Mike and his staff did wonders for our 6 month old puppy. We gave a list of issues we had with Kai to Mike, sent Kai to Mikes 3 week camp and he worked on each issue and corrected them! After the camp Mike comes to our house once a week to fine tune Kai and make sure we are on the same page with commands for Kai. Mike answers all calls and is there if we need him! I totally recommend the perfect pup! Thank you Mike and staff!

Mike and his team trained my 4 1/2 month old puppy Jackson. I felt comfortable with Mike and his capabilities from the first phone call with him. Jackson came back after the 3 week training knowing basic commands and walking on leash like a perfect pup!!! Mike and Nicole are a godsend. We have a 6 month old Cavachon (Nugget) who was a wild man when we brought him home. After three weeks with The Perfect Pup, he’s a great little dog. My wife and I decided to send our 5 month old frenchi to Mike for the three week training course. At first it was hard to send him away, three weeks seemed like such a long time. But we knew if he came back and had all the tools for success the Mike promised us it would be well worth it. Well our sweet pup came back and we immediately noticed major improvements. The house breaking was now on track, and he responded to all his commands. Of course the training is ongoing and my wife and I are putting in the work to make our pup perfect. There are no words to express our gratitude for Mike and what he has done for our dog Enzo. This was the best decision we’ve ever made and it truly did help our dog tenfold.Our little 8 month old pup was the sweetest and loving dog prior to training but at the same time, he was very mouthy, didn’t listen to commands, pulled on the leash every time we walked, and he dug in the yard, which became very frustrating. We ended up reaching out to Mike because our friends recommended him and the rest is history. After 3 weeks with Mike, our dog came back an entirely new dog, but didn’t lose his happy and loving traits which was the best part. I can’t say enough good things about Mike and his team. When we first spoke to Mike we were very skeptical about sending our dogs away for 3 whole weeks!!! We have a baby on the way and we wanted our new puppies to get the training they need to be well behaved when the baby comes. Nothing short of exceptional is perhaps the best way to describe our experience with Mike, his wife and his team. We have had dogs all of our lives, ranging from large labradors to small Maltese and have worked loosely with trainers in the past for general obedience. While we are certainly not experts, we have gained enough knowledge over the years to get our dogs to well obedient states.We currently have 2 Bernedoodles, one older and one at 8 months, who joined our family a few months ago. While he is the cutest thing you’ve ever seen, he was completely unmanageable - jumping, biting, barking, scratching, eating everything off the ground and terrorizing the other dog. Even with all of our experience and patience and attempts to train him, we found ourselves at a complete loss - home life with him became impossible and our kids didn’t want anything to do with him anymore. We had to make a drastic move with him and we knew it.We found PerfectPup online and the reviews were really good, so we reached out. Mike took the time to hear out our situation and then explained the programs he offers in detail and addressed all of our concerns. After weighing out the options, reluctantly, we opted for the 3 week away training with Mike and his family, as we felt a complete overhaul was absolutely necessary. Mike went over all the specifics with us and reassured us all along of the process, safety of our boy and guarantee to get him under control. It was definitely not easy sending him away so young, but it was the absolute best thing that we could have done.What Mike and his family and team did, was nothing short of a miracle and weeks later now, I’m still pinching myself to make sure this is real. After contacting MANY trainers for our 7 month old stubborn and energetic Bernedoodle, I was so grateful to have found Mike. I found myself stumbling upon trainers that seemed too “strict”, too food motivated, or not all that knowledgeable. Mike’s training was the perfect combo of positive reinforcement and correction. His lessons are leash based, which is something my husband and I would’ve never thought to do- we were solely using treats (which was not ideal). Each week was broken down into a different lesson. While Mike explained the lesson and ran through what the goals for that week were, he had a helper already working on that skill with our dog. Having that second, and sometimes even a third, person there to help reinforcement each lesson with not only the dog, but with us as well, was super helpful. I’d be lying if I said this training wasn’t expensive, but it was definitely worth it. From sit, to stay, to even learning the perimeters of our front yard and off leash walking, Whiskey has learned a ton of new skills. We wanted to keep our energetic family friendly puppy, just have him be taught some manners and to respect us, and Mike and his team most definitely accomplished that. Mike along with Walt are the best dog trainers! We had such a good experience with our pup. He is the most well behaved dog and everyone who meets him is shocked on how good he is at just 4 months old. These guys are the real deal and as nice as they come!! My husband and I decided to get a trainer for our 4 month old puppy as he was showing some behaviours we did not anticipate or knew how to handle properly. He started developing resource gurarding with food and Toys. He also would jump and bite us when very excited and it was very hard to control and manage for the two of us even working from home and being with him 24/7.We had reached out to several trainers but were not happy with the training methods and structure of the program. Before deciding to have a trainer in person we had tried Goodpup and lots of positive reinforcement training with him which helped to learn tricks and commands but without having treats he refused to listen to commands.When we reached out to Mike and told him our concerns he gave us some tips and we ultimately chose to put him on the board and training program for 3 weeks.He came back from Mike fully potty trained and he has learned all his basic commands. He learned how to settle in “place”. Before we sent our puppy to Mike it was very difficult for us to have him settle down in any area of the house other than keeping him in the playpen or crate. When Mike picked him up, he said that we did not need indoor potty training equipment for him or a playpen anymore and we are glad to say he was right. He’s been the calmest I have ever seen him after coming back from Mike. He also sleeps thorugh the night without having accidents. He walks great on leash and knows his recall. He is no longer scared of car rides after coming back from Mike.Although he’s still guarding some other things, Mike has given us the knowledge on how to handle him. Also anytime we have any question, Mike is always there to answer them for us. He also does boarding for our puppy when we travel. It has been the best investment for our puppy so far and My husband and I are very happy that we went with Mike.

