I adopted a beautiful 7month old kitty named Lilo today Nov 2,2024. I got her home and opened the box she had this shine in her eyes. I let her come out of the box on her own and she came right up to me stretching out asking to be held. Wow.. she explored for a bit never tired to hide and not skittish at all. Loves everyone. Comes when called and loves to cuddle. I picked a winner THANKYOU to the staff at Greece ridge for taking good care of Lilo while she was there. She has made herself at home and will be shown nothing but love.
I adopted a kitten today. Let’s not talk about the endless waiting times. He is only 2 months old but they said he was neutered. As a very experienced cat owner, I have never heard that cats are allowed to be spayed or neutered younger than 6 months. They told me this situation only after I paid the adoption fees. And his faeces is pale white and I’m pretty sure that’s not healthy faeces should look like.
I hate this rating but it is so accurate. Second time with same issue, EVERY dog suite except ONE was closed, locked and stated Staff Only. The one dog I was interested in was locked inside one of these suites. I inquired at the desk and was told the dog was not located in the system??? How badly do they want homes for these dogs??? In addition could not view ONE cat as every cage is covered with a privacy screen. I will never haul myself out here again, so disappointed for the animals that are set up to NOT be adopted.
Did not have a good experience here. Me and my fiance have been very excited to grow our family and adopt a dog. We drove 45 and visited lollypop farm in hopes of interacting with and viewing the available dogs we had seen on the website. Upon arrival, no staff members greeted us nor asked if we needed any help. All of the kennels were locked and labeled “staff only” making it impossible for us to look at the dogs. At this point, multiple employees had walked right past us and not one of them stopped to help or ask if we had questions, but instead, they double checked that all the doors were locked to make sure we didn’t go look at any pups. We were very disappointed with the service here, it seemed as though the staff would rather lock all the dogs away than do their jobs and assist a family looking to save one of those dogs.
I adopted an older cat named Kaos, he is very vocal and affectionate. Im grateful and wanted to thank whomever paid his adoption fees. Its just myself and him. Kaos will be pampered and loved; strictly inside housecat. As for Lollypop Farms I give them five stars, they made sending Kaoss medical records to my vet easy.
Went to lollypop Oct 28 2024 to adopt a kitten named pinecone was a little black longhair female she was in the back room they said due to stress just came from Greece store I went to see her and definitely decided to adopt her the counselor said she had diarrhea due to stress and I was sent home with medication well the next day after the adoption pinecone started crying and throwing up and started to have more Diarrhea I did call lollipop the vet said to bring her back I told her I had a appointment with my vet Thursday the county vet at this time upon her vet visit she was examined and found a lump and had to have a X-ray and was given antibiotics I then called lollipop and talked to the vet about the situation so my 240 dollar adoptive kitten is now over 700 they said they were if I return the cat, they would give him my adoption fee back but then again here I am stuck with a $500 bill through the Country Vet. I’m very disgusted with lollipop. I’m pretty sure they knew that they gave me a sick cat and she still has diarrhea and throwing up till this day I will be calling them and doing further investigation to get some of my money back. I know it’s my responsibility to take care of a newly adopted kitten but I think there’s way more wrong with this kitten than what I was told I’m not impressed but I love her I’m just hoping she gets better I’m a senior citizen and on limited income this is very unfair to me
Get Louie in 2 hours. Hes such an angel! 😇100% recommendation.**Update: Louie got familiar with me and his new home literally in 2 hours, now hes letting me petting his belly. Without being taken care by Lollypops stuffs, theres no way he could fit in so well. Thanks to all of you!
It was underwhelming, to say the least. We didnt see much on the farm. The positive is that we got our steps in walking around the mini farm.
I got my perfect kitten Phoebe from a foster who got all of her vaccinations and such done at Lollypop! She is absolutely amazing and all of the documents and forms were very organized. Thank you!!
They cant fix my cat for us but they can for money. If you need proof ur cat was simon hes 7 years old. Not just that we are on there black list for give them simon but we couldnt keep him so we were forst to give them him.
Just adopted Mimi today. A quick and easy process, Lollypop Farms gave us all the necessary paperwork and a few days worth of food - along with a bunch of other vet resources and store coupons. Mimi is especially friendly and has very quickly adjusted to her new home. She took about 10 minutes exploring our living room and kitchen before she was ready for play time! After eating a good bowl of food and drinking quite a bit of water, she’s settling in for a nap on the couch, as you can see. We couldn’t be happier to have Mimi as a part of the family!
We walked around the walking path to see the animals. Lots of the animals were far and hard to see but it is a pleasant walk. There’s a book spread out through the path. My baby saw: pigs, horses, cows, goats, emus, turtles. At the adoption center we saw some cats, turtles, bunnies, mice. We also bought some toys for our dog there.
Ive loved lollipop farm all of my life and have even adopted from there... I was so excited to hear that they were undergoing renovations to their farm area... The other day though I drove by and seen a large portion of what USED TO BE forest and meadow booming with wildlife next to the farm, CUT DOWN for their new ... um, expansion. So they love animals SO much , but only farm animals when they can profit off of them , but NOT wildlife?!This has got to be one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen in all of my life!!!!!!!! Taking the homes of so many animals away... an entire eco system for MONEY! THE LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL! Nothing surprises me any more with humanity. I WILL NEVER GO BACK.THIS WILL CERTAINLY HÄUNT THOSE RESPONSIBLE ....GOD SEES ALL.
The staff here is not nice or welcoming at all! My fiancé and I drove an hour away only to be told we are only able to look at three dogs. My fiancé and I are very understanding folks yet the tone and attitude we received from the staff was unacceptable and inappropriate. I hope all of these dogs find a home soon.
All I can say is please go adopt as many of these poor souls as you can but do not bring another animal in there. lollypop farm is a high kill shelter and will euthanize to make room and save money. I just cant put my trust into a place that has no problem making that decision, frequently. Euthanasia is to end pain and suffering. At lollypop farm thats usually not the case. I know in my heart there are good souls that work there and take care of those animals that unfortunately end up there and I know they try their best to get them adopted, those people arent making those decisions. Its the people above them that dont have to see and bond with these animals before they are killed for no reason. So, since avoiding this place will only kill more of these animals, the best thing we can do here is get those poor animal souls out of there in happy, loving forever homes. I personally would never bring an animal in that place ever. But if you are looking for a lifetime friendship, Please go here and get them out of there 🙏 💔
Found someone’s cat without a collar. Family called and verified that it was their cat. Told that they will never see their pet again and that it was going to be fostered out or put down for a “no kill shelter” that’s a wild threat. Absolutely disgusting to hold someone’s pet hostage!
This place is amazing! The whole experience was just smooth and very organized. I would highly recommend getting any new family members from here. This is our story....We recently added a new member to our family. His name is Diesel and he is just the missing puzzle piece that we needed. He is definitely a big lap dog (at 79 lbs) and we adopted him from Lollypop Farm. We looked at a couple of other dogs but I kept coming back to him. He really looked sad and just wanted some love. We requested a meet and greet once we realized that he would adapt well in our home. Lollypop told us that our big guy didnt like toys, but when he comes in the meet and greet he grabs a toy and starts chowing down. He had so much personality explode out that I was hooked. We definitely had found our newest member. They provided vaccinations, microchipping, toys, food, collar, and a vet visit free! Diesel has been a wonderful addition to our family and we couldnt be happier. My son tells everyone he has a new brotherPlease dont get upset when they tell you that an animal wont be the best fit for your family. They are placing these fur babies in homes that will work with the animals personality, not yours. They want what is best for them, not you. Understand that.
I went to Lollipop West yesterday and met a very kind worker. She was so helpful. I brought home a 9 year old cat and she is wonderful.Thank you for taking her in so I could have this wonderful creature in my life.
