Dozo Dog LIC

Dozo Dog is my Nelly girl’s favorite place! We’ve been sending her here relatively regularly over the last year since we got her as a little pup and Dozo has been so great with her. She’s super high energy and completely dog obsessed so she can be A LOT but the staff at Dozo have always managed her with care.They have free live cam footage, which is such a nice feature to be able to check in on her from time to time, and they also send regular photo and video updates. I’m not great about remembering to take pictures, so the benefit of having frequent photos of her, especially as she’s grown through this first year of her life is SUCH a gift.We’ve also used Dozo dog for bath services, and even though Nelly hates baths they somehow manage to do a great job with her every time.The staff is all super friendly and accommodating and the merch they sell is all so cute and good quality! We’re so lucky to have Dozo Dog nearby!

Our puppy has been going to Dozo for almost a year now and he is obsessed with it and everyone who works there! He pulls us there every single time we step outside our building. The owners, Louis and Yukako, are super communicative and transparent with what’s going on everyday. Management and staff alike always send us photos to show our pup having the best time and to show he’s been taken on his daily relief walk. Raising a pup in LIC has been much easier with such knowledgeable and helpful people taking care of him while we’re at work!

My dog Percy has been going to daycare for about 6 months now he is always so happy and excited when going to daycare. They are super friendly, clean, and organized. I always feel comfortable leaving my dog at daycare when I have to be at work. I always get update pictures of my dog that makes my day. And my dog comes home from such a fun day playing with the other cute dogs and with the friendly staff as well. Truly love having my dog going and having fun at daycare.

Iggy has been to Dozo dog for more than a year and he LOVES there!! Lots of fun and play while we are not with him. Employees are super nice. The camera access helps me to know how his day look like.

I can’t say enough great things about Dozo! The staff here are incredibly caring and professional, and they always make sure my dog feels right at home. From the moment we walk in, I can tell they genuinely love and understand dogs, which gives me such peace of mind. My pup comes home happy and tired after a fun day of play, and I’ve noticed improvements in his social skills, too. The facilities are clean, and I love that they send updates and pictures throughout the day. Highly recommend Dozo for anyone looking for a safe and loving environment for their dog!

As a loyal customer of over two years, I highly recommend Dozo Dog! We have two Shiba Inus who don’t enjoy baths and shed heavily with the seasons, so it’s tough for me to bathe them myself. I’m very grateful to Dozo Dog for always giving them a thorough wash, leaving their fur clean and fluffy. The staff has a great attitude, and the environment is extremely clean, which gives us peace of mind.

We live 2 blocks from dozo dog and it is sensational. Clean and has live cameras which I can see how Aaron, my dog is doing. My dog is only 10 months old and he has always been very energetic, but somehow with dozo dog he has all the fun and comes home tired, which is great because that means straight to bed and peace for my family. The dog handlers like Arthur has treated my dog very nice and with care. From time to time they place Aaron in time out which is good so Aaron can learn what to do and what not to do around other dogs. Aaron has also been to boarding which the price is really good and flexible for both my mother and I. They accept you to bring your dogs own food which is great because my mother likes to make him fresh food at home and bring his lunchbox during the day. The first day Aaron ever went boarding his lunch box came clean and tidy and they washed his containers which is great to just put in the drawer again easily. During the night they place a bed for the dogs and each of them stay in there own little corner with cameras from every angle. I have done laparoscopic surgery on Thursday and with dozo dog I can rest in peace and recover knowing Aaron is well taken care of. If I could I would pay the staff double for always keeping the doggy daycare so clean and tidy. The staff don’t rest until everything is alright. Thank you very much for training Aaron to be the best dog possible. I know he is not easy, but dozo dog is prepared to take any punches that go their way.

Updated reviewIve since moved from LIC, but during my time there, I dropped my dog off at Dozo so many times and Ive never felt more safe leaving my dog with them. Highly recommend if youre in the area and looking for a pet daycare :)And they always send so many cute photos on every single stay!

Our dog Luna has been part of the Dozo family for over 3 years. She started going to Dozo’s Astoria location in 2021, and has been going to the LIC location since they opened. I cannot say enough amazing things about Louis, Yukako and the entire team at Dozo Dog! Everyone there truly loves and care for the dogs as if they were their own. The space is impeccably clean, not over-crowded, they employ kind and loving dog handlers, and they regularly send photos and videos of your dog when they are there. In addition, they host fun events/parties throughout the year. Luna has separation anxiety, but she eagerly leaves me without hesitation every time we go to Dozo as she cannot wait to hang out with her favorite human and canine friends! I would highly recommend Dozo Dog to every pet parent I know!

