The park is astroturf which is nice for your shoes and year round green. But the other dog owners allow their aggressive animals run free. It’s a shame because the space is wide and appears fun for the dogs to run. Unless you have Cujo, I’d recommend a different place.
My dog Groovy loves this park with all his heart he goes everyday and especially loves it in the summer time because we bring a kiddie pool for the dogs to swim in. He has a whole group of friends and everyone there is very friendly and responsible with their fur babies i love it here and so does groovy
This park has been kept clean all the dogs and the owners are very very friendly My Golden Doodle loves it there you make new friends all the time
Of all the dog parks i go to this is generally one of the busier ones. I was there three times this week and it has always been clean and calm for both the owners and dogs. There’s fresh water for the dogs to drink and fill the kiddie pool for them to cool off
Reopened as of 4/23/22 - this dog park is now turfed. It has small benches for seating and a small shaded section. Split into a big dog and small dog section, the space is a great upgrade for dog owners and their pups. Note, the big dog section does not have much shade aside from the little structure that was built as part of the renovation. The small dog side has a large tree that casts nice shade.
Friendly and clean. Lots of fur babies come and go. One thing I would suggest for the small park is more shade cover. Being your own chair as their are not many to sit on.
We tried this park for the first time today. It is so well maintained and has shade, turf, and KIDDIE POOLS that my puppy actually used! I deduct a star for the owners there on a Sunday evening. So many aggressive, growling and defensive dogs in the small dog section hiding under their owners chairs and nearly attacking my dog if she came anywhere near them while running and playing. Of course they have checked out owners who think this is fine, but we had to leave because of a dog who suddenly emerged from under the owner to chase and growl and try to corner my dog.We also saw multiple men yanking and yelling at their dogs walking up to the park. And you wonder how those dogs become so reactive. We will maybe try a less busy time of day.
The dog park is separated into two areas one for the big dogs and the other side for the little dogs. Theres lots of grass so do my worry about what you see in the pictures. Theres always a place were you can sit down and watch your dogs have fun, the people are nice and the dogs are so sweet. Your dogs will always find someone to play with and you will always find someone to talk to 😊.
My dog isn’t as social as she could be but the people and other dogs were awesome. They separate small dogs (
Well they got rid of the dirt. And in its place we have super hot turf, no benches in the shade, and static on a dry day from the plastic grass. The turf feels like an oven in the sun. Typical government work unfortunately. But hey all the politicians have nice big signs with their names.
Just moved to Long Island and I honestly love this dog park. For bigger dogs, the larger dog run is huge! And glad to see a lot of it was grass and there were not wood chips. There are complementary doggie bags, a hose with drinking bowls and a small pool for dogs to bathe or lie in. Landscaping crew was outside working on the grass which was nice to see. There are some toys and balls and stuff left inside in case you forget to bring.
Nice dog park, but it seemed to smell of urine when I was there last. Maybe a good anti bacterial wash down would be good.
They fixed up the park very nicely, small dog area separate from large dogs, great idea
The park is split in two with a side for large dogs and a side for small dogs. The groundcover is turf and the park is fairly clean. In the warmer months there is a hose spigot for fresh water. There is limited seating, so you may want to bring a folding chair if youre going to stay a while. Theres no public bathrooms, but there is a port-a-potty next to the park. In summer, the large dog section gets blasted by the sun, its best to come in early morning or late afternoon. There are usually some toys and tennis balls around the park, but if you want to bring your own toys, its ok. The dogs that show up are usually friendly, the people are laid back and not too fussy about dogs playing or chasing eachother. Overall, a nice local dog park in a quiet park of Eisenhower Park.
Very clean. Everyone friendly. Absolutely nice park
Deasent size dog run. I like that there is a separation between the one for small dogs and larger size, that way you can trully enjoy your dog having fun. Im my experience the other dog owners that go there are pretty friendly and so are their dogs
Good, friendly park. Lots of small and big dogs. Separated by fence. Bring a chair.
The dog park here has gotten so much better!! The pet turf is wonderful and keeps the dogs from getting cover in dirt. There is also fresh water available, along with a little pool and toys. My pup had a blast.
My favorite kind of dog park; one with a LOT of open space. My pup is a speedy one, and he needs distance to tire himself out. No real trouble with other dogs. Every dog had an attentive owner, both behaviorally and waste removal!
Nice lil park set aside, remember the main of Eisenhower Park is no dogs
My dog loves this park. The owners are really nice and the dogs are very well behaved. They all play with each other and there is no aggressive behavior. Its a great place to bring your puppies to get them acclimated to playing with other dogs.
