Michael is the most incredible dog trainer ever. His patience and demeanor with both my dog and us has made training our dog a very positive experience. Our Scarlett was a difficult dog and my husband and I were extremely frustrated, to the point we thought we made a mistake in getting her. However, with Michael’s guidance Scarlett is now a pleasure. In addition, when I had any questions or concerns, all I had to do was text or call him and he would respond quickly. I honestly can’t stress what a difference Michael’s training has made in our dog and in our lives with her.

Mike from One Companion is amazing. We adopted a shepherd mix at around 3 months old and her name is Abby. Although my husband and I had dogs growing up and had our own family dog with our son, we all decided to get Abby the best possible training to help walk her properly, and to learn all of the basic commands because she has a very high drive and lots of energy. At around 4 months old we started working with Mike and we accomplished our goals so quickly, only after a few sessions. My girl learned instantly with him and she walks right by my side and listens to all of my commands. I have never been so comfortable walking a dog! I let Mike know some of my concerns along the way and he put me at ease at all times. Abby has made so much progress and we will continue to use his techniques everyday to give Abby the best home possible. He is so thorough and professional and seems like a wonderful human being. We highly recommend him and Abby just loved him.

One Companion has helped us in so many ways. Our pup Bella was rescued from Aruba by our son. She came to us very skittish and afraid of everything from cars to other dogs. She had great difficulty with even wanting to walk on the leash. Mike came in and on day one had her listening and responding to simple commands. On day two she was walking comfortably on the leash. After that we moved on to basic obedience and even some advanced work. My wife and I are so impressed with One Companion and how Mike creates an individual plan for each animal. He’s extremely patient with dog and owner alike and it’s easy to see that he loves what he does. My family is so grateful for all that he has done by helping Bella become not only a listening and responding pet, but a true member of our family. My fiancé and I have a 1 year old dog. He was pulling, running and overall just hyper and needing attention when on walks. We have done one session with Mike and its worked wonders! Hes cooperative, listening, sits and stays when people or other dogs are walking by! We are extremely happy with these quick results!

After just one lesson with Mike it was not only evident how knowledgeable he was in dog training, but how well spoken he was in his delivery of the information so that it was easily comprehended and understood by us, as the dogs owners and trainer. Mike is clearly passionate about the well being of our pups, and has taken the time to fully understand why they may be reacting to situations or scenarios in a way that we dont understand. My 2 year old Border Collie is the love of our lives, but has been having reactivity issues while on walks to anyone (person or animal) that walks past us. In one lesson Mike broke down a few simple to understand, but key pointers and instructions on how we can handle the situation in the future. We really appreciated how Mike did not just give instructions on how to handle it, but he explained to us WHY this was happening, and WHY we should follow the next steps in order to handle. Mike made us fully confident in how to proceed in the future, and we are so thankful to have his expertise and guidance. After just one lesson we already have noticed a difference with our pup, and are confident that with continued work and patience that we will all be in a better place because of Mike. Absolutely amazing I am so impressed! we did 2 sessions so far with our newborn baby and our dog and can’t believe how much better our dog is with the baby in a short amount of time! Mike is AMAZING!! We had an absolutely horrible situation occur with our dog and baby. We were devastated thinking we had no other choice but to rehome our dog.We were referred to Mike through a friend and I couldn’t be more grateful! From our first conversation on the phone I could tell he understood the severity of our situation and had confidence in how to handle it. He came to our home and gave us SO many training techniques and cues to help us regain control. Our first session was a crash course of all the commands we need to work on. Michael was by far the best dog trainer I have ever used. He not only makes the experience beyond enjoyable for the dog, but for you as well. He’s extremely knowledgeable, patient, attentive and keeps the session light hearted while having your dog completely engaged and focused. In one session my dog went from not understanding the word “come” to it becoming second nature for her. He’s also got treats that are like prime rib for dogs.

Michael was recommended to us from a friend and we couldnt be happier. We rescued the sweetest dog during the pandemic but we needed help learning how to walk together and to refine some of her obedience skills. She was very skittish at first but Michael was so gentle and reassuring to her that she quickly learned to love his praise. We received Mike’s name from a friend who had been very pleased with his services. Brooks is a rescue dog who was proving to be a bit more difficult to train than our goldens, so we thought we needed some hands on one-to-one training. We are so pleased that we found Mike! First of all, he is so professional and responsible, available for quick questions even if it’s not a formal training day. As for the training itself, as most people know, the key to training a dog well is to properly train the owners to train the dog. Mike’s guidance to us was detailed, clear, and simple. As a result, we started seeing positive changes in Brooks instantly, and he has done better and better as the weeks went on. We have a French Mastiff named Ferris and boy is he big!! We knew we needed to train him and Michael was the right person for the job! Five sessions later, our 9 y/o and almost 8 y/o know the commands and how to communicate with Ferris. Walks are easier as well! Very glad we called One Companion.... highly recommend!!

I reached out to Mike from One Companion Dog Training when I first got my puppy. He was too young to start, but Mike was still responsive and sent me over some puppy tips to start basic commands and obedience before we began formal training. My puppy Monty started with him as soon as we could because I am pregnant and I wanted to have a trained dog before baby comes. Mike kept that in mind and personalized my dogs training based on knowing that I will have a baby in the house. So we did baby noises, walked with a shopping cart (when in Lowe’s) and basic commands like leave it, sit, stay, etc. he also changed the way Monty walks- he walks perfectly now without pulling. I am confident that my dog is well trained to be around a baby! Mike is also responsive via text when not with Monty if I had little questions here and there. My pup has grown so much and loved sessions with Mike. I highly recommend his services for your dog- no matter the age!

I cant thank Mike and his training methods enough. As a new puppy owner, we didnt know much about our dogs behavior and how to approach training him. We tried the local PetSmart but didnt see great results from the training there. So we reached out to One Companion and had Mike come work with our puppy.
