I have had parrots my entire life and my parents had them while I was growing up. We have purchased 2 birds from them and they are by far the best on the East Coast. We drove 4 hours an each way for our Blue Crown Conure and that was our first interaction with them which was exceptional. We took the Blue Crown to the vet and the vet told us (after blood work was taken) that she was one of the most healthy birds she has seen in a while. After this feedback from our vet the store posted Yellow Nape Amazon babies and we reserved one. We waited a couple months for him to grow and the store did another exceptional job keeping in contact with us by sending photos and offering video calls. Fast forward to July we made the drive to pick up the Yellow Nape and he is the most lovable, affectionate, and talkative bird we have ever had. Growing up we had a Golfin Cockatoo and he is even more affectionate than her. All I can say… Great work and anyone who is looking for a lifelong lovable bird this is the place to go. They are worth the drive and I would drive longer to get to them. The staff and the store is extremely exceptional. Well done!

This store is phenomenal, truly. If you have been wanting a bird, but hesitant because you have never owned one, or have reservations on how you think a bird would fit into your home/lifestyle- you should make the trip to stop in here and talk to them.The staff was soo informative, helpful, and so kind and patient. Sedona was wonderful, and was so kind and patient with my kids (who were very excited to be checking out some birds) and just made them feel so comfortable and confident at the same time. Neither one of kids had ever really interacted fully with birds, so I was not sure how a pet bird would work out. The kids did wonderfully. Exotic Pet Birds Inc has consult rooms where you can sit down and relax- and they bring birds in for you to meet and interact with, its honestly so great, and it makes so much sense. All of the birds were healthy, and active- and you can tell they are all worked with on the regular and dont shy away from you in fear upon interacting with them. 10/10 would recommend anyone and everyone who is contemplating getting a bird to check them out- you will not regret it!

We have had a great experience working with Exotic pet birds especially Maddie. She has been very informative. We first bought our Quaker parrot there and now we are returned customers waiting on our two baby cockatiels! We are so appreciative of their information, knowledge and experience. It has been stress free working with them and knowing are birds were handled and socialized so that the transition is easy.

This place is amazing! I went there with my daughters baby bird that had splayed legs bc I couldnt afford a vet visit to try to fix it and everywhere and everyone(most pet stores) I spoke with that was the answer, take it to the vet. So I heard about this place, Exotic birds. I brought our bird there and showed them and instead of doing what other pet stores did by saying he needed a vet visit and sending us away they actually helped us. They showed my daughter exactly what to do to fix him. They are so amazing there. I will be forever grateful to each one of them who helped us. So thank you Exotic Birds we appreciate everything you guys do and stand for.

Absolutely love this place, its so big, very clean all staff was so kind an Knowledgeable, I got to talk with so many other amazing parrots but brought home a absolutely beautiful black head lovebird, she is so friendly ! An they do DNA test so you get their certificate with gender also on it. They also give a good size packet of how to care for your birds and giving full free grooming of purchased birds for life 🥰 this place is 100% best iv ever found! Very recommended!!!

Seriously hands down the best place to go when looking for your forever baby. We (9 yr old boy & myself) drove 1 1/2 hrs to check this place out & search for a bird... although we didnt purchase one because of the financial part of owning one, we never once felt pressured into buying at this location. We sat with Sedona who by far exceeded our expectations as an expert on these birds. I even called prior to visiting & she spoke with me for awhile. She went above & beyond to help us on our journey! I appreciate her knowledgeability & patience. Sedona explained alot about each & every bird we sat with & also let us know about the deposit & cage options. I highly recommend checking this store out! They have a beautiful selection of birds & the store it is super clean & cozy! I honestly wish it was closer to visit more often. My experience with Exotic Pet Birds Inc was absolutely wonderful! I chose a baby green Quaker and I received so much support and kindness throughout the next couple of months as he grew! We were encouraged to visit him as often as we wanted, which we did! It created a bond between us and our Quaker, Oliver, that made our homecoming so smooth and fun. After we brought him home I had some questions and even over the phone they took time and care with me and answered all my questions and encouraged me. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough! If we ever decide to add to our bird family It will only be through Exotic Pet Birds!

