Happy Dogs Long Island City

We have had a great experience with Happy Dogs and we recommend them for both daycare and boarding. The live cams are great and enable us to check on our pup, and we can see that there is always plenty of staff taking care of the dogs and keeping the space clean. They are very responsive over text or email and keep us updated on his behavior and eating habits.

Weve had a wonderful experience with Happy Dogs! Theyre extremely responsive and reliable, and our dog is always excited for her daycare days. Theyve also built a completely custom, intuitive backend system that makes managing daycare and boarding very easy.

Our dog loves going to Happy Dogs and hanging out with all his mates. He’s always so excited to go in - and the staff are always so friendly and welcoming to him (and his humans)! We recently attended a social evening to meet other members and see inside the facility. It was so nice to meet the pack and see inside. There is a live camera feed available for members but seeing it in real life was very reassuring that he’s in good hands and in a nice environment on his day trips. The owners were delightful and should definitely share their peanut butter treats recipe (they were a huge hit!). Would highly recommend becoming a pack member!

Happy Dogs has been a life changer! My 4 month old pup gets home happy and tired after a day of playdates! I can see the love, dedication, and patience the staff give Dibu throughout the day through the live cam. Thank you Happy Dogs for making my dog so happy! 10/10 recommend!

Moved to the area recently and was recommended Happy Dogs by someone at a nearby dog park. My dogs been going there for a couple months now and the team there is great. Super communicative, let me know days when she doesn’t seem to be feeling well, which dogs she likes to play with, whether she at her meals. It’s so great to feel comfortable leaving her in their care for the day, and she comes home happy and tired from a full day of play. Also love the webcams where I can see her playing and relaxing with her friends throughout the day. So glad I made the choice to come here!

Happy Dogs has been a great option for my dog during long days at work. The check-in and check-out process is a breeze with easy access to last minute booking when needed! The dogs are never put in crates and are free to roam with the other dogs throughout the day. The staff and owners clearly love the animals and I know my dog is always in great hands when I drop her off!

Happy Dogs has been the perfect daycare for my high-energy puppy. We started taking her once or twice a week when she was 5 or 6 months old, and its been the perfect place for her to play, socialize with other dogs, and let out some of that puppy energy. She comes back from daycare exhausted (in the best way!) and so happy, and the Happy Dogs staff has been communicative and attentive. We love that our dog has somewhere safe where she can go play and socialize (especially during the work week), and I know my dog loves going: When she realizes were walking toward Happy Dogs, she can barely contain herself with excitement.

I love relying on Happy Dogs when Im going away because I know Lola Roo will be in good hands and she always comes back happy! Happy Dogs is professional, good customer service, and accomodating. I highly recommend them for any of your dogs daycare or boarding needs.

We are thrilled with our experience at Happy Dogs LIC! This is the first daycare that Tucker has been to in the area where there isnt complete chaos. Tucker is a finicky pup but seems to love Happy Dogs. He pulls us down the street every morning and runs into daycare. The staff is polite and incredibly helpful. They immediately respond to emails and give Tucker lots of love. My husband and I have felt an enormous sense of relief since Happy Dogs opened. We know our little guy is in great hands!

Graham loves Happy Dogs LIC! When we look at the camera hes usually bopping around getting his energy out and sometimes its sweet when you catch a moment when one of the staff are petting him or giving him a treat. The staff occasionally send photos and always leave a note about food or touch-up services completed. The staff are also super responsive via email if you have questions. Their check-in process and software choice also works well. Would recommend if youre in the area!

My dog is obsessed with Happy Dogs and we’re obsessed with the photos that we get after each visit. Happy Dogs is one of the more affordable places in the neighborhood but higher in their quality of care for the pups. I love that they have a camera to keep an eye on your dog during the day and how happy/tired my (very energetic) pup comes back. It’s also open until 8!

Our mini Dachshund Glizzy loves Happy Dogs! We were a bit hesitant about sending our 4 month old pup to doggy daycare because of how small and fragile he is but Happy Dogs pre-assessment requirement put our minds at ease. Happy Dogs is the only place in the area opened till 8PM which is a huge plus since we work long days. Glizzy stays the entire day and comes home super tired, passing out in the car on the way home, which is great for us! The staff is super friendly and you can tell they love what they do.