Great family friendly place to visit with animals. Staff could be more helpful with questions and being friendly. The animals are the love of the farm. Supporting our animal friends so a home can be found for them and they can be showered with love🌺💓😺
I really enjoyed my visit to Lollypop Farms. The animals appeared to be well taken care of, and the workers look out for their health (you cant just pet most of the animals, a way to prevent the spread of any illness). I personally found this to be a bummer as I love petting animals, but I understood why. You can pet the goats though, which is a great experience for all ages. The goats themselves are quite friendly, and love to be pet! Walking around the outdoor trail and seeing the larger animals (horses, pigs, ducks, large birds, etc.) was very nice
I scheduled my cat up to be spayed by lollipop farm but when I had a conflict and needed to reschedule my appointment, their spay department was no help. They give you this 233-1330 with an extension of 170 to call if you need help rescheduling and I spent the whole week trying to reach someone! That line only sends you straight to voicemail and never gets you through to a real person. I needed up having to miss the appointment and loosing my deposit because of this. Why have that number down for help if no one is there to answer the phone!?
Dogs are great but staff isn’t. Gave me the stupidest reason to not adopt “she just stared at our puppy” and because of that they decided we wasn’t a good fit? There’s more to it
Im 34 years old. On my 7th birthday I adopted my dog April (then known as Chloe), a black lab / Brittany mix, from Lollypop Farm. April was a young puppy at the time and lived 14 years from the date of her adoption. She quickly became my best friend. In fact, at some times during my childhood, she was my only source of comfort. One of my favourite memories is how she would walk down the hallway every night, stopping in every bedroom of the house to make sure every member of the family was okay before walking back to her crate to go back to sleep. To this day, I have never met a better dog.Thank you for making that possible, and Im glad to see that youre able to continue that mission all these years later! To anyone considering adopting through Lollypop Farm, please do.
Lollypop Farm is a caring and special place for many animals like the one we adopted and named Mr. Blue he was rescued by Lollypop workers when people in a metro-Rochester neighborhood said they had seen him wandering around and no one had claimed him as their pet. When I first saw Mr. Blue at Lollypop, he seemed scared, yet allowed me to pet him. When my husband came to meet him he nearly jumped into my husbands arms. We have had Mr. Blue for 2 1/2 years now. He remains very loving and close toward my husband and now is loving toward me too. He lets me know when he would like me to give him a Greenie treat and now lets me know when he would like me to brush him. The anxiety he initially showed by frequently throwing up still happens when there are unusual noises outside our house or people with whom he is not familiar. We give him a diet that is easier to digest with pumpkin that he seems to very much enjoy it. He is a very aware, playful and loving kitty. We are so very happy we adopted Mr. Blue who was 5 or 6 years old when we adopted him.
Very understanding and compassionate people. i went in thinking i’d have to surrender my cat due to accidents, but they offered to help me get him neutered for an affordable price. i am so happy and grateful.
This place used to be great. They closed the petting zoo part of it and let it become all over grown. Dont even have many animals for adoption. Dont waste your time coming here unless you want to adopt a cat
Last January, we adopted our dog, Carter from Lollypop. Shortly after getting him, it turned out he had heartworms though he tested negative at the shelter. Lollypop refused to pay for treatment as he was negative there. Our vet has ever had a shelter refuse treatment. Shes had clients that their dogs have gotten heartworm years afterwards and the shelter they were adopted from paid for the treatment. My vet couldnt get through to the shelter. When I got through, I was told that that I would be transferred to their clinic. I never was. Weve also been given the run around on some of the information on Carter that weve asked about multiple times. Its been a nightmare dealing with Lollypop. Carter just finished his treatment and is back to his normal self.
Wonderful! The Humane Society of Monroe County. Homeless animals available to good homes.
Awful. Do not donate. They refused to help a helpless cat. They take money in donations and kill the cats or refuse them. These scums bags should be in cages not the animals
Lollipop takes in animals and don’t verify if the owner is who brings them in.., They made things for my friends extremely difficult in dealing with a surrender of a kitten. Do not go here
A friend is having her dog put down today and was told several times that nobody is allowed to be with her dog when she is put down. How is a Humane society that supposedly loves animals, prohibits even one family member to be with their beloved pet when it is put down. It is unthinkable. I used an in home service for my dog, but other people do not have that option and need to use Lollypop. I know they are busy, so even a 15 min. time limit is better than nothing. How sad that they take dog away from family and do not let them in. However, if they want to return to buy a dog, you bet they are allowed in. Hope people go to their vet or in home services for a humane treatment.
They recommended me a cat that is NOT friendly towards other cats or male humans . I’ve tried slowly introducing this shelter cat to my other cat with no luck in over a week at this point .
Great organization with many facets, including rescue of many species of animals, all creatures great and small.
Nice place good seeing all the animals out
I found 6 kittens emaciated and flea ridden. My family took them in gave them baths and treated them. I reached out and was given a call back about snip program. I stated scenario and said website says 90 for females 25$ non refundable deposit. I asked is there any other way to help with situation? Other than 90x6=540 plus deposits for 6 cats is 150$. She told me 25 is part of 90 were not trying to be sneaky and the cost is already significantly reduced. I said wouldnt you want to help more by keeping cats off of streets? I was met with robotic responsesregurgitated
Disgusting place they kill their pets here !!! My friend lost her cat and found it to be there and wouldn’t even let them readopt it they basically said they couldn’t allow it and she’d be getting put down if they can’t rehome her!!!
I waited an hour and a half to meet a Guinea pig that I listed on my application. When I met with the counselor, she said all the Guinea pigs in the cage (3) had to be adopted together. Wish this was listed on the cage or that my application was read so I didn’t get my hopes up and wait-I have always had Guinea pigs and don’t know anyone that would buy three at once. I feel really bad that I could have walked out with an awesome pet to care for… now I just wonder what becomes of them. I don’t think this is the spot for small animals and there should be some signs on the cage so you know what you’re getting into!
Ive had the pleasure to adopt at cat from lollypop, the staff is always professional, courteous, and helpful, and its clear their priority is the safety and wellbeing of the animals there. They helped me find my best friend, Nugget, when I went to adopt a cat I had a few cats in mind, however, none of them seemed to be a good fit in person, so the staff brainstormed for a moment recommended a different cat and it was love at first site! Ive had Nugget ever since then. I highly recommend and support this shelter.
Do NOT bring animals here my friend recently brought her pet to this farm and it was never returned to her. They do not care about owners pets once theyve entered.
Beautiful facility. So many animals that need some love. Thank you for doing what you do.
Im disgusted by lolly pop farm. By their lies and being misled into thinking that this is the best place...because its NOTMy mother and I brought our loved cat Tippy and her 6 kittens to lolly pop because of the good reviews weve heard. I thought this was a shelter where they did not kill the animals. Which was NOT the case, we couldnt keep 6 kittens, so we decided that it would be best to bring them here to get a nice home. We brought tippy the mother of the kittens for the ride and comfort for the kittens that were only 4 weeks old. NOT planning on giving her away. When getting there, we were told that it would be best to keep the mother with the kittens because they were too young to be away from her. So we surrendered her. I didnt want to, but they assured us that we could come back in about 4 weeks to get the Tippy back, we knew that she could get adopted, but we took that chance. We were told that they would spay her and wait until the kittens were old enough and at least 2 pounds until they put them up for adoption. I asked for reassurance if they would utilize them. What I was told was only if they have a life-threatening disease(like Lyme disease). We came back about 5 weeks later and were told that tippy and all 6 kittens were killed... due to time and space !!??? I was torn my mother was torn..it makes me so upset! That we were lied to, they killed our family cat that we now have to lie to my 5 year old niece that Tippy has a better home.I mean the least they could have done was reach out to us to let us know that there is no space. NO innocent animal deserves to be killed!!! Im truly heartbroken and disgusted that this company has a reputation in our community for being a good place, BECAUSE IT IS NOT!!!! THERE IS NOTHING HUMANE ABOUT KILLING INNOCENT ANIMALS, FOR NO REASON AT ALL !!!
