Ballston Spa Vet hospital has always provided the best care for my last two Golden Retrievers. Maggie had bad arthritis and was able to use their underwater therapy with Tina. It was simply amazing and really benefited Maggie well. It definitely prolonged her life. My second Golden was a male named Bailey. He was a frequent flyer with their boarding facility and believed when he was boarded that it was his mini-vacation too!! He absolutely Loved all the Techs who cared for him for visits as well as boarding. His Veterinarian, Dr. Smith, is Exceptional!! She is Caring, Loving, Knowledgeable, Dedicated, and a Trusted doctor. I highly recommend this vet hospital and plan on continuing to bring my pets here going forward.

We met Dr. Anderson and his staff October 2023. Between his outstanding staff and Dr. Anderson’s confidence my husband Leto and l felt right at home. We decided it was time for Leto to have TPLO surgery for early December. Everything went better than we could’ve expected. It really went great. We didn’t think that things could have gone smoother however Leto again needed TPLO on her other leg. Oh my God, her healing is going smoother this time than the last. I don’t know how that is even possible ♥️ It’s a miracle after two surgeries within five months Leto still gets excited to go see Dr. Anderson and his staff. We would not trust anywhere else as much as we trust Dr. Anderson and his awesome, kind and compassionate staff. Thank you for being amazing.

VCA Ballston Spa Animal Hospital is amazing! Our pup, Eleanor tore her cruciate ligament (similar to a humans ACL). We would have had to wait 4 or more months to get Eleanor the surgery that she needed (TPLO) locally, but Dr. Andersen and his staff were able get Eleanor in within a week. For us it was almost a 4 and a half hr trip, but it was so worth it. They are so caring and just amazing! Eleanor healed up wonderfully from her surgery and then unfortunately tore the ligament in her other leg. Once again we were met with care and compassion and they were able to get us in promptly and we are on our way through recovery. We highly recommend Dr. Andersen and his clinic!

I am so thankful to Dr. Anderson & the whole team at VCA Ballston Spa.My malamute/lab mix, Misia, had a fully torn crucial ligament, for which Dr. A. performed TPLO surgery.We had her final 8 week follow up today, and her X-rays showed great results! I was not surprised, I could already tell how good she was doing, based on how well she could walk again. She wasn’t using her leg at all before the surgery.It is such a gift to have my best friend and hiking partner back on all four paws again.Thanks to Dr. Anderson’s care and expertise, we have years more to explore together.Dr, A. and the entire staff were so helpful during Misia’s stressful recovery process, always getting back to me when I had questions or concerns, often hearing back from Dr. A. directly.I spent a lot of time picking her surgeon, and definitely feel I made the right choice.Words cannot express my gratitude.Now, I’m off to take my girl for a walk, and it feels SO good

Can’t say enough good things about this place. From wellness visits to medical care to boarding this is my second dog that uses this facility. Both loved going there. The staff is awesome!

Had a great experience there w my new dog. Usually at other places like greenfield vet hosp the wait is often too long, adding to my pets anxiety and mine. They were fast, they honored my requests and answered my questions. They answer the phones promptly too. The vet ms armstrong was Knowledgeable and friendly and caring. They diagnosed quickly and provided meds easily and convieniently. I will be back there for sure.

NO compassion when putting your loved one to sleep as they want to rush the process causing your pet undue pain and suffering.Watch out for a so called vet that runs specials on surgeries, or often suggests the most expensive route to go.Read the one star reviews and skip the five stars unless you like fairy tales.

Theyre the best! They treat your little babies like youd want them to be treated. The staff goes above and beyond during intimidating situations, like surprise pregnancy and unexpected surgeries.You can just tell that they care.. im so glad I found them.

In the worst situation possible of having to put down our cocker spaniel who was close to 17 years old, the vet Dr Smith and the vet tech could not have made the situation more peaceful. We are so thankful our buddy was comfortable and the experience made us even more at peace. Thank you, Dr Smith.

We started taking our Chesea there 4 years ago , and she had developed a spine problem that a GF vet suggested we euthanize her. The team of Anderson/Armstrong was able to get her walking again. Fast forward to last week, and she was starting to lose control of her back legs again, and at 14 years old, we decided to let her go. The people at this Vet practice handled it with compassion and professionalism. I cant say enough how we appreciated the process . I highly recommend them if you are looking to take care of your Fur Baby .

We came to Dr. Anderson in need of an emergency TPLO surgery for our border collie mix Lucinda, she had blown out her left CCL. The care and expertise we have experienced has been fantastic, we plan on doing her other knee in the future.

Without going into too many personal details I wanted to share how beyond words compassionate this vet is. We had an emergency with or dog after a string of awful events in life. Inflation on its own is already crushing us all. Genuinely concerned for our guys life they got us in to be seen within minutes of calling, despite being booked for the day and made it possible for us to afford his treatment. All of the staff were compassionate, and went out of their way to ensure us that his treatment was top priority. Each time I called to check on him my questions were answered and I never felt I was an annoyance or just a number. It is so hard to find any business with humanity and every single employee here has it. Make the trip if you’re able. I truly believe this office is one of the few God ensured would care for our furry babies as we do for us.

Extremely thorough exam, answered every question completely, and did not try to oversell products or services. In fact, even said one medication was unnecessary and took our dog off it, saving us some money. This was our first visit with our 13 year-old dog, but they are now our guys!!

Fantastic vets and staff. TPLO surgery was a great success and water therapy with Tina is a delight.

Sometimes I feel like this is my second home. ❤️ I frequently need to visit the vet with my multiple cats and VCA Ballston Spa has always, always, always had our backs. From helping my babies through unusual illnesses, chronic issues, and sadly, end of life care, I really feel like my babies were prioritized and cared for at the highest level. I also feel heard as a mom and that is important to me. The medicine is in the moment when needed, but also proactive and preventative and I love that I can count on having everything laid out, regardless of cost, so I can make the best decisions for my cats.

Christine took my call when I was dealing with an urgent situation at home with my Boston Terrier and I couldn’t be more impressed and thankful for not only her professionalism but the time she took to explain different options to best handle the current situation. This was right after I tried calling another animal hospital because there are only a few open on Sunday and the customer service I experienced with them was a joke. VCA of Ballston Spa has an excellent staff and open on Sundays!

(I know a lil long)My boy patch got real sick. I called to make an emergency visit. Unfortunately, I wasnt able to get him in until the following week. This was unacceptable to me as my Patch(aka bubba) was not himself. I decided to wait until the following week. However, I called the very next day and tried to get him in again because my bubba seemed to get a lil worse. This time I was lucky. You took him in right away. Did some test. Made him feel right at home even though he is a lil (ill say) over protective,lol. Found out he had lyme disease and Im prob butchering this but, altaplasmosis. You gave him a script and within 3 days I saw a HUGE improvement. Was more mobile and his personality was coming back.The bill was a little high and I did not have enough to pay. You took half and let me pay the other half the following week.Thank you so much for treating him at no notice or an appointment made.You guys are great!!