Mike and his team of trainers helped us make a complete turn around with our dog. Our 2 year old Husky/Pitbull mix was terrified of strangers and going outside let alone being able to walk on a leash. I was worried nothing would change my dogs behavior because we had waited until he was 2 to really make the decision to change our situation, we were worried Neil’s situation didn’t have a solution. Mike is amazing! It was such a pleasure to work with him and his partner. They made it easy to learn so that we would know how to handle our dog the same way they do. Even our 6 year old was able to learn from them. We used Mike and The Perfect Pup for both lessons at our home and boarding/training. After 2 weeks boarding/training with Mike, our super active puppy came back a new dog! No longer jumping and nipping at our 4 year old (even when he provoked her), completely potty trained, and able to walk on leash calmly! Mike and the crew were beyond amazing! Not only turning my golden retriever puppy into an obedient and disciplined dog, but he also educated my girl friend and I on the proper ways to train a dog and why. We did the 8 week program with Mike for our very playful puppy. Having a brand new puppy with 4 young kids for the first time was very challenging and even after our first lesson with Mike we saw a great change in Belle. He taught us the tools to train her right from the start. He is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. We just finished our program and he assured us we can call him anytime if we ever need a refresher lesson. We have also used Mike to board Belle at his home which makes us feel completely at ease knowing she is in the best hands when we need to go out of town. . We definitely recommend using Mike.

Mike was amazing! We had originally enrolled our golden doodle in petco training classes which did not help. When Mike had started training our puppy is when we really started to see improvements. Our puppy went from rambunctious and disobedient to a well trained dog that would listen to many different commands including sit, down, stay, place and many more. Mike is an excellent trainer. We got our Boxer at 8 weeks old and Mike showed up on the very first night. He taught us things right from the very beginning that quickly instilled great habits to come. The program was amazing learning so many tricks to make our perfect pup! He trained us how to train our dog all with positive reinforcement. He is super responsive and loves what he does making for a program that is very much recommened by our family.

