The Winschelhaus dog training is superior. We purchased our BFF aka Luna from Steve 4years ago and our experience has been nothing but the absolute best. From day one Steve has made himself available for some of his professional training. Luna has become a blessing as a family loving and caring member and protector of my domain. No true words can articulate our true feelings for the gift Steve and his family has given us 4 years ago. Under Steve’s training and guidance I have well trained and reliable and responsive friend. Steve has also boarded Luna every year while we are on family vacation and I trust no other. Thanks again Steve, for all you do.

Steve is just the BEST!!! Amazing and easy to work with. The progress that we made with 2 dogs that knew nothing was an honor to be part of. He is not only amazing with the dogs but also with children looking to learn how to handle them on walks. We have learned so much. His own personal dogs are also incredible to watch. After extensive research for a knowledgeable trainer who has experience with training our breed, a Belgian Malinois, we located Winschelhaus Dog Training. We have been bringing our dog Cash to Steve since he was 9 weeks old. Now at 14 weeks, with Steve’s knowledge and expertise at K-9 handling, Cash is doing things that amaze us everyday!If you are considering dog training for any breed, we would highly recommend Steve as we have witnessed him working with all breeds. I highly recommend Winschelhaus dog training. We adopted a dog from Texas without getting to meet her. I have a special needs daughter who needed social emotional support. Due to fine motor difficulties we wanted to have our dog trained professionally to support and guide our daughter. Steve is very serious about training but he can also be humorous. My daughter enjoys going to the training lessons because Steve makes her feel comfortable. Highly recommend.

We looked at many methods of obedience training when we first decided to get a German Shepherd. Ultimately, we decided to work with Steve at Winschelhaus because of his expertise in training Schutzhund/working line dogs. This method of training develops the natural instinct of the dog, while also developing the temperament for a good family dog. We started working with Steve when our puppy was 14 weeks - she is already heeling, and learning tracking work and we’re happy to say we also don’t experience much “destructive behaviour” from her either - no chewed up shoes in our house! Our puppy is developing into a happy, confident dog, and we could not have done it without Steve. Steve is a great dog trainer. He has helped us with dealing with our dog showing sings of fear aggression. Steve’s approach is to help train the trainers prepare for any possible situation. Our dog has shown tremendous growth in a short time. We are fortunate to be able to work with Steve. He is great with all personality types and will correct the humans working with the dog in a firm yet helpful way. He is minutes from Syracuse and has a spacious area to help train your dog.

We took our 4 year old dog to Steve for 10 sessions of training. More importantly, we took ourselves, as is it the owners who really require it! Steve was very professional, positive and flexible in his approach - sometimes he came to my office, which was very helpful, and also took us on walks in town. His one-on-one training sessions, while more expensive, were much more effective than the group approach we took with a previous dog.He is always available for questions, and is very honest about the time commitment it takes to train both between sessions and for months after the sessions end. As he says, you have to practice, practice, practice!

Working with Steve has been wonderful for our 2 year old Golden Retriever and our family. He does a great job engaging her and teaching our two young daughters how to handle her. We are all learning so much and it has been such a positive experience. We highly recommend!

I cannot recommend Steve enough for helping train our crazy one year old Lab, and me as a handler. It’s a great program with three meetings a week , at any location you can think of to get your dog exposed to any environment you can think of. He is kind, energetic, patient, and passionate about training dogs! I’ve had other training, and non come close to getting the results we are getting at Winchehaus Dog Training

Steve is a very personable and dedicated professional. We have enjoyed every session and are grateful for Steves guidance and ability to train US to achieve great results with our cavapoo, Roxie. Before training going for a walk was frustrating. Now, not only are walks enjoyable but every aspect of Roxies behavior has benefited from our time with Steve.

I have been taking my dog here for about a month and have seen great results after only 2 lessons! My puppy went from being scared and aggressive towards many things to very confident and excited to learn more! Highly recommend to anyone whose dog isnt quite perfect yet!

Steve was amazing. Money well spent. Loki was aggressive to humans, now he can be around them without incident. This was only possible with Steves teachings.