My dog was gnawing at his paws pretty badly. VCA ballston spa was able to get my dog in very quickly, which is not common these days at vets. My dog is doing much better and had a great experience.

I am from CA and am visiting family in NY with my dog. Unfortunately, my dog became rather ill while in town and required an urgent vet visit. VCA was able to squeeze us in within a few hours of calling, which I was so grateful for. My dog HATES going to the vet and can be super difficult to handle, but the whole team was super patient and gentle with her and took their time to help her feel comfortable. They were very thorough and even got us in again the next day when her symptoms hadnt improved. Additionally, I was surprised by the total cost- much cheaper than what Im used to in CA, so that was a pleasant surprise. Thanks for taking such good care of Frida!

Dr. Andersen and the team at VCA Ballston Spa Animal Hospital are fantastic. My dog Jim required TPLO surgery on both legs, and he received exceptional care. Both times he recovered quickly, and Dr. Andersen was great about checking in and following up.

This animal hospital saved our dogs life. We originally came here thinking that our dog, Flower, had a knee injury, based on two prior visits to other vets near our home (in Brooklyn). Thanks to the attentiveness of Dr. Andersen and the entire team at VCA Ballston Spa, they were able to properly diagnose the true illness causing our Flowers symptoms: pyometra. Not only that, but the team handled our dogs advanced life-threatening case immediately and performed a critical surgery without hesitation. Thanks to their skill and excellent health-care our dog is thriving once again with no complications.From start to finish the entire team at this hospital was kind, professional, helpful, and incredible communicators. The vet techs that did our intake were very empathetic to our concerns, which put us at ease knowing that the team cared for our dog as much as we did. We felt listened to and cared for from the minute we walked in. Also, the care they provided post surgery was phenomenal - taking the time to sit with us and answer thousands of questions without batting an eye. We also found the pricing to be very fair.Our only regret is that we didnt get a photo with Flower and this wonderful team! Thank you all so much for everything :)

Kind, caring and competent staff. They treat our senior citizen pit bull like a king. He has received excellent care there. We are very happy with the care he gets.Dog was rescued from pit bull fighting and abused badly.Now after 7 years with us hes a certified ESAnimal with an outgoing,friendly disposition. He ignores distractions . Doing well. Hes approaching 16 years old with arthritis but getting up every day and walking. He made our life better and we reciprocated by making his life better.

We’ve had great experiences so far with this office. One of our dogs is extremely anxious… I mean EXTREMELY…. and Dr Smith and the vet tech handled it with such compassion and grace. They proposed plans to improve her care and made us feel very welcome at their clinic.

To start... I’ve never written a review, this is how strongly I feel:ALL of the veterinarians, vet technicians, assistants, and receptionists are amazing. Every time I call they are very pleasant and positive. They are able to make appointments for my pups quickly. All the staff members are compassionate and clearly show their love for animals. They also give you a price for everything before anything is done to your pet so you know how much it’ll be beforehand. There’s nothing negative I can say about this practice and would 100% recommend it. Thank you Ballston Spa Animal Hospital! 😁

Ballston spa veterinary clinic saved my cats life. After my cat stopped eating, I brought her in and without an appointment was seen in less than a half hour. They informed me from the front desk that the wait might be long since I didn’t have an appointment, but luck was on my side and they were able to get her in quick. After an initial intake Dr Smith was fairly certain what was wrong with my kitty, and although not news I was hoping or expecting to hear, it all made sense. After a couple of tests she confirmed her initial assessment and created a treatment plan tailored for my cat. My cat required round the clock care, if she was going to have a shot at being saved, and when I said goodbye as they brought her back I was unsure if I would ever see her again. The team worked hard to make sure that not only was my cat getting the treatment she needed, but that she was comfortable and clean. The next day I was able to go back and visit my cat, and by that time everyone was familiar with her, and treated her like an old friend, patting her tenderly as they walked past, and cooing at her to keep her calm. Unfortunately my cat was sicker than one visit was going to help, and she’s required at home treatment as well, but the team adequately prepared me for what that meant and we’ve been able to get her acting almost like her old self again. Shortly after her initial visit I had to board my cat with an emergency situation, and didn’t hesitate to use BSVC as they more than proved to me their ability to care for my little one. During her stay the team took amazing care of her, and even text messaged me some progress photos to help ease my mind. If anyone reads this and is on the fence about where to take your animal, I can attest to this office valuing quality care over everything else.

Ive been going to Ballston Spa Animal Hospital with my pup since she was 2 years old. She is now 8. For the last 2 years, I have been consistently disappointed with the service, wait times and bed-side manor of the vets assisting us. Additionally, when in recent crisis - the lack of compassion by the staff while visiting, as well as, the lack of urgency (Literally took 13 days with me calling and emailing daily to get a response from the actual vet) in answering or responding to calls, voicemails, emails, following our visit (RELATING TO MEDICATIONS THEY SUGGESTED AND MY FRANTIC MESSAGES OF MY DOG NOT EATING, DRINKING, ETC.) led us to have to seek emergency services and alternative veterinary services. I would not and will not recommend this place to any human or pet as their ability to follow through and prioritize care is negligent at best.

My husband and I rescued a dog on Saturday and were concerned about some things we noticed. We called here Sunday morning and they got us in that day for an appointment at 3:30. We were new clients and I was impressed they were able to get us right in as other places had up to a one week wait. The system they have in place regarding COVID was efficient and easy. The young woman who took our dog into the building was sweet and kind. After the vet checked everything over, she was on the phone with us for over 20 minutes discussing our concerns and developing an appropriate treatment plan for our dog. Not once did she attempt to sell us anything unnecessary and she thoroughly explained all of her recommendations. I could tell she genuinely cared about my dog. Additionally, the cost was completely affordable. I’m so happy we discovered this place for our sweet girl!

Amazing service for an older pet!! Cannot recommend enough! Brought my older cat in with sudden blindness and they sent her home with some gabapentin and a visit next week ! Highly recommend Dr.Casey DiCioccio for any older feline family members!!!!!

We took our kitten to this office on a Sunday. Our regular vet isnt open on Sundays. The staff is exceptional from the Dr, vet techs, to the front desk. Very professional , friendly and treated us with compassion. Thank you for your service

I had an emergency with my dog on Saturday. Three local vets could not fit her in the same day. Even though it was almost a 2 hour drive, Ballston Spa Vet Clinic, got me in immediately. Everyone I had contact with was very friendly and caring. Dr Smith took the time to explain her condition and recommended treatment very thoroughly My dog had to spend the afternoon there, but I was able to bring her home the same day, and now 5 days later she is just about healed. My dog and I couldnt be more pleased!! Thank you Ballston Spa Vet Clinic. Youre the best!