Buyer beware. If you are going there to buy, do your homework.Pros: they offer break and nail trims and services like boarding.The birds all appear very healthy and my friend who got one has had no health issues so far.The store set up is nice and they have a wide selection of birds.The birds are all hand raised too so they are very friendly.Cons: ask questions because they dont offer ANY helpful information on how to own a bird, and double check any info they do provide as it often conflicts with vets and exotic bird experts (especially related to diet).They dont seem to care if you are educated about owning a bird or have the right lifestyle, and seem to have no regard for where their birds end up. At a minimum I feel like they should ask/tell you about lethal dangers that could be present in your home that are not obvious to a first time bird owner.They do not offer refunds on deposits so it seems like this is actually a great way for them to make money. I put a deposit down on a lovely bird, never being told it was non refundable, and then realized I could not take her after doing my own research about the needs of a bird, so I lost that money and they kept the bird to sell again. I wonder how often this happens, as I was told about 2 other times a deposit had been put down for this bird specifically. So since they are non-refundable theyve made at least $600 from a $400 bird so far.You will also be enticed to make purchases for your new pet because they offer discounts on cages when you put a deposit down. THESE ARE NOT REFUNDABLE. Again, they will not tell you this, and the email receipt states the items are are not refundable and does not say anything about cages. The worst part is they sold me a cage that was mostly put together which seemed great until I got it home and realized it was missing 7 of the screws needed to finish assembling it and 2 of the screws already in place were put into the frame improperly. This means I couldnt tighten them fully and cannot even remove them. So basically I can never take it apart or finish putting it together. Despite selling me a faulty cage, they still will not take it back for a refund.I have spoken with an employee and a manager with no resolution. So at the end of the day, they made $500 off of me and I have no bird and a broken cage.

This place is awesome!! I adopted a baby Turquoise Green Cheek Conure from here and they were so helpful, answered a million questions without feeling rushed! They are all very knowledgeable and there birds are gorgeous and very healthy! If I could give them 10 stars, I would! If you’re looking for an exotic bird, this is your place to go!!

If I sat here saying all the good things about Exotic Pet Birds Inc. I would be here all day and this would be a book and not a review lol. To highlight of the best points...-They make you feel like family every time you walk in the door. No matter if your showing up first thing when they open or if your rushing in before they close. They are always nice and willing to help.-They make the experience so personable. They will show you every bird they have if they have to, to find you the perfect fit for you and your family.-They also offer reptiles! They have a special area dedicated to just reptiles! My husband and I being bird and snake people...well this was just the best surprise when we found out that we could also get our reptile supplies when we got our bird food.-The staff is very knowledgeable. After we brought our Sun Conure (Jovi) home, he started to become slightly aggressive toward my husband and I. It got to the point we really didnt want to bring him out of his cage when he was showing his frustrations. We spoke with the staff at Exotic Pet Birds and we found out that our little boy was probably stressed due to it being spring and we had him eating seeds! I guess seeds can cause birds (especially male birds) to become a bit hormonal. We changed his food up with a blend they made special for Jovi from their Make your own food containers and his attitude changed drastically within just a few days!-If you buy your bird from them, you get free grooming and training for your bird! This is especially wonderful if your a first time bird owner and may be a little nervous about taking your new baby home. Knowing that you have a team of experts waiting to answer all of your questions can definitely make the experience less stressful and more fun!-They personally love and care for every bird there! Every time I take Jovi back for his grooming or even just to pick out his new toys, they treat it as it he never left! Everyone enjoys seeing how hes doing and wants to hold him and see him! Its so wonderful to be part of the Exotic Pet Birds Inc. family!The ONLY negative thing about Exotic Pet Birds Inc. is that they are located 2 hours away from me. But they are WORTH the drive! I still drive there once a month to purchase food for all my birds and I take my Jovi there when he needs his grooming or a new toys. The drive seems minimal when your going to place that you know you are welcome and can hang out for a few hours if you want to!Our journey with our Jovi started when he was only a few weeks old and they were so patient with us as we went through different sun conures until we found the perfect one. Jovi is not our first sun conure. We lost our previous Sun, Jasmine, and when we were ready to find another one, Exotic Pet Birds Inc. was only too happy to help us out and so patient with us...even though I was so indecisive! We purchased Jovi and they took good care of him until he was ready to come home. They made sure he was eating good and drinking good before they let him come home. I will say it was hard not being able to bring him home, but we got to visit him whenever we wanted and was still able to bond with him! They even do video visits! Since we live quite a distance and still wanted to see our baby, they did a video visit with us and Jovi!If you made it through this review then you are probably contemplating going to Exotic Pet Birds Inc. for your next feathery friend. All I can say is you will NOT regret it! You will not only find your perfect feathery friend, you will gain a family!

