Had a great experience here! Previous groomer said he was too difficult but he had no issues here. I told them about all his little quirks and they made him feel welcome and safe. He didnt even ignore me or side eye me after his session which is rare for a Yorkie! Will definitely be back next time Im in Long Island.

After having a previous grooming gone bad, I came across Alex and Sarah. They are kind, caring and professional. They did exactly what I asked for and did not skip on anything. I am very pleased that I finally found a groomer that will take good care of my fur baby

They do an amazing job with both of my fur babies! Very friendly staff and they really listen and make sure your babies get pampered! They are the only groomers I use now!

This was our cats first time getting groomed. Every step of the process from picking to pick up and drop off was seamless. They made our cats feel welcome and comfortable with it being their first time. They both came home with cute little bow ties, smelling amazing, along with a maintainable cut. There are not enough great things to say about Grooming By Alex and Sarah. Alex has been grooming my dog since his first haircut more than 13 years ago. Their doggie ‘spa’ is a very welcoming and happy place where you can be assured your pup will be happy and well taken care of. My dog has bad knees and is anxious and Alex takes extra special care of him. I feel very comfortable when I drop him off because I know he’s in the best hands. And the haircuts are amazing! Alex and Sarah have been grooming our Bernedoodle for 6 years! They are the best of the best! With the biggest hearts! The entire staff is professional, accommodating and knowledgeable! Our pup comes home happy, beautiful, smelling fresh and feeling clean! We have peace of mind knowing she’s in good hands when she’s at her monthly grooming appt. I highly recommend!

Grooming by Alex and Sarah is a wonderful place ! They did an amazing job on our dog, Nugget! We rescued him about a month ago and have been hesitant to bring him anywhere until we got to know him better and they were absolutely fantastic with him!I will definitely be bringing him back there in the future. We had an amazing grooming experience here! Alex was wonderful and did an amazing job grooming our puppy Moose for his first time. The young women at the front desk was also very pleasant and great with our dog. We will definitely be back!

Alex has been grooming my Mini Aussiedoodle since she was 6 months old. I eagerly followed her to her new salon. Alex is a dog whisperer! She is loving and patient, and my dog always leaves looking and smelling her best. Sarah has also groomed my pup, and I highly recommend her as well. The new location is absolutely beautiful. Alex is amazing! She is extremely gifted and professional with my Pomeranian-poodle and she grooms cats too (which is hard to find on Long Island)! I always get so many compliments after Milo is groomed by Alex. She has been an expert in her career for many years and is so kindhearted to all animals as if they were her own. Her prices are very affordable, scheduling is a breeze and I recommend her to all of my friends’ and families’ pets. Alex is very knowledgeable about both dogs and cats ranging from their breed personalities to their fur/hair growth, and will always offer her best advice!

As a first time puppy owner, finding a grooming place that knows what they’re doing is a blessing. The process usually takes about 4 hours, so worth it. They’re so nice and welcoming, they call about 20 mins before they’re done which is great. Alex is amazing, she has true talent when it comes to grooming, will definitely continue to come here where I know a good job is done and my puppy is well taken care of ❤️ Thank you Alex and Staff !!! Definitely recommend this place to ANYONE!

I am so thrilled to have found such wonderful groomers! Love the shop, very clean and decorated beautifully. The staff is great, everyone is super friendly and helpful. My pup loves going there, they do a fantastic job every time. The staff is so loving and warm towards my dog, its a relief to know hes in great hands with people that truly care. Sarah groomed our dog Saige for the first time and did a phenomenal job. He was not in the best shape post surgery but the groomers here turned him into a total stud. Saige is difficult with grooming yet Sarah was able to accomplish this and did exactly what we asked. highly recommend!

Very friendly people, but I wish they had given me a disclaimer about the after effects a cat can experience from their first time getting groomed. I was supposed to fly home two days after the appointment (which I mentioned at the time of booking) but unfortunately had to cancel my flight with obscene fees for last minute changes due to my cat’s concerning behavior. She came home very traumatized and had wounds on her ear and chest.Edited to add: My intentions are not to badmouth the business, but to simply share my experience. I did call to ask about her behavior after the appointment, but a disclaimer at the time of booking or even when I came to drop her off would’ve been appreciated. As you can clearly see in the picture, she is missing a chunk of hair and skin which could’ve only been a result of getting caught in a clipper. My cat has been staying in NY with my parents for the past 1.5 years and never had a problem with where she is staying, who she is staying with, or the other cat.

