Bronx Barx is incredible. Renzo treated my dog like his own with so much love and care. My dog would sprint up the stairs to greet Renzo and be so excited to go to daycare - she does not do this at any other daycare we’ve taken her to! If we hadn’t moved away we would still be dedicated customers. They are flexible with last minute bookings. It’s affordable, too.

I recently took my dog Frida to Bronx Barx, and it was an amazing experience! The staff was friendly and truly cares about the dogs. The facility is clean, spacious, and offers a variety of activities, keeping my Frida happily engaged. I appreciated their focus on safety and supervision. Overall, Bronx Barx is a fantastic place for dogs, and I can’t recommend it enough! Happy Dog! =Happy Dog mom!

Highly recommend Bronx Barx. I used to bring my PUPPY Milo to PetSmart daycare but they told me he was too hyper so they put him in the crate. I looked around for a new place and found Bronx Barx and Im so happy I did. Milo had such a great time and got all his energy out. They didnt keep him crated up and he got to play all day long. The staff was incredibly nice as well. I love that they have live cameras too so I could check on my baby. Milo was soo tired after from all the fun he had. Highly recommend!

Update 8/19/2019 - I just left my puppy with these guys for a week! And she was so well taken care of. She was happy to go back and even gained some weight. I cant say enough about the high quality of care Bronx Barx has for the canines in their care.I am so grateful for Bronx Barx. The quality, attention, and care that the staff show both to my puppy and myself is bar none. When you walk in you feel the positive vibe both from the friendly staff and the happy dogs! Whats more, they have a doggy cam so you can check on your pooch through out the day to see how they are doing. This place is 5th Avenue quality in the heart of an up and up neighborhood in the south Bronx. My puppy is always happy to come here. It has become her home away from home!

I took my 5 month old puppy here for his first grooming and I was scared as hell because people can be cruel. I’m never doing it again. His hair wasn’t cut correctly nor was his nails, only one of his ear hair was cut . I paid in cash asked for a receipt and the young lady told me the machine was down, it took two hours for my puppy to be done . I paid and once again asked for the receipt, the woman said she would email it to me. I went in May 15,2023 at 12 pm people tend to give themselves away with body language, im never going back. I tipped as well , the total was apparently $70.77 not worth the money or time.Terrible experience for me and my boy.

I have been using Bronx Barx since I got my puppy last January. She does daycare 3-4x/week, grooms and boards with them. They love her and she loves them back in return. She cries when waiting to go in and it is crazy tail-wagging as soon as she sees them. Not to mention, she pulls to go back in when we are leaving. I think thats a good indicator of how she feels about them. I love and appreciate the way they care for and love my Lucy. It is worth everything!

Our pup Kenji LOVES going to daycare at Bronx Barx twice a week! He can’t wait to get in the door, and he leaves tired and happy from a day full of play. We have so much peace of mind knowing how well Renzo, Wilson and the team take care of our little furry friend. The facility is always so clean, and the staff are so kind and attentive. I had previously taken my dog Remy to another doggy day care. He was always reluctant to go in/interact with staff, the area was closed off so I could never see where he was located except through a blurry camera, and they put dogs in crates for a 2 hour “nap time” in the middle of the day.After coming to Bronx Barx, I see what a great daycare experience looks like. Remy LOVES going to this place!! He cries and howls to get out of the car once he sees we’ve arrived, and rushes to get in to see the other dogs and staff. We love the open concept for transparency’s sake, as well as the lack of “nap times”. He gets to socialize and free roam the entire time he’s there (which is often!).The staff are also all SO friendly and helpful—they make me feel like Remy is in good hands every day.I could go on because I have had countless positive experiences with this place during the past 6 months, but, all in all, if you are considering coming here don’t even think twice. They’re awesome.