Place is great as everything you need for bird cages, food , toys and perches ,the things here are pretty pricy. some other smaller perches are 14 dollars and the larger ones are 40 dollars which is slightly more understandable to be more expensive and the toys can be pretty expensive an example there isa foraging toy that made out off a egg cart with stars and colorful peaces of paper and it was around 10 to 14 dollars i do love this place and the animals but it is pricy. this picture shows my bird is happy with the products

I have been an avid animal lover since I was very. I saw an ad on Craigslist for a hand feeder for raising baby birds. I had no idea I would meet someone who cares about animals as much as I do. Long story short, I ended up working for Exotic Pet Birds! I stayed there because I knew the owner would do whatever was best for the birds in our care no matter how much it cost. The birds well-being was the top priority! And keeping our customers satisfied and happy is a commitment this company will stand by, which is very important to us!After working for six months, I asked the owner if he could find us a baby Congo African Grey. He contacted a few of the breeder he knew and found one! We named her RayRay. RayRay was very well bred. She has the most amazing vocabulary and friendly personality. She goes camping with us 5+times a year in our RV. She adjusts to change with no problem at all. We love the free grooming and behavioral support offered by Exotic Pet Birds Inc incase we ever need them Inc too! A great Clem, bright family run business our community can count on for many years to come.I would highly recommend Exotic Pet Birds to all my friends and family!

I must say everyone at Exotic Pet Birds is truly amazing. But one really stood out today. Ryan was truly amazing. He really turned a sad and bad time for me into a brighter day. Cant wait till i can bring my quaker home.

Ryan and the rest of the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. We stopped to look at the snakes and ended up buying a bird. They were up front about the deposit not being refundable and I don’t understand why anyone would expect otherwise. They answered all of our questions and will be our shop of choice for our reptiles and birds!! Thanks!

Exotic Birds is amazing! We have been taking our love bird there for years for nail trims. If you buy an item for $20 then the trim is free...so food or a toy, or a carry all bird back pack has come in handy! We have now invested in a baby quaker bird. We are encouraged to go as often as we like to bind with baby Coco (which we named). She has a leg band on, under our name. It is so fun to visit and to see her grow. We are encouraged by Jaimee ( one of the owners, who is absolutely amazing) to bring our lovebird, Sunny, as often as we like as well to bond with Coco in a neutral space before we bring Coco home. Since we are purchasing Coco directly from Exotic birds, Coco will have free nail trims and behavioral issue training that may arise will be free for her lifetime. You cant get any better care than at Exotic Pets. They now specialize in reptiles as well. There are many enclosed bonding stations to spend time with a bird which is very special.

They sold us two birds a few years ago for over a grand, promised that they’re playful and would learn to talk very well, they ended up being very skiddish and never learned to say a single word or learn a single trick. The birds are Kakarikis and after a few google searches it confirmed the fact we were scammed. They won’t take them back and take accountability. Don’t waste your money with these people.

Exotic pet birds is a wonderful place! We brought home our colbalt Quaker Sully almost a year ago! Anytime we go in there they are friendly and helpful! Sometimes we go just to see and are offered to hold almost any bird that’s available and even the reptiles. Such a inviting store to be in

All 4 of our birds have come from Exotic Pet Birds. They have been happy, healthy, and well tempered. EPBI supports its owners and birds by providing life time grooming and support for birds purchased from them. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and clearly love all the animals there.

Exotic Pet Birds gave me a space to heal from losing my very best friend (a GCC); helped me care for my other bird and her grief. They allowed me to visit feeling so welcomed time and time again; and then introduced me to Rufio well over a year later, because they knew she was perfect for me. And she is! I went in just to look at the beautiful birds and left the happy owner of one. I was pleasantly surprised at how helpful and nice the staff has been. I love that you can visit as much as you want until your little one is ready to go home.