Been here a couple of times. One of the cleaner dog parks Ive been to. All the dogs were well behaved and the owners were attentive and friendly.
The park was clean and spacious. Although there werent many dogs that day my baby met a few friends They played well together. The fur parents were friendly and engaged keeping everyone safe
I look for three things in a great dog park:1) lot of space for the dogs2) separate big and small dog areas3) artificial turf so I can see dog poop clearly from a distance and not have to constantly scan the ground as I walk. The Eisenhower Dog Park is fantastic.
They just recently renovated both of the entire dog park areas. There is all new fencing, new astroturf, benches and more. Someone kindly donated a small blue baby pool on each side and a bunch of dog toys and balls. There is running water on each side also. The dogs really love this place.
Theres always a place were you can sit down and watch your dogs have fun, the people are nice and the dogs are so sweet.
Great dog park! It’s nice and big but not too big where you loose track of your dog. It’s mostly packed down dirt so just don’t go after it’s rained. Otherwise it’s a great dog park with friendly people. The only issue I run into is that much fewer people go in the winter and sometime I end up there alone, which sucks as I have a husky who lives for the winter.
Lots of dogs for my dog to play with. Everything a dog could want.
This place has great parking and its super clean. The bike path is accessible as well. A nice point of entry into Eisenhower Park.
Today was our first day at this dog park. I have a 8 month old Belgian Malinois who we recently adopted and wanted to get her socialized because shes somewhat shy. The space is great for large dogs and there is a separate fenced in area for smaller dogs. It was a little muddy in certain areas today, because like other reviews have mentioned the park consists of packed dirt as opposed to grassy areas. The other owners were very friendly and welcoming. There were about 4 large dogs there at the time and Roo got knocked around a bit, which was all in good canine fun. Just before we left, she started coming out of her shell a bit more. Had it been a bit warmer outside we would have stayed longer. Shes passed out on the living room floor now. There are no bathroom for owners and although there are trash receptacles, no additional doggie bags (most owners bring their own anyway). There are a few benches and chairs scattered about for seating. It would be nice to add a picnic table and a port-o-potty for owners. I also didnt see a working water fountain for the dogs (may be turned off because of winter). Overall, we had a positive first experience and look forward to returning.
There were two dog runs, one big and one small. There were dog bowls and a water hose which was super convenient. Both runs were well maintained and safe for our animal. There was also a variety of benches for parents to sit on. Will definitely visit again.
I discovered this dog park during a walk in Eisenhower Park recently. It is near the golf . There are two sections, one for larger and one for smaller sized dogs. The dogs seemed to be having a wonderful time as did their owners. There Are Rules listed on the fence before you go in. It appears to be a great place to take your dog, I certainly enjoyed watching them.
So many dogs. Very clean. Very pleasant.
My dog is pretty small weighing less than 30 pounds, but I still find that he is too big and active for the small dog section where people have looked down upon me for bringing him there. But in the large dog section my dog has made tons of friends and the people have all been very pleasant that I have met.
Our dog loves it here. He gets to enjoy playing with other dogs and I get to run around the park which is a hair over 6miles.
Large space, divided into small and large dog spaces. The County has vastly improved the parking, including handicap spots. In general the people and dogs are all friendly and cooperative. Of course there is a rude percentage who dont clean up. Waterbis available but bring your own dog bags. Of course there areMy only pet peeve, we were promised a real people toilet which has never appeared.
Nice dog park. My dog had fun
Beautiful park, very friendly dogs and owners.
Not really friendly. Bring your own bags. There is insufficient grass so be prepared to bath your dogs feet. No tables for picnics or coffee. The people are lovely but the park needs some love.
Nice big open space. They have a big dog run and a run for smaller dogs. So far, everyone watches their dogs and is friendly. I dislike when I go to dog parks and owners are on the phone not watching how their dog is interacting. So far, everyone really watches their dogs and they have so much fun
The dog areas are large and keep the small and large dogs separate via fences with double gates to prevent escape! Parking is very convenient and is at the intersection of Stewart Ave and Salisbury Park Drive in Westbury / Salisbury. There is usually a few pots available even on weekends. Water and poop bags are supplied.
I am glad that they split the park into large and small. My dog is 4lbs and loves being with her little friends. I find the owners here to be so nice and welcoming to new people.
Cool dog park! I just think there needs to be more doggy pools and water fountains! maybe some more shade as well for the small dog area.
Great place for my 2 dogs.Pros: Sunny, astroturfed field, 90% of the time there are poop bags, running water, two sides over 30lbs and under 30lbs, people are generally good attentive owners.Cons: almost no shade, only bathroom is a porta-potty,
“Dobby is free!”