I’m a travel writer and Dozo Dog LIC takes such good care of my pup while I’m away! I have a high energy pitbull husky mix and they have gone above and beyond to make sure his experience is enjoyable. We’ve been going to them for a little over a year and could not recommend Luis and the team more. I receive photos 2x daily and updates while out of town and as you can see my little one is always having a blast. He always comes back in tip top shape and eager to return. (*not an ad)

Botched my sisters dog haircut, they shaved it all off.My sister asked for the top to be shaved and the groomer understood a cocker spaniel cut but when we got her back this was the result.(right picture was her before the botched cut)*Update* to your response.Yes its true ive been here several time with both my dogs and this has never happened but this time.My sister is very young and she does not know how to express her opinions in public, so when she went home and she was devastated she called me which is why I left the review.She requested a shorter cut, (cocker spaniel cut) still have the skirt on but a shorter length and she requested bottom of the paw pads not a whole complete shave.You also mentioned that the groomer quit via email. If what you said was true why would she have quit?

Moving to this neighborhood with a puppy struggling with separation anxiety was tough until we found Dozo. Its been a real lifesaver for us. Since our first visit last July, Charlie has loved it there. Its the only place where he doesnt get anxious when we leave him. And being at Dozo has also helped him learn to be more independent over time because he knows well always come back. He loves playing with his friends at Dozo while burning off all his Aussie Shepherd energy. And even after many months, Charlie still gets super excited to go there. He runs straight to the door, ready to play.

The sole reason we moved to LIC was because Dozo is our dog’s (and mine to be honest) absolute favorite place to be! First of all the prices are so reasonable and you can book right on an app. You can then stalk your dog and his friends all day on the cams, which gave me so much peace of mind when he was first attending daycare as I didn’t know how he would be with a large group of dogs. I had nothing to fear as the entire staff is attentive to all the dogs! As if these aren’t reasons enough, they will send you the cutest videos and pictures of your pup throughout the day that will melt your heart because you know they’re having the best time ever. Other perks: they will feed your dog at whatever time you need, they will take them on a relief walk and they also have a private dog park that you can sign up your dog for (mine loves it!). I can honestly go on and on but you should try it for yourself! Oh, and don’t get me started on their grooming services (shout out to Xana!). Lastly, Louis is the best and is really great at building a community! We love love love the Pool Pawty! 🏝️

This place helped me when I needed last minute daycare for my dog while visiting NYC. The staff was very helpful in getting me setup quickly. They have tons of cameras to watch your dog and there is an outdoor area too!

We absolutely LOVE Dozo Dog. Our Nyla girl can be very nervous in new environments and was actually turned away and put on “probation” at two different daycares because she would jump at the high barn-door gates since she was nervous. As a dog mom I was heartbroken since I know how sweet and silly my girl can be once she warms up to people. Thank goodness we found Dozo Dog - Louis, Yukako, and all the staff are so lovely and they are so wonderful with all the dogs. Trust me when I say the difference is noticeable - in the other daycares looking at the live cams, it felt like the dogs were just chickens crowded in a coop, and she came home smelling that way. Not here: the space is quite large and Nyla always comes home smelling fine and tuckered out.I will say at first I felt as though their prices were fair but on the higher end, but after trying other cheaper routes I can confidently say Dozo Dog is 10000% worth the investment. You truly get what you pay for. I love getting updates via text every time she’s there and the comfort of the live cams - whenever I check in on Nyla she’s always playing and having a blast! She literally doesn’t even look back at me when I drop her off because she’s so excited to go and see her friends and all of the staff.We are so thankful for Dozo Dog! Would give 10 stars if I could!

Our pup LOVES coming to Dozo Dog! We are so happy to have found a great daycare that takes good care of our pup but is also so convenient to our apartment. Im easily able to walk over to this location before work to drop off our pup and jump right on the train (its right next to the Queens Plaza stop). We had tried out a few other day care locations around LIC but this place by far takes the cake. We love the space, especially because it has a ton of natural light. Some of the places we brought our pup were in spaces with no windows and we didnt like that.We also love that there is a dog park option at this location and our pup is able to go out and play with other dogs during his day instead of spending it all day indoors - which, in this space, isnt bad either.They have a great app/site available for owners to check in on their pups via cameras, with multiple views of the space, and they send daily photo pupdates to us which I personally love. Some of the photos Louis and his team have taken are some of my favorite photos of my pup.Thanks to Louis and team for always taking such good care of our baby!