We highly recommend Mike. We got our puppy from a pet store and honestly had no idea what do with her once we got home! We called Mike after 1 week and he came to our house for a free evaluation. He said she was too young at the time for boarding, but he gave us enough training advice to get help us until she was ready to board. After 3 weeks she was very well trained. Mike is the absolute best dog trainer. We have a boxer puppy and before we got him we were warned that boxers have tons of energy. I immediately started calling dog trainers and after speaking with Mike on the phone for 10 minutes I knew I had to hire him and I’m so happy I did. Mike at Perfect Pup was so knowledgeable and Professional. He trained our 150lb female mastiff who is now our toddlers best friend. She does not jump or knock him over when they play and allows him to lay next to her or on her when she is on place command. She is normally walked off-leash down busy roads and populated areas and always follows her commands, once and a while we have to put her on a leash (specific store and town rules) and she never drags or pulls, including seeing other animals. Mike and his team are highly recommended!

Mike is awesome! We started using him the day we brought our puppy home. He taught us what we needed to know to survive the first few weeks along with basic training skills and techniques. Mike is amazing!!! Have a Pomeranian and had previous dog trainers unsuccessful in training my dog. Called Mike and did the board and train 3 week program and dog came back fully trained - potty trained and obedience training. Couldn’t be happier with Mike! We got our lab retriever at 3 months old and hired Mike within a couple of weeks. Wonderful trainer. We had had our dog trained previously and just couldn’t get it to stick (no fault to our previous trainer - we were lazy haha). But after being referred to Mike and his team our dog is very well behaved. We had sooo much trouble potty training her and after 3 weeks with Mike she is FINALLY trained! Barely any accidents once we got her back. I highly recommend Mike to anyone in need of training. Excellent service. And I love that we can always reach out with any questions. I highly recommend using The Perfect Pup. I used Mike for my Bullmastiff puppy. He was a pleasure to deal with. She came back trained 3 weeks later, house broken and understanding basic commands. Mike taught everyone in my house how to work with her in order to maintain the learned obedience. He has since followed up on separate occasions to see if there are any issues and has stopped by to fine tune a few things. He was so good my neighbor used him and my brother in law is going to use him.

Mike and his team were amazing in helping us train our puppy. We even met with Mike before we got our puppy to go over training schedule and what the first few days with a 9 week old dog would look like. Each training session was well spent and well organized. Our dog is almost 6 months old ,house broken and so well behaved. He was house broken within a few weeks and sleeping through the night in the crate in days. Mike is always available to answer questions and concerns and he really teaches you as the owner to be the trainer. For example, we asked for help regarding the dog in the car and with his advice we were able to take a 5-6 hour car ride with no issue. This was money well spent to have a now 6 month old puppy well behaved and trained! Leash based training is something my husband would never have thought to do and we are amazed at how well it worked. Our pup does not need treats to behave well. We now have a puppy who walks calmly side by side with us on the leash and knows the boundaries and perimeters of our property. We are so glad we used Mike and the Perfect Pup!

This was an all around wonderful experience for our dog and our family. Mike met with me, just prior to bringing home our golden retriever, Sadie, to go over housebreaking tips so that we were ready for our puppy when she arrived. We started with Mike when Sadie was 8 weeks old. Sadie was trained on housebreaking, obedience and walking (both on and off the leash!) in just 8 weeks. Sadie is 4 months old now and is already ready for walking off the leash. She is trained with basic commands like sit, stay, heel, come, down, and place! We receive many, many compliments on her behavior, obedience, and walking. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend Mike and Walt! They were great with us and our dog... and what was most wonderful about this 8 week program was that at each session they not only modeled thebehavior/command, but we had a lot of hands on training with them right there with us! Really helped with training my Australian Shepherd puppy. Mike was great explaining the reason why he trains dogs a certain way so you can understand and keep up the training with your dog. My dog has become much more obedient since finishing training and behaves so well for a young puppy!

