here I am, at lesson 6 with Sam and she said, oh no...youre not ready to move on...Amber must not have know what was going on. My dog was scared at lesson 6 with Sam. He could sense the hostility and was clearly upset and so was I.I spoke to Michelle about my terrible experience with Sam and after an hour conversation, she offered 2 off-site lessons to take place of my last 3 on-site lessons. I agree. After a month or so, I try to schedule the off-site lesson at home. Apparently, they dont do home lessons, which was not explained to me. Then I have a 15 minute conversation with Michelle where she rudely tells me the off-site lessons were not available for home use, which she says, I didnt tell you that was allowed and I say, you didnt say it wasnt allowed... and then she says, we had an hour long conversation a month ago about what your options were...and I said, no, we talked about how terrible the lesson with Sam was.So long story, short; there was never an apology (until I said, you could just say sorry for the misunderstanding), plenty of deflection and excuses. Overall a terrible experience. They refunded my money for the last 3 lessons, which was the least they could do.If you want to do e-collar training, I recommend Sit-Means-Sit. They were super friendly when I got my older dog trained there, they did a free consultation before we gave them any money (which is where a lot of issues could have been cleared up with Syracuse Dog Trainers). I only didnt use them this time because they dont specialize in dog reactivity. After my experience with Syracuse Dog Trainers, its clear they do not either. If you need to work on reactivity, I recommend getting a book and talking to your vet.
My 7 y/o Border Collie mix dog, Lola, just finished the two week board and train program with Travis. He cared for her as if she were one of his own, which was an incredible relief to someone like myself, as I’d never been away from my dog for more than 4 days. He is incredibly knowledgeable and honestly I don’t think I could have found a better trainer if I tried.Lola, who used to pull me down the street on our walks, can now heel beautifully both on AND off leash, and her off-leash recall is incredible. She also does incredibly well now with the “place” and “wait” command, and her door manners.I was so nervous for Lola to start any of the off-leash training (she used to be an escape artist with no recall) but I could tell through conversations, and the updates and photos/videos I received from Travis that her safety was top priority to him. I was comfortable and felt at ease the entire time she was with him.Dropping off my pup was nerve wracking but Travis was incredibly patient with me from the start. When I dropped her off, he could tell how nervous I was. He sent me photos of Lola two hours later to let me know she was settling in nicely. This was a huge relief for me.I put all my trust in Travis and let him take the lead. He did NOT disappoint. He never missed a daily update, and he sent me detailed information (including photos and videos) about what Lola was working on that day, and what he and Lola would work on next. He spent time going over everything with me when the two week board and train program was finished, and when I had questions the next day (after we were home) he called me and went through them with me, and asked how my pup was doing with everything.I have nothing but positive things to say about him and Off-Leash K9 Training.Thank you, Travis, for your hard work with Lola. This training is invaluable.
Off Leash K9 Training is changing Jingos life for the better. Jingo is a big boy in all aspects of his being: his bark, his enthusiasm, his playfulness, his strength, his power, his joyfulness, and, his heart. What he is learning from Sam Weaver, trainer extraordinaire, is how to be big and be a model dog citizen, functioning from his heart rather than from impulse. I can already see the difference after four classes.
Sam was the trainer for my 3 year old Australian Labradoodle. She taught my dog the basic commands of sit, down, come, place, heel and break in a span of 8 classes. My dog received basic training when he was a puppy but could only remember sit. Before lessons, walking him was not very fun since he always pulled during our walks. It was great that after a couple of classes teaching my dog how to heel, he was no longer pulling the leash and walked by my side, or even my son’s side even though he never came to the training sessions. Sam was very caring and accommodating with us. I enjoyed our conversations both educational when learning dog discipline to a personal level when we would talk about anything. My dog is a much better dog now and I’m very happy that I went for it and signed him up for lessons 👍🐶
I sent my 2 year old spaniel mix to Syracuse Off Leash K9 Training 2 week board & train program. My dog was paired with the trainer Trey. Trey did a great job with my dog. I was sent daily photos / videos of the progress my dog was making. Trey worked with my dog on the 6 commands as well as other issues he was having at home. I highly recommend this service.