We are huge fans of Dozo Dog! We brought our mini doxie, Hugo, to Dozo when he was just over 4 months old because of an international trip we needed to make and we were obviously quite nervous to do so. But before boarding him, we did a day of daycare and felt so assured that they would take good care of our pup. The facility is clean, the people who work there clearly care about the dogs they see every day, and they send fantastic picture and video updates for both daycare and boarding. You can also access their webcam feed to check in on your pup. The owners, Yukako and Louis, are also fantastic — super understanding and it’s clear they care deeply about the work they do! We go to Dozo at least 3x a week now and it’s great to feel like you’re leaving your pup in a safe and fun place. Hugo loves it!

We LOVE Dozo! We have been brining our dog Nori there for over a year, since she was a puppy. The Dozo team helped her learn how to socialize and play well with other dogs. She always has the best time ever, and comes home happy and tired. All of the employees treat her well, and Louis and his wife always give me the best updates on how her day went, who she played with the most, etc. The picture and video updates are the best as well, we get many all throughout the day. They even checked in on her multiple times when she was sick and couldn’t attend daycare. We love the staff and the other dogs there! It’s Nori’s home away from home.

Dozo Dog Care created a safe and nurturing environment, allowing dogs to socialize and play. My dog had a blast and was well taken care of, evident by his happy demeanor when I picked him up. The facility is clean and well-maintained, ensuring a great space for dogs to enjoy themselves. We love everything about Dozo Dog—daycare, grooming, and boarding. We’ve tried other daycares, and Dozo is the only one Sophie is excited to go to. Everyone is very kind, and we love the photo and video updates throughout the day.

I’ve been sending my dogs (mostly my husky, Cashmere) to Dozo ever since it first opened its LIC location and I only have wonderful things to say about this establishment. Everyone pays a lot of attention to all the dogs and truly enjoys being with them. I always find my dogs so happy and satisfied when I pick them up. I get to watch them on camera in real time and also receive photo updates via text from the team which makes me trust the Dozo’s team even more. The owners of Dozo, Louis and Yukako, always give me a brief recap of the day for Cashmere, on who he played with and who his favorite play dates were and I just love this information because it tells how much attention they pay to the dogs :)Shoutout to the whole team because watching a husky isn’t easy!! My dogs love love Dozo with their whole heart.

Update: after over a year of bringing my dog to Dozo, Im still very happy and satisfied with the service and care provided. The staff and team is amazing and definitely take good care of the dogs. Dozo makes my dog happy and I can leave him there comfortably knowing he is having fun and being well taken care of.Id highly recommend it if you need a place for your dog to hang out.Love it. Clean, cameras, and a park. So happy to found a place for our dog who likes to play and have fun. Services are great and they groom too!

My dog has been getting her haircut here since March and Xana always does the most amazing job. I’m so glad I found them because I know I can trust them with my baby. I love how they have parties for the pups and although my dog isn’t the most social they still make her feel special and for that thank you 😊!

I can’t express enough how amazing Dozo Gog’s staff are let alone the facility. You won’t get a staff that is more attentive and caring. The facility itself is very clean, spacious and dynamic. I bring Mambo a few times a month as a treat and he loves it. I was taking him to another dog day care near my business where they literally cut him so bad when trimming his nails it left him traumatized. The groomers at Dozo where fantastic when I accessed this particular service. The only disadvantage is its location. Slightly off my path but that is purely circumstantial, they are worth it.

I would highly recommend Dozo dog for grooming & daycare. They pay attention to miso needs,updates you with cute pics like the ones below. Miso & I love the whole team!! ❤️

Update: Excellent! Mia recently spent Thanksgiving there, I was able to watch her 7/24. Everything is super transparent with them. I knew how much I will pay and what kind of excellent service I will get. I even knew when my dog went out for restroom. They sent photo & video updates. Mia also has her haircuts there. I would 100% recommend them to anyone. The best thing is they have huge windows. Anyone can go and watch how they operate from the window (if anyone has any concerns).5 stars isnt enough for Dozo Dog! My pup, Mia, loves spending her days here, and I love the peace of mind that comes with knowing shes in great hands. The staff is attentive, caring, and clearly passionate about what they do. The facility is clean, well-organized, and filled with happy wiggles and joy. Mia comes home exhausted but content, and I couldnt ask for more. Highly recommend this top-notch doggy daycare to anyone looking for a safe and fun place for their furry friend! Kudos to everyone Louis, Yukako and the whole DozoDog team!

