I moved out of the Bushwick/Ridgewood area and came back after a few years because I much preferred the staff to other vets I tried, closer to me in central Brooklyn. You can tell they care about your pet and I appreciated being able to come back into the exam room with my dog (which I found out some vets do not allow!) The prices for annual care are SO reasonable and the quality of care is outstanding. I was paying 3x higher prices in central Brooklyn only to be treated rudely and not be confident my pet was being treated appropriately. Everyone from the vets, techs, and admin staff are kind, thorough, attentive, and highly professional.

I use to come to this vet years ago with my cats Nutty and TumTum. Dr.C and Mauricio were my go to doctor and tech. They were the best. My cat Moon wasn’t feeling like himself and since I was familiar with this animal hospital I said I would give them a try. Dr.Mucera was awesome with my cat. He really showed a lot of compassion. My cat was scared at first but calmed down once Dr. Mucera started handling him. I have two other cats that I will be bringing to them. Also the exam is very affordable. I’m also going to give Leslie a shout-out for being such a Sweet person over the years of me coming there. She knew our TumTum and how much he meant to us.

I had a very bad experience here today. We took in our dog for a necessary surgery. When it came to payment we communicated we’d like to pay in installments (I’d think it’s pretty reasonable to assume most people would not easily be able to come in with $2000 cash to drop). We were very brusquely told that installment plans are not available and immediately got a nasty tone from both women at the front desk, saying we should have expected to pay in full immediately, that WE purposefully were trying to scam THEM and were threatened and told they would keep our dog. We eventually were able to apply for a care plan that’s basically a credit card that you pay off within 6 months. So the outcome was fine. But this option should have initially been presented to us instead of the callous tone and rude behavior. The people at the front desk were so very unprofessional and rude. I was appalled to be on the receiving end of such treatment from medical professionals at such a vulnerable time for our family. We’ve been using this place for 30 years, have always paid our bills and have sent multiple friends here. After the treatment we received today I know we will never go back and I would advise others not to either. There are plenty of other clinics to choose from. These people should be ashamed of themselves. What horrendous behavior.

Great experience! Everyone from the front desk to John (Veterinary/owner) was welcoming and kind. My dog taco had an ear infection and was accommodated with an appointment, on the same day within an hours length of time. I highly recommend, Animal clinic of Queens!

Such great receptionists and doctor. My dog finds it to be a treat when we go. Hes always affectionate to him.

I followed Dr Mucera here from Auburndale because he’s the best cat vet I’ve ever had. My cats are very calm with him as his manner is very soothing. Whatever imperfections the office may have, this vet is gifted and is worth waiting for.

Their experience makes it easy to speak with someone knowledgeable. My dog needs a procedure and she was cooperative despite her anxiety for veterinary visits

I recently brought my cat in for a check-up, and the staff were exceptional! They were incredibly friendly and provided great service. The office was clean, the appointment was efficient with minimal waiting time. The best part was seeing how relaxed and comfortable my cat was in their care. I am absolutely delighted to have such a fantastic local veterinary clinic!

My cat lost her tooth in May in the emergency.I made an appointment for an x-ray for this animal clinic. I had to change my schedule and everything, because the NOT HELPFUL receptionist said, I need to be there before 3 pm to make x-ray, because they close at 7 pm but dont make x-ray after 3 pm.I went there in time, when doctor said he see my cat doesnt have any issue inside of her dental bed! And he is not able to make x-ray, or okay, he will make it for so much money if I wanna throw out my money and he was laughing at me.But they charged the visiting fee.I went back in September to get the vaccine and I asked the doctor again, how is everything with my cats teeth? He said everything is okay, if I want I can make a tooth cleaning but I dont need to. I didnt get a price for this when I asked twice!At the same day an hour later my cat had a hanging tooth again. They were close already and I had to go to the emergency again, where they said, my cats has 3 bad roots next to the lost tooth, and she immediately needs x-ray and tooth cleaning.The doctor is a nice person, but not really care of your little one, and the receptionist is not helpful, little rude and doesnt do her job well.I am pretty sure we wont go back here anymore for to pay but dont get service.

I take my 18 yr. Old Cat Bella there. Ive been to other Vets before, but there a Class above the rest in Ridgewood or Glendale. The Staff & Vet are Simply the Best!!

Love bringing my dog here, the Doctors are genuine and knowledgeable. Their service is quick and efficient.