I highly recommend OLK9 Training!!! Kait is amazing!!!! Our 11 month old golden retriever did the two week board and train program and Kait was our trainer. I have to admit I was worried about spending the money, but it was soooooo worth it!!! I loved all of the daily communication...Kait sent me a video every day to show the progress our dog was making. When we picked him up after the two weeks he had learned so much, he is much better behaved but still the same loveable puppy we know and love. I can tell Kait loved him as much as we do and our pup loved her too!! I am so glad we did this program with our pup!!
We had an outstanding experience with our trainer Sam, from Off Leash K9. She was wonderful with our 2 1/2 year old Golden Doodle... and the results are amazing! She spent two weeks at Sam’s home where she received lots of love and was transformed to a perfectly behaved dog we are so proud of! It’s been almost two months and she is a good as ever. I cannot say enough good things about how happy we are with the experience and results. I would recommend to anyone!
Sam from Off Leash K9 Training, Syracuse is a miracle worker. I cannot believe the difference in our Black Lab after 2 weeks of being with her. He is able to walk without pulling, he is able to sit for a prolonged period of time around various distractions (other dogs, people> etc), and he doesn’t run out the door every time it is opened. She is super caring, communicative and dedicated to the dogs in her care. We highly recommend this program! We are so happy to be able to take our dog places with us without having to man handle him the entire time!
Carissa was awesome with our puppy. She communicated with us daily and even sent videos of the progress our puppy was making. She offered to stay in touch if we had any questions after our puppy returned home. We still keep in contact and Carissa continues to help us. I would highly recommend this program to anyone looking for a better behaved dog. Our daily walks have gotten so much easier and our puppy actually listens to directions now. Amazing experience!
I loved working with Carissa to get my dogs behaviors under control. I learned so much about what I had been doing wrong up until then. Even after the lessons were over the learning and improvements didnt stop as I was given the tools needed to continue successfully. My dogs are making better life choices as they were shown what those choices can bring them. Please know, that you do need to work with your dogs and keep up with the exercises that the trainer teaches you. I worked with my dogs everyday as it was that important to me for them to improve their actions and attitudes.Money well spent and I highly recommend to anyone looking to improve their relationship with their dogs.
This is been one of the greatest experiences that both Trixie, my 13-month-old Cavapoo and I have had. Trixie attended your boarding and training two week program with Samantha. After checking around different programs, I came across your program on Facebook and felt this would be the greatest training, I could do for her. Sam was great with her, after a few days of figuring out who is the Alpha, Sam won out and I got the most beautiful wonderful happy puppy back that I could ever imagine. She’s happier to keep up her training at home. I’m happier to have a pet with door manners, who now does not jump all over guests and of course it’s great taking her for walks without her pulling me. Kudos to Off Leash K-9 training and especially to Sam. Thank-you, for making me a better pet parent!
AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! I sent both of my Siberian huskies to this training! They worked with Dylan who is phenomenal at what he does! He is patient, caring and makes all his hard work look easy. My dogs are not even 2 years old yet and I can now walk them without leash with such ease. It has made my life so much easier and my dogs love their new found freedom! I can’t thank Dylan enough for all he’s done. My pups adore him and when they do see him they get so excited! I highly recommend this training program. It’s fantastic! - Brittney D.
I really enjoyed working with trainers at off leash K-9 training. I experienced training in Syracuse and Rochester. My dog gets so many positive comments about how obedient she is. I did a refresher course to help me with leadership skills. Staff was absolutely wonderful. My doodle at 2 years enjoys her life more with the safety and freedom she has.
I rescued Milo a few years back, he had no manners and he didnt know how strong he was. After taking classes with Dylan about a year ago, we worked on his commands, which he mastered. I want him to have the best life possible and made the decision a bit more training with Dylan would achieve that. Dylan is amazing, he connected with Milo like he was his own. Kept me informed on his training ( the good and the needs more work), pics and videos as well. My pack of three are now calm in the house, staying off the furniture all thanks to Dylan and his words of wisdom.
My fiancé and I adopted a dog from an unfortunate situation. We had a 3.5 year old German shepherd that never left the garage, wasn’t socialized, didn’t meet another animal, didn’t know how to be a dog. We were at a loss at what to do. She was so so loving but she just didn’t listen and she needed a “job”. We did our research and that’s when we found Off Leash K9 and were connected to Trey and we never looked back. Trey gave our dog the confidence in being a dog, and taught her how to trust. He pushed her limits and her comfort zones and made her into a dog that anyone would be lucky to have. From having a dog who would get aggressive seeing another dog driving by them in a car, to now having a dog being able to be in the same room as another dog and not caring at all. From having a dog who wouldn’t listen to a word we said, to now having a dog so obedient and so loyal she would do anything to protect us. Thank you Trey for giving us our lives back and thank you for helping to make our dog the way she is now. I would recommend Trey to anybody, and I know without a doubt we will be going back to Trey for more training.