Went to the dog park today. I know everybodys taxes went up along with everything. Why wasnt more benches added? Why was the big dog part not extended past the tree that was cut down? There is no shade for them.
The best one of Long Island !! Is always a good vibe , doggies loves it
It’s a little dusty so my white maltese’s fur gets dirty easily here but she still has a blast here!! she’s very outgoing and i love how happy she is when i bring her here. my maltese always makes friends. i also bring my rhodesian ridgeback mix who is scared of almost everything.. bringing her here is a great opportunity for her to open up to other dogs/humans and become more trusting! so glad this dog park is close to home! i like how there is a water fountain made for dogs 👍🏾
I love this dog park the people are very nice the dogs Are having the time of their life my 14 months old Siberian husky Wenter loves coming here she gets so excited to come and see her friends 💕
Nice park, big tree for shade. Most of the people there are nice and considerate and knowledgeable of pet behavior. Water for the dogs is available and porta- potty for humans.
The best dog park in central Nassau.
What can I say? Great place for all sized dogs and their owners. I would consider expanding the seating area for the owners but overall, good spot to socialize your dog with other dogs.
Friendly park. Has two sections for large and med/small dogs. Each has a water spicket. Running area is mix of grass and sand/dirt. Also has a few benches for seating.
First time there loved it dogs loved it
Very nice park! They have an area for dogs 30 lbs and under and an area for bigger dogs.. everyone was friendly and all the dogs played!
Crowded. Only a couple of benches, which were occupied. Next to a gigantic park yet the dog park is small with turf. No climbing structures, no actual trees or paths.
It’s such a great place, my dog is 26 pounds but he fits perfectly for the large dog size and it’s a really huge compared to the small section. So far I’ve met friendly dogs
Great place, they have a lot of tennis balls and water bowls and places to sit/park. But its all dirt and no grass and can get very muddy or dusty
I love this dog park, everyone is so nice and there’s always dogs there!!
Amazing place. They did a wonderful job updateing the dog park. I only wish the dogs has access to the water park
Clean and well maintained. Even had a little kiddie pool for the doggos to splash around in
Not always kept super clean, but it has plenty of space with a place for them to drink water and the dogs totally love it.
Everyone is so friendly amd welcoming! I just wish there were some more clean toys available for the dogs to play with.
Great place to bring your dog but the Park is big have many different options even a restaurant come and explore for yourself.
Plenty of room . Decent setup. They keep big dogs and small dogs separate. All gated with double gats to minimize escape
The pictures are old, now has an astroturf base, a couple of benches (one covered) and a water spout. My dogs love it!
Great after recent renovations, love the turf, always friendly people and pups when we visit
Nice park. Very basic not very big. But my dog still enjoyed it.
The white course is in great condition the greens still need to recover from aeration
Nice park, dog owners keep it cleaner then the parks department. Next to great walking trail.
I appreciate a place to bring my pup. However the grass was too high could use a cut. Thank you.
It a great park for dogs. It has running water, two sides for the size of your dog, CLEAN, and sitting area for humans.
Its a bit dusty, but a nice dog park anyways. Its great that its fully fenced and quite large.
Very large area for larger dogs. Friendly atmosphere. Very few dog fights, no owner fights so far
Used to be a nicer dog park. No one cleans up after their dogs and some owners have no control over their aggressive dogs
Very nice dog park. I usually go to the massapequa dog park, but I prefer the layout and location of this one.
There is really no shade for you to sit. The water was not on when we went mid-May.
My boyfriend and I took my dog Jessie here for the 1st time today & she had LOTS of fun making new friends! 💗🐶🐶
My dog loves this park. Friendly dogs and people, Summer time is the best though!
Dog park is great, the trail for dog is only a mile long and public safety is pretty strict about where the dogs can and cannot be
I went with friends and it was so nice seeing all the different dogs. Brought back happy memories!
Prefer the older, bigger park with grass & dirt. Not a fan of turf
Excellent place to bring your pets they provide 2 separate side for large and small pets sizes
All the dog parents are very friendly and the dogs are well behaved , both large and small runs !
Well taken care of. People are respectful of the rules and there were plenty of dogs for ours to play with.
I love going here with my dog. Everyone is so nice and I love that everything is new.
Nice park and nice people. Wish they had maintained the original size.
I liked it better when it was dirt & bigger. Im not a fan of fake (astroturf-type)
They upgraded the dog park. Astro turf. Parking is exellent.
Big open space, nice room for running, plenty of dogs for your pet to play with.