I called this clinic today in desperate need of help for my dog. He was in a lot of pain. The receptionist was so kind and helpful over the phone. I was able to get a same day appointment. When we arrived, the office was clean and the staff was so kind. The wait time wasn’t very long and both the doctor and assistant were so good with my pup. They were very thorough when explaining his diagnosis and the price for his treatment was very affordable. I appreciate the professionalism and hospitality that I was shown today. I will be bringing my dogs here from now on.

If I could leave zero stars, I would.The staff is extremely rude, especially the veterinarian Mucera, who I even doubt is a real vet (due to my dogs clinical history being extremely incomplete and poorly done to the point that the insurance did not accept it because they thought it was false).Both my family and the insurance company tried to contact this person without success for so long to the point that my mom had to go to the place where the receptionists even threatened to take her out by force when she asked to speak with Mucera who locked himself in his office as soon as he saw her.All of them take a defensive attitude so as not to accept mistakes. My dog ​​was due to a fall, and they didnt even put that on the report, they didnt even add the oozing wart that he has on his back...... the service is not good and its not cheap at all, if you have another option go there without hesitation to avoid headaches.

My cat was sick for a day and I asked if they could squeeze me in for the day after they were very accommodating and the vet was fantastic. Knew exactly what was wrong with my cat and an overall wonderful experience. Its the pet over the price and they seem to understand that very well. Will definitely be going back for any and every check up needed with my cats.

The front desk staff not knowledgeable when it comes to prices, spoke with two different ladies and neither knew the prices! Was put on hold, wasnt told please hold while I find out for you, nothing! I hung up. I want to go where there is professionalism and knowledge of their jobs!

If I could rate this negative stars I would. My dog has been going to this clinic for years and honestly doesn’t seem like he was getting the proper care. It came down to an emergency where my dog needed immediate help and they turned him away and told me go somewhere else and thank to them not wanting to help my dog passed away and I will never forgive this clinic for that. If I had the option to go back I would never go to this place again and DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CLINIC TO ANYONE

I normally dont like to leave reviews but if i could give a zero stars i will, ive been going here since i got my dog he is now 13 years old i called to get the flea pill and they told me they cant find my file because it was filed away since i havent been there in 3 years which is bull, if i havent been there in years how is it they been selling me the pill makes no sense, front staff is completely rude ive been talking to speak to a doctor and apparently he is never there, i called today and they refused to put him on the phone because he is to “busy”. when my husband went in they claimed they dont have a file for my dog that they would have to start a brand new folder and do tests then they told my husband they need to make money!!!! plenty of people came to me complaining that they dont care about they care of the pets never really listened but now i know!!!!

This place likes to take advantage of people. My families dog needed surgery done and was brought in by my mother. At that time she was told to place a deposit down for the procedure which came out to $700. A couple of days later I had gone in to pay the remaining balance.During my visit I was having issues with the card I was using to pay the remaining balance. Rather than being understanding of the issue at hand the nurse, or whatever they are called, strongly expressed how this needs to get paid before her surgery at 12:30pm and there is nothing else that can be done. She kept throwing in my face how the bill needs to get paid off and showed no remorse for the fact that Im trying my best to get my card fixed. I finally resolve the problem I was having with my card, paid, from what she told me, the remaining balance, which came out to $1370.Another family member went today to pick up our dog and was told that he has to pay $120 to finish the bill. I contact them to find out how is this possible when I paid off the bill and was told that MY payment was a deposit. The bill is estimated to be between a $2000 and $2100 roughly and I was told that I was paying off the remaining balance. Again all they do is take advantage people and are just in it for the damn money. They dont care at all about communicating with families that are looking for help with their pets or working with families.

They are wonderful! My dog is hard to handle, and just had an appointment to cut her nails. She has such anxiety when it comes to anyone touching her paws. Dr Thomas and his assistant were absolutely amazing and so patient with her! Would definitely recommend others to bring their pets to them!!

Im a rescuer and I have used this clinic quite a few times, always when trying to help a sick cat in need of immediate attention. They have a few different vets and in my experience the quality of care depends on which vet you see but the vets usually do not introduce themselves to me so I am not sure who is good and who isnt. The reason I keep going here is because they are relatively affordable and always have same day appointments (which are very hard to find). Today I brought in my neighbors dying cat and had an awful and traumatizing experience. This cat was in immense pain and had been suffering for some time and could barely lift his head. He was sleeping peacefully in his carrier and the vet proceeded to abruptly grab him by the scruff and drag him out of the carrier and gruffly examined him on a cold metal table until he cried out in pain, collapsed, and began gasping for air, slipping in and out of consciousness and dying before they could even give him an injection. The vet and vet tech were so rushed and so rough it was horrible and so unnecessary. They could have easily taken their time, gently brought him out of the carrier with his blanket, slowly and calmly examined him, etc. but instead they treated him like a rag doll. If you do need to go here please please be assertive and do not let them treat your pet like this. No one deserves to die with such a lack of care.UPDATE 5/28/21: Just received a letter in the mail stating that I am no longer welcome as a patient signed Dr. Thomas. I called and asked the receptionist if I was being banned because of this review and she said yes. I run a business and can understand being upset about getting bad reviews however the audacity to ban someone from services, especially a rescuer, without even trying to have a conversation speaks volumes to me about this place and their priorities. I am always open to taking down a negative review if the problems are addressed but seems like they have no interest in changing their quality of care or being accountable for it.