I truly cannot say enough about our experience with Sam from Off Leash K9 Syracuse. She took our crazy, loving, naughty 5 month old lab mix, Stella, for a two-week board and train, and I picked her up as an obedient, loving, well-behaved angel. Sam really took the time to teach Stella her manners and some great skills, and then taught us how to apply and reinforce those skills at home. My dog is so happy to be off leash, and we are so happy to allow her that freedom with confidence in her safety and ability to be recalled. Friends who saw how far she came in just a few days signed their pups up for the same program with Sam before the first week was even over!! Missing my girl was rough, but Sam sent pictures and videos every day so I could keep up on her progress and be fully aware of everything going on with her. Even something as simple as a little spot on her paw (that was truly nothing), Sam made me aware IMMEDIATELY. Sam loves Stella like one of her own, and we couldnt have asked for a better trainer. I would trust Sam with any one of my animals, any time. Stella loves her, and so do we!! We highly recommend this program, and specifically Sam. For us, a lifetime of obedience is worth every last penny we spent.
Sam has been absolutely amazing in the 4 training sessions we have had. Even during shutdown she checked in on us and encouraged everything we were doing. Nala has been gaining so much confidence and has become so much easier to train. I would recommend to anyone who is willing to put in the work their dog needs. It’s not just a lesson and that’s it. Life long training and learning how to make your dog successful is worth ever penny.
Sam from off leash in Syracuse is amazing! She took my crazy golden retriever Finn for just two weeks and completely transformed him into a well behaved happy dog! Finn had several behavioral concerns (barking, jumping, digging, eating everything, no recall, too rough when playing and a lot more) and Sam corrected them all. My expectations have been surpassed. I didn’t think it was possible for my dog to be this good. I’m still in shock and it’s all thanks to Sam!
The programs available at Off Leash K9 Training are amazingly helpful. We have a husky that was very rambunctious, constantly jumping on the kids and other people who entered the house, and just generally had his own agenda on how to behave. After the two week board and training program with Off Leash he came back very well behaved and more attentive to everyones commands. I would highly recommend them and their trainers for whatever services you want. They are very professional and attentive.
I loved my training sessions with Syracuse Off Leash K9. I felt like every penny I spent was worth it, and I intend to sign up for more training in the spring. I can trust my dog - who comes from Field Champion hunting lines - to come back to me when a bird flies overhead. We have work to do, but this training allowed me to better understand what my dog was telling me, what instincts he had that we had to learn to work through together, and overall helped me to understand how he needed me to communicate with him. My dog thrives on a challenge, and loved going to work. We cant wait to go back. Highly, highly recommend.
We had a great experience with our young German shepherd rescue that needed some training. Sam was outstanding, friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. Our dog was very skittish with new people and our trainer was always patient while still able to provide results when working with us. I highly recommend Sam as she has been a valuable resource beyond our initial training sessions.
We had a great experience with our 10mo old mini golden doodle. We decided to go with the board and train package for her and we couldnt be happier with her results. We had an amazing trainer, Justine. She kept us informed daily on her progress. Her results were night and day. We would definitely refer anyone to Offleash whose pup needs a little help with learning their manners.
We have been very happy since our pup completed the Board and Train program with Josh. He was very professional and took plenty of time with us to answer all of our questions. It’s apparent that he truly loves dogs from his care and treatment of her. We’re extremely pleased, as the training has made a huge difference in her behavior, even though she was only seven months old! Thanks again, Josh!
We sent our 6 month poodle/heeler mix who we are hoping to eventually have trained as a service animal. Amber was FANTASTIC! She listened to what our hopes for our dog (Bentley) were and tailored Bentleys training to reach those goals. She focused on the commands and public facing behavior that will be essential for him to master in order to work one day. She sent daily updates and so many pictures/videos so we constantly knew how Bentley was doing and the progress he was making. She stayed in close contact with us when he came home and helped us transition to working with him on our own.10/10 recommend Amber!
