First, Ken is one of the nicest people youll ever meet. And our new pup loved her time with him. He also made me feel confident with what I was learning and applying. We just finished 4 sessions, and I will be adding more after I practice and master what Ive learned so far. I am also looking forward to joining the group dog walking. We have a small pooch (terrier mix?), currently 5 months old. She wants to please and has a lovely disposition so I wanted to be sure to give her proper training, and Ken is helping me to do that. My grandkids and I had a fun time visiting the farm and the donkeys. Ken even gave my little guys a ride on his ATV. I have nothing but praise for Etlon Training.

Ken is a great trainer that we highly recommend! He is very knowledgeable, patient and kind. Our dog (1yr old rescue) loved her sessions with him. The at-home visits were a great way for our dog (and us) to learn the initial training techniques in a comfortable, familiar setting. He even met us at Lowes for socialization and more training practice, as well as at the town dog park per our request. We couldnt be happier with our dogs progress from shy and barking around new people, to confident and well behaved!

Ken is a fantastic balanced trainer. My dog Buddy really enjoyed working with him and having the opportunity to meet his dogs and donkeys! Ken’s sessions are reasonably priced and very convenient with home visits being the main format. A great way for pups and parents to learn in their own environment! The last session was at a Lowes, which is a fantastic suggestion for working a dog in public and socialization in winter months and beyond.

Ken is amazing! He has been so flexible with our inconsistent schedule and he is so knowledgeable. We recently rescued a two year old mini golden doodle and we wanted to help her adjust to her new home since she can be a flight risk with her anxiety, skittish while meeting new people (especially males), and was having trouble learning basic commands. Ken has been so patient with both of our pups and has helped her tremendously. She even learned how to sit, which oddly was a huge milestone for her (now it’s her go to move!). We have enjoyed working with Ken and learning from his expertise. He has provided us with so many tips and tricks to help both of our dogs with daily routines, commands, etc. We would highly recommend him!

Ken was so awesome with our new puppy Dax. He is very knowledgeable, informative, and patient. He has a true understanding of a dogs different types of behaviors. We would highly recommend him and his training methods!

Ken was so helpful when training our puppy. Ken worked with us for 6 weeks, starting when she was 12 weeks old. He helped us introduce her to our daughter’s dog, whom he was also training and can be a bit reactive. We met at our home, a walking trail in town, his home, and Lowe’s. He is so patient and explains how and why dogs do things and how we, as owners, can be proactive in training our dog to behave the way we want them to behave. I highly recommend Ken and Elton Dog Training!

We adopted our Dasie this past fall and needed some structured training. Ken was wonderful. He was patient with our scheduling needs and so knowledgeable. He taught us how to teach Dasie and she responded quickly. We are grateful for his input and recommend him highly.

I can’t say enough about how good the trining is! Hudson was a stray brought into a rescue and within a few lessons, he was well in his way to being a well-behaved dog. I’ve used other trainers after I moved out of the area and I regret not driving the extra few miles to use Ken again. HIGHLY recommend!

We contacted Ken to help with the training of our 6 month old puppy. Ken was quick to respond and I was happy he would come to our house. He listened to our needs and concerns and we worked on basic obedience such as sit, stay and walking on a leash. In addition, he focused on how to safely introduce to other dogs and people outside the home. We really liked Ken’s calm and focused approach to training and highly recommend him if you are in need of a quality dog trainer.

Ken is a really patient guy. Our little guy Bruno really liked him. He trained my wife and myself actually, as this was our first puppy in quite some time. Ken has helped us tremendously with our mini Aussie shepherd. He not only trained our dog but us as well. He taught us so much about the breed. We got our puppy at 8 weeks old and Ken helped us numerous times. He is extremely patient and very professional, friendly, kind and courteous. Ken is a great trainer. He clearly loves dogs, and it shows. He is extremely patient, kind and focused on achieving results. He provides concise guidance to the owner on how to work with your dog to reinforce good habits and deter bad. Tried a few different people before finding Ken, and we are so glad we did.

Ken has helped me with my English red lab.He is patient his experience shows through in many ways.He stays involved with the dog after he has left my home making sure the training is going smoothly. My lab 💓 loves him maybe because he enjoys his work. I would highly recommend Ken.