I wrote a review on Yelp but I’ve seen so many reviews here about the same thing I wanted to share my experience too. I brought by senior cat and he had hyperthyroidism. Something was still off though and I kept bringing him in, spending an insane amount of money on meds (they never tell you you can get the same meds for like 1/10 the prices at a pharmacy). After talking to some other vets it seemed he had kidney issues but by that point it was too late and I had to put him to sleep. I don’t understand how they were taking regular blood tests and failed to see the effects of his kidney problem or to notice major growths in his body. It’s been months and I cannot get over the guilt that I brought my sweet companion here out of convenience and he suffered for months because they totally missed what was happening to him.Additionally at least 1/2 of their desk staff is so rude and incompetent I honestly don’t understand how they still work there. One tried to deny my cat his meds for the stupidest reason and then hung up on me as I cried and begged her to please give me his meds so he wouldnt be in pain.

The place definitely need to clean up a little more often but the vet and the service was good . Hope my dog gets better with the medicine provided.

My cat has been having digestive issues for 3 weeks. I brought her in after the first week and they gave me medicine that didnt work. I call in and speak to the doctor and she tells me to keep giving her the medicine and come pick up more at the office. When I come pick up the medicine they gave me the wrong medicine, that the doctor didnt even tell me about. I had to call a separate office to speak to the vet which I didnt even get to, I just spoke to a receptionist, she sent the right medicine and I literally had to run back to the vet to get it before they close. Everyone in the office was rude to me because I was there so close to closing, even though they made the mistake. A week goes by and my cat is still sick, I call in and the receptionist tells me to do something completely different with out even looking at my cats chart. I question what she tells me to do and she give me contradicting information about 4 times and is very rude. I still have no idea what to do and am now looking for a new vet. I have spent so much money at this vet to just still have my cat be sick.

Was just here with my very sick dog and joined the line and completed the sign in sheet. After waiting several minutes at the front of the line another person walked in and was immediately greeted. When I tried getting the receptionists’ attention (after waiting patiently for her to be done with the other person) I was given such an attitude as if I had been rude. If you treat people like this how do you treat animals?

The doctors and staff saved my dogs life. They were very quick to diagnose my dog with a rare condition. Shes only 6 years old and was in Grave conditions. My dog is back to her normal self. I cant thank the doctors and staff enough. Thank you Dr. John for putting up with my hysteria during the situation. The staff also was very good to her gave hugs and kept her happy through x-rays and transfusions.

Recently my pet needs daily visits to their clinics on Metropolitan Avenue and Fresh Pond Road. Their front desk staff and medical assistants were all very friendly and helpful. Their support have greatly eased my stress.

I have three blue nose pitbulls and this vet office is the only one who wasn’t scared of them. Very affordable and full of loving care for animals. I love this place… Thank you 🙏🏾 for being so gentle with my babies…

Even though my first experience here involved having to put my cat down, I must compliment the professionalism and sympathy of the Doctor and staff. The doctor was knowledgeable, presented me with all options, answered all my questions thoroughly, was neutral in his explanation , and gave me time to think about everything with no rush or pressure. It was a sad first meeting, but I would trust them to examine my other animals.

We absolutely love Animal clinic of Queens. They have been our vet a very long time and the staff is awesome very accommodating I would absolutely recommend this office.

Best vet in NYC. I go to the 65-12 location and I love it here. Front desk is always pleasant, big waiting area and big rooms for examination. The vets here are great depending on your appointment depends who it will be but if you ask for a specific doc they can schedule you when they are available. I have not had issues with all 4 doctors Ive seen throughout the years. The chart is always updated so anyone at anytime is up to date with your pets info. If you are traveling they take care of everything just schedule with enough time prior to your flight and they will let you know what you need and fill out the paperwork. I have never felt that they are over charging or that trying to get money out of me. Previously tried several vets in the Bronx and they were horrible asking for a ton without even having seen the cat. Smh. Came here from a family referral and have stayed with them since first visit. Great treatment of your pet always. Recommend to everyone who is looking for a reliable vetrenary office.