Absolutely wonderful trainers! Worked with Sam and Dylan with my husky Max. We adopted him as a difficult to live with 1 year old, but he is a wonderful dog to be with now. I got the Basic/ Advanced combo package because I figured I’d need all the lessons for him! I did not think Max would ever safely walk off leash, I just wanted him not to pull me down the road on a walk. He is mastering his heel, down, and walked off leash for the first time today! Excited to see where we can go with our next two lessons. My other husky mix starts lessons with them next month.
I cannot say enough about Dylan, my dog Storm’s trainer. He’s knowledgeable, patient and serious about what he does. Storm is a 2 year old GSD who came to Off-Leash in March with some reactivity and minor attitude. Dylan has worked WONDERS and has also been super upfront about how to correct what needs to be corrected, always answers questions and is always around for my dog and me. I am incredibly happy with everything about Storm’s training sessions and the incredible dog I’m walking away with from these sessions. I would strongly recommend anyone who needs a trainer to contact Off Leash and Dylan! 😊
Amazing trainer! We did in-home training for our 6 year old pitty and couldnt be happier. Kaitlyn is extremely professional and great with my dogs. She is also wonderful with kids and involves them in lessons. She explained everything thoroughly and answered all my questions. My pup has made great progress and I am less anxious when walking her and I feel more confident training my dogs on my own in between lessons.
My experience with Off Leash K9 Training was nothing but professionalism.I bought a 10 week old German Shepard because I had good relationship with one when I was a kid. I am almost 64 now. Anyway, I thought if I started my pup young he would learn. So for the next 6 or 7 weeks I got up with him and took him outside. After outside, time to eat. Before feeding him I made him sit, down, and roll over. After feeding him we would go outside again and me and Chance would take our 1st of 3 or sometimes 4 hour long walks. Everyday was the same. He would do his little routine for me to get his food but when it came time for anything else my Chance just didnt understand or didnt want to listen. He was just happy to be outside. So imagine someone walking down the street, constantly pulling on a leash and not getting nowhere. I never gave up but was saved by my pups trainer, Carissa. After she got ahold of Chance he turned into the perfect German Shepherd. Not only do I have full control over my pup now I also can walk him knowing what side of me hes on and how far away hes walking from me. Its a true joy to walk him and really hes the best mannered pup and friend I ever had and Ive had a few friends. Thanks Off Leash K9.
After a referral from my vets office I signed my 1 year old lab/ pit mix Millie up for the basic package. I can’t believe the difference from June to now . Before I could barely walk her on the leash now people are complimenting me on how well behaved she is . Sam was amazing to work with. She didn’t just help us with her obedience she helped us find ways to make it fun and helped Millie be a happier less anxious dog ! I’m also a much happier dog owner too and excited about all the adventures to come with Millie by my side. 🐕
I had the best experience. High energy Doberman. I was afraid to take him anywhere. Carissa was amazing. She’s no nonsense but has a heart of gold. She wants your dog to be successful. Provides updates and a great handover instruction to keep the training successful. To this day I can ask questions on any behavior I’m concerned with. I cannot recommend this program enough.
Great people!! Every interaction we have had has been awesome. From signing up to each training session. The principles they teach are really effective and I am really pleased with the progress we have made. We are still in training, but things we have learned up until this point have helped our Corgi tremendously and we could not have made this progress without them. I’ve watched many videos on dog training, but the hands on experience that is customized to our specific needs is what we needed. HIGHLY recommended!
This training was well worth it for my little over 1 year old golden doodle, Morgan. Prior to the training Morgan did not listen and was jumping, barking at everything! I was so nervous about having her outside because I didn’t want to be THAT house. She is still Morgan but now a better listening Morgan. She does still get excited but we tell her when that’s ok to greet rather than her just jumping crazy! Josh our trainer was awesome! At first Morgan struggled and was very anxious but josh never gave up! He gave updates and videos on a daily basis which was assurance for my 2 young daughters which were very sad when we dropped her off. Well worth every penny and I would highly recommend to anyone! ❤️❤️
I had the absolute pleasure of working with Trey who was incredibly helpful with Lucy’s training. Not only was he great at communicating about lessons/locations, but he was flexible in giving options and techniques that worked best for Lucy. She made quick progress with Trey’s guidance. He was proficient, personable, and professional. I would recommend this training program after having such a fantastic experience.