Volunteered here for years (cats, horses) and learned more than I expected to! Very high level animal care and behavior help. Then I fostered and adopted two cats. Was treated so individually and given so much.
What a wonderful staff and amazing people they have working there! The woman Suzie that showed me my kitten told us the price and we were a little weary but then decided to adopt the cat which we thought was a girl and I was at the pet store when she called and told me I would be getting my kitten for free because of a mix up and that he was actually the male of the two cats. Mind you I didn’t mind paying because I already had but the fact that they called and told me and refunded my money just shows it is an honest shelter that truly cares about their animals finding good homes! Our new companion is home now bringing so much joy to my 5 year old son! And he’s the most precious little kitten ever! I highly recommend lollipop farm if I adopt another animal it will only be through them! Thank you lollipop for the amazing experience oh and not to mention the kitten came fixed and vaccinated!!!! So happy with the outcome of our trip there. *update* since we adopted our kitten I’ve needed some paperwork I misplaced or didn’t have and they got back to me with everything I needed the SAME day both times! And today I was on a time crunch and sure enough they came through with what I needed even though they opened late in the day! They still sent everything along AND called me to make sure I got it! This place is absolutely amazing and the staff truly cares for the animals even when they leave the facility! Again thank you our kitten is wonderful and loving! Even adjusted so wonderful to my 5 year old!
There was an injured young cat visiting us for several months. We borrowed a gentle trap & took her to Lollypop Farm. The intake person was so kind & understanding. She explained the entire process to us.They have an Amazon wish list for those who want to help them. We just received new towels, so we donated our clean & gently used towels.
We love lollypop farm! Always a joy to go and see the animals. I wish I could adopt them all! Highly recommend.
I went with my son to look at a cat to adopt on the free day of adoption. It was very well organized thanks to volunteer Judy we had a good experience but my son did not find a kitty to adopt at this time so well be back. Thank you for the great experience
Thank you for so much for taking care of my dog while I was in the hospital for an emergency shes doing great and Im very happy thank you thank you thank.
I adopted Ali Saturday the 15th august. After loosing both my elderly kitties this summer 60 days apart. I didn’t want to adopt anymore. My kitties were 15 and 17 years old both from lollipop. Anyway I adopted Ali and Wednesday was very concerned called lollipop about X-rays taken. They asked me to bring in i did. Re took X-rays. She’s fine JANE. What a wonderful person explained all things reassuring manor. Wonderful place. Donating I see all the animals dropped off. One person brought 8 cats in. They never refuse. They work hard and compassion is obvious. God bless this organization. Sue wood
We got a dog for our family specifically my son who loves animals. She attacked my son and he was very lucky not to lose his eye. He was monitored and just tried to pet her and was attacked in the first few days. She obviously cannot be in the house since she is aggressive and violent to children. We tried giving her the benefit of the doubt and rehome her with someone who would never have children around since she was fine with adult males. When no one wanted her, and it started getting cold, we tried rescues and shelters, all who said she could not be rehomed or even taken in due to history of a vicious attack. I contacted the county to figure out what I was supposed to do and they said she needed to be euthanized by a private vet due to the attack. No private vets would do it because they weren’t taking new patients and wouldn’t see a dog at all that was a new patient, we called every single vet in Wayne county, Monroe county, and even out in Penn Yan which was the suggestion of Verona street. Every single one said to contact lollypop for euthanasia. The lady who did the behavioral euthanasia form agreed euthanasia would definitely be on the table with all of her behavior and they would call in a few days after the pictures and form was reviewed. Lollypop called back and said “there’s no evidence for euthanasia”. THIS is why people dump pets. Vets and even shelters that are supposed to be there as a last resort option are refusing to take dogs or handle situations. Glad to see they don’t value the safety of humans OR animals. YOU lollypop are the reason for this mess. I will be informing the vets and county about this joke of a “shelter”.
As much as I wanted to leave a good review I can’t. I saw a kitten we wanted to adopt online & called to confirm she was still there. I was told she wasn’t adopted so I drove all the way across town with my 10 yr old daughter. When We arrived I was told the kitten was adopted. I couldn’t understand it because I had just called an hour prior. My daughter was literally in tears. Not a good experience for us at all.
We had an appointment and they took us right in on time. The staff is amazing. Everyone cares about their job. They genuinely care about the animals. They do their best job to try to match the animals with the customer. We found about three cats that were of interest. The best cat for us was matched perfectly. She loves us and we love her. Very happy
I know Lollypop does a lot for animals and the community. But we had a poor experience adopting our kitty and it left us disappointed and frustrated.Last week we brought home Hazel. The employee explained to my wife that the cat had an allergy/skin condition and was on a special diet. Our daughters heart was set on her, and it didnt sound like an issue. The employee specifically said her food could be bought at PetSaver and that she was NOT allowed dry food.Okay, great so far.We were given a couple cans of her food and when my wife got home, she noticed it said it was a Veterinary Exclusive and a prescription food. When I went to PetSaver over the weekend, they of course did NOT carry it, like we feared. Our vet appointment wasnt until Monday, so we werent sure what to feed her. I called Lollypop and while they were nice enough to give us a couple more cans to get us through, I had to drive an hour to pick it up and was almost late to my nephews graduation party. The first lady I tried to talk to at the counter was reading a book and refused to look up. After a minute, I went around the side and talked to another woman, who had the bag of food. She quickly pointed out that we signed a medical release form, which had no bearing on our issue. She then admitted the employee did remember telling us we could buy the food at the store, but was wrong. Finally, she said there was also a bag of dry food for us. I explained we were told the cat wasnt allowed dry food, and she just stared at me and reiterated what was in the bag. Come to find out after the vet visit, the dry food was the same as the wet food, and after a call back to Lollypop...she WAS eating dry food while there. Not only that, we were given the wrong information about how much food to feed her so she was practically starving the first couple days. The vet has since fixed her diet and she has been a happy, well fed kitty.Again, I know Lollypop does so much good and one bad experience isnt the norm. But it was OUR bad experience. The next time were ready for another furry friend, we will search elsewhere. The lack of attention to detail wasnt just an inconvenience to us, it was potentially harmful to our new friend.
I went to a lollipop farm with my kids to adopt either a cat or kitten today for their free adoption event, didn’t matter what kind of gender it was at that point, they said that I was denied adoption because I made a irate comment Tuesday at Webster Pet Supplies Plus about female kitten that I wanted. As of and told them that I had my 4 year old son who has autism and I didn’t seem to care at all … I said that I was sorry for my actions on Tuesday ….Right now I’m at a lawyer office to file a lawsuit against… lollipop with staff regret put me on the do not adopt list… They treat me with no dignity or respect …
I just recently adopted Stella a four year old pitbull mix and she is the most wonderful precious lovable dog that I have ever had. She gets along well with my older dog at home she loves everybody...shes good in the car, not aggressive at all. Shes a blessing and Im thankful and grateful to have been able to adopt her. The staff at Lollypop is exceptional and took great care with me and Stella. Thank you all at Lollypop!Sue Schwartz
Its a beautiful facility, we have adopted several cats and dogs over the years from them. It can be a bit hard to get a hold of staff, especially on the phone. The trainers seem very good, both there and one, Rebecca, came for a home visit and was quite helpful and informative. Its a shelter, so the information they have on animals is often very limited, and you are taking a step into the unknown in some ways. Rescues where the animal has been fostered for a while often know much more about the animals behavior and disposition. But the animals we have gotten from Lollypop had been well cared for, and all have turned out to be wonderful animal friends!
We have adopted several pets from lollipop farm and we love to go and visit the animals that they have!! We got two bunnies and the best cat dog in the world Jenny!! Possibly looking to adopt a new friend! There are so many animals that need a home and to many for to much at the pet store get a great companion and for a good cause as well! Two thumbs up!! 👍👍
Came to visit some animals to help de-stress during finals week. The petting area is currently closed to the public, but we could still view the animals from outside the pens. Got to see an old pup get a adopted while we were there so that was nice to see.