We are very glad we hired Ken to help us with our puppy. Ken is a complete pro and a dog whisperer. We hired Ken for four sessions with our puppy which ranged from leash training, the proper way of interacting with other dogs, working on drop it/leave it commands, and many others.Our dog enjoyed every session with Ken as did we. Ken asked us what issues we wanted to address and had an answer for every question I asked (believe me, I asked a lot of questions). You can tell he loves what he does.Recently, I had a question about bringing our dog to a larger get together with multiple other dogs. I was surprised when he called me back right away to get the details of the gathering and also told me if I had any more questions at the gathering to give him a call. I was surprised and happy for his level of care.We miss our training sessions and we may do a couple more very specific, challenging lessons in the next month or two but a lot of that is simply because how much fun not only we had but, our puppy had with Ken!I cannot recommend Elton DogTraining Academy and (Professor) Ken enough!

Ken is a great trainer. Extremely patient (with dogs and kids alike) and very practical with the commands and approach he takes. Pricing was fair and schedule was flexible. Highly recommend if you have a new dog and need help getting your training off on the right foot.

Elton dog training helped me with my two English labs on obedience, behavior with other dogs and general manners & boundaries. Ken is an excellent, kind and patient trainer. Very flexible and practical with his methods. He came to the house to work on walking my dogs through different triggers both in our neighborhood and in town during busy weekend activities. I highly recommend his services.

If I could give more stars I would! Ken is truly amazing with my 3 boys (all under 2). He is patient, takes his time with them and teaches you all the tools that you need to continue working with them. Ken has been available at all different times by phone and even has offered to come to me when he thought I may need him there. He genuinely cares about the dogs and them succeeding. I would and have recommended him to everyone!

Ken has been very helpful with our shelter dogs. Giving us greater understanding of some dogs who seemed impossible to break though. Offering us resources and training techniques which ultimately ended in successful adoptions. We are very grateful for Ken and his knowledge of dog behavior.

Ken was wonderful! He didnt just teach us how to give and use commands, he taught us how to gain the trust of our rescued dog. Taking time and over sessions came into our home, went for walks and integrating our anxious dog into public places. Highly recommend this place!!

A year after our 15 year old rescue lab passed, my girls and I decided in time to get another lab..enter Roo ... the most energetic and high spirited puppy. We spent some time grass surfing with him along with other difficult to manage behaviors. Luckily, we got hooked up with Ken..who my girls refer to as Roos dog whisperer! His training techniques were so humane and easily implemented. What was once a very unmanageable situation quickly changed as Ken engaged all of us in Roos training. After just a few sessions our home situation improved greatly as we werent being tackled when we walked through the door... or dragged through the neighborhood..along with the other not so endearing behaviors Roo exhibited. Ken organized group dog walks..... accompanied us to Lowes and other sites and implemented so many unique techniques that greatly helped Roo and us reallly enjoy our family life together. Ken is a gifted trainer.. and comes highly recommended by the Flynn girls 🐾🐾🐾🐾

I hired Ken to come and helpMe with a few problems that I was having with one of my dogs. I had positive results from the very first session. Ken listened to my concerns and structured training sessions to deal specifically with those issues. It always takes work and consistency from the owner and by using his methods I have seen lasting positive results.

Darla was a 9 month old resume pit bull terrier. I never had this breed or a puppy. Ken taught me how to teach her. He is a very patient encouraging teacher for us as well as to our rambunctious Darla. You will be on the right track using Ken as your trainer.

Ken was amazing! Not only was he great with our dogs but he was patient with us humans ;) We have three young pitties. I’ve used chain store training classes in the past but this was so much better! I feel like as a family we got so much more out of it. The pups were less distracted in their own environment, we were able to ask whatever questions and it was much less stressful. Ken gave us easy to use training tips and commands that we continue with now. Highly recommend!!

Ken at Elton Dog Training was recommended to us by a friend. We were in need of help with one of our rescues that is very reactive and has caused significant injury to two of our other dogs. I felt like we were at a point we might have to consider returning her to the rescue, and that was not what we wanted to do. Ken came to our house and trained us how to work with her. His demeanor is very calm and his approach is positive. Ken offers many helpful training techniques and products to make training easier. After just his second visit, we could already see our girl becoming more comfortable. We hired Ken to help us mainly with Amber, but he worked with all four of our dogs. It has made such a huge difference in our house! I am forever grateful to Elton Dog Training for helping us understand Amber and improve the way our dogs interact.