I had heard about this training program when my Rottie and I were approached by a woman in Petsmart who wanted to pet my dog. Our conversation led into leashes, collars, choke collars etc when she mentioned this Off Leash K9 training program. She raved about it and told me that not only had their dog attended, but she had purchased the classes for her sons dog as well.I was skeptical, and even waited a few months before calling. I finally pulled the trigger because our dog was reaching full-grown size and was starting to realize her own size! We booked the Basic Obedience package and couldnt be more impressed with the results! The 1-on-1 hour long classes not only taught our dog, but focused on teaching us how to implement the commands as well. When we left class each week, we had a new command (that we had just spent the last hour working on with the trainer) along with tips and ideas for ways to continue training throughout the week. Our dog now responds to come, sit, down, place and heel. The mental stimulation of training for 20 min per day has eliminated her extra energy and has made our household less chaotic. Would definitely recommend this program over and over again!
I didnt have high expectations for our little goldendoodle puppy when we started classes. Never thought that little bundle of energy could learn to heel, stay, place and go under. Justine and Carissa were great trainers and Maxx learned so quickly! I would highly recommend Off Leash K9 training. You can have an unruly dog or a well trained companion. Very worth your time to spend with the trainers and your little furry friend.
Our German Shepherd, Koda, was a very dominant, stubborn puppy. He continually nipped at your hand to show he was in control. He was a jumper and would never lay down for any period of time. Sam was amazing and worked with him for a two week stay and he came back a completely different dog. He is the obedient, loving dog who will walk off-leash, do extended downs, and listens to all my commands. Sam took as much time as I needed to train me to continue her good work. Way to go Sam & Off Leash K9 Training!
My 1 year old Belgian Malinois, Kyra, just completed the 2 week board and train and I’m very thrilled with the end product. I had Sam as a trainer. She was very responsive with texts, videos, and pictures everyday on their new adventures. Even after the training she will check in on Kyra. Anyone thinking about getting their dog trained and using Syracuse Offleash should. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you Sam!!!
We cannot say enough good things about the company and trainers ! They transformed our 9 month old German Shepherd from a wild outta control pup to a well trained and happy young adult. I cannot express enough how great it is to step out our door an let Maverick our pup outside the fenced yard to play and run around knowing at an instant that when we call him he immediately comes. He learned various commands and minds them all. Our trainer Cassie probably had a harder time training us than Maverick lol. She really did a great job ! Thank you Cassie ! Maverick sends huggs !! We highly recommend these professionals !
Our trainer Sam is amazing !!!! She truly cares about dogs and is extremely in tune with their behaviors and how to best work with them and the owner. Our dog has made tremendous growth with her in just a few sessions !!! Highly recommend our Trainer, Sam W
I have a very intelligent, but very headstrong herding dog. I have taken her to two different dog obedience schools and she went through both programs.... And failed out of both. The instructors could not get her to do anything and essentially told me.... All she wants to do is herd and doesnt care about anything else. She was turning 3 and I wanted so much more from this rough and tumble dog that can catch a frisbee in mid-air while spinning 180 degrees, and then cuddle with you on the couch.I decided to spend the money and take her to offleash K9 training. Thinking... If this doesnt work, shes just gonna be a house dog and wont be able to go anywhere with me because she wont listen to basic commands. She knows them... She just decides that they are beneath her to obey.It literally took 2 lessons. TWO lessons with Justine, to get my dog to come, sit, stay and place with 90% obedience. Mind you, her obedience percentage before this was about 3% on a good day.I had two lessons left and I asked if my wife could do the next two lessons because walking this 4-legged bundle of Im in charge was so bad my wife had to walk her and our other dog separately. This dog, even though shes only 40lbs would pull my wifes arm off.Two lessons later we are walking loose leash through home depot with my other dog walking around to distract her. My wife can now enjoy morning walks and it has been amazing.Theres not enough good things I can say about this training. Not only did the instructors train my dog, they trained me on how to train my dog. They gave me the confidence with the e-collar to use it correctly.5 stars all the way.
Kaitlin was amazing. You can tell she has a passion for dogs. She communicated with us daily about our dogs progress. She answered any questions we had. Our dog fell in love with her. He returned to us happy and well behaved. You can tell Kaitlin loves her job, and is dedicated to the dogs she trains! I would highly recommend her.
Dylan was absolutely amazing with our 2 girls Gidget and Fidget. We started with him when our chocolate lab ( Gidget) was 9 months old and our yellow lab (Fidget) was 5 months old. We get so many comments on how good our girls are in public especially for their ages. When Fidget was having a bad day he worked her through it and showed us how to do it as well. We look forward to taking our girls out everywhere we possibly can and we owe it all to Dylan. We totally recommend this training for anyone who loves taking their dogs out as much as we do. Thank you so much Dylan!