If you are looking for a master groomer who truly loves the pups and makes them look spectacular, look no further! What a wonderful place and Alex, Sarah and resident pup Puppy couldn’t be nicer. All the staff was upbeat and obviously love what they do! Maggie and I can’t recommend them enough. Your pup will be grateful you took them there!!💕🐶

Alex has been grooming my dog and my family’s dogs for years. You will not find a more experienced, caring, quality groomer that is knowledgeable about all aspects of your pet than her. Extremely happy and satisfied with the grooming my baby had by Sarah. It was my first time taking my baby to Alex and Sarah and I couldn’t be more happy. They were very accommodating since it was his first time and I was so worried for him because he is such a mommy boy but let me say when he was finished he was so happy. Alex and Sarah will definitely be his new groomers.. and the feeling you get when your there it’s just very warm and inviting. I must say the staff and Sarah was very professional. Alex is by far the best groomer I ever had! She treats my dogs like they are her own. Every hair cut is always perfect! I am constantly getting compliments and questioned who my groomer is. I trust her with my babies!

I have a 12 year old King Charles x Poodle x Maltese that suffers from chronic skin infections that results in uncomfortable scabs. I brought him to Alex & Sarah - he has never left a groomer looking more cute and stress free. He was happy to be there and relaxed when I picked him up. Chance will be visiting again! Thank you for being attentive to his needs.

If your dog is 40 pounds or more I do not recommend you bring them there.My dog was there for six hours and they didnt do anything. Complete waste of time.

Alex & Sarah do a great job at grooming my Shiba Inu, Paddington !! Every experience Ive had here has been an extremely positive experience. Pads is always so happy to see everyone, and everyone is always so happy to see him! Their overwhelming kindness, and their attention to detail is truly what makes bringing Paddington to Alex & Sarah a worthwhile experience and a 10/10 recommendation! Best on Long Island, by a long shot!

We had both our dogs there today for the 1st time. We have a pitbull and a frenchie. Our frenchie struggles with breathing (we did the BOAS surgery in March and it was a waste of money). She ended up having one of her breathing fits.. and this time it was life threatening. They called me right away very concerned and I was 1 minute away. I took her and went straight to the vet. They kept the pitbull till my husband could get her, WOULD NOT LET HIM PAY, and were just amazing through the whole thing. The frenchie is fine, thank goodness and we are so thankful for all their help. And of course... they did a great job with their grooming!!!The frenchie is not allowed to leave the house anymore, but we will most certainly bring the pit there regularly!!Thank you ladies. Always a great experience. Alex is meticulous and detailed. You can tell she absolutely loves the animals and her job. Our dog always comes home looking brand new without one hair out of place and happy.

Alex is the best, caring, professional, groomer. She always makes time for us . Charlie is a labor doodle most of the time has knots she takes her time and patience. I recommend her to every type of dog, she is so careful no cuts ever. My doggie Charlie luvs going to her it’s like he knows he comes out handsome. I travel all the way from Brooklyn to see Alex. She is worth a lot more than what she charges too. She never lets me down always super excited to see what Charlie will like . Alex has never disappointed us. She is friendly, reliable, and professional. She treats our dog Haley as if she were her own. Whenever I drop Haley off she is greeted with kisses, when I pick her up she is happy, and looks and smells amazing!! I would definitely recommend using Groomimg by Alex.

They listen to me each time when I give them a request for what I want them to do. My dogs are very comfortable and thats very important when bringing them to get groomed. They are both are so sweet and are very skilled in grooming pups! I can’t say enough great things about Alex & Sarah, they are truly amazing in what they do! My furbaby Buddy had trauma from a prior groomer experience and I found myself grooming him myself as he was petrified of everywhere else. Then we found Alex. She was amazing with my dog and he was immediately comfortable and from that point on which has been 13 years, he has been an Alex only dog. Unfortunately we had to say goodbye this past November at 16 years old and the first person I told was Alex. Over the past 13 years, she has been more than our groomer, I would call her family.

Alex has been grooming my baby Bailey for many many years and I would never use or trust anyone else with my boy! She’s not only very professional, she’s a sweetheart with a heart of gold!! My boy loves his Tia too!!

We have always owned Mini Schnauzers, and their grooming is very important. The only groomer we allow to cut their hair is Alex or Sara.

After trying 6 different groomers for my Miniature Schnauzer, Sarah is Home for Maui! He always looks dapper, it even grows out nicely & he loves her! He always leaves happy!

This place is amazing! I bring my Rottweiler for her baths and she stays bright and shiny for up 6-8 weeks! Alex and Sarah and their staff are extremely professional and knowledgeable, they had great patience with both of my dogs. I was searching for a place to bring my rottweiler puppy and after calling a couple of places I knew this was the one. You want to bring a young dog to a new place to have a good experience, and this one was above and beyond. I also started bringing my Staffordshire Bull Terrier because they do such an amazing job and I thought it was worth every penny. The salon is squeaky clean and smells better than my house lol Im a very experienced dog owner as well as having worked in the dog industry and I highly recommend this place, they are top-notch!

Alex is wonderful! She’s been taking care of our dogs’ grooming for years. We have a highly anxious yorkipoo and Alex is the only groomer he will go to. We had a chihuahua who passed away several years ago who was also very nervous getting her nails clipped. Alex used to wrap her like a baby and sing to her to calm her down. We love Alex and our dogs do too!

My dog never really liked getting genomes until we started using Alex!! She’s great and so kind. She loves what she does and it shows!
