Spaw Pet Salon of Westbury

I wouldnt have made this post if my dog Austin didnt come back with a bleeding cut on the back of his leg and is still crying. After we picked up austin from the salon Saturday, he was whining and licking his leg when we got home. After checking his leg we saw he was bleeding a bit and my cousin immediately called the salon, a man picked up the phone and we told him we found austin cut. You would think any other groomers would apologize for the mistake and the fact they hurt a dog under their care, but they did not apologize or act professional during the phone call. The man on the phone kept deflecting saying that he did not hear anything whine or yelp when they were cutting Austins hair. Which obviously couldnt have been true considering theres a whole patch missing. The man just essentially said guess you wont be coming back here again?. He has been getting knicks in his body here and there after every grooming and we were wondering why and tried to give the benefit of the doubt. But it makes sense to me, because my dog was really scared this time when I brought him, he didnt even want to stay in the shop and he was never like that before. We thought that maybe he walked on something and was bothered. I dont know if they are under new management now, but we will NEVER come back here again. Would rather find a new spot that actually cares about my dog under their care. My dog was crying again while we had to clean his cut today. Very disappointed on the way this was handled. Never again.(The picture is after we cleaned it up)

Kelly is the best! The grooming is wonderful and Grayson loves her. Zach is always good for a joke or two. Fun place

Excellent caring groomers. Dogs are not caged while waiting.My Bernedoodle loves being doted on at Spaw in Westbury for the last several years. Its so nice to see all the doggy clients roaming around in the grooming area which is safely contained. They are especially cute wearing the bandanas they get after being groomed and standing together while waiting to be picked up by their owners. Kelly and staff do an outstanding job.

Wonderful group and they really take care of your pet. Whatever your requests or restrictions regarding your pet, they adhere to it. My dog always leaves there looking and smelling great!

Such a great groomer. The facility is always clean, the staff is always nice and welcoming. Kelly is absolutely amazing; her grooms are precise and clean. I have tried many groomers and wasnt very pleased with their work. Once Kellys magic hands touched my Miniature Schnauzer Jarvis, I was hooked. You will love the service and so will your fur baby. FYI, because the groomers are so well loved, appointments book up quickly, so book your appointment far ahead. Oh, I almost forgot the best part...they are a cage free groomer 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

I am from out of town and looking for a groomer in and around Westbury. I am very icky picky as to who grooms my dogs . Just looking online at your website and seeing how nicely all the dogs were groomed, plus how happy they looked socializing , I decided that this was the place I was taking her to be pampered.The reviews from your clients were really impressive, ( I read every one of them) and that says alot for your establishment. Plus the salon was located right down the street from my hotel, a hop, skip and a jump, so that for me was a no brainer.Now for this to happen, I have to get an appointment, and that would really make my day.

Our first time. We found a new stylist!! Beyond happy. When they called to tell us Cooper was very matted and would need to be buzzed very short we were nervous because he gets very depressed when his cut is too short, but reluctantly agreed. Then we picked up our baby. He was all smiles and wagging tail. Not a trace of his usual anxiety. And he look AMAZING!!! Like a show dog. Great Job Spaw Salon and thank you.

Absolutely the best! Besides my puppy receiving the perfect grooming, he also got to spend a few hours socializing with the other doggies who were either waiting to be picked up after their grooming, or were waiting for their turn. In all my years of pet ownership I have never encountered an environment like Spaw. The fact that my puppy just leaps into the groomers arms says it all....

Spaw continues to be an excellent pet salon. My wife and I have used this location for both of our poodles for a long time. Kim does a fantastic job!

This is on behalf of Butchie... I love this place. The staff is great and always plays with me. They cut my nails and wash my fur, I feel great when I leave... like the Lion after he visits The Emerald City. Five paws... Im a dog give me a break with the math.

This is the place to go! We have two small dogs, one of them is not very easy to work with when being groomed. They do a great job taking care of the dogs.

I love this place. The groomers really love the dogs here. A cage free groomer. They treat the dogs as if they were their own. You can really feel the love here. I highly recommend this groomer.

Amazing grooming shop. Staff is very knowledgeable and they do a fantastic job. They use natural, top of the line grooming and pet hygiene products as well. Owner operated.

I have a particularly difficult to groom dog, some places won’t even work on her. Kim and Kelly at Spaw were understanding and do a great job with her.

Kelly Kim and Patrik are amazing! I have been taking my Pomeranian since February every single month and never has she come back with any issues. There are no cages and the staff are always taking care of any dogs that they have in their business. I highly would recommend this place to anyone who has a dog that needs grooming!