Our dog loves going to Happy Dogs! Whenever we leave our apartment now, he leads us right in their direction. We love how communicative they are and being able to check in on him via the live stream is a plus. Would recommend to anyone looking for doggie daycare in LIC!

My pup absolutely loves it here! Hes has separation anxiety and this is the only place I can leave him where he just doesnt care that Im gone. He literally loses his mind with excitement when we arrive and tries to go back inside when I pick him up!

I love Happy Dogs LIC. Also, my pup loves going here. She is a 5 pounds small dog, but she gets along with the other dogs. I think they take care of all dogs attentively. The staff are so friendly and helpful as well!

Very “happy” with this dog daycare. The scheduling system is super convenient and whenever I drop my dogs off they seem to be excited. My only criticism is that I wish it were easier to get in touch with someone. Email is the only way to contact an employee about a check-in or question, which I think is a little annoying. You are always deferred to the email system if you have any sort of inquiry.

Wouldn’t recommend this place. The staff doesnt try to make your dog feel welcome from the second your drop off and pick up. The exchange of checking them in and out is weird and the only form of communication is through email. I asked about payment and they told me they didn’t know and to just email and ask about it. When checking in my dog each time i’ve come, the staff never greet or say anything to you, they simply take your leash and try to force your dog through the door. The dogs seem to get shushed each time they start barking when you arrive for pickup, you can hear it even through the door. I’ve tried this place out 3 times now and each time it’s been the same thing, I thought I would give it a couple chances but I will not be bringing my dog back.

We love and trust Happy Dogs with our pup! Unlike many other doggie daycares, Happy Dogs is extremely transparent and diligent about keeping dogs happy and safe. They have a constant livestream where you can watch your pup all day, and theyve gone out of their way to email us with even the slightest concerns or changes theyve noticed with our pup, which makes us confident that they care about his well being. Weve been coming here now for over half a year and regularly feel good sending our little guy here to play and get a good workout in while were in the office every week.Weve also sent our pup to the Happy Dogs boarding (McCarren Park location) and truly would not trust any other place the way we do the lovely folks that run Happy Dogs.

When searching for a place to put my new puppy during my long hours I came across Happy Dogs. Once meeting with them, the decision was easy to make to send him their way during the day. They respond quickly and have the hours available to work around most busy NYC work schedules. My puppy always comes out happy to see me and even more excited when he goes in the morning to see his friends!

My Cavapoo puppy loves coming here! The facility is never too crowded and being able to watch him on their live camera feed adds peace of mind.

My pup has been a member of the pack since he was a few months old. He loves going a few days a week and I feel a sense of relief when I drop him off because I know he is in the most caring hands. They provide updates throughout the day if my dog spits up or plays a little too rough. They also have great events to meet the employees and other dog parents! Location couldn’t be more convenient, and they open as early as 7am and stay open until 8 on weekdays. I highly recommend Happy Dogs!

My dog has been going to Happy Dogs for a few months and were all happy! He pulls me right to the door when were walking by.While the lack of a front desk is weird at first, we quickly got used to it.The staff is quick at picking up any messes in their space, as I notice in the live cam. Also, their baths are so thorough I always prefer asking them instead of attempting it myself.

So glad we found Happy Dogs! Weve been bringing our puppy there for 5 months now. The staff are all super friendly and its easy to see how much they care and love all the dogs. They are quick to contact us (via email) if anything seems off with our pup. Our pup loves going there and playing with all her friends! Its comforting to know shes in good hands!

My dog loves going to Happy Dogs LIC for daycare! Every morning he excitedly waits at the door to be let in. Also, the staff has been wonderful! Our puppy started having GI upset while he was at the daycare, they immediately informed us and provided pictures which we were able to give to the vet for treatment. I am so glad we chose to send our puppy to Happy Dogs LIC (and so is he!).

The best in LIC!! Our dog was going to another daycare and we canceled our membership because they would always put her in time out. They would take way too many large dogs and didnt have room for them. That is not the case at Happy Dogs. On the camera, it looks very big and no dog goes in time out. Our values were inline with Happy Dogs--they dont cage the dogs away for wanted to play with other dogs (which is why they are there...), and the have a 30 second rule, which means they clean up after the dogs in 30 seconds. I cant tell you how many times so much was not cleaned up at the other place because the workers were not paying attention to the dogs. My dog LOVES happy dogs and we are so happy she is happy!!! Highly recommend!