Wow we didnt even think it was possible to train a 2 month old this well. Luna black dog on the right will sit and stay for as long as we want until we say her name. Comes in handy when you are doing the dishes or random errands in house. So worth the money, after chewed shies glasses rugs etc. an untrained puppy will cost way more than their fee. So worth the money.

We did the 8 week training program with Mike and I can’t even begin to describe the change we’ve seen in our 4 year old boxer mix, Bean. My sister just had a baby and Mike taught our dog to sit, stay, come, and stay on place. We love to have company, and now when company arrives or when the baby comes over my dog stays on place for two hours plus if we want her to. His patience, skills, flexibility, and warm personality made this training a huge success! He is one of a kind and I would recommend him over and over again! I thought at 4 years old my dog wasn’t trainable and boy did he prove me wrong! Highly recommend!

As first time dog owners - of a 4 month old American Staffie - Mike led us through a great 8 week program that is well thought out, builds as it goes along and got my wife and I feeling confident about working with our door. It’s also great that he showed us how to anticipate certain behaviors of our dog and nip them before they even started.

Mike is the best! Works around your schedule. He was great with our dog. In a matter of weeks our dog could heal, sit, come, stay, go to place, and down. We can now walk our dog without a leash! We have used 3 trainers in the past with different dogs and he is the first trainer I would recommend to anyone.

We got a new puppy for Christmas. We were first time dog owners so I decided to get a trainer. We hired Perfect Pup and we delighted we did. Mike from Perfect pup was great. He came in set is up with potty training and Crate training. From there he taught us how to understand how a dog thinks and reasons and worked with us with a wide range of behavioral subjects with our puppy. (8) weeks later we truly did have a perfect pup.- The puppy is 100% house broken.- 100% crate trained ( sleeps 930pm to 7 am ).- our Puppy walks with control “heals”, pivots with me while walking, lays down and sits on command, we even trained our pup to sit at an open door and run out until commanded to. He helped us develop our pup into social and good mannered dog.- at one point our puppy started to get a bit aggressive and snappy. Mike worked with us and turned that “bad “ behavior around in a week. I could not believe how effective his training methods were.If you have a new dog, or are thinking of becoming a dog owner I highly suggest you call Perfect Pup!!!

Mike has helped me and my family a tremendous amount my older American pit bull was a lot to handle for us not only did mike take her home for a few weeks of training but he returned my dog back and she is more calmer, house broken!! Mike is great. Our 5 month old goldendoodle pup recently completed the 3 week basic obedience sleep-away camp and I was blown away by the results. Mike really went above and beyond to help my wife and I to start feeling back in control of our home. After rescuing a new puppy we quickly realized that we were in over our heads with her. Mike not only helped us to feel more comfortable with handling her but really bonded with our puppy during the training. She loves him. He was even nice enough to make a custom package for us where he took her to his home for a week to really get some time in with her. He continued to do everything possible even as our time with him was ending by extending it to make sure that he wasnt just leaving us without us being comfortable with the puppy. Not only is he great at what he does but he also cares about both the dogs he is working with and their owners.

We adopted a one and a half year old pit bull. He was very strong and we weren’t sure about his past. We wanted to make sure other people wouldn’t be afraid of him when we went on walks or to parks. Mike did an amazing job helping us train him. Our dog is amazing on walks, especially when he sees squirrels or other dogs that he goes nuts over. The best part is that you do the training and Mike just shows you and directs you on what to do so you can continuously train your dog even after your lessons are over. I would definitely recommend!