Ive been tempted to write a review many times, yesterday wasnt our first bad experience. Weve been bringing our dog to this location for about 5-6 years. Ive always felt that at every visit they were trying to get you for every dollar. Last week I called to make an appointment for a toe nail cut and had asked what my animal was due for. We ended up making the appointment for a toe nail cut and a wellness visit. I stressed that the toe nail cut was most important since we only take him every so often, due to that fact that he is petrified. We had asked to please do the toe nail cut before the wellness visit, knowing after having shots and a blood draw he wouldnt have been up for the toe nail cut. The women I spoke to on the phone said doing it in that order would be no problem. After waiting an hour in the parking lot I received a call from the doctor stating the wellness visit went well but they could not get the nails done. I asked if they tried the nail cut before the wellness visit like I had asked as well as the receptionist had stated it was in his records. But they instead did not listen to my request. $280 something dollars later and what I had gone for wasnt done with an hour of my afternoon wasted. This was not the first time , but will be the last. I do not recommend this veterinarian clinic. Its a money grab.

I brought my 8 year old American Pitbull, Penny here for the first time this morning. They were absolutely wonderful. They don’t do anything without asking you including the costs and offer to make multiple appointments if needed to spread the costs out. Luckily, they are quite adorable and I was able to do everything in one shot. There are no “hidden fees” and they called me a few times during the visit to let me know exactly what was done or needed to be done and made sure I was okay with it. I wanted to have an organ panel run that they only recommended due to her age and one part they needed to collect a urine sample. By that point, she was scared just from having vaccinations, bloodwork and an infected ear examined and they gave me the materials needed to grab it and bring it in within 30 days. They brought her out to try to do so and knew she was upset and didn’t want to stress her more. They really do care and she was happy as could be when they brought her back out to me. The last local veterinary practice I brought her to put a bad taste in my mouth making me want to take a “holistic approach” until now. They did unnecessary testing, etc and added over $700 on a bill of mine without asking (thank god I have the money) while had stressing my dog out so I cannot thank Ballston Spa Animal Hospital for restoring my faith. I also brought my 14 year old boxer here last March to unfortunately be put to sleep and they were beyond accommodating, patient and kind.

I am so happy to have switched my pets to this practice. So far, Annie, Buster, and Edie have each had at least one visit and impressed doesnt begin to describe how I felt about these vets and their staff. I got an enthusiastic greeting upon walking in followed by great care for my pets at each appointment. I dont think every practice really understands how important seeing the staff interact with your pet is but this one is packed with people who love animals! So far, Ive met three of the vets and they are so great. In short, Im a total fan and highly recommend them. It seems every aspect of pet care has been considered. Ill give them a pass if they wince when I bring my 22 lb tabby, Newman, in. Hes a real freak show. 😾

I cannot say enough good things about this practice! We were clients when I was a kid, when Dr Otto was still there and it was in the village. Their new office is beautiful, state of the art and offers services I had never even heard of - like post op rehab for pets and an under water treadmill! Their vets are incredibly caring and their hours accommodate any schedule. My pets and I adore them!

I brought my 9 year old cat, Phantom, to Ballston Spa Veterinary Clinic. Abby (technician) and Dr. Wilde were both absolutely fantastic. They were so good with my cat and were great at keeping me informed. They really were looking out for the best interest of my long-time friend. I appreciate the help in getting him up-to-date, and for helping me find the signs of his early kidney disease. Im so happy that we found it early. Thank you!

We drive from Syracuse NY to bring our big guy because he needed 2 TPLO surgeries and are so thankful we stumbled across this office! They took the challenge of working on a 185lb guardian breed, who doesnt like to be apart from his charges and made the experience safe, easy, affordable and possibly! They work around us having to drive 2+hrs for appointments and check ups and are a phone call or email away for a nervous Mom. Wed definitely bring all our pets if we lived in the area! Great, caring, professional staff.

Ballston Spa Vet Clinic took exceptional care of our little guy. We came in with our 2 year old pup last week and the service we received was exceptional. I am new to the area so finding a vet clinic that I can trust is very important. Although we came in for immediate relief and assistance we will continue to go to this vet clinic because of their excellent service.

Ballston Spa Veterinary Clinic was recommended by a friend when my dog was not doing well. I was hesitant at first but once I brought him in, the staff was so friendly and accommodating that even my dog (who has always detested going to the vet)was perfectly fine with it and settled down. Their staff kept loving him and gave him a treat which just may have had something to do with it... but the fact that he doesnt mind going to the vet now, is an enormous help!

I and my two pets have been clients since Dr. Salamund and Dr. Anderson took over Ballston Spa Vet. They and all of their staff provide wonderful service and compassionate care. Im happy they have such wonderful facilities and the expertise to handle almost every health issue which might arise. Though they are a little pricey, the quality of service, cleanliness and scope of facilities and services make it well worth it. They definitely take the time needed to address any medical questions Ive had about my pets and all were very caring when my 16 year old cat passed away early this Spring.

I have had an excellent experience each time Ive taken my two cats here. The vets are knowledgeable, thorough, and take the time to explain everything. The rest of the staff is friendly and helpful as well. They keep great track of my pets health and have an app that lets me easily see when the kitties are due for any vaccines or routine exams. Highly recommended!

During this time of uncertainty, you guys took the best precaution not only for yourselves but your clients. I appreciate all you do for our fur babies. We have never had a bad experience with any of the staff. Everyone is open to options. You explain the procedures, talk about the costs and follow up care. You get our agreement before doing anything that could bankrupt someone. The follow up calls make it even more personal. Thank you!

Our primary vet was booked and our cat needed timely care. Thankfully, VCA was able to schedule us in with very short notice and see us. While a bit far for our cat (35-min by car), it was worth the trip to get such great care. For that they are highly recommended. Thanks!

Our dog Rosie, came home one night with a severe limp on her back leg. Our usual Vet confirmed she had torn her CCL and Meniscus..They recommended many animal hospitals that do the TPLO surgeryand we chose VCA Ballston Spa animal hospital to perform the needed surgery. She had her surgery in January 25, 2022 and the 8 week recovery went extremely will and now Rosie has full use of her injured leg. Even though we had to travel and hour and a half it was all well worth it. We cant say enough how accommodating, professional and pleasant Dr. Anderson and his staff were.

Okay vet but seems like they try to cut corners and overcharge for basic things. No communication and want to try to blame me when their staff misadvised. Pretty sure I got charged twice but whatever. My dog is listed under my moms name and they wont change it to my information without her consent- like she hasnt taken him to an appointment in years yet they wont just put me on to help eliminate any other issues or concerns. They dont answer the phone or book you in a timely manner. Its unfortunate because it seems my dog is taken care of here but their other issues will push me away.