We love happy dogs for boarding! The staff makes the process to check in/out very easy. Our dog, Rufus, is always excited when walks in. Boarding can be stressful for owners and dogs. Happy Dogs gives access to their nest cam during their stay so you can always to check in on your pup! Our dog also tends not to eat when hes away from us. Each day Happy dogs staff will give you an update on your dogs eat habits and daily activity. When we saw Rufus was not eating his full meal, Happy Dogs emailed us and suggested a wet food they have at store. His next meal he ate it all! Would highly recommend their services when you have to spend a few days away from your pup!

We absolutely love Happy Dogs and it has seriously been a life saver for us. We use both their daycare and boarding services. We boarded our pup for a little over a week and knew she was in great hands. We also got frequent updates and pictures while we were away. Our pup goes to Happy Dogs typically 3 days a week and is always SO excited to get there! When we pick her up, she is exhausted from a day of running around and playing with her pup friends and then sleeps the rest of the night! Thank you Happy Dogs!!! We appreciate you!

I have two puppies who are on the small side but have a lot of energy. At first, I tried a different day care since it was cheaper. When I went to pick up my puppies, they didn’t seem like they wanted to go back. I don’t think the other day care did anything wrong but it just wasn’t for my pups. So I tried Happy Dogs after seeing all the great reviews. They absolutely love it. I think it’s great that both big and small dogs are mixed in. Despite that my dogs are about 6lbs each, they love to play with the big dogs. So here they get to play with both. The staff here is also amazing. They are always very friendly and helpful. It always puts me and my pups in a good mood after interacting with them.

Happy Dogs is the best!! After comparing different options, we selected Happy Dogs because of how seriously they take the responsibility of looking after our dogs. I appreciated that they vetted dogs through an interview process, making sure our dog got along with the rest of the pack before accepting her. They are attentive and make sure to email us if our dog has any tummy issues. They are also on top of us to make sure all the shots and meds are up to date. All of these things make us super comfortable leaving our pup with them for the day. We couldnt be HAPPIER with Happy Dogs!

Our dog has been going to daycare at Happy Dogs for almost as long as theyve been open in LIC. The team always takes excellent care of her, and I love how on top of everything the staff is. They always keep pawrents in the know with important things, like when a vaccine will expire, and our pup is due for a booster- they often remind us before our vet!The team is always friendly and smiling. Its so important to have people and a place you can trust with your fur children, as they cant speak for themselves. I like that they have live cameras, so I can see what my dog is doing during the day. I always feel our dog is in good hands at Happy Dogs.

Thanks to the staff at Happy Dogs LIC, our dog loves going to daycare. As a rescue dog, at first our pup was hesitant and not excited to head to daycare, but in just a couple of days, the staff made our dog comfortable. As a team, the staff is also super responsive to any requests whether in-person, via email or over the phone. As much as possible, they aim to work with you to meet your (and your dogs needs). Additionally, they are super close to the 7 train (Vernon Blvd. stop) which makes it super easy, too!

Happy Dogs evaluates every dog before welcoming into the pack - this way, the pawrents can be confident that no bad apple is in the pack. Happy Dogs also offers live video feed so a pawrent can monitor how his/her pup is doing. Great work by Happy Dogs overall!

Weve been sending our dog Blaze to Happy Dogs on a weekly basis since moving to LIC this summer. Now, whenever we say the word daycare, he goes out of his mind with excitement! The facility is clean and the web site is very millennial-friendly, allowing for easy booking, check-in and check-out. The live stream and email updates give us comfort that he is in good hands.

My husband and I have been going to Happy Dogs in the Manhattan Kips Bay location since we first adopted our 3yo rescue Bitty almost 3 years ago. We struggled to find a place that we trusted until we found Happy Dogs. We moved to Queens and we brought our dog into the Kips Bay location because it was the only place we trusted. However, we were so relieved they opened a new location in LIC shortly after we moved to Queens. (I literally begged them to open a Queens location and they actually did it! Wow!)The staff is amazing with our dog which is a pitbull terrier mix and despite her anxiety around people, our dog starts to pull and wag her tail the minute we get to the corner. LIC is really lucky to get a place like Happy Dogs. We are very picky and they are amazing with dogs and anxious dog mamas and papas.Whether its daycare, boarding, bathing, pickup/drop off or nail trimming services, we could not be happier and fully at peace with how Bitty is cared for. Their customer service to the parents are super friendly, responsive and attentive. I can check in with how she is getting on with her buddies (dogs and staff) through the live cam, drop an email or even receive their automatic update and pic when she is boarded. We cannot recommend Happy Dogs enough!