These people allow their workers to mistreat dogs and the customer. Majesty and john both today were caught treating a dog bad and then began to curse the customer out. The customer has the whole video on fb🤦🏻‍♀️ @_itz_maj3st1c_They are also blocking us from telling people the truth

I have always loved and been a big fan and supporter of Bronx Barx. My dog got groomed, the groomer did a good job. Ill just comment regarding the initial interaction with the staff who was working the front desk (J) that morning. I will say be mindful of tone when addressing the dogs in your care. Dogs bark, its what they do, you yelling at a dog in front of customers does not make a customer feel comfy to leave their dog there for 1 or 2hrs. Then when it comes to pick up and asking questions, the short, lack of enthusiastic answer. Honestly in terms of customer service;it was a turn off.Other than this experience, i have always had positive interactions with BB.

I was glad to have found this place online. My 13-year old Silky-haired Yorkie needed a hair cut and I hoped they had an opening. The booking was a breeze and the representative was great! I want to thank the grooming team for making my yorkie very beautiful (apologies if she was a bit snappy). I am glad this professional, clean, and organized place is close to me and I will DEFINITELY bring my dog back again. This business truly is a gem in the South Bronx!

Went in for the first time today to get a grooming and temperament test for future boarding. The grooming was fine and a good price, recommended. Now for the annoying part: My dog passed the temperament test with flying colors, but I was told she still can’t be boarded for my trip coming up (wasn’t told this on the phone). Apparently they require doggy daycare FIVE TIMES before allowing the actual boarding. I don’t need someone to take care of my dog when I’m in town. On to the next place unfortunately.FYI: This is about an F1 Medium Cream Goldendoodle that wouldn’t hurt a fly…

I wanted to wait a couple weeks before reviewing to get the feels of it but Bronx Barx is the best daycare in the Boogie Down, my Goldendoodle Tommy LOVES this place. Pick up and drop off saves my life, as a New York entrepreneur, life can get complicated and this just makes my day a little less stressful. The grooming is excellent, my doggy smells amazing whenever he gets groomed. The staff? AMAZING, Renzo is super nice and thorough answers all my questions every time, and Majestic it’s literally like her name. She’s always soo upbeat and great energy, she’s very attentive and same answers all my questions. I am a new dog owner and this place has played a very important part in this journey. Took my Yorkie for a Grooming and by far the worst grooming she has ever had. The groomer completely don’t follow directions. And now my baby have to walk around looking like a rat. It’s just horrible. Please don’t get your pet groomed by them

My pup was scheduled for his third visit today. His assessment and previous two visits went spectacular. John and the assistant manager knew exactly how to care for my pup. But today the owner, Renzo (I believe that’s his name), and a female employee were working and within 5 minutes of leaving I was called by the owner notifying me that my pup had growled at the female employee and he did not feel comfortable having my pup there. I was shocked considering how well my pup had done on his assessment and previous visits. I learned that my pup did not want to go into a fenced area and that the female employee had tried to pull him into the fenced area by the collar. I did not understand why they thought that was okay to do especially considering what I wrote in my pups profile… I then learned that the owner had not read my pup’s profile. When I asked why he hadn’t read it his response was “I have 3 businesses and 100 dogs. I’m too busy.” I was shocked. Not only did I my pup have food allergies but there was other important information there that I spent a good hour writing about. Please beware before sending your dog here.

My puppy (5mo, Basenji) and I love BB. Their service model is very attentive to the client’s needs, convenient and reasonably priced. I had my girl dropped off to my home and she seems to love being in daycare. We will definitely be returning for other services in the future.

I absolutely loved the vibe & all the space. They are easy to communicate with. However, my furry companion failed his temperament test! So no playtime for him.

Bronx Barx is the perfect one stop shop for all dog needs. My sweet boy Ziggy has been going to their daycare program since he was three months old and he is now 3. I found a Bronx Barx flyer at Pelham Bay Park Dog Park and am so glad I did! I took my 7 month old puppy here for daycare and then 3 nights of boarding. The staff took such good care of him, kept up with his training, and went out of their way to make sure he was able to get out all his puppy energy! Harley came home happy and sleepy! They were always available to answer my questions or just give me an update on how my puppy was doing. The live webcams were so fun to watch to and made me feel so comfortable. Thank you so much Bronx Barx! You’re our go to spot for daycare and boarding!