My husband and I LOVE Ballston Spa Veterinary Clinic. Its very easy to set an appointment with them (we just do it directly from the Pet Desk app), theyre open everyday so weve been able to fit our pets appointments around our busy schedule without any compromise, and the entire staff is very friendly and welcoming. Could not recommend Ballston Spa Veterinary Clinic more.

Earlier this week, my boyfriend and I were getting out of town for my birthday and we made an appointment to board our dog for two days with VCA Ballston Spa Animal Hospital.Long story short, it took 15 minutes for an employee to respond to our check in text and it took 35 minutes for someone to walk out to our car and escort our dog into their facility. I am a relatively patient person, but I think its excessive that I have to sit in your parking lot for 35 minutes on my birthday waiting for someone to check-in my dog. I understand that we are living in extraordinary times, but that shouldnt take 35 minutes.Fast forward to when we go to pick our dog up. We called the vet when we were an hour and fifteen minutes away, spoke with Zach at the front desk, and explained that it was frustrating to wait so long when we dropped him off. We said that we would arrive at 12:15 on the dot, and would it please be possible to have our dog ready for pick up at that time.Zach assured us that our drop off day had been unusually busy and that they would be able to help us in a much more prompt fashion today. Great, I thought. He recommended that we call, rather than text when we arrive, and we would be all set.We pull into the parking lot at 12:12, call the front desk but the line is busy. No problem, we message the check-in phone number and they respond literally one minute later. No small miracle, as it took 15 minutes for them to read the text on the day we dropped him off (they send read receipts).And then we wait. And wait. And wait. Somehow, it still takes more than 30 minutes for them to walk our dog out to us. When they knew at 11:00 am that we would be arriving at 12:15. When we spent 35 minutes on my birthday waiting in their parking lot to drop him off. Its just so frustrating.If this were our first issue with this vet we would let it slide. In the 18 months that we have been a customer:-we were SYSTEMATICALLY over charged for the first four months of our puppy plan. Jill the office manager had to review every bill we had and credited our account back with more than $400 because their front desk employees had improperly billed us, at least once each month from February to May.-our puppy was viciously attacked in their lobby by a stray cat (not another customers pet) that the vet was fostering. One of their employees had inadvertently left the cats cage open (which they kept in their lobby, rather than behind closed doors) and the cat escaped and attacked our small dog.-we arrived one day for an appointment that we had received both an email and text confirmation for only to learn that our vet had travelled to Syracuse for the day and was unavailable. The appointment showed in their system as cancelled (news to us) and the next appointment they had in their system was for our dog to be neutered in a few weeks. They had neutered our dog about one year prior to this incident.-we boarded our dog, with his medication prescribed to us by this vet. not only did they not return to us the medication that we sent him with (that had already been paid for) but we were billed for another full prescription that we did not need. Ultimately they returned to us his almost full prescription that we sent him with and apologized for the mix up.In our experience, nearly every time we interacted with the vet, there was a preventable mix up that happened due to them not being on top of their game.I understand that things cant work perfectly all of the time. I manage a team of 30 employees and we have hundreds of business customers located all across the country and globe. I spend time on a weekly basis interacting with customers who are dissatisfied for one reason or another. The difference between my team and this vet is that once a problem is identified I work on taking steps to remedy it. We identify what caused our customer to be upset, and we work on ways to make sure that situation never occurs again. Not the case here.

I’ve had three vets for my dog in 8 years. The dog is healthy. We go here for the first time for a wellness visit. The vet tries to order everything under the sun to get the bill up. She does not seem genuine. Keeps talking in circles and repeating the same stuff over and over again. What’s normally accomplished for my dog, got done here for triple the price in 2 hours. Choose a different place.

We had nice experiences when bringing our pup here. They typically leave appointments available for the same day in case you have a concern come up and want it addressed quickly. Responsive and informative when it’s needed.

We have only started going to Ballston Spa vet recently, but have had a great experience. They have separate rooms for cats and dogs and are using fear-free techniques that will help reduce stress in both pets, owners, and staff.Our senior cat recently has been having allergy issues (which are quite difficult to pinpoint and manage in cats). The veterinarian discussed the plan of action as we try things to make my cat comfortable. She has consistently stuck with the plan in place as we try to manage my cats issues, which is important.When I made the first appointment, I didnt have to wait more than a few days to get my cat in, even as a new client. Some other clinics wont allow a new client in for weeks.

Ballston Spa Animal Hospital was very compassionate with my little dog Chole. The care was very good and I felt honest. I am now bringing my kitten there and once again am receiving excellent care. I hope we will have many years together and am confident BSAH will help me keep Lily very healthy.

This was Emmas first visit to this clinic and we both liked it very much!! Very knowledgeable and caring staff! I like that they told me what each procedure involved, why they thought she needed it, alternatives, and how much each procedure or medicine would cost right up front. Sometimes you have to make tough choices and it helped that I had all the information I needed to make choices for Emma. This is now my sweet Emmas Vet Clinic!!

I could make this review very long but Ill do my best to keep it short. I have been taking my girls here for about one year now and I will never bring them anywhere else. The staff are the nicest Ive ever met and they truly go above and beyond to make sure not only the animals, but also the families feel comfortable leaving them in their care. I am extremely skeptical, especially when it comes to my dogs (who are basically my children), but BSVC has never steered me wrong. Other bonuses include extremely reasonable prices, promotions/sales, and fun freebies (chuck-it balls, etc). If youre in the area and looking for a new vet or looking to switch, I will endlessly recommend you give BSVC a shot. I doubt youll regret it!

Very impressed with the facility. We had a consult with Dr. Anderson regarding our dog who has a torn ACL. I was very nervous with having the surgery for him until we met with Dr. Anderson. He made us feel very at ease with the surgery and explained everything in detail. Dr. Anderson is very down to earth and professional and took his time with us and answered all of our questions. I am sure we picked the right Doctor to perform the surgery on our poor dog. All the staff at the BSVC are very professional and nice and made our first time visit a relaxing one.

My family has been taking our pets to Ballston Spa Vet since I was a small child and it was located in a white house in the heart of Ballston Spa. Over the years they have provided our animals with the best of care and compassion. I have other vet options that are a bit closer but I always take my pets to Ballston Spa Vet. With Dr. Anderson and Dr. Smith and all of the other great vets I know my dog will get the best care possible. Highly recommend.