I do not recommend that you bring your pet here. We had used them for many years, but the level of expertise and professionalism has declined. I took my dog in for what I thought was an ear infection. Turns out that she did have an ear infection, but she also had an aural hematoma. She needed what they called a very routine surgery, which I paid 1055 dollars for. When I picked her up, she was extremely woozy from all the anesthesia. We had to carry her into the car and the house. Her stitches looked poorly sewn. As the wound healed, the two flaps that they cut in her ear pulled apart. My dog was in extreme pain. I took her to see another vet, who did the surgery again for 500 dollars. When I went to pick her up, my dog was wagging her tail and walked out of the office with no problem. She is her happy self and her wound is healing nicely. Its a shame they took twice the price to put my dog in pain for weeks. Skip them and visit Dr. Donovan at Glendale Vet on Myrtle Ave.

I’m so upset with this place and the care my dog has received here. My family and I kept calling to see if they could see my dog as an emergency. We had no car. No way of getting my dog anywhere else as this is the closest place and they kept refusing us. Unfortunately my dog has passed away and I gotta say if this is the last vet on earth I’d still refuse to go back to them. Incompetent and extremely disrespectful

My friend took his dog here for help since it was closest to his home and his boxer was in trouble.Something went wrong and the blood work up never went to the lab or there was some type of confusion.Dog was suffering from grand-mal seizures and a senior fur friend.My friend called numerous times for the blood results never getting them.When he had to put his friend down a few weeks later, I called because I am in the vet field.Due to finances they originally had him as communal cremation but then switched to private. Since I have the knowledge, I asked if they did a clay paw print for him since it was a private cremation and they still had the body.The rep said they do not offer paw prints but he could get one for an additional $100 from the crematory.What a rip off!!! Where I used to work we gave these as a courtesy after suffering a loss.Dont know this place personally but could use a little update in compassion and professionalism from my aspect.The rep I spoke with was cordial over the phone.

Arrived on for early Sunday a.m. appt, very few people in waiting room, also nice that there was very little waiting. The vet and tech were nice and gentle with frightened cat - not too many issues but our one concern was addressed. A quick exam and nice gentle handling of our sweet cat went smoothly. Blood work and nail trimming was done, got meds and a stool collection cup - appt last no more than 30 minutes and blood lab results returned by Monday evening. I do like that the waiting room practiced mask wearing and social distancing. Reasonably priced for visit, tests, meds and manicure.Update: Early Saturday appt. Not busy, great visit, pup happy, doc thorough and helpful

I took my cat with a serious health condition several times over a 6 month period. I had a couple of very good doctors, a couple of just plain good ones and some of not-so-good technicians. Over all, I have few complains about the vets, but with the staff I felt like they were insensitive and at times rude. Several times they told me they would call me back and I ended up calling them before the end of their schedule just to find out that my cat had been ready for hours and they just forgot to call me. One time I asked for a doctor to review an x-ray again and it took them 2 days to do so. I had to argue more than once with the same technician whose manners were insulting. I decided to schedule my visits when that person was not working that day or just go some where else. The staff used to be excellent. I know this because my coworkers used to bring their pets here for years and would come by, but some staff people are different now.

And this is an issue across all medical facilities for the most part. We got to our appointment on time. After waiting 20min, I went to the counter, asking when we would be seen, they said about 25 more min. Puts me about 45min wait. The admin/receptionist chk, I expressed my dissatisfaction, she handled it well. Some grey/purple haired girl with glasses gives attitude.That says it all.

Its been 3 weeks that my fur baby passed away. Ive never experience this kind of pain before. She was my baby, I miss her so much...and now she is gone..she was only 12 years and 7 months (a bit old .. I know.. but she was more than fine). Apparently she had diabetes and one wrong medication took her life in less than a week....theres nothing I can do to bring her back to me.Dont make the same mistake I did but just in case you take your dog or cat here ...make sure you know how to read their blood work and make sue you ask for the results and make sure you ask for a second opinion.If I were you... I will take them to a different veterinarian.

My dog has been seen by every vet at this clinic. Her prescriptions are on file. I decided to order her prescriptions online because they are actually a quarter of the price this clinic charges. I was told by the receptionist that I could order online and provide the clinics information and it would be approved. Yet, I was contacted and informed that the clinic had not yet approved the prescription. I go into the clinic once again to ask why they have not approved the medication. They said the vet was away on vacation and would not be back for some time. They said they hired a new vet and because he hasnt seen my dog he can not approve the medication and she would have to come in for a check up and I would be charged again. When i questioned what I believe were lies, the receptionist was rude and told me to leave or she would call the cops.