Trey, in one refresher lesson, taught me and the dog all we needed to know to safely walk. This was after two frustrating months of trying a head collar, a belly-band leash, treats … to get her to stop overpowering me and going bananas at birds, dogs, people. We walk as a great team, now. THANKS, Trey
I am ever so happy with my GSD Olivia. I was her third owner. The last owner gave up on her and created her at least 12 hours a day. She had so much anxiety built up I had a hard time with keeping her from barking and jumping. I and all my friends are amazed at what Sam has done with Olivia, She is a totally different dog then the one I dropped off with her. I cannot be more proud of the work They both (Sam and Olivia) have put in.
Amazing experience with this company! My 6 month old Cane Corso was trained by Carissa and she is perfect ❤ we got video and picture updates everyday and progress reports on how she was doing. I highly recommend Off Leash K9 training !
We sent our 1 to German Shepherd for the 2 week board and train program with Zach. She learned so much and has maintained her skill levels post- training! We would highly recommend Off Leash!
We’ve had an all around great experience with this team. I highly highly recommend trainer Dylan. He has educated my husband and I on every step of this journey with our 7 year old coonhound and we’ve been able to watch him change into a happier more well behaved dog in just a matter of weeks.
Josh was Dani’s trainer and what he did for her dog reactivity was nothing short of a miracle. He is amazing! We had Dylan a couple of times as well and he did a great job as well!
Very satisfied with our experience. Our German Shepherd is such a great dog with the training skills that we learned at Off Leash K9 Training. Thank you and I would absolutely recommend to anyone!
We had an amazing experience with our trainer Dylan. Our dog now heels, comes on Command, and will sit/down/place for extended time. Our dog goes with us everywhere now.
They took in my almost 3 year old husky and in just under 2 weeks had her following directions so well! Down from a distance, door manners, and soo much more! Can’t say enough about how great this company was for my dog!
Nanook before his training would pull so hard he couldnt be walked. 2 weeks with Sam who is great with communication with us he wont leave your side and doesnt pull at all no matter what the distraction is. Im amazed at how well he responds to his commands and how much they clicked. He was quite the challenge for her but she got it done. His behavior is night and day.
Wonderful experience with Off Leash K9 of Syracuse. We were on the same page on how to work with our German Shepherd. I plan on taking my other two dogs as soon as I can.
Our 3 year old recently adopted great dane needed to learn manners when meeting new dogs due to limited exposure. After his first 3 lessons, plus our working with him at home, we had the foundation needed for camping season to start. By the end of his Dog Aggression plus Reactivity (includes basic), We were comfortable with our teens walking him, taking him to social situations (trunk or Treat, dog friendly establishments, camping, off leash in our yard, etc). When he needed a minor medical procedure done, the vet even commented on the positive change in his behavior. We had such a positive experience that by lesson 5, our adult son had his rescued GSD signed up for school.
Our Beagle:Cattle dog is smart and fun with a mind of his own! Whoever said Beagles cant be trained us wrong! Beau loved learning his new commands and is such a pleasure now.
First of all, we love Justine. She is the best. She did a good job with our boy. He can be a handful. Unfortuneately, he still has that reactivity to people. That is something that we dont seem to be able to stop. We have to be very careful if other people are around. You just dont know when he will go off.
Love what Cassie was able to do with Baxter in such a short time! The videos she sent were impressive, but what was more impressive was how well Baxter behaved when she returned him -- in a shopping mall! Highly recommended!!!
1.5 year old gsd i couldnt take off the leash before the lessons, after shes absolutely flawless and sticks to my side no matter what! Sam is amazing and i couldnt be happier with how easy they made everything!
We had Dylan as our trainer for our two boxers. We can’t say enough good things about him or the program! Well worth the money!
Off leash K9 training was great. My dogs loved going and learned a lot very quickly. I was a great experience!
I had a great experience with Off Leash K9 Training. We had a dog trainer come to the house and he was great. I highly recommend this company.
They use e-collars and prong collars, which are not necessary for most dogs. You can easily train a dog with positive reinforcement and get better results than using aversive tools. Would not recommend.
