We love The Pet Camp. Our dog, Lazer, has been going there for almost a decade and loves it. We now take Lazer (13) and our new pup Kaza (1) and they both are so happy when we pull up.They are kind, efficient and we trust them with our furry family members. 100% recommend.

The lady who handles financials and the driver are good people running the business The owner was very condescending in the end. You shouldn’t speak to customers as if they are five year old children. I don’t appreciate that. Unfortunately this is the end of the road here.

My dogs have been coming here for years and love it! They literally cry with excitement when they see the minivan pull up to pick them up. I definitely recommend adding on a bath to your stay as all they do all day is play outside and run around. I cant speak to anyone elses experience, but ours has been nothing but positive!

My dogs love this place. They will pick up and drop off your dogs in NYC but I love it so much and dont live in the city Ill drive an hour and a half to go there. Its old school. A big farm. Dogs sleep in heated barn. Some of the negative reviews surround an incident that made the TV news where two dogs escaped. A terrible incident but please dont pretend that Chuck and his crew dont care about the dogs. They have been doing this for years. One of my dogs had a medical issue and Chuck called me and drove him out of his way 45 minutes to a vet since Im not nearby.

This place was so great and friendly. They took good care of our big mushy dog. He was exhausted for 2 days after coming home from pet camp. The staff was just so friendly and make you feel at ease about leaving your dog there. I definitely suggest the bath at the end because they are running around outside all day with other friends. The price is great as well.

I have brought my 2 year old Shepard/Terrier mix to the Pet Camp twice when on vacation and she just LOVES IT! The grounds that she gets to run and play in are just beautiful! There is always an attendant with the dogs which puts me at ease. I especially love that my high-energy pup gets to be a dog when she is there! Yes, she came home once (when I opted not to have her bathed) damp and muddy, but she was playing in a pond all week, of course she did! Now I have her bathed first! Shell be spending another week there this coming Spring and I know I can go on vacation confident that she is safe, happy and having a ton of fun! If you want your dog pampered and coddled then this is not the place for you. If you want your dog to run, play, socialize, exercise and just be a dog then make your reservation now! YOU and your dog will love it!

The Pet Camp is the perfect, country/farm setting to send your dog(s.) Ive read reviews that complain about picking up dirty dogs, well, to me, a dirty dog had fun, and didnt miss me! The dogs have a huge fenced in area to be free and then, they spend their nights, each in a roomy stall in the barn. They are fed and kept comfortable. My dog loves it there. It gives me freedom to know they are safe, and having fun. The staff tires them out, and keeps them well fed.

We have been boarding our large-breed dog here for several years. A week before our first visit, our dog had emergency surgery on her abdomen. We thought we would have to cancel our vacation but the Pet Camp guys were great. They watched her closely, walked her on a leash and took her to the vet to get her stitches removed. We have been loyal customers ever since and our pup absolutely loves her time at “camp.” I agree with the other reviewers in that our dog is FILTHY at the end of her stays but that is because she is rolling around in mud, swimming in the lake and playing in the fields. In other words, doggy-heaven. We have had no problems in asking for special treatment; we always supply her own food and she is on daily medication. I feel great knowing that I can take long trips and know that our dog is in great hands

No idea what precious customers are saying, but our Jack Russell spent almost 40 days this summer at the Pet Camp, and he had a blast! The dogs spend all their time outside, running, swimming, playing etc. Chuck and his crew are amazing, they even sent us pictures and text messages how our puppy is doing. If you are on a lookout for someone to take good care of your furry child, look no further - The Pet Camp is The Place!!

I have been sending my dogs here for years. They are great with the dogs and my pets always come home happy and healthy. The space for them to sleep is ample for two 60 lbs dogs to share and the prices are very reasonable. The office hours to book a reservation are a little short, only 9 AM to noon, but you can drop off and pick up 8 AM to 5 PM. They do feed your pets your food and any meds they may need, at an up charge.

We have boarded our 2 dogs here several times. They always seem to come home tired(which I love!). I have picked up from at least 3 different people, who all seem to be very in tune with my dogs, since they all comment that one dog is dependent on the other(very true, especially when they arent either us).If you dont want your dog to come home dirty, splurge on a bath! They warn you they get dirty, and they do. Makes me glad to know they get to spend plenty of time running around outside to get that way!

