SUE IS THE ABSOLUTELY THE BESST!! She has helped me so much with my pup my girl would pull me and switch sides on walks it was to the point I dread going home now walks and happy and enjoyable for us both!! Can not recommend her enough!!

When we asked him about training for our sweet Cocker Spaniel mix, Sandy, who was 3 years old, our veterinarian recommended that we try Pet Time Dog Training. Sandy was rescued from a bad situation and then had a long stay in a shelter before we adopted her. Sandy was never socialized and is going blind due to PRA. People told us not to expect much from Sandy, but Sue told us she absolutely would benefit from training and would do well. Sue has been fantastic, tailoring the training to Sandys unique needs. Now 4 1/2 years old, not only has Sandy graduated from beginners class, but she now attends advanced classes where students put together the commands they have learned into combination exercises, I even take her kayaking. As Sandys sight diminishes slowly, Sue is helping us to adjust how we ask her to carry out the commands. Sue is always there for us with suggestions, praise and correction when necessary! Susan was such a great instructor. The classes are fun and informative. She gives us the tools to train our pups. We did the beginners class and it was so helpful for our crazy pup. He now listens and comes when called which is so important. Recently, he has been staying on command which is wonderful. All this and more learned in class because of Susan. My family and I have been using Susan for over 25 years. I started as a kid with my first dog in her beginner classes. 4 dogs later and I wouldnt go to anyone else. Coal and I have been going to the advanced classes for over 4 years. Susan is the best. She is a very knowledgeable trainer that puts the pet first and guides the owner through repetitious instruction which enables both the dog and owner to learn the commands. Susan also provides suggestions for how to keep your dog happy through exercise and play. Everyone that meets Coal always raves about how well he listens to my verbal and nonverbal commands. I always say the same thing, Pet Time Dog Training!

Mr. Beans and I enjoy going to Pet Time Dog Training. Mr. Beans was a little over a year when I started him at Pet Time. He didnt listen well and staying was just not part of his make-up. He did sit and down and had horrid manners. Within the first month of classes I noticed a positive change in Mr. Beans and that he had it in him to become a more lovely pet. Susan has patience, knowledge and many skills to get Mr. Beans on track to being the best dog he can. Not only are we training our dogs, we are training ourselves to be good dog owners. Susan knows exactly how to turn your dog around and get him to do what is expected of him. Did I mention she has patience? The other students and their owners in the class add to the enjoyment of the evening as well. Attending regular classes reinforces Mr. Beans and I to be the best team we can be. Pet time in West Babylon is one of the nicest training facilities I’ve been to. I did a lot of research, and spoke to many different dog training classes across Suffolk County and really wasn’t interested in what they had to offer, as well as the skyrocketing prices seemed highly unreasonable.I contacted Pet time and within two days I had a response from the owner who gave me all the information and was able to get me in for a private session 2 weeks later. My dog was very comfortable, and went in really only knowing how to sit and barely knowing what her name was. Sue, was so professional and kind, I recommend working with her to anyone who is looking for a great experience with training your pup. Since our one training lesson with Sue my pop now comes when I call Her, response to three more commands, and overall has a much more positive attitude when meeting new people. I was able to take home the tricks and techniques that Sue taught me and teach them to my family, and overall my pup is happy and obedient, and still her quirky little self.I would recommend Sue at pet time to anyone who is looking for a one on one experience With results that last.

I can’t thank sue enough, I am continuing to work with her however it’s such a wonderful experience to be around someone who not only has knowledge but takes the time to talk to you and help. She gives you all the tools you need to really try and help your dog succeed! Even though my other dog Woodstock doesn’t go to sue, she helped me with his walking and now for the first time I can walk both of my dogs !!! Being in the beginners class taught Benji and I a lot. There is great improvement shown from 6 weeks ago. keep practicing with him at home. Practice makes perfect. Susan is the best trainer weve ever met and we are so looking forward to get the advance class soon.

Sue is very knowledgeable and passionate about dog training. I have a Cane Corso puppy named Rocky and we just completed the beginners class. I’m very pleased with Rocky’s progress and can’t wait to continue with the advanced classes. I was also very impressed by Sue’s professionalism and they way she handled the social distancing precautions throughout the entirety of the course. Highly recommend!

We just finished our six week beginner training and it was worth every penny! Sue is a wonderful trainer. She is really in tune with how each breed works and has the magic touch with teaching them the ropes. If you try your best in class and do you best to practice as much as possible at home you will really see the benefits of this course. Highly recommend!

Sue is an excellent dog trainer. My dog, Guinness, and I attend her Tuesday evening class every week and we love it! She provides many effective training tools and thanks to her Guinness is very well behaved and has learned so much. We took Sue’s beginner dog training class as well as the advanced class.

This place is great!!! Sue is an amazing trainer who can help you train your fur baby whether theyre young and need to learn, misbehaved or timid with socializing with people and other dogs. I am appauled anyone would leave her ANY negative comments as her methods work; she has helped me get my unruly terror toddler to behave and listen. I have continued bringing my baby to her classes the last 4 years because he loves going to the classes and socializing and I will continue to bring my baby to her classes until his final days and recommend going to her classes. She is always informative with questions or concerns you have, has years of experience, always shows the dogs love and is a genuine pleasant person. Susan has helped our small mixed breed rescue Maeve in beginner class and now we have moved on to advanced. The first class she was cowering and barely moved. Susan was so encouraging and gave us a ton of ideas to help with her anxiety and improving her confidence. Every class we saw immense improvements and Maeve is learning so much. Susan really cares about the dogs and is highly experienced. We enthusiastically recommend Pet Time and look forward to going every week!!