Ive been bringing my cat here since she was a kitten and I wouldnt go anywhere else in the Saratoga/BSpa area. Dr Brennan and Dr Armstrong are competent, professional, and caring. Theyve always helped me strike a balance between comprehensive care and financial realities, for which Ive been very grateful. The vet techs are always friendly and professional, and always ready to admire my majestically proportioned feline. There may be cheaper places to take your pet, sure, but they just arent the same. I love that the clinic has expanded their hours to weekends; I know it must be tough on the doctors and techs, but its a godsend for those of us who cant always take off of work to get to the vet!

Ive been taking my dog Didi to VCA Ballston spa animal hospital since 2023, and Ive been impressed during all this time. Didi needed a dental procedure yesterday. From Dr. Armstrongs excellent explanations of the situation last week to Dr. Wildes (who performed the procedure) crystal clear, detailed explanations and concern for my familys questions, and through the kind, compassionate entire staff of VCA Ballston Spa, who work very hard, I cant say enough how pleased we are. (Pardon the run-on sentence.)

We took both our cats here for general exams and microchips. The staff works hard to make it a calm experience for everyone. There are separate wait rooms for cats and dogs. Everything is very clean. They have Feliway calming diffusers in the cat exam rooms which seems to help my cats. Dr. Salamun was knowledgeable and took the time to explain things to us. We didnt feel rushed or sold tests/products we dont need. The vet techs were gentle with our cats. The overall cost was surprisingly low (though I am used to downstate prices). We really appreciated the complimentary exam for new customers. Also, they have a nifty app that allows you to make appointments from you phone and receive reminders. Highly recommend!

Been bounced around to 3 different Doctors, given treatments and medication for 3 months that didnt work. Only for them to finally admit they can address the issue and suggested i see a specialist. I believe that some of the people here care but most of them seem more focused on squeezing money out of you then caring for your pet.Update: Reached out to the corporate office and talked with the regional manager. Was promised a call back after they reviewed the case and that was weeks ago. They seem to act like they care but dont follow up.

This is our go to place to take our kitties. The staff is always wonderful and kind. We have had a few pretty emergencies and they have been able to fit us in quickly. You can tell they care about you and your pets! Highly recommend!

Dr. Payton is an amazing veterinarian and moreover an amazing person. He performed a cherry eye surgery (pocket technique) on my bulldog and the procedure went perfect. My dog recovered and wanted to play the same day. He called me personally on Saturday and Sunday to see how my dog was doing. He has a genuine concern for your pet and the practice is as honest as you could ever hope for.

The office staff and technology systems are so remarkably inefficient and poorly run at Ballston Spa Veterinary Clinic that it overshadows the excellent care that they provide to our dog.We got the puppy plan which offers comprehensive coverage for the dog for the first year at a relatively reasonable price, I think about $1,000.However, the price they advertise is inconsequential because you are routinely over billed for every service because the technicians do not understand how to bill for services and what is included for free and what is an additional charge.After being overcharged on several different occasions we finally reached out to Jill, the office manager (also literally the only person with even the slightest clue how to run a veterinary practice from the administrative side of things) and she reviewed all of our charges for the first four to six months and found that we had been overcharged about $400.00 and she credited these funds back to us. I have the email where Jill admitted that the charges were excessive and incorrect and provided us with the refund should there be any doubt as to whether or not this is exactly what happened.Outside of the billing fiascos, which occurred on every single visit, more or less, we also had our dog attacked by a stray cat that was living in the lobby of the vets office for a while. Somehow the cage was left unlocked and the cat got loose and scratched our dog, drawing blood, and ultimately providing an unnecessary traumatic experience for our dog.The final straw demonstrating the pervasive incompetence of this place occurred today when we brought Bailey to his annual check up. We had originally scheduled our appointment for the morning on 2/27 and a week or two beforehand someone called us from the vet’s office to say that Dr. Salamun’s availability has changed and asked whether we would be okay with a 4 pm appointment on the same day. No problem we said and we received a confirmation email on 02/25 stating the date and time of our appointment.So of course when we show up at 4 pm on 02/27 they tell us that there are no veterinarians present and that they had no record of our appointment. I showed them the confirmation email and the only response they had was that they were “having issues with PetDesk” (the software they use to book appointments.This place is filled with animal lovers that always do their best to take care of any pets brought to their facility. Unfortunately, it is staffed by utterly incompetent people that can never get billing info or appointment times right. The only person here with half a clue is Jill, the office manager, and since they have about thirty people on their staff, you usually end up interacting with someone who lacks the wherewithal to take care of even the most simple administrative tasks. It’s mind boggling how incompetent they are at Ballston Spa Veterinary Clinic and I would encourage anyone that has used their services for any length of time to review their bills because it is more likely than not that you have been inadvertently overcharged.

The staff are fantastic. They have nice little areas for cat and dog patients, delicious coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Very clean and tidy. They also offer a financial hardship discount but before you ask you need to apply to Care Credit a credit card that you can use there. If you dont qualify they will take money off at the discretion of the doctor. Im telling you this because its not on their brochure. ...yet. (Im sure they will update it).Very good experience.

The staff there is fantastic, very friendly. The Vets are all great! All friendly, all knowledgeable and very caring. They have always taken great care of our pet family. Not only great at medical care, but also a great place to board our dog.

Ballston Spa Veterinary Clinic did an excellent job when I needed to have my fathers 2 cats seen promptly before Dad moves to assisted living. The assistant scheduled me for same-day appointments for immunizations, FeLV testing and wormer before the cats are adopted. Dr. Wilde, Judy and Terran were knowledgeable, kind, thorough and helpful. Even though they rarely travel, both cats were very comfortable around the staff. I recommended Ballston Spa clinic highly to HOPE animal rescue that will handle the cats. Thank you!

Dr.Smith showed Genuine care for our Dog Yoda. Any time we have taken our animals to the Vet the Doc. Is always trying to sell us something. But Not Dr. Smith. She was informative and very upfront And showed she truly Has compassion

While moving from Connecticut to Kansas I stopped in the Ballston Spa area for a few weeks. My dog was limping, so my brothers recommended Ballston Spa Vetirinary Clinic and it was a really positive visit. They got me in pretty quick and treated us like we were their patients forever. They were really really sweet and caring. I wish they were located in Wichita!

I am so excited to have a vet tech and Vet that were so patient and awesome with my new boy. They made us relaxed and him relaxed it was an awesome experience!!!! They took there time with him we were the last appointment of the day and we were there a while not rushed they took it slow, and I am so happy with the care they gave.

It was the first time in 14 yrs Ive had to board my shih tzu. I was very nervous about leaving him, but Ballston Spa Vet...offers boarding, so I decided to give them a try. He was there for 3 nights...and they were kind enough to send me along a picture of him! Made me feel so at ease. We recently moved to Ballston Spa, and when he wasnt feeling well, my vet in Latham, couldnt see him on an emergency basis on a Saturday. Since my son brings his dogs to Ballston Spa vet, I called them, and they got me in within an hour! I cant tell you how much I appreciated them seeing him that day! Needless to say, they are my little boys vet now! Thank you Ballston Spa Vet. You guys are the best!