Update;No it’s not a fake review. My partner communicated with Katya. Calling someone fake says even more.If an owner responds likes to respond to all negative reviews, it also says a lot about them. The handbook obviously didn’t say word for word your dog can’t move but it implies it can’t move much.—Same issue as other poster. There was a reviewer who posted about their puppy moving too much. I know for sure my 10 month old puppy move too much.They have a handbook asking your dog to mainly to not move. I didn’t go to their assessment because of their repeated indication what your dog must or must not do,...really emphasized on the zooming. We send her to another daycare and surely our pup is zooming around.Why would one send to daycare to not move around? - Pupper you can sit at home. Good girl.And you need climb a ladder to see your pup. I want to laugh everything I think of this.

Happy Dogs is hands down the best doggy daycare I have ever come across! We made a big mistake by sending our puppy, Casper, to Pooches, where he got severely injury and had to go through surgery as a young pup. To my disappointment, the owner at Pooches, Alex, was rude and unprofessional and couldnt care less about what had happened to Casper under his supervision. After Casper was fully recovered, my husband and I wanted to make sure that Casper would be in good hands. And Happy Dogs came to our rescue! Happy Dogs has a live video feed so that you can spy on your dog at all times, and they have amazing, top-notch employees who truly care about your dogs well-being and go above and beyond to make sure that your pup is healthy and happy. We will be moving to Manhattan in a few months and we are planning to send Casper to Happy Dogs on 23rd street - we wont even consider any other option. Go check out Happy Dogs - you will not regret!

I bring my puppy, Peanut, here and she loves it so much she doesnt want to leave at the end of the day. The facilities are super clean and the dogs are generally not barking when I arrive which I take as a good sign since barking usually means stress, overexcitement, or attention needed.Peanut has made a lot of friends and the Happy Dogs social media Instagram and Facebook are very active so no matter where I am I can see what shes doing there. I love watching the web cams while Im at work, it gives me some peace of mind just knowing I can check in any time.I definitely recommend Happy Dogs to anyone looking for a day care.

Zoe and I live Happy Dogs. She gets to play and have fun all day while I can have the peace of mind that she’s in the best hands possible. Their hours are great, the place is super clean and everyone is super helpful. It’s been about a year that Zoe has been going twice a week and we haven’t had any issues. Happy Dogs keeps us SANE! My wife and I have boarded our dog, Austin, with Happy Dogs at McCarren Park a number of times while we go away. When we moved from Brooklyn to Long Island City, even though there were other options we were not satisfied and would keep taking Austin to Happy Dogs in Brooklyn for boarding.Imagine how ECSTATIC we were when Happy Dogs opened up less than a block from us on our street. The days that Austin is at Happy Dogs are the days that he comes home, walks in the house, and trots his happy butt over to his bed to sleep. I dont mean nap...I mean he will be so tired from playing all day that he will sleep from 6 or 7 p.m. until the next morning. Him being normally pretty hyper (75 pounds of hyper!), it is a blessing for him to be so tired, and frankly it helps with his attention.We went to the LIC location on grand opening day, got a tour of the facilities, and signed up immediately to put Austin in daycare two days a week. The packages are flexible and come with some perks.There is a LIVE CAMERA that is active the entire day so you can see how your pup is doing, who your pup is playing with, and basically procrastinate doing any work. We watch it rather frequently and have never seen anything that would cause us to worry. No mistreatment or abuse. Just refereed playtime!I can tell you that Austin loves it too. Hes memorized the route and the second we go off of our normal walking path, his tail starts wagging up a storm and he starts to pull us towards the door. You cant go wrong with making your dog happy. Hes devoted his entire life to unconditionally loving our family - the least we can do is let him have the time of his life!Did I mention they take pics of your pups and share them with you? Heres one of Austin, because who wouldnt want to see a dog?!?!