Was told to either wait 2 days or go to pet ER.That doesnt feel correct to me. I know Im biased...to my cats welfare...thats what I ask of anyone else in charge of it.I suppose Im glad neither I nor they were embarrassed turning us away in person.

My favorite cat of all time, Simba, recently passed away from liver disease. The entire Staff there was so kind and understanding to me, my mom and Simba the entire time. I sadly had to put him down, but I was able to be there with him until the very last second at least. The doctor and his assistant were so kind to shave for me a patch of his fur to always cherish. Thank you Animal Clinic of Queens from the bottom of my heart for helping us. Rest in Peace, Simba. I love you, buddy.

To be very honest... yes the staff was great. Very friendly. BUT, I brought my pet snake, ( a ball python) in for a check up. I called in advance and made sure they took these kinds of pets, they said I would be seen by their specialist. This man told us that our snake was healthy and in great condition. The only thing he told us to do is to move her heating pad away from where she slept, as she might be getting burned by it. We did as we were told and , a little less then a week later, our snake passed away. We’ve had her for about a year before we moved her heating pad and then when we did, she passes. Wish we didn’t listen to him...

On October 31st I came to Animal Clinic of Queens to recheck my cat’s thyroid with Dr. Bravo and his staff .I called the following Wednesday (11/4/20) to see if the results were in and the receptionist said they did receive the results, but Dr. Bravo hasn’t reviewed them yet. I responded by “saying no problem take your time“. Well guess what? I have been calling this clinic ever since just trying to see why no one has called or email me.The clinic has my phone number and email so there is no excuse as to why I can’t receive my cat’s bloodwork results and her prescription. I basically spent money and didn’t receive any results . I would not recommend this clinic just because of this ONGOING ISSUE.

Please be mindful and ask who the attending vet is for the day. I recently admitted my dog there after an examination by Dr. Sirkis....she was aware that my dog was admitted there for a serious condition as she was the one Initially asked for guidance. The next day, she was again, the attending vet. I called three times and even made a visit to check on my pet, however, i just kept getting the run around excuse that she would call me back. All day no call from her. Never even had the decency to at least let me know that she is aware my pet is there and just didn’t get a chance to check on him. She Day 4, I walked to the vet after I called first thing in the morning and was advised that even after being on iv fluids all this time my dog still would not eat. Dr Caporale was now the attending vet of the day asked me what was going on with my dog and what was his reason for being admitted there. After reviewing my dogs blood work, listening to everything I said and guiding me towards what should have been done for my dog while he was there for 3 days bc in this situation time was of the essence and other day examination and advice should have been done bc my dog wasn’t showing any signs of improvement. I ended up having to make the decision to put my dog of 11 years to sleep. His health declined in a matter of one night and Dr. Sirkis was aware of this during his initial exam. I’ve read in other reviews that she seems to care about tending to surgeries before anything else and I couldn’t agree more. The staff Kayla Norma and Sabrina were wonderful trying to check on my dog as much as they could but there was only so much to they could do as they aren’t veterinarians. I really wish Dr caporale was there from that first day. He took over, He was wonderful, extremely informative, kept his word to get down to what was wrong with my dog, called me back, explained everything to me in detail. I would highly recommend him. Dr Sirkis on the other hand, I def would not recommend her to anyone. Keep In mind if you admit your pet, that each day is a different attending vet, completely unaware of a pet from the prior day and your dog may go days back there without being actually seen by any of the other vets, until the vet from the initial exam is there.

Good care, but my dog hates it there

Doctors were amazing, the front desk service was terrible. There’s two ladies, one with glasses, and one without. The lady with glasses was super kind, but the other lady, OMG! I asked her to explain what should I do with my sick cat and if I should give her food, and she was like YOU SHOULDN’T FOCUS ON THAT RIGHT NOW - if my cat vomited all nigh last night of course I want to know if I can give her food at home and how long do I have to wait. Then, I didn’t understand a few things she explained me once and forget it, when I asked her to explain me again, she explained it to me again but she talked to me like I was dumb. Very unprofessional and had no desire to be working there. Probably took 2 mins out of her lunch break, who knows...Dr Colon, and the male Doctor were very helpful. But they need to change that girl. I’ve noticed I am not the first person that noticed her rudeness.(I AM EDITING THIS NOW - months after the visit 01/20/20)I wasnt able to take my cat to another vet, but guess what? She’s perfectly fine. They made me feel like if I wasnt going to spend thousands of dollars my cat was going to die. She was able to poop what she swallowed and she’s super healthy.PEOPLE!!! Dont WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! .