Ballston Spa vet was amazing. We are from Westchester and the vets here tried to charge us $7,000 for a TPLO leg surgery for our dog. We went up to ballston spa and not only was the surgery half the price but the surgeon and nurses have been so amazing and attentive even 1 week post op. We are very cautious pet owners and have called them about 4 times with questions and they have happily and quickly answered every one.

Everyone involved in the clinic were easy and wonderful to work with. They all have the animals well being as their primary goal. We are very pleased to be with Ballston Spa Veterinary Clinic and trust them with our adorable puppy.

I was referred to BSVC 9 years ago and I am thankful that I was. Everyone there is fantastic and I have complete faith in the vets. It is a bit pricey, but the care is worth it. My cats are my babies and they treat them as such. I always recommend people here.

Warm and friendly staff. From the reception desk to the techs to the doctors, there is a genuine care and concern for the beloved animals that come through their doors. Brought my dog in for her rabies shot. I brought all paperwork except last vaccine , I thought it was in the envelope. however the license I just renewed has the dates, which are up to date btw. They treated me like a criminal and made me feel horrible, stating the documents could be falsified. I will bring her back to the 4h clinics for further vaccines. I left there feeling very much like a second class citizen. FYI I immediately brought back her vaccine paperwork so they could verify im not a liar.

Such kind and wonderful staff. I couldnt be more grateful or thankful that they were so accommodating in an emergent situation with my cat.... I really thought we werent coming home with her, but Dr. Wilde and her team made it happen. Ill never not recommend BSpa vet clinic to anyone in the area. My dog was sick, so I took her her. The vet recommended blood work with tons of other things ( just under $500) They wanted to put a needle straight into my dogs bladder for a urine sample. I declined. I agreed to let them give my dog a shis for nausea (Cerenia) I was told it would make her feel better so she could eat. Instead it make her completely lose her appetite. After two hours she couldnt even stand up with out falling over. After looking up the shot, these are all side effects of it. They never even hinted that these things could happen to my dog. They seemed more concerned about different things they could charge me for. I settled for blood work and the $42.45 shot that made my dog not be able to function afterwards. So my bill was a total of $192.45. They were nice enough to give me my first office visit for free ($69.99) I will never bring any of my animals here again.I will however say that everyone there was very nice.

My dog, Maverick was hit by a car on Labor Day weekend. After dealing with the immediate injuries at a local 24 hour vet hospital, we were told that Maverick would need an orthopedic surgeon to operate on his front right leg. We called every and anywhere, but due to the holiday weekend, many offices did not have specialists on staff or wouldn’t even speak with us until Tuesday. A friend of mine suggested VCA Ballston Spa Animal Hospital. After a long day/night of making sure Maverick didn’t sustain any life threatening injuries I called late Saturday night and left a message. First thing Sunday morning we had an appointment made for his surgery. I can’t say enough about how wonderful our experience has been. From the techs to the doctors, everyone has been nothing but pleasant, helpful, and caring towards both us and Maverick. I highly recommend the VCA Ballston Spa Animal Hospital to everyone. We are beyond appreciative of all that has been done and the level of care that Maverick has received.

BSVC has been a God-sent! When our primary vet gave up on our dog with kidney issues, she told us to call the hospital in Latham. Latham is a great place, but last time cost us about $1,000 per day. I Googled and found this place and they are amazing! We even brought our other dog there the same day and have made them our primary vets for both pets. They even text photos and updates of our pets while he was there and it was so much economically priced than the hospital, but still with amazing care! Very nice people and always listen and explain any questions we have. God bless them.

The staff is amazing and the facility is clean. Love how they have a separate area for dogs and cats. Dr. Brennan was fantastic and very thorough with our dog Tucker. We will be bringing our other dog to see Dr. Brennan in the near future.

While we understand and respect the need for restrictions during COVID lockdown, they provided woefully inadequate avenues of communication to compensate for not allowing owners in with the pets. Aside from a perfunctory phone call after the doctor saw our pet (other vet offices have you on the phone during the appointment instead of a quick call after), all communication was done via an admin runner (not even an assistant vet tech) who had no understanding of the details of the appointment, was unable to answer any questions, and left off questions or details frequently. Vet immediately suggested a 3000 dollar course of treatment for us to sign off on without actually diagnosing the pet first. Once we pushed to actually diagnose the pet first, it turned out to be much less serious. They consistently push for the most expensive options and the communication goes through two or three people before it gets to the vet who actually saw the animal, at which point youre lucky if the vet got the correct question or information. Not a good situation. Strongly would not recommend.

I brought Buff in for his first visit as he is a pup. I am very impressed with the care and compassion your staff has. Of course Buff loved all the treats he got! So there is nothing more we could ask for in the care and experience. Thank you!

Provides amazing customer service! Even during the pandemic the customer service is unbelievable! The doctors are extremely knowledgeable and open regarding ALL treatments available. They are not pushy about getting expensive treatments and always carefully explain all costs prior to any procedure. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars!

Brought my Bernese Mountain Dog Zoltan there as he had a lump on his back leg and it was growing. Called on a Thursday, they got me an appointment for that Sunday at 9am. I live in Broadalbin so it was a bit of a drive but 100% worth it. I did the text in and let them know what spot I was in and I would say within 5-10 minutes they came out to get Zoltan and brought him in. After a short while the vet, Dr. Mayrose, called me and gave me an update and with the list of procedures and more they wanted to do I was thinking it was gonna be a fortune, so I was PLEASANTLY surprised when they informed me it would be under 400$. Zoltan get separation anxiety from us (his family, and his brother) and he did amazing here. They were so sweet and caring and truly made sure that he was comfortable and happy 😊. And thats all that matter to me in the end. I highly recommend VCA Ballston Spa

Newly relocated to Ballston Spa from New Jersey, and just adopting a rescue from North Carolina, I relied on my new neighbors referral to BSVC, and I am so pleased that I did. Max received a complete head to tail examination with Dr. Smith, who was extremely patient and kind with both Max and I. She spent an overwhelming amount of time with us, and reviewed all aspects of his current state, and ongoing care. Appropriate preventive treatments were prescribed, and Max was given a clean bill of health. A positive experience for both of us. And, surprisingly, as a new client, there was no charge for the exam! Ongoing followup has been more than I could ever expect, and I am happy that Max will be in the best hands at BSVC. Thanks to my new Ballston Spa neighbor, we have Maxs needs covered.