Thank you for helping us find some new fur babies. My daughter is so happy. She loves her two kittens. Leslie did an amazing job and we just love these two little sweethearts.
Tiegan was amazing, she was so caring, informational, and caring. Her personality was so jovial, and warm. I am thankful I was able to talk to her when I adopted Bonnie and Clyde today. Seeing the wonderful, and supportive atmosphere these animals are homed in until permanently placed was such a positive atmosphere. Tiegan was amazing.
Exceptional experience all around. Knowledgeable, friendly staff, clean facility, and the animals appeared very well-cared for. Olivia was wonderful!
One of the cleanest and most well ran shelters in Upstate NY. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly!! Animals are well taken care of!! I was a volunteer for two years while I was on school and would consistently come visit with my Cousin and nieces when they were little.
Was told that my dog had a heart murmur grade 3-4/6 when she went in for a spay. I asked to speak to a doctor and the 3 times I talked to someone that day it was a tech. She was extremely nice but she didnt personally hear the murmur. I had an apt with my own vet today and 2 doctors listened and didnt hear anything. Whether they misheard or charted on the wrong dog, a second listen and a conversation with the doctor wouldve been best practice instead of nonchalantly giving someone news in an EMAIL about an alleged heart condition.
I was banned from taking barn cats because they tend to move to other barns in the area.I took them in to save their lives but that doesnt matter because they dont stay in my barn..Makes no sense...
Don’t give them your business. My wife and I fell in love with a dog here that was on medical hold. We visited her every day, we sat cross-legged on the floor in front of her cage, petting her through the bars because they wouldn’t let us take her out until she was released. On the day of her surgery, we waited for her and then sat with her against the bars. But they wouldn’t let us put our name on a list for her and told us just to check the website. When she was finally posted, we rushed over, but there was another couple who happened to be in the lobby already, and they let them adopt her, right in front of us.
We adopted out new puppy from Lollypop farm and had a great experience. Our adoption counselor Emma J. was amazing and worked with us and helped us out through this process. Would recommend that is someone is looking into adopting a dog that the first place they go is to Lollypop Farm.
I tried reviewing on their Facebook page, but got harassed for it, so Ill post here. Im voicing my experience in hopes that this review might help someone else. I used to volunteer at lollypop. I adopted 4 rabbits and a dog from them. Shortly after starting there I realized it was a high kill shelter and one that really only cared about the money. Amber (a rabbit), was my third adoption. As a small animal volunteer, I sat with Amber every week and noticed she had nasal discharge as well as runny eyes and raspy breathing. I knew she couldnt go to anyone but me because no one else would recognize these red flags and give her the attention she needed. Before adopting her I had the vet check over her twice and obviously they found nothing wrong because they didnt want to put the time or money into her. Had you people done your job, you wouldve seen that runny eyes and nasal discharge are common for dental problems or possibly snuffles or another respiratory issue. Either your vets dont know what theyre doing or you flat out neglected to put the effort into figuring out what was actually wrong. You had her on different medications while she was there for close to a month and saw no improvement. Surprise surprise I took her home and she grew an abscess due to your lack of attention. It was in fact a tooth issue and respiratory issue. I had my vet to a surgery to remove the abscess and trim her teeth. She went into cardiac arrest during surgery. Thank you lollypop for neglecting the health of one of the sweetest rabbits Ive ever met.
We went to visit Lollypop just to browse. We found a lab that we liked but found out she was not suitable for our 2 year old. We were upset but the lady at the desk said there was a lab puppy yet to be put out and we could see him. We did and fell in love. We didnt think wed be able to take him home that day but we did!It was a smooth and easy process and we got him half off! Hes a great addition to our family and we couldnt be happier with Lollypop!
Hi, Ive never reviewed anything in my life before but, Im simply appalled by what Ive just experienced. It was cruel, humiliating and outright unjustified. I love Lollypop farm, I visit all the time and was even planning to apply for a full time job there when Im of age ( I have all of the paperwork and everything). Yesterday, we went in to see the kitten options they had. My boyfriend and his grandmother recently lost their 8 year old cat, this visit meant A LOT to us because a hole had been left in our family and has been effecting our lives daily. Not to mention, his grandmother can barely walk and rarely leaves the house, its painful for her to go anywhere. We fell in love with a kitten named Freckles, the only Male kitten there and the only kitten my boyfriend could fall in love with. We asked if we could see the kitten but, Im 16 and my boyfriend is 17 (turning 18 in just a few days) so they said we couldnt see him. We vouched to come in today at 9 o clock sharp with an adult for the cat and we did; we left the house at 8:30 and when we got there, there was only one couple waiting and the doors were still closed. But we were on the property with his grandmother struggling to stand with no seating in the hot sun so we were sure it would be worth the trouble and wed get our kitty. The couple there before us immediately made sure we werent there for the same cat and we werent. Seems perfect right? Next, arrived another young woman, sadly she was looking for the same cat they were and had already met with the cat out of the cage, where as the couple had only seen her. The woman, however has the common human decency to say oh well, first come first serve means first come first serve. Obviously, everyone there seemed to understand the rules we had been told, first come, first serve. Next arrived a young man who refused to talk to anyone there and claimed he was getting a cat for his gf. Every person there joked saying, hopefully its not Michele or Freckles because, we all got here first. The man refused to tell us what cat he was there for. At 9 o clock sharp, the manager opened the store and we all flooded in. My boyfriend and I immediately went to the cat we wanted, saying good morning and requesting to meet him but, the young man who had just arrived was already being handed and helped with the form. Yet, everyone there had been told we couldnt put the cats on hold, and everyone who had gotten there AFTER us were already getting their cats. You see, my boyfriends grandma was still struggling to get through the door. The man then preceded to purchase the cat before us, causing me and my boyfriends grandmother to cry. Every customer there was telling the man he had no right to the cat since, we had been there first. Yet, here we are with no cat, never going to PetSavers ever again. I have never heard an elderly woman so upset in my life, just because of our ages, our family wasnt allowed the right to a pet that obviously loved us and we obviously loved very much. I am highly disappointed in the Webster PetSavers location for this atrocious customer service and this outright horrific day. Although were still going to get a cat through Lollypop, I will never go into that PetSavers even if Ive been buying from there since the day it opened in the plaza. Thank you and I hope this issue of morality is fixed now.
Lollypop farm in Fairport, NY is an amazing animal shelter. They have a huge facility designed to care and shelter animals of all types and species. Whether youre adopting or dropping off, this is the best place to go to. Very well run with lots of amenities for all the animals and the staff is friendly, very knowledgeable and professional. You can even visit for free just to have a day out for the agricultural experience. 5 stars!
I have adopted two cats, Pumkin came home October 30th, 2015 and Jackson came home just a few months later. Pumkin is never more than a few steps away-she’s a huge snuggle bug since the day I got her. Jackson was an office cat there for a while before I got him- and still a big boy. I call him my 23 pounds of love. Both times the adoption process has been smooth and I would not hesitate to go here again when I add to my fur family in the future.
.I can understand that people are upset with Lollypop for putting animals to sleep. BUT, who is going to pay for all the animals, their upkeep, their health, their housing? Are you ? Where are the no kill shelters? Do they have any room? Who funds them? Did you know the pets in no kill shelters live their lives in cages? Where is free roaming now? If Lollypop does not screen people thoroughly, the home the pet ends up in can be worse than being put to sleep. Lollypop clearly states to use Lollypop as a last resort. The fault lies in the people who are not dedicated to keeping their pets AND taking care of them.We have 8 rescue cats inside and maybe 5-8 outside (who are not fed or cared for, that neighbors own) We are taking care of with food and shelter, but no shots, no love, fighting, predators, parasites, and the like. People need to step up and take care of their pets, educate yourselves, your children and grandchildren, and keep your commitments. The issue is with the owners. Its too bad that people cant be on the receiving end of this epidemic, instead of animals.
