Dogtopia of Long Island City (LIC)

Staff is very friendly, clean and organized. Only downside the cameras the have for you to check in on your dog work rarely work. They always have some kinds of issue. I would give 5 stars if the camera where reliable.

The staffs are very friendly and the fees were pretty reasonable. Once the dog is approved, and dropped off, you have access to a web cam through their app. The place is clean, and there are snacks for your dog when you pick them up or just wait for other pups to be dropped and signed in. They also give you a report card for your dog!

Absolutely fantastic - it’s not a fit for my dogs (it was too overwhelming for one of my pups - which is too bad but I don’t want her unhappy). I was so incredibly impressed when I took the tour and they did the meet/greet and temperament test with my pups. The staff is incredibly friendly and professional. The dogs are always attended to by trainers/trained staff and kept engaged with structured play and other elements all day long. They’re very accommodating and - as the plan was to get my dogs comfortable in prep for boarding there next week (although that isn’t working out), they asked me many thoughtful questions about my dogs’ personalities, preferences, even asking if they prefer to eat together or separately. I’ve had prior great experiences with other pups at HoundsTown - the one in Island Park who also has a wonderful staff - but Dogtopia LIC is a whole other level - and - in a city where everything seems so expensive they’re actually quite reasonably and competitively priced. Didn’t work for my pups - but hope it does for yours. It really is a special place worthy of our special furry friends.

I love this place! All the trainers and staff could not be nicer to my pup. The facility is huge, clean, and has plenty of room for my frenchie to run around and play with the other dogs. Plus they have fun activities for the doggies throughout the week.

My young husky has been thriving thanks to the great staff and opportunity he gets to socialize with other dogs here. I get him home safe, happy, and hes exhausted.... never thought that would happen living in a crowded city!

This daycare is awesome and its the staff members that really make it special. Doggie daycares are easy to find these days but its rare to find a place where we feel we could place 100% trust - and the staff here make it one of these rare places! They really try their best to get to know every pup, learn their quirks and behaviors, and make it a super fun and enriching environment. Thank you to all the humans who work here!

My old little lady Yangyang loves it here despite her age. She enjoys the rubberized floors which are great for her joints and she super loves the beef treats they carry.

Excellent grooming and day care service. Snow had a blast and smelled wonderful afterwards - we took their full grooming service + half a day daycare.

So lucky to have found Dogtopia! I absolutely love being able to watch my pup on the camera while I’m at work. I honestly have been so worried about my dog not having enough socialization through her puppy years during Covid and now feel like we’re more than making up for it through all the dog friends she’s made at daycare. She just seems so happy every day when she comes home!! I’m thrilled. Can’t thank the wonderful staff enough for taking such good care of my baby!

My dog Orson absolutely cannot get enough of Dogtopia! I was a little nervous at first to leave him since this was our first time trying daycare after returning to the office, but Amanda made us feel right at home from the first moment we walked in the door. The location is super convenient given it’s right on my commute to work in Manhattan by the 7 train and Orson seems to love it!

Awesome new spot! Brought my pup in today, she had an absolute blast! Staff is incredibly friendly and we even got to meet the owners, hard to imagine a nicer couple! Couldnt possibly recommend this spot more and I wish them nothing but best!

I love the new Dogtopia in LIC . My dog was happy and enjoyed playing with other dogs. Staff was very professional, friendly, and responsive. I also loved that I could check on him, via webcam. This is definitely my new place, to have him cared for during the day.

Dogtopia has a clean space and friendly staff. Hours for pick up and drop off are also convenient. My dog Yokito gets very excited when we walk by - so happy they’ve joined the neighborhood :)

This is the spot for daycare! Our corgi Ham absolutely loves it, he bounces in whenever we take him. The staff are friendly and great with the dogs.

This business advertised via pop-up in my building before opening, sharing info including running a deal for their grand opening. I didn’t have to sign on then and there. Didn’t disclose a timeline but I admittedly didn’t ask. A month after they opened, I visited and let them know that I’d love to bring my pup here and would they honor that deal (they actually had two different deals). After a few back and forths liaising to the founders, they declined. While I somewhat understand that, it was a bit disappointing. Nonetheless, they offered a free day of daycare. Not much in comparison but I appreciated the offer. But I then realized I won’t be leaving her for full days bc she’s new to daycare and I really won’t be needing full day care. Would they honor 2 half days? Answer was no.Really??I get it, you’re running a business, but it’s not a big ask. Im not trying to squeeze you… just my reality of how I will utilize your daycare. The right customer focused answer would have been, yea sure, of course - glad to have you and welcome to Dogtopia! It’s a $15 difference guys…First half day on Friday … looks like a clean caring place for my pup, no comment on that experience yet.

I dont usually leave reviews, but I brought my dog in recently...and he can be difficult to keep still. The staff handled my dog very well and was friendly and professional the entire time. Highly recommended!

Just tried Dogtopia out the past few weeks for the first time and my dog absolutely loves it! She’s literally pulling on her leash as we come around Vernon Blvd every morning. Will absolutely be coming back regularly!

So excited to have a new spot to take my puppy to. The hours of operation are convenient and Managment is great with communication. It really feels like a community here!

The gold standard of dog day care; the Four Seasons for canines. You won’t find a better place and frankly my only regret is I didn’t find it sooner. Hell, I’d leave my daughter, let alone my dog, with them if I could—that’s how much I trust them. Don’t walk here—run.

Inexperience Facility Owner, poor management, do not risk leaving your dogs here. They might be cheaper than other facility in the area, but its lack of management and staff training.

We live in the neighborhood and have two dogs we board with Dogtopia. The location is impeccably clean and the staff is super friendly. I think our dogs really enjoy their stays because they always look super happy when we pick them up!