My first time ever writing a review not the biggest fan of them but I believe Dozo has earned this review . I moved from Toronto to Long Island City at first dozo was not open up here. Hershey and I tried numerous daycares and none lived up to my standards either being dirty or rude etc. Once we tried Dozo, I knew it was the one because DOZO team and ownership went over and beyond. I am a helicopter dad to my frenchie Hershey and Dozo never judges . I currently went home for 10 days , Hershey being a stubborn frenchie did not want to eat , which is common but after day 3 and 4 it became a concern for me and their team and almost cancelled my trip. However They kept in contact me via txt with a direct line to them to get updates and try to solve hersheys problem . Once they told me he’s still not eating I had cheese slices delivered to Dozo to add to his food , however he still did not eat. Dozo team reached out to me again giving me an update, I gave them permission to feed hershey just the cheese slice they went over and beyond by feeding it by hand they could have broke into pieces into his bowl, but they treated Hershey like their own dog. However cheese was not going to be suffice and he would still be hungry, next we tried treats that they carry within the shop after discussing with their team we did not think it would be enough food for him over the remainder of the trip. so I had chicken delivered three times as well, once again they went over and beyond with the chicken. I would like to say thank you to Dozo and their team for treating Hershey and I part of the family and allowing me to stay on my trip and catering to my diva of a dog. Hershey loves Dozo and so do I. Thank you to Dozo and their team for taking care of Hershey.

I would highly recommend Dozo Dog LIC a million times. They have very friendly and professional staff on site, very knowledgeable and attentive to the needs of any dog that’s in their care. What’s very unique and fun are the pop-up photo shoots and seasonal themed events. This is my dog Otto’s happy place.

If you’re looking for a reliable daycare AND groomer, look no further! I’ve brought my pup to Dozo Dog LIC for a little over a year now and truly don’t trust any other place.

My partner and I attempted to make an appointment and were unable to. We sent them all of our dog’s records, which they either could not read properly or didn’t want to read properly. We just wanted our baby to get a haircut before our family vacation. They kept hanging up the phone, their app wanted to have access to lots of data in our phone and they didn’t want to accept our dog even though she is fully vaccinated and well cared for as she is a certified service dog in two countries. It’s a shame that we were somehow profiled over the phone. We will just return to Pup Studio on the upper east side. They are super friendly, clean, and have a very posh dog store. They give you a journal book of your dogs care and take photos! Highly recommend you check them out and avoid this place at all costs.

I have nothing but great things to say about this place. My dog has high anxiety and is nervous around people and he immediately felt at home here. I can tell the great care they have for all the dogs that walk thru their doors. I’m glad to have found this place and bring him in regularly now.

We love dozo dog LIC. I passed by it on a run before we got our dog and thought it would be the perfect daycare for her. The space is big and clean with large windows and the staff is friendly. I leave her for a full day and they send me updates throughout the day via text message with photos. I also appreciate that they have multiple cameras so that you can watch your dog live, which I occasionally do while I work. I also get her groomed every once in a while while I leave her for the day and she always comes back smelling nice and clean. I recommend this place!!

Dozo Dog LIC is our preferred daycare and boarding business in the neighborhood. We have taken our three year old dog (70 lbs) to four other dog daycare businesses in Long Island City, and Dozo Dog is by far our favorite. The staff is friendly and attentive, multiple cameras are available to access 24/7, the business is upfront and communicative with their pricing, and, most importantly, our dog looks forward to spending time in their facility. We removed our dog from other local daycares because (1) he would come home smelling like Lysol or urine, and (2) another local business was not upfront about their pricing and would charge patrons for a full day of daycare after an overnight stay, even if the pet was picked up as soon as they opened.Having a reliable daycare in our neighborhood has been a relief, and we will continue to use Dozo Dog whenever we need to send our dog to daycare or board him for trips. We have also used their groomer for trimming our dogs nails (which has been a HUGE help), and appreciate that patrons can add on (for a fee) outdoor play time in their private dog park. It truly helps in providing piece of mind for when our furry companion needs exercise while we are out of town.

First time leaving my puppy here today and I can’t express how great the staff were and how informative and patient, the owner Luis, was very friendly and informative on how your puppy does during playtime while at daycare. They have a great approach when your puppy is misbehaving or not playing well with others. This is by far best place to bring your puppy, they are patient, place is super nice, and they have cameras at all angles for you to be able to view your dog playing. If you live in the area don’t waste your time trying any other daycare, this is by far the best place for your pup.