OK people I have been adopting form lollypop farm for my whole life and all my animals are healthy energetic and playful I think all you poopers who are giving lollipop a bad review should take a look at themselves you really need to step back and look at what theyre doing for the community you guys out there need to stop I have adopted becoming two year old kitten that is healthy energetic playful and the kindest little cat Ive ever met. I dont think that he has anything wrong with him. Okay sometimes they might have to put down animals just because something is really wrong when they cant fix it or they have some reason to and I know reasons can be little or restraining. But they take care and love each of each and every animal they send us emails to check in on how are on how my cat is doing and we send them a picture and tell them how hes doing will send as text messages and when they will call us they really truly care about every single animal in there. I just dont understand how you people can just sit there and give lollipop a bad review I dont know how you sleep with yourself at night I dont understand how you dont have guilt biting you in the back of your neck. If you have any problems with my review reply or apply it like I care
Shame on you for losing animals. A cat gets loose and now a dog goes missing? There is no reason for this to happen. I’ll never donate to lollypop 😡 I will always support the Wayne county humane society over lollypop they are miles better 😡
My girlfriend and I are very displeased with Lollypop Farm on 99 Victor Rd. I’ll try to make this review to-the-point.On Sunday, June 24th at around noon, we discovered a stray dog roaming our street. We quickly called the dog over, so that it would be safe from cars, and took it to the Lollypop Farm.Legally, they had to hold the dog for 5 days (to give its rightful owners a chance to reclaim him). Lollypop Farm explained to us that after the 5 days they’ll be going through tests to make sure the dog is in good health (behaviorally and physically), and if it would be fit for adoption. We were told that this process may take up to two weeks.Lollypop Farm’s employees explicitly stated more than once that when the dog became ready for adoption they’d give us a “courtesy call”, notifying us that the dog is ready for a new home.My girlfriend and I called them every other day for a week and a half, asking the status of the dog and if it were available for adoption yet. I was not on the consent form that we originally signed when we brought the dog in, so they refused to talk to me about the dog, they would only take calls from my girlfriend. My girlfriend kept getting the same response from them: we’ll give you a “courtesy call” when he’s ready. With all that being said, my girlfriend called again today, July 3rd, to discover that the dog had been not only adopted, but adopted without any “courtesy call” reaching our phones. Needless to say we were very displeased, and unaccommodated for. We tried reasoning with them; we were the ones who brought the dog in, and called frequently, so we should’ve gotten at least a “courtesy call” as promised. We talked to management, and they bluntly said that it was a minor mistake and the dog is in a happy home. The gist I got from them was that they either didn’t think we would make good owners, or some other underlying politics that went into the dog’s adoption. We bought a plethora of dog supplies, and got mentally prepared for dog ownership, only to have it crumble in front of our eyes because of their ineptitude. If you find a stray and want to adopt/rescue it, don’t go through lollypop farm or you might have this happen to you.
I just adopted a dog here because he was givin a chance. Nash is a dog who was acting crazy, not very good at the shelter. I had been worned multiple times! I still made the decision to get him and make him my family. Within the first 24 hours we have formed a bond that is unbreakable. He sits, he lets go of toys. He has already improved on the leash and he will go lay down in the crate with the door open. He loves car rides and getting verbal praise. He loves tug if war and has become good at fetch. He is much more mellow in a home environment and was seriously stressed in the animal shelter. But what these people have done is take a dog that looked hopless and given him a chance taught him lasting behaviors that make my life easier and gave me a new best friend. Im grateful that I was able to become the owner of this amazing animal. And I owe that opportunity to Lollypop Farm. An organization I will stand by for life! Nash and I will definitely be back for a visit!
I had an appointment made to visit the agency to adopt a small animal. Upon arrival a woman came out and told us she was sorry but someone had just adopted them and its first come first serve. My daughter was crushed and I wasted half my day to make that appointment just to be told someone else beat us to them and its first come first serve. Had I known that I would have made the appointment for first thing in the morning so this did not happen. Im very dissatisfied with the way I was treated and I dont see a point in making an appointment when its first come first serve. Had I known it was first come first serve I would have been there this morning instead of the time they gave me to show up. Im extremely disappointed and didnt think adoption agencies operated like this and I will definitely not be setting up anymore appointments to bring my daughter to so she can leave in tears again. Thanks for wasting my time and ruining my daughters day lollypop farm.so in order to adopt an animal we have to make an appointment and then hope the animal that we wish to adopt is still there? I guess it would have been different if you guys hadnt called me 3 times and emailed me twice thorughout the day to make sure I was going to keep my appointment and then when I show up tell me the animals I made the appointment to see where not even there. I guess I felt like I was on the bad end of a prank, you guys even called me on my way there to see if I was coming LoL oh well at least now I know how you guys oprerate.
Im not discrediting the good work they do but I had a terrible experience that I will never surrender animals to them again and honestly have never been treated with such a lack of compassion as I was at the time. I was told I could bring in a large number of kittens that I rescued from an unfortunate situation and all were surrendered in Hopes of a better life for them i traveled hours with the poor babies got there with relief and happiness for them thinking they were going to have a chance at life. Not long after arriving I was told they all had to be euthanized as they had cat lice and they didnt have space to treat them...i offered them the dog crates that i had put them in to travel comfortably etc. Tried everything to save the poor babies and didnt even know if all the kittens had lice but was told had to assume they did since one tiny kitten did...I was wreck as I was fulfilling a dying wish to rehome and give them a better chance at life. Luckily a rescue group told me to bring them the kittens that LPF did not have room to treat but I was told by 2 officers at LPF that i could not take the kittens unless they were seen by a vet that night even after reassuring them that every one of the kittens would be seen by a vet the next day...mind you I traveled hours with the poor things spent a long time at LPF it was evening by then and had hours to travel back home and no vet would be open at 830 at night. I am in shock with the lack of compassion that was shown...not one person in my distress tears and all said Im sorry about this I know how hard this must be etc...nothing!!! When the rescue group finally talked to LPF and told them what they wanted to hear I was finally allowed to travel hrs. back home with half of the kittens I came with to the rescue group that would save them...the kittens were seen by a vet the next day and guess what-not one of them had lice! Thd vet said it takes a microscope to view lice and takes alot of time and that the kittens only had dander and that lice is very treatable like fleas. And LPF went to the extent to say I was aggressive towards them when I was in tears trying everything offering anything I could to to save the poor babies! Again will not discredit the good they do but the experience was truly traumatizing and just utterly shocking the lack of compassion shown! Word of advice if youre surrendering an animal to them...make sure you know the animals overall health and your rights are as the person surrendering. Feeling helpless when trying to save these babies from death was terrible! Happy ending all kittens are healthy and adopted by wonderful families thanks to an amazing rescue group that had a heart! I will never think of LPF the same and can only pray the poor babies I had to leave behinde with them as the rescue group could not take the number of kittens I brought were not eunethenized and given a chance...terrible feeling when you thought you were giving them a chance and their lives were going to be ended! And if you cant have compassionate enough to see peoples distress when told animals lived are going to be ended you shouldnt be in that line of work! I can only focus now on the poor kittens whose lives I know were spared and now have loving homes thanks to a wonderful compassionate rescue group!
If youre looking for a pet in the Rochester area, look here first. Their behavior team does great work with animals that would otherwise be difficult to find homes for, and the adoption fees are a steal when you factor in the costs of all the vet care Lollypop provides for them during their stay.
Currently been in the parking lot for over 30 minutes waiting for them to come grab my cat. Then when I did everything online, it said what I was paying included the vaccines but I get here and it’s a whole different story and now I have to pay extra for the vaccine, which they never told me would have to be done. I do not recommend coming here. I would never again use this place. It’s horrible customer service all together!!!!
I adopted a puppy from Lollipop, a shepard/lab mix, in 1994 that gave me, my son and most people who met him the greatest 16 years of love imaginable. Ive also gotten 3 cats that gave us lovin for 20 plus years. What a fantastic shelter
I grew up in this area and enjoyed multiple trips going to lollypop farms. Now when i return to visit family i try to bring my daughter to enjoy it. She loves animals as i do and wants to be a vet when she grows up. Glad to see its still strong and growing.