Just finished up my 4th lesson. Trainers are top notch. My lil bro Rusty has learned a ton, but more importantly, I learned what to do. These guys are legit
They did a great job with my dog and kept me up to date with her progress. Love the service
We had a phone consultation a few weeks ago, we were then told if we were interested in the recommended class we had to call back to schedule an in person consultation. We have been trying to schedule this for almost 2 weeks. We were told a trainer would contact us, first time they called at 9:30 PM on a weekday which was unexpected so we missed the call. We called back and were told a trainer would contact us again. We got a call a few days later but the call dropped. We called back and got reception again and was told there were no trainers available even though we had JUST been on the phone with them. This happened TWO MORE TIMES and we finally gave up. If it is this difficult to even schedule a consultation, I cant imagine trying to schedule 8 individual sessions. So disappointing. We told the receptionist our frustrations and were pretty much told too bad and to wait for a trainer to contact us. Terrible customer service.
Its very nerve racking to entrust someone with your pet and not see them for weeks. But the pay off was worth it. Sam is an amazing individual and trainer. The connection they forged in such a short time was heart warming. Id recommend her to everyone.
The training was great. But their constant and continuous “requests” to be reviewed goes from beyond annoying to stalkerish
This is the second time we’ve used off leash k9 training, our shepherd mix was the first one to go, and then we sent our little corgi since our condo is in a very dog friendly area, so we wanted to be able to bring both. Justine definitely boosts their confidence and manners. She even got moose to do stairs, which definitely helps out because I was carrying him up and down. Definitely worth the money.
My puppy went to training. She has been home for a few months now. Everyone comments and asks where she was trained and I always let them know. Josh was Marley’s trainer. She built a relationship with Josh and you can tell how much each trainer cares for dogs. Marley can be in the front yard or back yard. People and dogs walk by and she goes into a sit or a down and stays. She waits for me to release her with the break command before. She has NOT escaped my home since training. While eating I will put her into a down and eat. She will not break till you tell her to. She has done really well with heeling. I am so proud and cannot thank josh and off leash K9 enough
The training my dog and I received from Sam in Syracuse was great ! It was a awesome experience working with my dog like I never have before. both him and I learned alot over the duration of our sessions. Highly recommend for someone who is willing to work with their dog and put the time in. The results speak for themselves.
Our experience with Dylan was remarkable. We were nervous to leave our dog with a stranger for two weeks but that feeling quickly went away when we met Dylan. He is friendly and down to earth. Our shepherd quickly trusted him and so did we! Dylan sent us progress updates with pictures and videos multiple times a day. Although our dogs advancement through skills was amazing, my favorite part of the videos was watching how happy our dog was with Dylan. After completing a challenging duration hold, our dog would run to Dylan for scratches and encouragement. Our German Shepherd absolutely loved working with him. The results are incredible! Our dog is focused, calm, and well behaved. The training session we had with Dylan at the completion of the board and train program was invaluable. Our dog owner skills were ameliorated and we left feeling confident that we could continue to practice the skills our dog learned. Dylan was able to answer every single one of our questions and helped us grow as trainers. Before the board and train, walks were a stressful experience. The leash pulling and aggression were too much to handle. Now we feel confident and walks are enjoyable! Thank you so much to Dylan for taking such great care of our dog and for everything youve taught her!!
First visit/excellent trainer who guided use through program expectations and first lesson
We had a great experience working with Josh. The training techniques learned with our pup continue to be useful and rewarding two years later. Highly recommended.
Sam at the North Syracuse location was absolutely fantastic. I was at my wits end with our puppy. In one lesson his behavior improved dramatically. As I continued working with our puppy between lessons, he learned new commands quickly. By the 4th lesson he was learning commands from advanced courses. Sam answered any questions I had and she will not sugar coat anything. She tells it like it is and she is very knowledgeable. I cant wait for the advanced classes this summer! I will continue to work with our puppy to strengthen the skills he has learned. Would recommend to anyone thinking about training.
Amber from Syracuse was exceptional. Highly recommend. Above & beyond expectations.
All the people that I met at each stage are professional and have a love for their trade and their four legged clients. I highly recommend off leash k9 for your dog training needs.
Great team they work with all dogs. And when your Baby comes home you have atrue loving family member that you only dreamed of
Very happy with the results of Clarks training . Jason informed us daily with text, video & photos of Clarks progress.
My dog Hunter is doing better with commands. Getting better with anxiety.