I havent even got an appointment yet, and I know I dont want my dog to be here.1. The App Is extremely invasive with the permission it needs. 100% deleted.2. Called, called, put on hold, then dropped, then called 6 times no one to answer. Finally I was able to connect.3. Sent them 3 years of medical records stating all of my dogs information. Including all the vaccines with dates of applications, including the Rabies vaccine certificate. Which are up to date.However, they seemed confused or are plainly lazy and not reading since they are rejecting my dogs papers. These records come and have been used all along NYC and NJ in places like the Schwarzman Animal Medical Center and PUPStudio on the UES, and most recently with my pets new Vets at Court Square.I ended up calling a new place that has better administration and is way friendlier. I dont like being treated as a number rather than a person, because in the end thats how they would treat my dog.

Dozo Dog Long Island city is really really nice place to take your dog for a good day of daycare care they have a wide space for your fur baby to enjoy .They also have a dog park in the in the back. They also do dog walks and stuff and they are very professional. Their prices are so reasonable and they are just the friendliest people and they talk to your dogs and are very pleasant with the animals, I love them so much they are truly a blessing to me and my fur babies.And they have the best Grooming .❤️❤️❤️

Highly recommend this place for all of my dedicated dog moms and dog dads out there! Words can’t express how grateful I am for making the smart and wise decision to transition my puppy into this new daycare where she is valued, loved, and handled with great care. My Irish Setter 6 month old puppy, Canela’s experiences there so far have been top tier all thanks to Luis, the owner of Dozo, and his staff for being passionate, caring, honest and professional through their day to day operations.

Dozo Dog takes great care of our puppy at daycare and it’s become an important part of our routine to get him exercise and socialization in a controlled, safe way. They have an outdoor dog park access - which we love for our pup as he’s a large breed. It’s an additional fee which we’re happy to pay but I wish this was included in the daycare costs.

We absolutely love dozo and the whole crew!!!! Everyone there is super kind, patient, and playful. Louis especially is the best! The facility is also clean and comfortable. Our dog (who is normally incredibly attached to us and can even be anxious in some social situations) LOVES going. That’s the best part. She clearly got a lot of attention and love which was so reassuring to us. Similarly, we were so grateful to receive regular updates from staff and be able to check in on our baby through their many cameras. Couldn’t recommend more highly!!! Even if you’re like us and have a hard time with the idea of daycare or boarding, trust me, your dog will be in great hands.

This is THE PLACE to board your dog. 1) owner and his wife are real people who are accountable and conscientious—hands on and always available for contact no matter what you may need/questions/concerns2) workers are lovely and conscientious—so important3) 24/7 multiple cameras so you can check on your doggo at any time4) photos and videos daily sent to you while you are apart from your pet**I have boarded my dog here multiple times, and whereas I was afraid to travel before, I can go away now with ease of mind. The owners, Louis and his wife, Yukako are an excellent team; and I have complete confidence in them and the dogs in their care. Also they seem to attract really nice owners and dogs! They have boarding and grooming too and everything looks so clean and well-maintained. Excellent! So glad my friend told me about this place! I go out of my way to patronize this business as their standards are a cut above the rest and they run a tight ship.

I would not have a dog without this place. They are the absolute best. From the ownership, to employees, to customer care, they are amazing. My dog absolutely loves it there. Amazing Services they treat your pet as if it was there own they are very clean with the amount of dogs they have the place is kept up very well and you dont ever smell any awful smell which says allot for a place with the amount of dogs there. the management and employees are very friendly and helpful you need to have your dog go somewhere for over night or a few hours I reccomned DOzo dog

Having moved to LIC this past summer, I was worried about finding a new daycare for my pup Riley. I am so grateful to have found Dozo dog. My dog comes here most days of the week and always comes back super happy. He’s quite an anxious dog with new people but very quickly warmed up to all the staff and now loves them all.I also take Riley here for grooming and it he comes back looking perfect each time! It’s quite rare to find a place that excels at all of their services. The team is super professional, friendly and wonderful at communicating. I would highly recommend Dozo dog for daycare, boarding and grooming!

Our dog is a very shy dog who is extremely attached to us and can be very fearful of new people and dogs. I can’t believe how happy she looks in the pictures and videos they send us of her at daycare, and she’s only been three times! Anyone with a nervous dog knows how great it feels to see them relaxing and opening up to new people. Dozo dog is such a special place & we highly recommend it!