Made appointment for my cat and her kittens , took a month to get a call back and had to wait 2 weeks to drop them off. Was told they will be killed by end of day because of no room,,,,,, then y give me appt . I know they still might be put down , if ill or dont get adopted, I would have never brought them with no hope. My landlord would be let me keep them longer. Already has made appt. to exterminate before he sells .
5 stars all the way. Thank you Lollypop farm for neutering my puppy! She was in great hands and you guys did a wonderful job with her and took great care of her and I cant thank you enough lollypop
Me and my boyfriend adopted our new fur baby, Sikora, black baby girl! We love her to pieces ❤️😻 She is doing great, finally playing with toys, she apparently loves feathers 😁 Eating very good! Thank you lollypop for our baby girl!
So many caring people - loving the animals they serve! Exotic Pet Birds inc. has always loved being able to support this great organization through donations of food as well as monitory gifts. If you are ever seeking a worthy cause to give to, we encourage you to give to this AMAZING community resource!
Cool place to visit. It would be way better if you got to pet the horses. The dog kennels are closed more often than not. Most of the staff is friendly.
It’s a great place to see animals and get your furry friend. It’s also a great place where you can find a summer camp you enjoy. There are amazing workers who help these furry friends find a home of their own. It’s also a nice place where you can donate your old towels, blankets, and more!! You can find a way in every way to help these furry companions.
The greece ridge location is better.. they say theres only 1 price for cats/dogs but little dogs are 500 dollars. A friend got a cat from there and they were trying to discourage her from getting that one. She went with her gut and got him and hes the most loveable kitty in the world. I love lollypop but theres also some negatives like any place.
I like what theyre doing for animals but I hate that they put to sleep animals who doing get adopted. Also, I went to get a safe trap to catch a loose animal in my backyard (animal control was notified, however they never came). I was told it was unsafe for the dog (but was ok for a cat??). Anyway, a few days went by and the dog got hit by a car and had to be put to sleep since the injuries were so bad. I cant help but think this couldve been avoided if I had the trap
Went to the campus 3 times to get a kitten. As soon as I told them something about how I would raise the cat out the door I went. Do not tell them you will let a cat outside or you won’t get one. Do not go look at cats in offices, they brought them there to live with the humans.
I used to think Lollypop was great UNTIL they heartlessly euthanized a puppy that my family went to great lengths to rescue in April 2012. Prince Murphy did not deserve to die. There were people who cared for him and who would have sprung him from there in a second if the they had given him the smallest chance.I was thereafter given the runaround repeadedly when I inquired about him, and when I found out that they had put him down I communicated my outrage by email and phone and through their website, but I was never given any explanation or regrets. When I mentioned this to a dog trainer who used to work there, he said he quit because of these sort of issues, and described Lollipop as the most corrupt organization he had ever come across. There are many other animal rescue operations to support in this community. Lollipop will not get another dime of my money.
I adopted a horse from them 2 years ago. They worked with both the horse and I made sure we were going to be a good fit and answered any questions we had. We also got a full background on the horse. Blackjack is now living a happy life with 2 other horses.
Very beautiful shelter, animal look very well taken care of. I went to another shelter it was so bad, the smell, animals were not very well taken care of. This shelter is like a so clean. Very well taken care of.
Not Sure about you guys. I just called about dropping my beagles mix of to you guys. Your response was youll have to set up an appoinment in order to establish availability. How the hell cant you guys tell me your availability over the phone. You guys take any pet regardless is what some reviews say. Also you guys have a rich website so how is it Im not given a direct answer as to you guys having ability to take my pet? It seems very clear to me that availability is not an issue. please tell me exactly how Im wrong if I am.
My sweet baby girl Lily decided to go for a walk, which is very unlike her! She was brought into lollypop, I was able to get her back with out a fuss! Lily bean and I are so grateful for her safe return. Lots of lovin, belly rubs and a can of her favorite wet food is instore!! Thank you so much Lollypop staff!!!!
I wish I could give you guys a negative rating. You guys turned us away when a stray was hit by a car and was suffering! There is NOTHING Humane about that. NOTHING. I am so livid with this place right now. And you call yourselves a Humane Society?! Oh and don’t worry, I found a place who will do a good stand euthanasia for the poor cat and put it out of its misery. Shame on you guys.
Customer service is super awful, they just kept staring at us and continuing on with their conversations. Took 5 minutes to acknowledge us when we walked in the building even though we were the only ones there. RUDE and then when we wanted to inquire about a dog they kept glancing at us but had us wait for an additional 20 minutes. Smh
They were called to rescue a raccoon being tortured and they failed to answer. What’s the point of helping animals if you don’t help animals. Pitiful
Staff has always been kind, polite and helpful. Im so grateful for all theyve been able to do for my pets over the years.
I have been in touch with Lollypop farm regarding the sale of pit bull puppies from a puppy mill right next door to my home several times and NOTHING has ever been done. These people routinely breed their MANY dogs and sell them for many hundreds of dollars then take the unsold puppies to the shelter, usually lolly pop or Happy tails in Canandaigua...............So please do not purchase pit bull puppies from the Nagys at 6075 Lawrence Hill Rd Springwater NY..............Thank you
I love the work that they do. They really try hard to place animals. Adopted from there before. Great experience. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is something I have against a lot of animal shelters, not being 100% no kill.
Many people do not realize how many animals that Lollypop kills every year. Dont get me wrong Lollypop does do some good work for the animals in our community but they also kill many, many animals. These animals are then dumped in a local landfill like garbage, how horrific! Lollypop seems to have become very political and money oriented and if you ask me they have lost thier true vision. What a shame. There are many No Kill shelters out there and unfortunately Lollypop is not one of them.
Wanted nothing to do about helping with a lost kitten in the middle of the winter we live way in the country nearest neighbor are quite a way away they told me just leave him outside he will go home. Small kitten would have been frozen the first night out. They didn’t care.
I know people who have adopted many animals from Lollypop Farm and have volunteered there. I adopted a cat from Lollypop Farm last year. I was impressed with the wonderful care they gave her.
I just adopted a wonderful girl named Winnie! Our familys dog just crossed the Rainbow Bridge(Johnny-a Golden) and I found Winnie online, scheduled an appointment, and the rest is history. Winnie is a white 47 lb. 4 1/2 yr old doll.Lollipop Farm is a wonderful place. Please go there and adopt. All of these animals deserve loving homes to live out their days, whether theyre young or senior. And you will have a new best friend who loves you unconditionally!
Just adopted snookie today, little 6-1/2 pd yorkie, Love her so much, she is right at home already. Thank you so much, everyone was so kind & caring. Thank you katie for calling me this morning..
I adopted a kitten from here and I just want my money back!!. Ive never had a kitten so scared to even come out. Wherever they rescue some of these cats from and whatever they do to them afterwards makes them petrified.
I adopted my cat oreo at lollypop farm! She black and white. I love her! She my best friend! Thank god she only 2 years old.
The lady at the desk told me I could bring my corgi in and walk her around with my niece and then decides to tell me I can’t hold my dog in with the cats like make up your mind what you want!! Very rude to say I can walk around the place when I’m getting yelled at having her in the room and this was today
Always a great place.to visit. So much fun touring the property, and a wonderful experience in adoption as well ❤️🩹
Wish someone would get the phone
Always fun to take 5-6 year olds to see the animals. Love the dogs and cats, but they were disappointed there were no llamas.
Takes good care of the animals! Good selection. Cant wait to adopt another dog! Perfect place to get one! This is where I also got my current dog!
4-4-19.Adopted Chloe, a long hair chihuahua 6yrs old 4.25lbs and is adjusting quite well .new clothes, toys Her own chair w her bed and blanket.wasnt crazy about her dog food that came hm with us .so I made her scrambled eggs w wild caught Salman to go w her vitamins.Staff was Awsome👍
Im fostering kittens and one is sick. She was quickly seen and treated at the clinic.

