My boy Goose loves going with the Well Rounded Hound team for the day! The days of the week he’s going with them, he’s constantly looking out the window for the bus to arrive. You can tell this crew loves the dogs they look after every day. My dog gets to socialize with other pups while spending all morning and afternoon outside.. the pick up and drop off service is so great! The staff is super friendly and patient with my hyper boy. I can’t say enough good things, my dog always comes back home nice and pooped!

The staff (and the dogs) of Well Rounded Hound are wonderful. They are very professional, conscientious and well-organized, and they are very friendly and warm - toward people and dogs alike! Our dog LOVES going out with them. They provide exceptional service. And it is so reassuring for us to know that if we need to go out of town and board our dog, she can board with the Well Rounded Hound crew and be in excellent, loving hands while were away. This is absolutely a 5-star service!

Well Rounded Hound is a joyful business that gives dogs the walks and the community they need while you are at work. The staff genuinely cares for the animals, and the dogs go out to parks, and dog runs in the area for hours on end, and get the chance to run around and interact. Our active pup loves the time to run around, and gives us a piece of mind when we cant be home. The dogs are grouped by energy level to accommodate for your dogs preferred level of activity.

I cant speak more highly of Well Rounded Hound and the owner Ron and his staff. I feel incredibly comfortable leaving my dog with them on extended vacations. I know that my dog is well loved, goes for long walks in the country and has a huge yard to run around in. The staff also pick up my dog and drop him off when we return. I know my pup is in good hands because when he returns home he is happy and not stressed and initially wants to be petted by those who took care of him as much as us. Ron is a real animal lover and is incredibly responsible, trustworthy and consistent. I hit the jackpot finding Well Rounded Hound.

Well Rounded Hound is one of the best dog care teams I have ever experienced! They are extremely attentive, flexible, and genuinely love your dog as one of their own. My 2 year old pup is exhausted after her half-day excursions and stays fit and happy all because of her amazing Well Rounded Family!

The Well Rounded Hound is an excellent doggie daycare service operating in the Riverdale neighborhood in the Bronx and surrounding areas. Ron, Jackie and their wonderful team have been taking loving care of my Bonnie a Scottish Terrier for the past 2.5 years since I adopted her. She absolutely loves her time with the other dogs and the team who provide recreation, socialization and exercise each day. Jackie, Ron and the team are extremely dedicated, caring individuals who love dogs and take wonderful care of them. I am so happy my friend referred me to well rounded hound! The people are so wonderful with the dogs especially with my Bella. I never had any issues with anyone or with the other dogs. In the beginning, I even tracked Bella to see if she was ok. And of course she was having the best time ever. I communicate a lot with Jackie and she is absolutely the best. They way she greets the dogs and says goodbye to them is so cute. I couldn’t be happier and neither can Bella. I highly recommend them.

Well-Rounded Hound is the reason I can have a dog in Riverdale. I have had three dogs over the past many years - a rambunctious Boxer, an even more rambunctious French Bulldog, and now a young German Shepherd. Each of my dogs go off with Well-Rounded hound in the morning, and return in the late afternoon having had a full day of socialization and exercise. I return home (or they make working from home possible) to a dog that is happy, pleasantly tired, and well-cared for.My dogs have all boarded with Well-Rounded Hound as well, many times. Once I came to pick up Seth, my Frenchie, and found him lying under a puddle of baby chicks, basking in the incubator light. Another time I found him cuddled up with a kitten - even though he chases our cat around the apartment. Ivy, our current dog, loves to herd the heirloom turkeys, or quietly follow the chickens.Everyone who works for Well-Rounded Hound loves dogs, and pays attention to them. I often find out about any little ailment first, by getting a text during the day, that I should check on something. Ron is a dog whisperer. The boarding stays helped train my young dog.I cannot say enough good things about Well Rounded Hound. Whether you are getting a leash walk, a half day, a full day, or boarding, they will be your pet-partner.

Weve been using Well Rounded Hound for doggy daycare and boarding while we travel since we moved to Spuyten Duyvil back in 2018. The owner Ron came to assess our first dog, a corgi named Einstein, when we first messaged them about their service. Hes a kind man and really loves dogs, so we felt very comfortable joining their service thereafter.The fact that they actually pick up/drop off our pup has been so convenient, and their staff are wonderful with the dogs. Our current dog Hopper is a rescue and is generally suspicious of people, and we were a little concerned with how she reacted to strangers, so they came to meet her with a dog trainer they have on staff to evaluate her temperament. He gave us a good rundown of her initial behavior to help us understand her a little better. Hopper loves Jackie, who coordinates the daily walks, so much, shes beside herself with excitement every time she comes to pick her up.When the dogs go to boarding, they sometimes take a cute doggy bus up to what Ron calls the Fancypants Hotel, and they even have an Instagram account so you can see photos of your dog playing with other pups during their stay. They also have a Facebook account where daycare/daily walk photos are sometimes posted. Its always great to have photo evidence of the pups having a good time.Theyre also extremely understanding and accommodating when possible. When our first dog Einstein was going through chemo treatments for intestinal lymphoma, they worked with us to take him for half-day sessions with the rest of the dogs when he had the energy to do so, even dealing with his doggy diaper and replacing it when he got home. When we had to let him go after he had a bad reaction to a final, last-ditch chemo treatment, they were very supportive and clearly cared for him a lot, which meant a lot to us during that difficult time.If youre in the Riverdale area, I highly recommend their service. Theyre extremely kind, wonderful with the dogs, and flexible, accommodating, and easy to work with when needed. Im grateful to them for all they did for Einstein, especially when he was sick, and all they continue to do for us and for Hopper.

Our dog loves and craves the social contact she gets by being with other dogs. This service is dependable, reliable, affordable and considers the safety and well being of my dog above all else. Our energetic little terrier is much healthier mentally and physically because of this service!

My puppy can’t wait to get on the bus in the mornings and go on excursions with all of her new doggie friends! Jackie is fantastic and goes above and beyond to make certain my puppy’s needs are met while in her care. I would highly recommend Well Rounded Hound!!!

Amazing, friendly service. Very reliable. They take the dogs to parks, and on adventures. Boarding is flexible, affordable, and the dogs get to vacation on an upstate doggie heaven. Ron, Jackie and the rest of the staff are incredible with the dogs, and show so much love and care. Our dog loves going and comes back energized and happy.