I have a twenty year old cat who was very sick with pancreas and kidney issues. The veterinarian that treated Gato was informative, attentive, compassionate, honest and responded to my concerns. She could be responsive because she listened to me. The veterinarian not only answered my questions after I brought Gato home but actually sent me an email with some health suggestions to insure that his recovery would have longevity. I was truly impressed with the kindness and compassion of every staff member. Customer service is a wonderful thing! Gato has been cross country twice in my RV....once to California and once to Alaska and all kinds of RV trips in between. He is an amazing, well traveled, rescue cat.

Hands down the BEST vet clinic I have ever experienced! I was searching for a Vet in my area (Malta) and called a handful of local clinics. I chose this clinic over all based on how courteous, informative, and helpful the front desk staff was over the phone. The facility is clean, big, and animal friendly (dogs on one side of the waiting room and cats on the other). You enter the exam room directly from waiting room and never have to wait long. The vet techs are friendly, interactive with my dogs, and educated. The most absolute plus is Dr. Eric Anderson, who truly has a love and respect for animals. He does a thorough exam of my dogs every time, performs vaccines in front of you, and always answers questions and/or makes recommendations within concern of the owner and pets interest (i.e. costs of tests/medications). He never forces any extra costs (i.e. imaging, medications, tests) that do not appear to be necessary (i.e. heart worm test was not necessary for my 4 month old puppy in April since possibility of being bitten by mosquito was extremely low), and the visit is never rushed. I know my animals are in good hands with Dr. Anderson and his team.

This is a very caring and capable veterinary practice. Everyone spends as much time with you as you need; no matter how busy they are! I cant say enough good things about them. My dog, Brookie, is back to normal following her ACL surgery. They dont push anything on you and offer you options regarding the care of your pet.

I had loved this place, they were super supportive, but Ive decided to decrease my formerly 5-star rating to a 4.I had fully sponsored my animal. I was 16 when I made my account with them, and I footed 100% of the costs. Years later, instead of making a separate account when my parents got a cat, they joined their account with my account. I started getting appt reminders and notification about animals that werent mine (this was AFTER I was married, mind you). Today I got an email that was sent to Abigaildaughter. Glad to know how they view their clients.Ive been bringing my animals to them for years, making 100% of the decisions, paying at the desk, and yet they cant seem to figure out that my parents and I are separate entities, even after I changed my address, last name, etc.Service? Incredible. Organization? Sub-par.

Ive taken 3 dogs to BS Vets over the past 6 years and have always had prompt and thorough service. My last visit was for an urgent problem. I got in within one hour and also got a complete examination as well as treatment.

We have been bringing all of our animal friends to the VCA Ballston Spa Animal Hospital and could not be more happy. The adjustments to the way they take care of the animals has been spot on during the pandemic and it will be an absolute pleasure to see all of their faces again when things get back to normal for visits.

We were in the area on vacation when my Dalmatian received a serious injury to her ear that required stiches. I walked in the front door asking if they can help her and the staff sprang into action. Without going into detail the care and attention was second to none. From someone who loves my dogs just like the humans in my life I give this veterinary hospital my highest recommendation.

I couldn’t think of one thing that would have made our visit any better. Everyone in the office made us feel welcome and so happy with the level of care that Abigail received. Even though sugar gliders are not an animal they see on a regular basis, I felt very confident in the care they gave. I would recommend them over and over. Thank you all!

The other review couldnt be more wrong. We brought our cat in after he starting acting weird and became blind. They were able to figure out what was going on with minimal tests, since we couldnt afford much. They diagnosed him with a brain tumor and gave us a medication to give him.About a month later he got worse and couldnt keep food down, so the time came to have him put to sleep. They were extremely compassionate and caring in an obviously difficult time. They even took an ink print of his paw as a keepsake and made enough for each member of our family. About a week later we received a sympathy card in the mail from them along with a little pouch containing some of his fur.I cant say enough good things about this vet. They were beyond compassionate and thoughtful in our time of need.

I would like to mention this is an awful place to bring your animal. We dropped off my cat to get neutered at 8am in the morning and went back at 4pm to go and pick him up. When we picked him up he was covered in his own urine and was not let out of his carrier all day to use the litter box because we were told the vets did not want to get bit or scratched. Mention there was a blanket in the carrier covered in his own urine as well. When asked if they could take the blanket out and throw it away we were told well then we will smell like cat piss and we dont want that. It is not a place I would recommend taking any animal to get fixed. Then, they cut part of his ear off to ensure that if he were to ever get out that we would be able to recognize him. We never approved to have them cut our animals ear. Very unprofessional and not recommended at all!

WOW! Five months ago my 2 (old ladies) Wheatie and Woobie who had been rescued in Harlem by one of my daughters 12-13 yrs ago. Both cats had become ill, living in Lake Luzerne I needed a vet close by, on 3 different occasions they saw Cat Country Vet in Glens Falls(Im not going to bad mouth) just please do not bring your cats there. I do believe that they would both still be with me if only they had been diagnosed correctly (I was told theyre just a bit dehydrated). Well this past May my Woobie became quite ill, my daughter from Albany (who praised Ballston Spa vet) said please bring her there,unfortunately Woobie was not going to make it.This vet clinic never having seen us, when I called to say I need to put my cat down said bring her in now. They listened to me over the phone that morning and knew how hard it was to make that decision. They became my vet😻 it says something when youll travel 45 min. each way to a vet. Three weeks ago I came home from wedding in CT only gone overnight . When I walked in my Wheatie (who like I said saw Cat Country vet only a few months earlier) was showing same behaviors as she had when I brought her in to THAT OTHER VET Well she was going into a diabetic coma. We did EVERYTHING over the next week to regulate her glucose,they were wonderful. They kept her overnight trying to regulate and let me bring her home the next day. They educated and instructed me on what Wheatie and my life was going to be like, checking her blood sugar 3 times day and giving her insulin twice a day. I tried as did they to get her regulated, Wheatie was just to weak. The staff from Receptionist to Techs and Vets gave me and my cats UNCONDITIONAL care,compassion and love of animals.

Everyone I had any dealing with on our first visit gave exceptional service. Easy to talk to, informed me of everything my pet needed (shots, neutering, ect), took good care of our unruly pet. Thank you!

We have had very good experiences with BSVC, They performed TPLO surgery on our 5 yr.old Rottweiler and the results were excellent. We have also used them on a Sunday when an emergent situation came up and they were very accomodating! Highly recommended.

Whenever I bring my cat (previously feral-now completely domesticated) we are always greeted with a friendly smile and very knowledgeable/helpful staff. I truly recommend this practice to anyone who has a pet.

Excellent care. We had to put our precious baby Maddie to sleep, and the staff, especially Dr. Wilde, were amazing and sympathetic. I am so grateful for the care they gave Maddie and me.

