The facility is spotless, safe, and radiates love and care—all thanks to Luis and his wife. Their genuine passion for animals shines through every interaction.Hayley received a full spa treatment and was ready for pick-up in just under an hour. Luis used a special keratin shampoo (formulated for pups) to help with her shedding, and the results were incredible. Hayleys coat has never looked better!I’ve seen Luis groom pups over the years at a local dog cafe and was thrilled to discover that he now has his own facility offering grooming, daycare, and boarding. Luis is unbelievably kind, patient, and clearly has a natural way with dogs of all sizes—Hayley adored him! Hayley is a rescue pup who can be nervous in certain situations, so I was completely in awe how safe she felt with him.As someone who works full-time in animal welfare, I’m extremely thorough about where I take my dog, and which businesses to support. Love this place! We followed Luis here after he decided to open up his open place because we enjoyed his input and care with our Bernedoodle. He listens to your needs, offers suggestions, and collaborates to get you the haircut you want. It took us a few haircuts to find the winning combo but it was a joyful discovery process. The place is always clean and the dogs are happy.

I have been taking my pup to Luis for grooming for a few years now and wouldn’t take her anywhere else! He does amazing job and a huge animal lover. I love that the grooming section is open unlike many other places where they take doggies to the back and keep them in cages.I was so glad when I heard that he and his wife opened their own daycare/grooming facility as I trust them 100%. La Pet House offers an extremely clean, warm, and thoughtfully curated space for doggies. I’ve brought my fragile old dachshund and my vivacious Yorkie mix doggies to be groomed by Luis. He is very knowledgeable about dog breeds and is thorough and gentle. My doggies always end up looking their best. La Pet’s staff are professional, friendly, and appear to genuinely enjoy being with dogs.

Luis has been grooming my dog for a while now and always does a fantastic job. He is great with dogs and always puts extra attention into grooming. I dont live close enough for daycare but would definitely feel confident leaving my dog here if I did.

We love Luis and all the staff La Pet House NY! As a first-time dog owner, I was scared to drop off Mabel for her grooming/daycare as she has never been to daycare before. But Luis made me feel comfortable enough to leave her behind for the groom and for play time (it was also reassuring that he had a Yorkie of his own!). When we came back, we saw that Mabel clearly enjoyed herself and had an amazing time. And Luis did such a great job with her groom! We trust him completely! Mabel followed Luis from Chateau Le Woof and she will follow her Tio anywhere!

After the grooming they offer free day care my dog. He was was playing withe other dogs and i did not have to rush back to pick him up. They even provided tips on maintaining my pet’s coat at home, which I found incredibly helpful. My puppy Max is really sensitive, even though we’ve been doing a lot of desensitization training at home. Luis is always incredibly patient with him. He not only makes Max feel comfortable, but also gives me great advice on desensitization and how to take care of his fur. Max always looks fantastic after each visit. Highly recommend Luis for anyone with a sensitive dog!

I have three dogs and let me tell you they all have very strong personalities. Luis takes their personalities into account when it’s time for each of them to get groomed. He is very accommodating to their needs.So when he and his family opened La Pet House I was thrilled!The space is large, clean and the staff loves all the dogs as if the dogs were their own.It’s a great place for dogs to socialize while they wait to be groomed or picked up!If your pup prefers privacy there is a little fenced area for them to relax.I wish I could be a dog just so my owner would take me to La Pet House!

We started bringing Milo here first for grooming and now for doggy daycare. I recently took my Leonberger, Otis, to LaPetHouse for grooming, and I couldn’t be more impressed! The staff was incredibly friendly from the moment we walked in, making both Otis and me feel at ease. Luis, the groomer, did an exceptional job with Otis’s thick, long fur, which requires someone with real expertise. When I picked him up, Otis looked amazing—his coat was beautifully trimmed and groomed, and he seemed so comfortable and happy. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with his grooming needs, and LaPetHouse is now the only place I’ll take him!

There is no one like Luis!!! He’s the best and takes such good care of my baby dog. She’s not the easiest to groom and hates getting her nails clipped, but Luis always takes the time to make sure she’s at ease and Flora Belle always looks perfect when I pick her up.

Louis and the team at Lapethouse are the only people I trust to groom and look after our anxious rescue pup! We were customers from Astoria who followed the crew to LIC because of how expertly Louis was able to navigate our Pyr mix’s nerves when grooming her. Found La Pet House through online reviews and agree with the 5 star rating! Our dog is usually super nervous and may come back with uneven areas/patchy due to the way the groomer may handle and interact with him. Happy to say, first visit and coat looks and feels evenly cut! Luís at La Pet House is the only groomer I trust with my 85lb golden doodle Charlie. When you arrive, the vibes are ✨ immaculate ✨, oozing with love for man’s best friend. You’re greeted by the super friendly Stefania, Luís’ business partner; and all the dogs in the pen who are there for boarding and day care. Tucked away is the back is Luís, the groomer and cornerstone of the establishment, where he can be found elbows deep in the dog washing station or masterfully snipping and clipping away at the hair on the pooch he has booked for the hour. His own pups, Chocolaté, Africa, and Bali are found snoozing away while Luís works. Not only is Luís a skilled and experienced groomer, but he is a wonderful, patient, and compassionate teacher to dog owners, especially novices like myself. Luís has invited me to observe him groom so that I can best care for Charlie at home with the same love and attention he gives to Charlie at La Pet House. The end to end grooming experience with Luís and La Pet House is bar none.