Forever greatful!!!!! We brought our bird in to have his wings clipped the groomer noticed he seemed off a little wobbly. She called the owner of the store back. He agreed and proceeded to check him further. He immediately got us into a vet to treat Yoda. It was a bacterial infection that we would not have the ability to notice until it was too late. He is being treated now and we hope for a full recovery. Tha kyou thankyou thankyou above and beyond from these amazing people!!!!

Well in my personal experience I got my first baby hei hei and 2 years later I still got him he is a sun conure very loveable and now Im working on a sister for him her name is Arora and she also Is a sun conure and she also is loveable cant wait to bring her home ♥️

We bought two parakeets from Exotic Pet Birds Inc. and they were amazing to work with. We drove over an hour to go to their store for our first bird and they were so knowledgeable and helpful, and the bird was hand raised by them clearly with lots of love and care. Then they helped us select a second bird a few months later. Both experiences were great and we will continue to visit them for grooming and all of our bird supplies!

My family wanted to get a couple of parakeets. We heard great reviews about this place and decided to check it out! We were greeted and helped right away. The place was so cool! So many birds to choose from. I think it was Maddie who helped us (sorry if I’m wrong) she recommended a cockatiel instead because we were looking for a bird to interact with more that likes to be held and played with. We are so glad she recommended that! She found us the perfect bird for our family! All the birds there looked so happy and healthy. They take great care of them and the store. Everything was organized and clean. They were full of knowledge and answered every question I had. My 4 year old even held the bird and fell in love! They were so patient and helpful! The bird came fully vetted, they offer help with after care too. We are just thrilled with the experience!!! We will be back for all of our bird needs

The 2 1/2 hours drive was totally with it! We spent several hours with Ryan who was so patient and knowledgeable. He helped us find our new love whos name is pickles (a pantagonian conure) I would recommend this shop to everyone and anyone whos looking to gain some knowledge about birds. I love this place! They have a huge selection of birds and toys. Their birds are healthy and socialized daily by the staff. It’s always busy, but they still find time to answer my questions and make sure my choice is correct when buying accessories for my best-feathered friend. I have had my Bare Eyed purchased from Sal for almost two years, and it’s been two years of fun with her.

I love this bird store! I am a regular visitor at the store and have a great experience every time I go. Their inventory of toys, cages, bird food and treats is second to none. There is always something new to discover there. The owners and staff are very knowledgeable and I always feel very valued as a customer. Great bird supplies and birds of many sorts. We got our little parakeet baby here & we loved that they offer training & grooming. I drive well out of my way to come to this store for my birds food, treats & toys.

They can answer any questions you may have and will help in any situation they’re able. They even reach out to the community to provide education to school groups by request! Sal and company have supported my classroom and many others in the surrounding area by providing books to students. These generous donations help build a love of learning & reading in students and provide books students can keep to create little libraries of their own at home! Our favorite stories are the ones about the birds in the shop! Truly one of the best local businesses around!

EPBI has been fantastic to work with as a first time bird owner. The team was incredibly supportive as we were making the decision on what breed would best suit our family. Everyone was able to offer a bit of insight and experience to help guide us. That strong support has also continued after we brought our Sweet Pea home! It’s been amazing working with EPBI and I highly recommend anyone with a bird or considering adding one to your family to check them out!

Great experience. Got my birds here and not only we have gotten wonderful birds but their care of these birds extends far beyond the sale. It has been over three years since we had our first bird and we are still in contact and they have helped several times to the point of probably saving the life at least of my Quaker.

I purchased a blue quaker from Jaime and sal 2 years ago, I moved out of state (rural WV) and unfortunately my buddy fell ill while I was out of town. There was no way I was going to a big chain pet store for my new bird. I talked with Maddie on the phone and she was so helpful answering all my questions regarding shipping and what they had in the nursery. When my dad went to see the birds and I was video chatting him the man he worked with was so accommodating and I ended up purchasing the most perfect green cheek. Its so nice going to a store where the workers truly know their stuff and can even play match maker. I will forever recommend and will be returning for future birds.

I had no idea this place existed until my grandson asked me if there was a place where we could go see some real birds. We were very pleasantly surprised to find not only birds, but tropical fish and snakes and lizards of all kinds! Ryan was extremely nice and gave us a tour and explained everything in detail. Every question my grandson asked he was happy to answer and even let him hold a couple of snakes and a little bird. We will definitely be going back and may even find our next new pet there.