I cant say enough about the quality of services from Mike and the The Perfect Pup. My son and I got NIles, a small mixed breed rescue in March. He was 6 months when we brought him home. He was a gentle dog yet there were issues. He was destructive and very difficult to manage. He destroyed shoes, clothing, toys, pillows, anything he could get his hands on. He was sweet but so wild and it was highly concerning as you couldnt leave the room without him or he would rip up something. This summer he began going to the bathroom in the house as well. I spoke with several trainers and decided to go with Mike. His understanding of my dogs breed, issues and straight forward way he would address gave me confidence to turn over Niles for 3 weeks. When my dog returned we couldnt believe he was the same dog! He was obedient and calm. Both my 8 year old son and I were able to manage him. While still playful, his destructive ways have ended. He is fully housebroken and crate trained. He follows commands through slight leash direction. I dont know if we wouldve been able to manage Niles without MIkes training and teaching us how to work with him in an effective way. Niles is also a happier dog and eager to meet expectations. Other friends have used him and had the same experience. Our dog has been home for 6 weeks and with consistency on our end (very easy to do!) he is still on point. I highly recommend Mike for any training needs.

Mike and his team are the best investment you could possibly make for your dog! Our puppy, Pretzel, was struggling with basic obedience and housebreaking. We tried watching YouTube videos, etc. to no avail. Everything we tried was treat based, which counteracts trying to house break a puppy! Mike’s methods are treat free- something we did not think possible. As a result of Pretzel’s participation in Mike’s on boarding program, he returned a different dog: he walks at heel, sits, goes down, stays, comes to his name, and stays on place. He is crate trained and housebroken- somethings we struggled massively with. The team Mike arrives with is outstanding and so very patient. Because Pretzel is part mini-poodle, he is VERY smart and will create ways to get out of what he should be doing. Mike and Walt have helped to train Pretzel so that we can outsmart him, not the other way around. For example, Pretzel 100% knows how to walk at heel, but tried to pretend he was hurt and would start to cry when we tried to walk him the way we were trained on our own. Walt arrived the next day and showed us how to work around it- basically Pretzel was pretending to be hurt so that we would stop walking because he didn’t feel like it- like I said, smart! But again, with Walt’s patience and expertise, he showed us how to circumvent the obstacles our savvy little pup was trying to place in our way. We have even boarded with Mike and his wife, which is wonderful because while there, Mike continues to work on the key skills Pretzel was taught and recalibrate anything that he is trying to get lax on. Do not think twice about booking Mike and Walt to train you dog. It was the best thing we have done and has allowed us to enjoy our puppy so much more!

Mike and his team helped my 6 year old dog Wiz who I inherited when my mom passed away suddenly and was thrown into our crazy family with a newborn and French bulldog and taken away from his pack of two other dogs. We welcomed a mini bulldog into our family at Christmas time. Cute but very stubborn! Made accident all over the house and crate. When we came home with our two mini golden doodles we anticipated complete joy, but it was anything but joy. It was a nightmare! We had done our research and were warned that you should never adopt two dogs at once. Yeah well, we didn’t listen. We figured between my husband and I we could do it! After all, all we wanted to do was make our two kids happy that they each had their own dog. Ha! For all of you parents out there reading this; sibling rivalry will never die, so don’t bother! …..get one dog! Lol We were at our wits end and literally considered giving the dogs away Then, enters Mike from Perfect Pup.We received Mike’s number through friends of ours who said don’t even bother researching any other trainers. Mike is the way to go and we would not be disappointed. We first tried in-home training where we received lessons from Mike and WE WERE TRAINED to train the puppies. Well, his lessons were excellent and very thorough and we gave it the old college try, But, as all of the websites warned us; it was impossible trying to train two dogs at once. We were well out of our league.Mike told us that he offers a stay away program where the dogs live with him and his wife for a couple of weeks, and the pups don’t come back until they are “complete“. Hmmm. Complete. Yeah. Ok. He doesn’t live with our dogs… He has no clue what he’s getting himself into, we thought. LolWhen our puppies returned to us, had it not been for their physical appearances we would have never known they were our dogs! They sat, stayed, placed, healed, worked side-by-side(!?!?) and the best part of all… They were housebroken! WHO ARE THESE DOGS!?!? It was such a relief to know that we would not have to break our children’s hearts by telling them that mommy and daddy could not keep the puppies.If you are reading this review, do yourself a favor and just hire him. Save yourself the trouble of interviewing other trainers. Just like we were not disappointed, neither will you be. As an added bonus, Mike continues to do in-house training with us for all of the things that need to be tweaked. He stands by his work, his word, and his reputation. Make the call!