Areesha favorite place
I have adopted many animals from them. It is always clean and inviting. There is no better way to adopt a new family member.
Nice place. Helped me with a lost cat. I adopted there 40 years ago. I highly recommend them. People are generous there.
The staff was kind, caring, and very helpful. They were professional and We thank you for your help. If not for you the surgery would not be possible.
I have adopted several cats from Lollypop. The staff truly cares about these shelter animals. I recommend Lollypop highly😺
Incredibly caring, sensitive people. Beautiful souls to handle difficult situations…
Good time
Always willing too help, I have adopted and love my pet, also called on them for a stray on my property and they were so helpful, thank you, please donate when you can, I enjoy visiting the farm.💞💞
Disgusting place.. And very Dissapointed! Do not take your pets here EVER! They only care about money not the families left behind. If I could give a 0 I would... Rating them a 1 is too high!
Thank you for saving animals. We adopted our cat princess in 2007 and loved her so much. Thank you for everything that you do 💜🐾
Wounderful place. Volunteers are Very helpful. I acquired two wounderful kitties that I love lots. Any questions they are quick to respond
Took my niece and nephew. It was ok for a quick visit but not too much to see.
Amazing and friendly shelter, we got our cat here about 4 years ago and she is a lovely addition to the family.
Every cat weve gotten from here I love every single one of them theyre all healthy and Im hoping to get more. :)
A wonderful facility to visit and adopt a pet. My family makes regular trips to visit the many different kinds of animals they shelter.
Lollypop Farm is a glitzy organization that has paid employees that take 2 hour lunches. They also euthanize many of the unwanted animals.
Amazing people, amazing facility. One of the BEST charity organizations and for such a good cause. Keep up the GREAT work!!!
Its alright but the animals there are there cause they were abused mostly. Also they wont adopt out to families with young kids and or require hoops to jump through to adopt.
I one time I got a dog from lollipop farm it was a nice experience with the people and the dog we got
Awesome staff, friendly as all hell. Had to surrender my dogs for health reasons and they were incredibly pleasant through the whole exchange
I love visiting lollipop and walking the trail. A lot of wonderful people work and volunteer here and do amazing work.
Awesome shelter, I got my kitty there. They are really responsible and warm hearted
Please consider adoption!! Lots of great animals waiting for their forever homes.
Weve adopted 3 cats from Lollypop. Im always happy to support this organization.
Wonderful shelterWant ny next Sr.dog from here.
This place has really changed over the years. I was applying and writing the SNIP program for several months and whoever was responding was very rude and unwilling to help or do her job. She purposely kept putting my dog on the waiting list once it opened up after several months and took forever to respond. Will never recommend or support ever again. Thankfully other places were willing to help.
Horrible customer service. Not worth trying to adopt through. Unless you want to wait months for an appointment go somewhere else
Daughters two and four years old loved visiting here it was hard to take them away because I wanted to adopt a pet.
I dont trust lollipop because if you ask them for help itll take you to court because you ask for help
Great facility. Well taken care of. Great place to bring kids to see the farm animals and go for a walk.
Peaceful. Friendly. So many precious pets, farm animals, and lovely surroundings.
My family adopted several animals from Lollypop while growing up in the area. They always had clean facilities and knowledgeable staff. They have great programs with local schools for vocational skills. The grounds and facilities are well kept and easy to access.
I adopted Caddy from the lollypop farm. Caddy wishes you all a very happy new year
They do a awesome job on taking good care of the animals and to find a good home for them
We took our family in the hopes of adopting a dog we saw online. The staff was very courteous and pleasant to speak with. Although the dog had been adopted, we spent time walking through the dog and cat areas, our youngest loved the bunnies, mice, and turtle too! There is also a huge outdoor area to see goats, pigs, horses, and emu. For the pets that are up for adoption, they seem to provide as much information as possible to try and fit them with a good home.
Terrible experience trying to adopt a second kitten from there. Went during the week to see the available cats, saw an adorable 2 mo with the same energy as our cat and they told us to come back the next day right at opening when she’d be available. Good thing we called because she wasn’t there at all, she was being moved to one of the satellite locations. Told us she should be there around noon, so we spent our lunch break going there ready to adopt. The employees at that location were completely clueless and didn’t know if/when she would be getting there, but told us we should call later. We called and she was adopted as soon as she got to the store, whenever that actually was. Why make adoption so tedious when there are so many cats in need of homes, very disappointing.
Wonderful facility for all animals. Thank you for helping those who cant.
Outstanding experience 👍 Lollipop Farms genuinely cares for the animals they have!!!
Highly recommended lollypop farm for adoption! Our experience was pleasant!
Love checking out all the animals. You can tell that the staff really care about them.
Beautiful facility. The people are very nice and helpful
They are friendly people and they will help you eneything you need
The staff was awesome very friendly very interactive with all guests and possible adopted parents. The woman in charge of the pet pantry, Erin, was spectacular. Very helpful and I was amazed shocked and overwhelmed not to mention super appreciative of the pet food that I had got today from the pantry for my fur babies it was outstanding
Adopted my dog here because everyone needs to adopt their animals as they are a KILL shelter!
We adopted our new family member from Lollypop. He is the best dog and we are already so in love. Lollypop’s organization is amazing and the process was very thorough and comforting. They do a great job of making sure you are a good fit for your pet. They also take the time to explain advice and input from the behavior team. As a kid, I grew up with dogs, but this is MY first dog on my own as an adult. Now at 30 years old, I can tell you this will not be my last adoption from here. We are so lucky to have Lollypop farm in our community. Thank you for everything your organization does! We can’t thank you enough for our new best friend.
I would suggest people to adopt there animals there because the animals are well taken care of.
I came here with some friends. It was very nice. My friend really liked the cats.
Awesome facility, very family friendly. The kiddos love it.
Worst experience I’ve ever had. I went in to adopt a dog and when I went in with my family I noticed that a couple of dogs were trying to get the volunteers attention to use the bathroom and the poor things peed all over themselves and were forced to sit in their own urine. It doesn’t end there. I went to see if we could see a dog that looked highly depressed. She just wanted attention and you could see how sad she was. I filled out the paperwork to meet her to make sure she got along with my daughter. The lady said “That dog can’t go home with you because your child is not 14 years old.” (She’s 8) so I said kindly okay well could we see another dog and she looked me in the eyes and said “no because it stresses them out and they’re waiting to meet real adopters.” I will never give my business to this place. I had cash on me to adopt and the lady treated me as if I was only there to look at animals. Completely unprofessional and the dogs looked depressed. My daughter is completely disappointed as we were looking forward to adding to our small family. I will give my business to another place that is more professional and respectful.
Terrible place his name was Maxwell.Doberman that was raised in a crate before we got him.My parents didnt know how to train him properly he was a nervous dog which is expected if crate trained.I wanted him and before I could get him he was put down.He did bite a few but he was a good dog for the most part he just needed to be trained. He was a royal pure bred doberman. His potential is above the charts and I forever miss Maxwell. He would have been great if trained correctly and I was willing to do that.I love you Maxwell and miss you and I hate you lolly pop farm for what you did.
We adopted our cat here yesterday and had the best experience with the entire process. We stopped by Lollypop Farm just to look at the cats that were available. Mary, a volunteer, was very helpful and did not pressure us into anything; she was honest and thorough in providing us with information about each cat. We looked at a few cats but fell in love with one that is perfect for us and we left feeling like we had made the right decision. I highly recommend this facility!
I always enjoy visiting Lollypop Farm. I love animals, wish I could adopt them all! Yes, sometimes I have a tear in my eye when I leave but know also that Lollypop will do the best they can to adopt and care for all of the animals. The facility is quite nice, clean an enjoyable experience both visiting the cats, dogs, birds, small animals and all of the farm animals.
Very nice people. Great facility.