A great experience! Very helpful and joyful people in there. They have an awesome selection from birds to reptiles, got my crested gecko from here so if your in the market to take home a new healthy pet that’s different from the big box stores or just to go to have fun and check out all the cool animals they have, definitely check them out!

I have been coming to EPBI for 3 years now. My family and I live over an hour away and when we come we make it a day trip. We bring both of our birds to get groomed and we visit with all of the beautiful birds and leisurely shop around the shop. We enjoy talking with staff because they are always kind and knowledgeable. They always answer all of my questions and help me find what I’m looking for. It’s a relaxing environment where we can explore and have FUN. EPBI is full of beautiful birds and positive vibes. 🙌 I also enjoy the Facebook lives where we are learning about birds. I am constantly learning new stuff because of your live feeds. Stopped by and didnt stay long because there was such filth all over the floors there was liquid all over and I overheard an employee say she was ready to go home and another one complaining about another employee. Staff seems not to care and the mess was just disgusting. While I was there someone bought a green cheek conure for $900. Why would you charge that much for a common bird In very much a bird person not only are they overpriced but quality is poor. They let everyone hold babies that are still being handfed and everyone in bir world knows thats a no no. They didnt even ask me to sanitize before handing me a bird. Please go up the road to birds unlimited I went there too today totally different experience. Id be surprised if birds here arent sick based on the quality.

I have nothing but great things to say about Exotic Pet Birds INC. We got our little sun conure after our first one left us. From a few weeks old, we were able to come up from PA to visit, and even video chat when we couldnt make it up here. We got to bond, and watch this little guy get bigger and bigger till he was ready to come home. Such a seamless process. When we are ready for another member of our flock, we are absolutely coming back

So friendly and affordable. The only place i will go from now on. I can’t fit my birds first trim. I bought them from Petco and thought I bought two girls. Turns out I have a boy and girl. I bought a $5 nest box and done goodies that canceled out the price of the trim. Awesome ppl work here❤️ Clean and well taken care of

I was very impressed with the store and the staff. We traveled from about 3 hours away after reading great reviews. We were not disappointed at all. We visited many baby birds and were given a tour of their entire building. Birds or Reptiles this is the place to go to.

100% 5 stars their staff are so kind and welcome you right when you walk in the door.They also were extremely helpful with any questions that I had and took extremely great care of their bird none of them were sick and they were all handled so they were very sweet. 10 out of 10 recommend this place if your looking for a bird or food, toys,cages etc.

Rewriting my opinion after speaking with the owner:He was very kind and apologetic for my bad experience with his store and he seems like he genuinely wants to help change my opinion. I thought this was very nice because businesses are usually either indifferent or defensive about a bad/aggressive review. I still cant give 5/5 yet because there WAS an employee there who treated me like dirt on the phone while I was crying over my new bird dying slowly in my arms (in 2021). And I also care about action over words. But I will give them a second chance.

THE CUSTOMER SERVICE 🙌🏼 above and beyond. Me and my kids went in there and I made it clear I couldn’t afford one at the time but we love the birds and just came for a visit and this kind lady still took the time to teach us about the birds and let us even hold one 😍🥰 she never rushed us and made us feel like we were family and like we were welcome. When most places would be like okay and walk away once they know you are not buying.

I got my green cheek conure Tiki here back in 2018 as my first ever bird. So happy I made the hour and a half drive instead of choosing a generic pet store closer. Everyone at EPBI was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and kind along with helping my 19 year old self with the financial aspect as well. I continue to tell everyone I meet who’s even considering a parrot to come here and in the future if I decide to get Tiki a brother/sister I will only ever consider a parrot from EPBI!

So here is my story. About a year ago, i started my search for a bird. I had my heart set on a yellow napped Amazon parrot. After replying to countless ads, most of which ended up being scams I decided to broaden my search outside of my area. I came across exotic pet birds on Facebook and they were about 300 miles from me.Within a day of following them, they posted a yellow nape Amazon! I thought it was too good to be true. I wrote them and within minutes they wrote me back and scheduled a video call. They wanted to make sure I was a good fit for the parrot which was so important to me to buy from a responsible seller. After dealing with so many scammers my guard was certainly up.Exotic pet birds made me feel comfortable by doing everything with a credit card (not a money transfer), doing a video call and sending me all the DNA and health records for my bird. On top of everything Lori met me half way. On her birthday!! Huge shout out to Lori!I continue to text Lori questions and updated pictures of our new baby! They have been amazing. I only wish I lived closer so I could visit their shop in person.Thank you so much!