Dr Mucera is the greatest! So kind and gentle with my grumpy senior cat. Another Queens place wanted to run $1300 of tests and give her totally unnecessary vaccines. I was in and out of here today for $120, with a quick anti-biotic shot for her UTI. Im never going anywhere else.

I have been taking my previous pets here over a decade. I currently have a French Bulldog and they are extremely knowledgeable of the breed. They gave me recommendations with online resources. I went in for the annual check up and was out in less than 30 minutes. The vet tech comforted, hugged and kissed my dog the entire time.

A year ago they drop my 2lb puppy and they hurt his head. I totally understand accidents happened but the vet didn’t apologize and laughed in my face. I took my puppy immediately to a different vet because my puppy didn’t stop crying, they never cover all the medical bills!! Don’t take your dog here !!!

Dr Bravo was great. He treated my cats cancer and althought she didnt pull through in the end he did everything he possibly could have. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because the receptionist (michelle I think her name was) was incredibly rude and insensitive to me when I took my cat to be put to sleep. Yes michelle I was late my appointment but sorry I wasnt rushing to put my cat down.

We have been bringing our animals here for over 25 yrs. recently our cat snow and our dog midnight. Everyone there is very friendly and are always prompt with test results etc to ease your mind no matter the result on what’s going on with your best friends! I highly recommend this vet!

I brought in a cat my daughter found. The staff was friendly, looked for a chip, gave us tips and recommended shelters we could bring the cat.

Very friendly staff. Vet took the time to get to know our new kitten and recommend based on history that we wait for vaccines another week, even offered no fee for second visit to make sure kitten was ready for it.

Called back to let them know the medicine prescribed to my pet wasnt working. Front desk lady was rude and said doctor will take a look at my dog... Last time the doctor looked at my dog she said it was a simple cough, charged me 75 and sent me home. Now they want me to come back and repeat the whole thing. Ill be going somewhere else. These guys have terrible customer service and just want your money

The veternarians and the staff are always caring when we bring our cats. Recently our cat alfie. And velta. The doctors are always are gentle. Dr. Mucera always makes our cat alfie feel better. The manager and staff are always helpful.

Arrived right on time for my appointment. After about 25 minutes of waiting I was told that there were 5 people in front of me.. I wasn’t going to make my cat sit another hour next to multiple barking dogs so I went home. If you want your pet seen even remotely close to your scheduled appointment.. don’t come here

I saw Dr. Bravo the night prior at another local vet place and he had told me to come in when this clinic opens at 10am. Ive expressed to him that I would be in a time crunch and would have to leave at 11. He didnt show up for a little over 20 minutes after 10. I dont want to bad mouth him but for this instance he had no respect of time that he promised. Im going to be late for work because of this.

Horrible experience. Took my Cat to this place because he had a growth in his stomach and the vet said that there was nothing they can do. They did not run test or anything. I knew something was wrong, so I decided to go to a different vet and I found out that my Cat had cancer. Animal Clinic of Queens is the worst experience I had.

Our very old cat was in a lot of physical pain (arthritis) and we were bringing him to put him to sleep. We told the female doctor of how much pain he was in yet she completely ignored it and did a full exam (with aggressive care) while my cat lashed out in pain and agony. Ya, I got to watch my cat get put down in a horrible way. A good doctor would have listened and skipped the exams and let the animal die with with peace. Find a better place to bring your animals.

Found out after three months that the rescue where I got my cat never vaccinated or examined her. They offered to do it here but were trying to deny her bloodwork. I called and tried to explain the situation and ask for a full exam. They cut me off, said they would take care of it, and then canceled my cat’s appointment because I was “being rude.”

The blond receptionist is super rude. Doesn’t say hello and just stares at you. I was uncomfortable. Someone else came in after us and got help but I stood in line and I had to greet them and ask for help from that blond girl in the reception area.

Scheduled an appointment for 11am and literally had to wait with my sick dog for over an hour before we saw the doctor. Appointment scheduling should be done more efficiently. Sick animals shouldnt have to wait over an hour for a scheduled visit.

Dr. Kristina Sirkis was very knowledgeable and answered my questions thoroughly. My dog and I loved her and her staff. She helped plan my dogs needs to avoid unnecessary charges.