We have a Bull Terrier, which is a notorious stubborn breed, and upon return of our Trout, after Perfect Pups board and train program, there was a remarkable, wonderful difference. Mike, and Trouts trainer, Walter are seasoned caring and compassionate dog trainers. Trout understood his commands, he was much calmer, and he was very well behaved. He still has a stubborn streak, but we are usually able to work through it. The after training at home sessions are very helpful as well. We were concerned while he was away, that he wouldnt be loved on by whoever he was staying with, but his trainer, Walter, was able to bond with him and showed us that not only was he trained well, but, he was cared for as the trainers own dogs, which was a comfort. I will be recommending The Perfect Pup to anyone who needs a qualified trainer for their dog.

My husband and I were in dire straits.We had reached the end of our ropes.Beside ourselves with the destruction that our Beagle-boxer mix Charlie had imparted onto our home, childrens toys, books, back yard hole digging, clothing, shoes, furniture, etc., we had a heavy decision to make.Either get rid of him, or keep him.We drew a line in the sand and called the perfect pup. 8 weeks and 8 lessons later our 1 year old dog Charlie is entirely different. He could sit, stay, lay down, come upon command, heel, walk without tearing my arm out of the socket, house broken (no more potty accidents) and stopped his destruction. He could even walk with me off leash while I had my 2 girls (3 and 1.5 years old) with me.Mike taught my husband and I how to communicate and correct our dog appropriately to get the best out of Charlie.We are entirely grateful to Mike and the perfect pup for all hes done for us.

We did the four week training program and my dog came back 1000x better. His obedience is amazing! We still have bad days here and there, but whenever that happens I just call Mike and we set up a quick lesson right away. He’s patient with me and my dog and super helpful. I would def recommend.

We got Sammy (Our Siberian Husky) when he was 2 months old and we quickly learned that we would need a dog trainer. We found Mike and we were sold! Not only does he come to you but he works with your schedule and that is something that was very important to us. Mike was great not only did he train Sammy he trained us as well. (We probable needed it more than Sammy…lol) He explained everything to us to us and made sure we understood why we were doing it that way. If there was a lesson that wasn’t sticking with Sammy he would make sure he figured out a way to make to make it stick. He always found time to check in during the week to see how Sammy was doing with the lessons we had learned before. We highly recommend working with Mike and were glad we did!

Our 1 year old Boston terrier Pyro became very aggressive out of no where , and we reached out to mike , he took him for a 3 week training program in his home , as hard as it was letting our boy leave for some time , mike was so great with keeping in touch sending us pictures and telling us every detailed about our pyro. Pyro came back this past week & we cannot even phantom how much of a changed dog he is already . Mike took his time and effort to make us feel safe in our home with our dog , we look forward to continuing this journey with mike for further lessons , his knowledge on training dogs is incredible , we are so beyond blessed we found mike ! I was extremely satisfied with how my puppy came back to me after 3 weeks of training with Michael. I saw such an improvement with the training I was taught on how to give commands to my little girl. Mike took our dog Louie for 3 weeks for training and he came back so well behaved and trained. Louie listens to all of his commands now. We’re finally able to take Louie on walks and bring him around other people without having to worry how he would react. Highly highly recommend!

I recently completed the eight week training program with my mini Bernedoodle, Brodie. Brodie was 51/2 months when we started.Mike and Walt were extremely knowledgeable and helpful in demonstrating the various obedience techniques. I found their philosophy and follow through to be forthcoming. We had the pleasure of working with both Mike and Walt. Very patient gentleman with us and the pups. Knowledgeable and forth coming with what is needed and their expectations of the humans. Only failures here would be because of human inconsistencies. 😀 Program is not treat reward based, however, praise and corrections are equally important. Totally recommend this company!