I have been sending my dogs to the Pet Camp for almost 20 years. I am shocked anyone would ever give them a bad review. All dogs are well loved and cared for -- it is doggy camp! They always give my jack russle a bath before she comes home but I can always smell the farm on her. Thats how I know she has had a great time. But if you are a high maintenance dog owner, you should find another place. The Pet camp is about taking care of the dogs, not the owners.

I’ve worked in the vet industry for the past 12 years and never have I ever come across a business that is made for boarding dogs lose two of their boarders while the owners entrusted them while on vacation which is what recently happened to my friend. Imagine being on vacation to have to receive a call that your pets are gone for the past establishment to say to those owners “ you didn’t tell us they were runners?!!!!!???” What?! And now I’m hearing they are not even helping in the search ? They should be doing everything in their power to help find these dogs who are loose upstate in the wild. Absolutely disgraceful. Not to mention the many negative reviews about breed discrimination, kennel cough outbreaks, multiple injuries, and dehydrated dogs, leaving dogs filthy and out in the rain. Smh. Shame on you Pet Camp. Make it right. Find these dogs and fix your operations or close.

BEWARE OF BRINGING YOUR DOGS HERE. My two friends decided to bring their two dogs here and somehow got loose and are now searching for them without the help of the establishment even though this is all their fault and allegedly the week before someone else had lost their dog because of them as well. ALSO if you take a look at all the previous reviews here on Google and on Yelp you’ll see there’s numerous complaints of owners picking up their dogs to discover wounds or that they’ve fallen dehydrated/underfed and then have to shell out hundreds of dollars at the vet just because of their negligence. To top it all off the owner is said to be rude and unprofessional. Is this really who you want to give your money to but more importantly is this really who you want to leave your dog with?

Completely dissatisfied with this business Recently had my yellow lab there for a week. We dropped him off in perfect health. Picked him up with a horrible leg injury and all the blood vessels in his eyes popped as well as severe kennel cough. Received several stories (lies) of how dog was injured. Incurred a significant vet bill to witch the place assumed no responsibility for. The owner Chuck and his manager Mark were extremely rude on the phone even hanging up on me. They refused to assume any responsibility for the dogs injuries and showed no compassion towards the dog. The owner just kept repeating “ what did I do to your dog” Chuck was also rude and confrontational to my veterinarian when the vet called to confirm my dogs injuries.

The Pet Center failed to supervise 2 dogs that ran away from their facility. Then tried to blame the owner that they were not told they were runners. The Pet Camp obviously does not have enough dog knowledge for anyone to leave their pets in the care of this facility. I would not recommend anyone use The Pet Camp.

Picked up 10 month old puppy and owner asked if the dog was old,…she could barely move from crate. (Was told she would be in her own horse stall) Back leg was hurt, couldn’t put weight on it. Paperwork would have made it clear her age. Lost 3 lbs in 5 days. Couldn’t answer if she ate food we supplied ???? Brought her to emergency care for check up immediately following. Owner implied she was a “city” dog not accustomed to exercise…but also shared she was crated 50% of time because she was old and couldn’t keep up. She is not old or a city dog-- city dogs also deserve and need to be attended to. Never got a call to inform us she couldn’t walk, or wasn’t eating- or that she was sick.

We have had two dog stay at the Pet Camp on a regular basis since 2006. Our dogs absolutely love it there. I have used this place 4 times in the past five years. My Mom & sister have also left their dogs here on a few occasions. Each time was for 8 days. Chuck and Teri are very helpful and answer calls/emails promptly. My dog (and my Moms & sisters dog) love it here. When they arrive they are very excited. They jump out of the car to run and play with the other dogs. Yes its true my dog stinks and is dirty, but thats because he has acres of land to run/play and a lake to swim in.The handlers show genuine concern and give feedback on how the dogs did there. My dog is overweight and gets short of breath and my sisters dog has hip problems (we didnt tell them this or ask them for special treatment) but they were attentive and picked up on this and gave extra care to them by keeping their activities limited at times. My dog has always been returned to me happy and healthy. I will continue to use The Pet Camp, as will my family members.