I wanted to address just a few major misconceptions that people posting negative reviews about Lollypop seem to have.In regards to the fact that they are a kill shelter: First and foremost, the decision to terminate any animals life is not a decision that they take lightly. Many people choose to drop off animals with diseases and health issues too severe to handle in hopes of giving the animal one last chance. Other animals, especially dogs, are brought in with major human aggression issues. Lollypop cannot release these animals to be adopted - It wouldnt be right to the customers that they serve. Yes, Lollypop is a kill shelter. No, savable, adoptable animals are not being killed without considerations.Next, yes, Lollypop will make you jump through hoops. They expect you to live in a stable home, be at least 21 years old, and be a good fit for any animal that you adopt. This mans that they will not adopt out shy dogs to people with loud kids, active dogs to people with inactive lifestyles, or dog-aggressive dogs to people that already have dogs. Yes, there are a lot of requirements. These requirements are in please to ensure that the animals are going to forever homes, and not simply ending back at the shelter when a family is unable to care for them. With all of that said, Lollypop farm is a great place to get an animal. All dogs and cats are evaluating for behavior, health, and other issues before they are adopted out. The facilities are nice, the adoption counselors will work with you to find the right pet for you, and the behavior team works hard to help you train/bond with your new dog.Great place.
Zero 🌟 because the staff think and speak of animals as food
First thing his name is lucky and he is very friendly with everything and everyone.he said l love you if any body asked him to say he likes to say with people all the time. He best friends of my son.he picked up my son from school bus and droup in schools bus
Best place for kids to show compassion to animals and learn about animal rescue.
Best place to adopt or even visit. It is like a mini-zoo.
This is a great place. Everyone is friendly, helpful and they do a great job.
My daughter adopted a cat from Lollypop in May 2015. He was an older cat with a sweet personality. He was in the cat room with may other cats. They went over his health history and told us his only problem was his weight - he weighed 21 lbs. They said to feed him fish oil to help with his dry flaky skin. Two weeks later, my daughter and I both had ringworm. The cats dry skin was a VERY bad case of ringworm which is very contagious and went undiagnosed by their vet. Being in the cat room and petted by many people every day, he was also exposing visitors to ringworm, as well as all of the other cats.My daughter worked to rid her apartment of the ringworm spores and quarantined the cat while he was being treated. She loved him a lot and was willing to do anything to make him well. Two months after adopting him and over $1000 in medical bills, she had to put him down. It was very traumatic for her, but there was nothing else she could do. The veterinary hospital believes his ringworm was so bad because his immune system was not functioning. The day he died, he had no white blood cell count and they suspect he had feline aids.I would not recommend Lollypop for pet adoptions based on this experience.
Being seniors ourselves, we adopted two older cats 9 years ago... they were great.. the experience, the staff, the facility. HOWEVER, I called end of life services early yesterday and left a detailed message explaining need to euthanize one of our girls as she was in a lot of pain due to a mass previously dxd as cancer.Called 5x got answering machine every time. Still no call today. Not that responsive for a compassionate organization. Ended up spending money we didnt have and called the vet. They got her right in this morning. I am heartbroken but she is in a better place ...
This place is a lie they don’t help any animals they killed my friends innocent dog not fair and ignore the good reviews don’t ever take your animals to lolly pop farm they don’t help any animals they just kill them
I came in everyday so that I could adopt a dog I had been lovingly passing and talking to, and I came in the day after all his necessary procedures he had to have done. They told me that he probably would not be able to have him cleared for adoption that day and the vets to check on him would be off till 2 days later. So I did the animal search alert for it to notify me exactly when he is cleared. I call hours later to see if he was cleared, they told me yes, and that someone was looking at him right at that moment. But I had recieved no notification and he wasnt listed on the site for adoption even though they say they update it live for when they are ready. So I rush over and complained how if it was first come first serve policy then if I was first for an application and came in everyday. . . why was I not first when I was there this morning when he had been cleared as soon as I was about to leave? If you want a well loved and well prepared place to adopt. Do not expect humane treatment to humans here. They broke my heart, and wasted my time and money as well. Goodbye lollypop, you were wonderful when you cared about every living thing.
Played phone tag with woman in charge of Spaying/Neutering. Finally got a hold of her and she wanted me to pay upfront (nonrefundable) for the cost of the surgery, only to have them schedule for May, two whole months away. After I told her I couldnt wait until then, her whole tone changed. Not only are they rude every time I have ever called, they euthenize animals too much. I get you might not have the space, but theres the Kathleen Tenny animal shelter here in town I took my 3 kittens to, and they are a no kill shelter and they get tons of cats and always re-home them to amazing people and families. So happy I didnt go here. I feel bad for all the animals that get tossed in that place.
This is a wonderful place if you want to just look at some animals or if you intend to adopt they have all sorts of animals ranging from cats dogs horses pigs and more theres also an area where you can interact with some of the animals theyre always clean and well maintained
We LOVE our new dog! He is so awesome & adoption was made easy. I guess my only complaint would be that they required us to pay for and attend dog training classes, which was totally unneeded and unnecessary.
Love this place, I adopted my dog here 2 years ago, ignore the negative reviews
Go and play but watch out their so cute they have a way of coming home with you
If I could give them no stars I would. For being a shelter that supposedly wants their animals to go to good caring homes they were very cold and more like an adult that you steal your lollipop then care about the humans that come to find new a new family member. The system that they have for adoption pets is cruel and leaves many with broken hearts. If you come in and fall for a sweet fuzzle who isnt on their available list you end up playing an awful game of first come first serve that feels more like you are trying to get meat at a deli then a fur friend. They also claim that they update their website live which isnt completely true. It just seems that they would rather get the animals in any home and dont care about the quality of the home or if you have been looking at the animal and tracking the animal since you saw then even when they werent initially available. Lollipop farms if you ever read this no one I know will support your business ever again.
Such a fantastic turnout for Barktober Fest
What people did not realize is that Lollypop farm is trying to safe life. They want to save as many animal as they could. But on the other hand, they have responsibility to minimize potential risks to human society and reduce burden for animals. Most of the animal who has been putting down are animals with incurable diseases such as chronic sickness or cancers. They are put down to minimize the burden. Some of others have aggressive behavior due to the stress or bad experiences, those animals need to be put down since they will be a potential risk to your kids, family members or you neighbors. When you people spend so much time on complaining what Lollypop has done wrong, what have you guys done? I am sure that complaining behind your laptop will save more life than what Lollypop does.
I adopted an 8 year old cat 1 year ago. and it was the best decision Ive made in years. I found her online on lollypop farms web site.I noticed that she had been on there for quite a long time, like 2 months. when I went there to look at her I wasnt impressed because she was hiding at the rear of her cage. but once I was able to see her in one of the rooms there, she changed and brightened right up. and from that moment on. I told her that she will NEVER go back into a cage again! Thankyou lollypop farm.!
This place is bad I know people said ignore the bad comments but when my dad took the kitten that was in our house for a long time to lollypop farm and they killed my kitten I was crying for over 5 days then I tried to forget. Conclusion: Never take your animals to lollypop farm.
It was terrible for my granddaughter. She sat on the sidewalk and cried because she could not see the dogs and cats. She cried and cried. My wifes blouse was wet with years. This is not posted that you could not see them.
This is a fantastic facility, wish there were more.
Very friendly people they helped me out with 2 of my animals who were sick . .
Great place to see all kinds of animals!
THEY didnt give the dog we wanted a chance
They have good service
Lollypop should get a worse rating than this because we had found a cat there and adopted him. We had bought a 100 dollar flea collar for him and took care of him. But one day he was outside because hes an outdoor cat and someone thought he was lost so they took him to Lollypop we had him fixed there for 40 dollars and when we went to pick him up they said they gave him away. This annoys us very much because he was only there for a couple of days and they didnt even give us a refund for the 140 dollars we had spent on him.
Great place to visit
Its a perfict place to adopt puppys and dogs
Nobody ever answers the phone. I’ve been calling for a week straight .