I love the set up at lapethouse! My dogs get to hang out and socialize with other dogs in between their grooming. My older dog is usually more shy but he does very well there and is not reluctant to go in. And my puppy just loves to play all day so its a win-win. Luis is the only groomer I would ever go to because hes the only one my dog, Jax, would ever go to. He started off at a different location and is a little further from where we live but I would travel across state lines to see him ! Jax can be nervous and Luis is always attentive and makes Jax feel more relaxed. 10/10 would recommend Luis and La Pet House to any and all dog owners.

Ive been bringing my dogs to Luis for grooming since I moved to the city. His work came highly recommended and from the first grooming I knew why! My dog started getting complimented as soon as we got outside! Hes groomed my older dog and my younger golden retriever and does a great job on each. We have used lapethouse for grooming and boarding services for our dog Alba and I would highly recommend for both. Luis is a very skilled groomer and always gives Alba the best cuts. Alba is a rescue with anxiety issues so we were nervous about leaving her for the long weekend, but she quickly became comfortable with the staff and other dogs. We received updates and photos everyday. Overall, we are very satisfied with the services at lapethouse and would strongly recommend to other dog parents.

Lapethouse is my doggie’s little heaven and the only place in NYC I trust to get my dog groomed ! Luis and his staff are so warm and loving towards dogs, and he’s also a very talented groomer! My dog always looks even more adorable after each groom. They also have included in all grooming free day-care during the day of the grooming, which my dog loves.

Luis is the best pet groomer there is. Unbelievable skill and care. He knows pets and understands their health as well. And he makes them look amazing! The new shop is pristine. Took my Australian Shepard here for her first ever groom and had a great experience. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and ensure every detail of the groom is pre-discussed so there are no mishaps. The facilities are exceptionally clean and I thought it was great that they had a free-roam area where the dogs can hangout and play while waiting to be picked up. Also, for what it’s worth, my dog tends to get anxious and she seemed like she didn’t want to leave so I can vouch that she also had a great experience. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be going back.

Couldn’t be happier with this grooming salon! I have taken my Goldendoodle Waffles a couple of times now for both a bath/brush and full groom and he always comes out looking absolutely beautiful! The staff at Lapethouse is also so kind and accommodating, you can tell how much they care about the pets they look after. Waffles can be very anxious and I immediately felt comfortable with leaving him in their care. The salon is clean and spacious, plenty of room for pups to play while they wait. Luis always takes the time to chat about my expectations for our service before hand, and even carried Waffles into the salon when he was extremely nervous for his first bath there! The facilities at La Pet House NY are top-notch, and you can see the dedication and love Carla and Luis have put in this place. They are like a family! Great experience at LaPetHouse. Rei, our scottish terrier, was at LaPet for grooming today. The place is pristine with lots of natural light. The staff is outstanding and attentive.Luis is an exceptional groomer, and you can immediately tell he masters his craft.Rei also enjoyed the daycare area and socialized with other dogs for a bit. He was really happy, jumping all over the place.I would definitely recommend LaPetHouse services.

Luis is by far the best groomer in NYC.Maxwell, the terrier on the right, has gotten his haircut with him for over 11yrs, since i rescued him. Bosco/nugget/costello (he has many names☺️), the shitzu on the left, has been seeing Luis on and off for 2 yrs, he comes from westchester because he has gotten bad haircuts up there and my parents love how Luis grooms him.The space is pristine bright and inviting. The only place I’ll take my fur baby! They always treat him with the same love and attention every time we go. My dog can be a bit hyper at times and they handle him with lots of patience which I appreciate and always leave him looking fresh. Definitely a must try place, my pup really feels at home there 🐾💙

The owners were so friendly and accommodating! They invited me to go in and see where my dog will be and I got to see the grooming area. That made me feel that was a safe place to leave my dogs. I LOVED that they didn’t put my dog in a crate while waiting for their turn to be groomed. They offered free daycare, which is very generous! I’m definitely going back for grooming and daycare.

I’ve never had one complaint about my pups haircuts and most importantly he always takes his time to care for my dogs skin issues when grooming him. What an amazing find in LIC! I brought my blind Alaskan Malamute in for a bath last minute and Luis was incredible. The first thing you’ll notice is how much he cares for the animals and the pride he takes in his work! Beyond the care and attention to detail, the prices for services are quite fair.I would highly recommend La Pet House to anyone looking for pet bath, grooming, daycare, or boarding.

Pleasant experience, for both my pup and I! Nice clean big facility with super attentive and friendly service. Price on par with other places in the neighborhood. Best of all - my pup often looks traumatized when I go to pick up at other places, but he was all smiles here, soft and fluffy and happy 😊 will visit again!