Horrible Experience! Owner of this store is super stuck up, Her name is Jennifer. Dont do business with this person. When I went inside the store she was talking to one of her employees so rudely. She has no people skills whatsoever. She makes them feel bad, She looks like one of those people who always has an attitude problem too . Im glad Im not taking my dog in this store. People who have this kind of temperament shouldnt be a manager of any store/company.

They took the cutest picture of my dog who doesnt sit still. I was also able to watch live footage of him playing. Checking in and out was a quick process and could do it by phone.

Hi :) I have been sending my 6 month old mini-goldendoodle pup Leo to Happy Dogs LIC since he was 4 months old. I am a teacher and I tutor in Manhattan once a week and felt bad leaving Leo home alone all day. Leo loves daycare. He loves the staff and all his friends. I love that I dont have to worry about him all day and that he comes home completely exhausted!! I also love that I can watch him on the camera whenever I want! Happy Dogs LIC takes such good care of our dog, and has done so since we first adopted her as a puppy. They create such a warm environment where all of their staff knows our dog and are familiar with all of her quirks and make her feel like family. Their live-stream camera is the best distraction, their bath services are such a nice touch and our dog legitimately looks forward to playing there every day. The staff always tries to go the extra mile to help us out with our busy schedule - its no wonder why theyre so popular with dogs and humans alike.We cant say enough nice things about Happy Dogs!

New to Happy Dogs LIC but so happy we took the step. Our puppy was extremely anxious around other dogs and people. We thought day care would be the best option to help build his confidence. Happy Dogs LIC took the proper care and time for our dog to get comfortable. They offer so much with being a monthly member and we’re so happy Chile is having a great time with the staff and his furry friends. He’s improved so much while being there. The drop off/pick up is awkward. Dog handlers dont answer questions if you ask them. All comms are done online.

Highly recommend happy dogs LIC! They’ve treated my dog great and always respond whenever I have any questions. I started taking her during the pandemic when they only opened Wednesday’s and made me feel safe and comfortable. These guys are great! Love that my girl is part of the pack.

Our puppy has been going to Happy Dogs LIC for a few weeks and he always has the best time! He drags us there every week. The staff is great with keeping parents informed and the webcam is great to check-in on our puppy. We will be continuing to bring our puppy to Happy Dogs!

We take our boxer to Happy Dogs and they have been nothing but great! The staff are very attentive with the dogs and easy to work with when anything comes up. We have been very happy using them for the past several months and will continue to do so!

My boyfriend and I have been taking our dog Ozzie to Happy Dogs LIC for a few months now. We had a few questions when we first signed up and the Happy Dogs staff answered all of questions quickly and clearly. Our dog is a 6lb chihuahua under a year old so we were worried about his size but really wanted to get him socializing with other dogs, and Happy Dogs has turned out to be a wonderful place to do so! He gets to interact with dogs of all sizes and breeds, and I feel comfortable and confident with having him there. They test out all of the dogs before accepting them into their daycare and staff is present at all times to make sure there isnt too much roughhousing. And the staff is wonderful, Ozzie is obsessed with one of the staff members in particular and I see him follow him around all day! I love the fact that I can sneak a peak using the live cam during the day. I have been able to see Ozzies confidence grow with other dogs in the past few months thanks to Happy Dogs LIC. When we first brought him we had to drag him into the building but now he walks in willingly and excitedly. It also gives mom and dad a little break during the week! The check in and check out service is so quick and easy to do and their member website is user-friendly. I would highly recommend Happy Dogs LIC to anyone looking for a friendly, caring, and affordable establishment!

We moved to Long Island City last year and immediately enrolled our (very energetic!) 18 month old pup at Happy Dogs LIC. He LOVES it and drags us in their direction with every walk. We take him in a few times a week (dog walker every other day) because he has such a great time, that he wipes himself out :) The team is very supportive, and always communicating if there are any issues at all. They are also SO helpful with the drop off program on days we work late. You do need to build in some drop off/pick up flexibility if you need to board - they take the dogs to the McCarren location for any overnight stays and need to transport them to and from. But we cant recommend them enough!

Great place, they make sure my dog is taken care of and definitely love having him around!

I first took my husky here when I lived in East Village a year and a half ago. Im so happy they opened up shop in LIC. Best dog daycare center ever!