Definitely could use some updating. Also most of the Grass was dead or not there 95% dirt .
Very nice park nice people go there. Its primarily dirt so there may be mud and dust.
Nicely enclosed play area. Our Puppy loved meeting other dogs.
Its really dirty. On a dry day the dogs kick up a lot of dirt. On a wet day they get muddy. Other than that its alright.
Funny to watch these frisky guys. Looked well maintained. Good group of people caring about their dogs.
Excelent plenty of space to run friendly and small dogs separated from bigger dogs.
Very nice and clean dog park.
Great people and nice space to socialize your dog safely with other doggos
Nice park. Good people. Too much dirt, not enough grass.
Great spacious park but needs grooming and grass.
Great place for doggies, just make sure it didnt recently rain or youre in for a muddy doggo.
The dogs love it. They frolic they.dance and some even choose to prance.dogs love it here. I guarantee it
Nice doggie playground! Spacious and good about of benches to sit.
Lovely dog park for all dog sizes.
This park needs a lot of work. Dogs leave filthy! Very unkept
They have 2 different area for dogs under 30lbs and dogs over 30lbs.
Great park, great community.
Nice community, friendly dogs
It needs to be cleaned, have better drainage and fix the gate locks
Great but needs more benches and over head from sun
Love the park, and it looks bettet, it needed some updating. Thank you.
Not bad as dog parks go...some owners fail to stick to the weight guidelines and bring their giant dogs into the less than 20 lb enclosure
Very nice park for our doggies :)
The park is beautiful there’s no dirt just grass and cement which is perfect there are benches for humans and enough space for my dog to run it’s nice and clean and everyone is friendly There’s also a little pool for the dogs we will definitely be coming back here
Big open field, mostly dirt. People are friendly and courteous.
Nicely maintained. Lots of cool doggie people.
I love coming to Eisenhower Dog Park with my dog. The dogs (and their owners) are always so friendly. They have two dog runs- one for larger dogs and another for smaller dogs, which is great because small dogs should be allowed to have some fun too! Id rather come farther and come here than go to Christopher Morley Park because they only have one dog run (and only larger dogs come in for the most part). Its very clean and they have water spouts for the dogs as well as toys and bowls.
My dog loves it here, pretty good size field for the big dogs. Separate area for dogs under 30 lbs. So far we havent had any problems with other dogs, and people are friendly enough. Seems like people are pretty good about cleaning up after their dogs. Does get muddy when wet, so wear boots.
Looks like a nice park. I like that theres a separate area for little dogs and big dogs. It was getting dark and rainy when I was here so its hard to give a full evaluation but Im thinking on a better day this would be quite a nice park. I like that there was an overhang to stand under in case the weather was bad your dog could play but you could stay dry. Will definitely come back for another visit in better weather.
Dog park was great. My dog loved it
Nice place to relax and bring your dog 🐕Everyone here is very respectful and dogs get along the time that I was there. it was a great time with no problems.
I love it and do did bam bam great people too
Was here in 2019 and it was dirty. Some owners allowed their overly rambunctious dogs to jump on other dogs and even mount them. Id have to say the owners are the biggest problem. My dog is a big female Lab and keeps to herself until this on owners dog kept annoying her to where she couldnt run around and stayed by my side. We had words and this dumb clueless owners answer was that his dog is only being a dog. Anyway it was a mess, water bowls shouldnt be out for all dogs, we all can bring our own and there were plenty of dog presents left not picked up. I hope they fixed these problems because our dogs deserve better conditions and remove the clueless owners.
My fur babies love this park!🐕🐶🐾👍
So fun to see the dogs play together and get exercise!
Fun place.....safe environment for your furry friends
Its kept clean and everyone is usually friendly.
Wide open for dogs to run but no ramps or tubes
Took a power walk around lake with big sis
Great dog part, separated into two sections for larger dogs and smaller dogs. Theres a lot of ample space to play. They do provide some toys and bags for poop cleaning.
The dog run itself was clean and spacious but the dogs there played too rough and their owners didn’t intervene (nor were any of them wearing masks).
What dog park?, I thought it was the 1st tee on the white course.
Pretty good. Astroturf helps a lot!
Nice dog park with good crowd of people/dogs that come.
A very nice place for my Sasha to enjoy🐕🐶
Large fun space great dogs and people
A park for dog to be free
Very nice place. my relatives arranged a summer party. Enjoyed a lot.
Great dog park & great owners... The pup and I head here atleast 3 times a week
Nice open area. Owners just need to obey rules.

Muddy + Stinky = Not Again. Well its close to the house,, so maybe. But probably not. But maybe.