The way staff talks to you about your pets problem makes you have faith that everything will go alright. Very well-educated and professional. Such a friendly staff. You could trust your pet to them. I recommend it to anybody that wants his/her pet to be in safe hands 😀

They’ve done fine work with my dogs, but get 1 star because the vet (I forget which one) called me “babe”. Super disrespectful and I will not be returning. Please educate your staff on respecting women.

Came here when my dog was still a puppy and got kennel cough. The doctors were very educated and provided good information on steps that should be taken. They provided anti biotics for my dog that helped a lot. Great place!

Their wait time is ridiculous. I’ve come 3x, made appointments and never have been seen on time for the appointment. I wind up waiting 30-40 minutes after the appointment has been set. Animals sitting there for that long get anxious and paranoid as it is, I can’t explain in dog to them that there’s just poor mismanagement of a schedule. Do better.

We take our cats to the Animal Clinic of Queens because of Dr Sirkus. She is always professional and most important gentle with our catsDr. Sirkus is no longer at Animal Clinic of Queens, so my cats are now treated by Dr. Mucera or Dr Thomas. Both are very knowledgeable. Dr. Mucera is sucessfully. helping Alfie with a liver disorder. Alfie enjoys Dr. Muceras singing. Thanks Dr.Mucera

After being disrespected by the front desk lady a couple times, who is rude and unprofessional, I promised never going back to this overcharging price. I now travel all the way to 117 st in Manhattan, to the BANFIELD hospital, where things work far better for me and my dogs.

Prices are fair for the area. My dog has been with them since puppyhod and they are usually attentive to my concerns. Will continue use them as out vet.

Ive been bringing my dog here for years for the same allergy medication when out of nowhere they want to charge me nearly triple the price for some safe medication I come to find out my had mange which they never tested for just kept telling me to come in for a $60-$100 and ultimately give her the same medication shes been on for years

Dont go here my dog passed away here after they took x-rays of him and said that he just fell over on his side and died after they took the xrays and when I ask for his paper work they give it to me on a cd I paid $240 for the two x-rays I dont want it in a cd I want the actual paper work I paid for never ever trust these people with your family pet

I have to say, Im a little confused about most of the negative reviews for this clinic. I understand that emotions are heightened when a pet is ill, and that can lead to frustrating situations while trying to get them treatment.However, my experience was extremely pleasant. I am new to New York, and most vets in my area are completely booked for the next month. I was able to call Animal Clinic of Queens the day before to schedule a Sunday appointment for my cat. The receptionists were very busy, but they took all of our information down quickly. I was early, so I waited in the front room for about 15 minutes.The vet and his assistant were very gentle but firm with my large, nervous cat. Within minutes, they had assessed her and administered a quick shot (she had a mild UTI). The assistant was quiet, but she helped me get my cat back into her kennel and even lowered the exam table so that I could pick it up more easily.Overall, everyone working here appears to be helpful, knowledgeable and respectful. I couldnt have asked for more from a routine vet visit. Please dont let the negative comments dissuade you from trying this clinic.

On June 2, 2022, I had to put down my 20-year-old sweet cat do to her old age and numerous illnesses which would have been very difficult to care for. Having to make this decision is never easy, but Dr. Mucera was compassionate, understanding, and more than cordial. He helped make the process easier to bear and is much appreciated.

Well mannered staff.affordable pricing .good with my dog.doctor Brovo new exactly what was wrong with my dog.I like that the examination table comes up and down as well as it can also safely secure the dog with leash.I had a problem at another vets office with lifting the dog .he is 70 lb and when he jumped down he split his nail and then had an infection because We didnt realized it until i got home so it was another expense.I also liked that the receptionist. Immediately separated my dog from a possible problem with an aggressive dog.And had him wait in a room were he was comfortable and away from the dog.In our usual vet office they have us wait out side were my dog ends up over heating due to hot summer weather . my dog is an American bully and is not supposed to be exposed to high heat cause he can have a heat stroke.I will be returning to this vet office again.It was a good experience for me and my dog.

It pains me to even write this. I lost a gorgeous French bulldog today due to the HORRIBLE!!! information “Doctor” john had given my family about my frenchies labor. He does not take his job seriously. Makes awkward inappropriate jokes during serious times. “Doctor” John even made an attempt to ask me if i was being hostile, just so he can get off the phone. But i did no such thing and kept very professional. His staff on the other hand TRUELY! The best!! AT BEING DISRESPECTFUL! One receptionist over the phone got loud with me yelling at me! Screaming! That “doctor” John has other patients and didn’t have time to hear my pain. Basically it’s not his problem. Yet he’s the one who gave us the mis-information. He also switched his story up once he received notice of what his mis-information had caused. If you love your pet, please i implore you! Take your pet somewhere else! Dr Kwasnik is a great vet and very honest.