I absolutely love this store!! The fish selection is amazing the prices you can’t beat my girlfriend and I have bought two amazing axolotls from here and they are doing amazing! The fish and live plant prices you can’t beat! The birds are amazing as well the greatest selection I also recently bought a ball python from here the prices and selection are the best around!

Very helpful staff; Informative regarding supplies, care, as well as their selection of birds and reptiles; Was a wonderful experience being around so many different snakes while being able to personally interact and hold them as well as the young/baby birds

I love going here! Even though I myself don’t have a bird, they allow you to socialize with some of the babies! It’s always clean and all the animals are very well taken care of. Not to mention, the staff are really nice and knowledgeable.

These guys are the best I have bought 3 birds from them and they are soo sweet and super loved and hand tame . I ahve used their boarding services multiple times and trust them explicitlyI will buy more birds from them in the futureIf you have questions you can ask you can go in and snuggle birds they also have so many toys and anything you might need

We got our male blue quaker Meeko there 5 years ago and the service was great! They let us meet the available birds and the called us a few weeks later with the DNA results.

Nice re-use of a building, but thats just the cherry on top. Place has all the accoutrements for birdy, as well as some nice animals on offer. Webster is VERY fortunate to have two of the best bird stores around, & this is one of them.

THEY KILLED MY BIRDWe fought with staff when visiting our bird that our bird was sick and had a respiratory issue and they brushed me off multiple times until I went to another employee and then they took him in the back to come out and tell me then they would treat him but I get a call a few days later he passed under their care of neglecting him and other birds, I’m not the first, they change birds behind peoples back as I’ve been told by workers,Fake reviews by family members and friends or promotion, extremely shady store to feel so threatened to generate 40 positive comments in 2 days for one bad review,BEWARE!!!! HORRIBLE STORE!!!Never support this store, there are tons of horror stories but they remove all the bad comments, or make new Google profiles for their business to get rid of the bad comments,

Jason and I were suppose to buy the Jenday they had, but we cant pay him off what we owe on him, Im very hurt I couldnt take home, i dont want to even think of getting an other bird i really felt with Harley he was the one for us it just hurts so much we cant have him, I will always love Harley in my heart

Fantastic staff and great owners! We purchased our blue and gold macaw and turquoise conure here. Just brought blue in to have a couple of his overgrown nails cut back further than I was willing to do on my own. Perfectly done by Ryan(which is who sold us Blue). Sal (owner) is a complete pleasure to just talk to and full of avian knowledge.

Absolutely horrible; they don’t take care of their animals, saw several sick birds, mine died in their care, and they gave me 20 excuses as for not getting a refund after promising to give one.

The service and one on one with the customer is amazing. I had never been their before and I was greeted and treated so kind. I’ve never been to a pet store with staff who care for their pets as if they are their own children. But also who treat their customers like family. Whether you’re purchasing a bird or simply visiting them, exotic birds welcome you with open arms. The love they pour into their birds really show because the babies are all so gentle and friendly. This is my happy place. If I’m having a bad day I’ll either come visit or watch along on their Facebook live videos and I immediately feel better. I haven’t been able to buy a bird as of yet but when I do I will go to none other than Exotic birds inc and I hope you do to!!

We stopped into the store on a whim and we had the BEST time! Upon walking in, we were greeted by the general manager, Ryan, who gave us an extensive tour of the 7,500-sq.-ft. store. He let us walk around with birds on our shoulders while he spent about half an hour describing the store and what types of animals they have. We didnt purchase anything on this visit but when you get such customized one-on-one treatment by a member of the staff, you can be assured we will be back!

Exotic Birds came to our school and brought in snakes, birds and an iguana. They were extremely informative and age appropriate! They truly love what they do. The children are still talking about the visit which took place months ago. We are looking forward to having them come back again! We can’t say enough good things about them!