Ballston spa veterinarian clinic is wonderful. Kasey has had 2 acl repairs. She did great The vets and the staff are all great. They all seem to love what they do.

Overall they do a great job caring and treating our dog. I feel there are some items that they recommend that arent needed for our dog that make visits a bit more pricey.

My male dog just had his neuter surgery at BSVC. Everything was outstanding including my dogs Pre visit with Dr. Anderson. Wonderful staff and reasonable pricing for a full service vet with weekend hours.

From the first phone call to set up the initial appointment to the day of the appointment, the staff and Dr. made us feel more comfortable than we had expected. Amazingly friendly staff. You could tell they love what they do!

I have been bringing my Babies (Cats) here for a couple of years. The staff is always very understanding and do their best to help you. They have always provided the best care to my Babies. I will keep going there as long as I can.

Unfortunately spent 2 weeks calling and emailing and never heard back. Obviously can’t comment on the doctors, but the administrative side seems severely lacking. Called Springs Family vet instead and was immediately helped by a very kind and helpful receptionist.

We came from Western MA to have a TPLO surgery. Professional office and the vet sat wirh us and explained in detail the procedure. The price point was $1500-$2,000 cheaper than the vet in CT we were looking at. Highly recommend.

Dr Anderson and his staff explained my options and made me feel comfortable with the TPLO procedure. The surgery was a success. I drove 300 miles round trip and finding Dr Anderson was a blessing. Wazeekajh is recovering well.

As a wildlife rehabilitator, I would not be able to provide the level of care required for a variety of species of wildlife. The generosity of Drs. Andersen and Salamun in providing veterinary services to wildlife in need speaks to their overall commitment to animals. The staff is always very helpful in ensuring wildlife I bring to the clinic are quickly ushered into spaces appropriate for limiting stress on the animals.As a pet owner, I highly recommend BSVC for quality, insightful care of family pets.

Even though it was almost a two hour drive, we have been so pleased with Duke’s 2nd TPLO surgery with Dr Anderson. Everyone took the time to answer our questions and the pre/post surgical documentation they provide helps tremendously!

We’ve had the good luck to find this fantastic Vet group. They saved our 1 year old kitten from pancreatitis. They are just amazing.

Was able to get my dog in as a new patient and was very helpful.

Neat building and clean with nice people working there. All are loooking out for best interest of pet and not pushy on services that cost more, just informed of options and go from there. Only thing I don’t like is the entrance and counter area. Always seems to be conflicting with those coming or going and those waiting or checking out.

The Dr. Was very thorough and the staff was kind. Weve used BSVC for years and always loved the way they treated our pets.

Finding the right vet is one of the biggest thing for me because my dog is part of the family. Here I feel like she’s taken care of and they make sure she gets the right care.

Was up in Chestertown NY at our camper for Memorial Day Weekend, noticed Saturday my dog Beau had a hematoma in his ear, called the EVet and they had a 6 hour wait......I wasnt an emergency, I just wanted it drained for his comfort.........got up Sunday called the EVet again still 6 hours.......so I found VCA Ballston Spa and they were able to get me in, drain the hematoma and give me meds for an ear infection.....made him more comfortable till he could see his vet back home........ and a very reasonable price too

Very disappointed with high prices, waiting over 45 minutes too be seen, had blood test for a sick dog and they were too busy too call me back with results, Im still waiting 3 days later at this point after 8 calls into their office. I have yet to get results

This is a very good vet and the personnel seem very knowledgeable. The pricing is fair as well and our dog is always excited when she realizes where she is going.

Ballston Spa Veterinary Clinic is awesome! All the staff are very friendly and great with animals, their prices are fair and the facility is always super clean. We took our 5 yrs old, 90lb cane corso here for TPLO surgery. We live about 3 hours away, but their pricing was way lower than vets near us so the drive has been worth it. Dr. Andersen did a great job explaining things to us every step of the way, and our mastiff is healing up well 😊 Our mastiff is not good at the vet, he can get very aggressive towards strangers touching him. (It is something were working on.) All the staff were very accommodating and great at helping him stay calm during our visits. Im super appreciative of everyone at Ballston Spa Vet Clinic! They really all went out of their way to make sure we had a calm and positive experience.They also always answered all my concerned phone call questions right away which really helped to ease my stress during that first week of recovery 😂

If I could give 0 stars I would. I called in because my cat had been having a seizure for about 20 minutes and they were my cats primary vet. For background, Doug and I regularly visit for his seizures from a brain defect. I had called in to ask if I could bring him in for intervention to stop his seizure. When we got there they took him back immediately, but that’s where the urgency ended. After waiting 15 minutes I was called back. While I waited for the vet, I could hear in the back they were saying his “seizure wasn’t that bad.” I asked what was going on and the vet tech let me know they were referencing textbooks for medications. Once the vet came in, I realized they had no idea what they were doing. Not only did she speak entirely in jargon, but after telling me to bring in my cat who was still seizing, she was looking up how to stop the seizure. Her determination was that she didn’t feel comfortable giving him the medications and asked me to bring him to the emergency vet clinic 20 minutes away. When I asked why they didn’t tell me to go there in the first place and instead wasted an hour of Dougs time that he was still seizing, she said that she wanted to be sure this cat with a known history of seizures was in fact having a seizure or that it would end by the time we got there. We left while my cat was still seizing to rush to a vet that would actually do something. If this were a human, I’d consider this medical mal practice and we will NEVER come back to this office. Both the emergency vet clinic and the VCA acknowledged he was actively seizing.

Took great care of my pet while we boarded her but the wait to both drop her off and pick her up was insanely long like 40 minutes each time..which is crazy when you schedule a time and come on time and call ahead with your time for pick up. We were moving so it really set us back. Otherwise no complaints

This place is great! Our 11 year old Greyhound had a stroke the end of December, after her recovery she started Rehab and Acupuncture at BSVC. Within a few treatments we have already seen improvement in her balance and mobility. Thank you Dr. Armstrong and Tina, we are so happy you are part of Peaches team!!

We brought our dog to Ballston Spa Animal Hospital when we lived in the area and it felt like every time we brought him in, they were trying to upsell us on things.Lets take an x-ray or do some other really expensive thing.They also provide doggy daycare, but they are SUPER expensive! Theyll even charge extra just to give your dog medicine. Way to take advantage of the owners of dogs that need just a little bit of extra care!The saving grace for them though was their physical therapy program. Our dog had knee surgery to correct a torn CCL and their water treadmill and physical therapy program really helped him recover well.

We always know that whenever Frank is at BSVC he is always getting the very best care and loving attention. They are very responsive to any questions you submit during your fur babies care/stay 💗🐕🐾

My dog received a thorough exam and we didnt need to wait long. The place is clean and the staff are friendly and professional. Im very happy to have such a great vet close by.