These people were very nice and amazing. I didnt even go there in person yet they helped me. My dog had what I thought was an emergency, she was given two dosages of heart worm prevention medicine, one meant for her size and a lower dosage meant for a smaller dog. This of course freaked me out and I called here. Told them what had happened, unfortunately the lead vet wasnt available because they were in the middle of putting another dog to sleep but literally called back within 5 minutes to tell me my dog would be okay. They didnt have to do that, they could have said my dog needed to come in and have her checked out taking advantage of me for an unnecessary bill. They asked of course if my dog was experiencing any adverse side effects and listed them to me, which she wasnt. So it wasnt as though they didnt care about my dog. I didnt go here but they still helped me.

This clinic is above average. Dont let the location or the decor inside fool you, the doctors on staff are very professional. I have an old cat with special needs that needed a follow up from an emergency clinic and I was able to get an appointment at a very short notice. Dr Caporale was wonderful, diagnose my cats condition, gave him a good bill of health and sent us home to administer some antibiotic for his very bad breath. I initially thought the bad breath was due to rotten teeth, but thank goodness it was just something bacteria related, thanks to the diagnosis from Dr Caporale, I saved a lot of money.

Now this place have a very good veterinarian doctor. Compare to before is much better. He is a very professional doctor. Prices are may bite you a little. Other than that is ok.

I brought in my nine year old cat Monkey, who, it turned out had kidney failure. Bad. Everyone at the clinic was solicitous, from front desk to Dr. Mucera. Monkey wasnt improving in hospital at the clinic. Dr. Mucera could see how Monkey was very much attached to me and suggested I care for him at home. All my phone calls and tears, my questions and concerns wereprofessionally and compassionately dealt with. Monkey is doing much better on the hydration and meds. Thank you to the Animal Clinic of Queens and Dr. Mucera.

I have been going to this vet office for a few years now, Dr. Capperali and Dr. Bravo are awesome! The reason they do not get 5 stars, sadly, is due to the lack of professionalism and rudeness of the ladies at the front desk.

This was a traumatic experience, specifically with Dr. Sirkis.My cat is experiencing irritation in and around her ears and has been excessively grooming them. I also wanted to have her immunizations updated. She is a rescue who we mostly keep indoors and is not accustom to being outside the home for long periods of time, especially confined in her carrier. I ended up waiting 45 minutes to an hour in the waiting room, after our scheduled appointment. This totaled well over an hour in the carrier.By the time Dr. Sirkis was ready for us, my cat was terrified, perhaps in part because of the physical discomfort she was already experiencing. I have never seen her this aggressive in the 6 years we’ve shared together (including visits to other clinics). As my girl hissed and swatted, Dr. Sirkis kept repeating, “What a bad girl. What a very bad girl,” which... was honestly bizarre and made me uncomfortable. It showed a distinct lack of compassion for my animal and for me as a concerned cat mom. After attempting to cajole my girl for max 1 minute, Dr. Sirkis informed me very directly that if my cat bit anyone in the room they would have no choice but to decapitate her to ensure she did not have rabies. While I am sure this is technically a reality, the delivery was shockingly unprofessional. Her bluntness was completely unprompted, as I did not hesitate to agree with her recommendation to return the following day after medicating my cat. I had not asked for any further explanation, I had been entirely trusting and compliant.All creatures, including frightened, aggressive creatures, are deserving of compassion and care that is reflective of their worthiness to live comfortably. I am currently studying to be a psychoanalyst, my dad is a family doctor, and many of my relatives work in healthcare adjacent fields... I know a poor practitioner when I meet one. Everyone is feeling the stress of our bizarre cultural moment, but I won’t risk the wellbeing (or life) of my pet for anyone’s bad day.I was supposed to return today with my cat slightly medicated, but after reflecting on my experience with Dr. Sirkis, I really don’t feel comfortable ever returning.Finally, I would just like to add: the desk staff were wonderful and kind.

Well if I could give zero stars I would.! They are horrible they gave a list of what needed to be done which turned out to be completely incorrect and very expensive. Front desk girl Jazmine very rude and unprofessional and the staff lack empathy! They should be embarrassed to work there!! All they want is money and give misinformation! And for lack of a better phrase THE SUCK!!

I only came here once, and felt pushed into a procedure I wasn´t comfortable with and which was unnecessary. I didn´t come back to this facility after that.