My puppy and I just completed the course. Su was an absolutely amazing teacher! She explained everything so well. Even helped me find a food my dog likes (she was a picky eater). You can tell she really cares about her clients and their pets. I would absolutely recommend this dog trainer/classes to anyone!

First and foremost, the facility is very clean with constant fresh air flow. Sue, the owner and trainer, adheres to all Covid rules and regulations and implements the same of guests. It is undoubtedly Covid safe; no hesitancy or concerns at all!Sue as a trainer/dog handler is absolutely amazing. She is a consummate professional and wants the best for you and the dog. For example, even before we enrolled our 3mo old puppy, Mellow, in the beginner class and made any payment, Sue took the time to discuss with me successful (!) strategies to curb aggressive food behavior.As for the beginner class program, it far exceeded our expectations. In such a short period of time Mellow consistently follows the basic and imperative commands: Sit, Down, Stay, Off, Drop, and most importantly, Come!I highly recommend Sue as it was money well spent with a great return on investment.We will be enrolling Mellow in the advanced class program due to the tremendous value of the beginner class.Sue is without a doubt the best trainer and teaches the best program on Long Island.

We have brought five dogs to this trainer over the course of 25+ years. Sue is a great teacher and the classes are small. We learned a little bit each week, and got sheets with instructions for working with the dogs at home.

Proof that you can teach an old(er) dog new tricks! When we first brought our 2 year old rescue to Pet Time, we basically had to drag him into the building because he was so scared and timid. After just the first week, he was dragging me inside and couldnt wait for class to start. The six week course made such a difference in his confidence, focus, and overall manners and behavior. We also always felt very safe, and appreciated the precautions that Sue has in place in regards to COVID-19.

Cheerio & l really enjoyed the beginners class with Sue, that were taking the advance classes next. I find what is been taught in the training classes are very helpful. This is my second dog I am using Pet Time Dog Training for. My first dog was so well trained (as well as I learned how to work with my pet) he received invites to our friends & relatives homes. For over 25 years I have brought my past and present pups to Sue at Pet Time. And I know I will continue to use Sue for my future pups also. We recently have attended free concerts on the bay in Bellport with our 2 pups Caley (10 years) and Mollie (4 months) and have continuously been told how well behaved they both are. I thank Sue for that. As her motto goes “Life with your dog should be fun”.

Sue is as enthusiastic as she is knowledgeable. She makes it fun for the the dogs and the pet owners. This is my second time around with our new pit mix.

My sister brought her wild puppy to Sue for help; he was adopted at 4 weeks and by 3 months she was on the verge of giving him up as his wild aggressive behavior was getting too much to handle and the fear of him hurting someone grew exponentially. After neutering at 6 months his aggression was no better. After a few classes his behavior changed so positively it was amazing. He was listening and so much less agressive. Now hes just a rough and tumble boy who we couldnt imagine not having as part of our family. Such a sweet guy who we have no fear of ever hurting anyone. I dont know much about training so whether the methods are outdated or not is irrelevant because they work. The trainer helped tame this aggressive boy and helped keep him in his forever home. Once I adopt I definitely plan to bring them here for training based on the results Ive seen. Dont let one bitter, probably spiteful, comment bring you down. Ive seen the incredible results and have heard nothing but wonderful praise from my sister; I felt compelled to comment. You keep doing what you do; you are a great teacher.

Sue is a wonderful teacher for the dogs and their human parents. The obedience she teaches makes life with your dog just so much better

Susan was an amazing instructor and obviously loves and cares about doggies! She was so kind to our Emmie and our little 6 month old now follows commands and actually listens to us! in addition to puppy training, Susan also gave us insight on many other matters such as chewing, excessive barking, anxiety and house training. we highly recommend! and we LOVE Derek too!

We just finished training with our mini dachshund Stella. We enjoyed the training classes so much and Sue is amazing. We cant wait to continue to the advanced class, we loved it so much!

Would never recommend her. She uses out dated material and advocates spraying bitter apple directly into a dogs mouth!! YOURE NOT SUPPOSED TO DO THAT, IT EVEN SAYS IT ON THE BOTTLE!!

Sue has helped us take a wild and crazy puppy and turn her into the most loving, devoted and obedient dog we have ever owned. Our dog loves classes so much we have never stopped going. Once she sees her treat bag she knows her day has just gotten a lot more fun. Sue trains with all positive reenforcement and it shows. We can’t get to the door fast enough for our dog. She knows exactly where she’s going and can’t wait to get there. When we travel we take our dog with us. She is perfectly behaved & is welcome everywhere we go. Can’t say enough good things about Sue & her training techniques.Definitely a learning experience for your dog as well as yourself.

I was recommended by my Vet to get behavioral training for my new puppy Cooper. He had a biting problem. Working with Susan is a blessing. Now my puppy finished the beginner class and enjoyed it. He loves Susan and meeting other dogs. He learned so much and is continuing to listen. His biting is calming down and he’s only 4 months old. Now my puppy Cooper will be attending the advanced training class.Lots of practice and time must be put into teaching your dog.