Mike did amazing work with our one-year old standard poodle, Jake. He came home a totally different dog and now we can enjoy him much more.

The program really worked! Our new puppy quickly learned commands including sit, stay, down, place and come. It is now much easier to take her on walks and get her to cooperate with us around the house. You need to put in the work and practice what you’re taught, but it’s worth it!

Hi there my husband and I have a German Shepard puppy he’s over 60 pounds and he’s 6 months old he’s always been strong and very dominating towards me we knew training was definitely for him so I googled and read reviews and came across the perfect pup so I called and Mike and Walter called me back best call ever they are absolutely the best they are kind very responsible extremely knowledgeable and love what they do they treat your dog like family so we decided to put our puppy Scout in training he went to go live with mike and his family for 3 weeks and came home a very trained loving boy now during the three weeks mike sent pictures and kept us up on Scouts learning so if your looking for great trainers look no further call the perfect pet my scout loves them they come weekly to do lessons and are always there to answer any questions you may have were blessed to have met Mike and Walter

I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Perfect Pup and Mike. As inexperienced, first-time dog owners with young children, we had no idea what we were getting into. Mike came over for a consultation and realized our puppy, Yukon, had a very dominant personality, and we were actually afraid of him. He suggested having our puppy board with him for 3 weeks to start the training process. When Yukon returned to us, he was beautifully trained! Mike continued to meet with us regularly, and “trained” us as well, which has helped tremendously. He still checks in with texts and phone calls, and is always available for questions. Yukon is now the “perfect pup” we always hoped for, and we are enjoying him so much. We are now confident when handling him (even our kids are, too). Friends and family comment on how sweet and well-behaved he is, and how the training has done so much for him. I truly feel that if you make the commitment to own a dog, especially a large bred like we have, then you have a responsibility to be able to handle the animal. The Perfect Pup gave us the ability to do so. I would give six stars if I could. Worth Every Penny!

Mike is a fantastic trainer! It was well worth the cost to have private training sessions AT MY HOUSE! My puppy was very young when we began, and now hes 6 months old and just got his certificate. Monty and I have really learned a lot, and Mike said that I can always call with questions and he will get back to me. My puppy learned sit, stay, heel, down, place, come, and we even worked on off leash outside!The last lesson today was a review of everything and polishing up some of the commands with signs since the puppy is a little older now.I HIGHLY recommend The Perfect Pup. We are even going to have some additional sessions in March so my husband can learn the commands in order to be consistent with the puppy and I want Mike to teach Monty how to do some fancy tricks!!!

My family and I cannot thank Perfect Pup enough. We have been to 3 different trainers before Perfect Pup (with little to no success), and not one trainer produced the results Perfect Pup did. We just finished a basic training program with Mike, and my dog is obedient as ever! Even without a leash! We can literally walk our dog down the street, without a leash, and he will listen to our every command. Mike not only trained our dog, but took the time to explain the rationale behind every step along the way. Understanding the reasoning behind every action made it that much easier for my family and I to continue to reinforce the training after our lessons. Mike felt so genuine to us, not just in it for a check like everyone else we went to. The part I loved the most was there were no harsh or painful tactics to get our dog to be obedient! Mike is the best around. We are not first time dog owners, but Griff is our first big dog (50lbs anyway). We knew the basics but were lost on how to correct and prevent behaviors (jumping, pulling, counter surfing, and others). We worked with other trainers, but found their methods less than effective. We also gave up and let Griff sleep in bed which was beyond disruptive. We sent Griff to puppy boot camp and he came back happy, better trained, and sleeping beautifully all night in the crate. He no longer jumps on people or kids, he is walking without pulling us off our feet, and has the basics mastered. Mike is awesome about reinforcing everything with us and we are now on the program and know that as we continue to work with Griff he will continue to improve. We are beyond thrilled and only wish we did this sooner!

Our dogs have learned so much. Could not be happier. Would highly recommend