The facilities, service and care at Bronx Barx are amazing! My dog went in for grooming and received the best care (& cut) shes had in a very long time at a groomer/pet care location. Definitely recommend the grooming and general care at Bronx Barx!

Bronx Barx was a life saver! We needed to board our anxious older dog (9 yo) during moving on very short notice and Renzo came through. Our old boy had a blast! I know our dog had a better three-day weekend than we could have provided. Thanks to Bronx Barx and staff, we didnt have to worry about our dog while moving!

Renzo and Steven are incredible. I cannot recommend Bronx Barx highly enough. They treat the dogs like their own and Lamb Chop couldnt wait to get in the door each morning. He would come back happy and exhausted from a full day of play. I was always given a full report of his day or overnight stays. I knew he was is great hands while I was away or at work. We sadly moved away from the neighborhood and I doubt well find a new spot that can compare with Bronx Barx!

We just got our dog (Sammy) back from a week long stay at Bronx Barx, and he looks great. Hes happy, calm, and the same weight he was when we dropped him off. Weve used other doggie day cares where he returned looking skinny, unhappy, and a little skiddish. Renzo knows dogs and takes their care seriously, were really happy hes opened a much needed dog boarding place near us.

I never had a dog before and I have the worst anxiety. Renzo and the team have never made me feel so amazing. I love that I am always able to what she’s up to on the web cam.The groomer is amazing, my dog LOVES going there, and I couldn’t be happier. There are no words enough to thank them for all that they do.

I typically never leave negative reviews as they can be detrimental to a business, but my dog is now on anxiety medication and still dealing with PTSD from his Bronx Barx’s haircut.On November 11,2023, i dropped off my dog for his grooming appointment, this was his first time at this location but he gets groomed regularly with another groomer. I let the staff know how i typically like my dog’s hair cut and asked them not to cut the hair on his ears. When I got back my dog was completely shaved including his ears. The staff did not explain why he had to be shaved or if anything happened during his appointment. After arriving home i noticed both his ears had been cut open and had only stopped bleeding because the blood dried up.I thought it was just a small cut until I wake up the next morning with blood all over my apartment and all over my dog’s neck. After an emergency vet visit, I was told my dog was likely uncomfortable because of the pain and scratched the dry blood off. because if this incident he had to be on antibiotics and wear a cone for 2 weeks.I understand accidents happen but staff should disclose these types of incidents with clients. My dog now has to take anxiety medication to get groomed because he tries to bite the groomers when they touch his ears. Which is why I am forced to write a review as this has affected my dog’s personality and aggression.Not only did this cost an extra medical bill, it also has traumatized my dog and made him not trust groomers.Bronx Barx needs to hire professionally trained groomers who can communicate and put dog’s safety first.

We only trust our son (Bernie) with Renzo, Steven and the Bronx Barx team. Theyre very responsible and super caring with the dogs and their space is great for your pup to socialize and have a good time. If I could leave more than 5 stars... I would do it!

I had to choose a star, otherwise they will get NONE!!!!!Took my dogs, Chloe (Maltese) and Bella (Yorkie), to get groomed today. Had two separate appts, 1pm and 2pm. Upon arrival we were greeted, very friendly by Renzo and he had the groomer Christina speak with us regarding the cut we desired. I asked what time we should pick up our dogs, considering they mentioned they were a little behind because they were busy, maybe 3:30 ? I was told more like 4pm, they would call when they were ready. I said ok, 4 came and went and I had not heard from them. At 4:30 I called to check on them and was told by Christina they had not been cut yet and as soon as she gets to them it should be quick but she gave them water. At this point my concern was for my dogs. They had been in a cage for all those hours, did they eat? were they walked? any water? Christina said, I told you we were busy. When she did not like my response she put Renzo on the phone. I mentioned this is not a good way to run a business, he said ok so tell me what I can do to make YOU -with emphasis- happy. I decided to go and pick up my dogs. At this point they had been there for approximately 4 hours. They did not take accountability for their actions. They pointed the finger at us, the client, repeating we told you we were busy and you had two dogs. As I mentioned to them, the fact that I had two dogs is irrelevant considering they were booked on two separate time slots. On their website they have 6 open time slots, starting at 9am last appt at 2pm with an hour in between each time slot. There is no way or reason why they should be so far behind that at 4:30 dogs are still waiting to be groomed. My dogs panted and Chloe cried all the way home. When we got home, they both went straight to the water which leads me to believe they were not given water. I am not making this up. I mentioned to both Christina and Renzo that my dogs get anxious. My heart aches. Chloe and Bella may not have been important enough to both Christina and Renzo, but they are part of my family. We love them just as much as we love our children/grandchildren. So yes, we feel they couldve handled everything a little differently. What went wrong? They were negligent and in complete disregard about our feelings.

I took my Shih Tzu here for a grooming service and I am beyond satisfied with the service she looks amazing. The environment was friendly plus the pricing was reasonable, the owner Renzo was so welcoming thank you so much for bringing quality dog care to the Bronx I wish you many years of success.

This Place is Amazing and THEY LOVE YOUR DOG!My baby Rumi is always so excited to go to Daycare.As soon as we arrive to drop him off his tail starts to wag and hes so happy to go play with his furry friends in DayCare.He gets to play in a fun and safe environment and by the time he gets home he just wants to snuggle and sleep.They also have live feed Cameras that are so helpful and if youre like me and miss your fur baby you can see him playing anytime and having a good time with the other pups :)Renzo and the staff are amazing and the facility is super clean and very well maintained.Thank you for having such a great place for our little fury baby to call his second home :)

Great place to keep your dog occupied while youre at work or running errands. There is a webcam feed where you can watch your dog and see how its doing. They also offer grooming and boarding services here.

This is just the beginning of my journey with them. My Bella is a lot to take at first sometimes but they took it in stride and were very nice about everything. So far so good.

I had the luxury to bring my 7 month beagle in for a temperament test and a quick bath. Majestic was amazing she let my pup take her time adjusting to the new environment instead of just putting her in a room and letting them go crazy. We dropped her off at 11:10 for her test and then picked her up at 1 once she was all clean and beautiful. Can’t wait to bring her in for daycare.

Best dog groomers in the bx.

I picked up my dog Charlie from Bronx Barx today after a four night stay and will definitely be bringing him back for daycare, boarding, and grooming! Charlie has a variety of medications that he is required to take and they had no problem keeping him on track with these (this is always something I worry about when leaving him places). The facility is also super clean!! I loved being able to log onto the camera and see exactly what Charlie was up to throughout his stay there. When I came to pick him up Charlie ran up to me excited to see me but also kept running back to the owner to get some pets. I am so happy to have found a place near home that I trust!

Percy LOVES coming here. We’ve used them for boarding, day care, and grooming and I only have positive things to say about them. Renzo and his team put heart into everything that they do and I recommend this place to everyone!

My Family and I went on vacation for a week and decided to board our Yorkshire Terrier, Brooklyn at Bronx Barx . I love how attentive, loving and caring they were with her. I also loved the fact that I was able to check in at anytime on the web cam, it gave my family and I a sense of relief. I would definitely Board Brooklyn there again with no hesitation. I took Lucky for a temperament test and grooming. I love this place. Lucky spent a few hours there, it was his first time around other dogs and while he is still a little shy he was exhausted and I was very happy with his grooming. I cant wait to bring him back for daycare

Bronx Barx has saved us! Grizz the dog has almost finished his first week and I cannot stop raving about the service. Having a dog with separation anxiety and hates being home alone has been a difficult challenge. When we moved to the Bronx it was a major worry about what we would do with Grizz during the day. We have been piecing together sitters/time off/ having him alone for short periods. I searched again for what we can do and Bronx Barx site popped up! They are new addition to the South Bronx and they came just in time! With an awesome van for pickup and drop-off, very friendly staff who clearly love dogs and super helpful and responsive Co-Owners of the business, it has been a dream to know my dog in is great and capable hands in a beautiful new facility. The website is great and even has a webcam! This is the place for anyone who wants to socialize their dogs, not worry about relief walks…. and for us to know that our dog eagerly gets up and runs to the door when we say “Want to go to daycare?” Thank you Bronx Barx so so much.
