I have been grooming my teacup poodle with Gimme Paw for a few years now. The groomer is absolutely amazing. With past groomers my dog would cry and it would break my heart to leave him. With the groomer of Gimme Paw he goes right to her without hesitation. She is warm and welcoming and it is obvious she is not just a dog groomer but a dog lover. Highly recommend you give Gimme Paw a try for your pup!

I seldom write reviews. And before starting to write this review, I took some time to read any of the less than 5 star reviews for Gimme Paw so I could try and offset any of the unreasonableness or unrealistic unmet expectations. I immediately recommend Gimme Paw to any puppy parent or curious human who asks about Alonso’s haircuts. While perfection isn’t real, I know that the work quality being put out by Gimme Paw (thanks, Bella 💖) are testament to the pursuit of perfect. The proof is in the pudding and Alonso comes back perfect every single time. We’ve been going to Gimme Paw for nearly all of Alonso’s life, close to two years now. Alonso is my baby, and I require nothing short of the best care for him. Alonso is a curly haired mini Goldendoodle of about 16/17 pounds (~ 9 pounds when he got his first groom at Gimme Paw). From his early puppy years and learning how to develop his patience with handling and my own personal education on how to best care for a longer haired dog, Gimme Paw and Bella have always been supportive, and offering guidance where able. Since it’s been my goal to instill and maintain strong home hygiene habits, I prioritized simulating the activities involved in groom early on. While my dog is the sweetest angel, he is also only a living being. As is true for humans, there are times where he’s annoyed or his temperament is drained and he wants nothing to do with grooming. I respect that and struggle to understand how others found it unbelieveable that their dogs would behave with emotion and dislike during a groom. Aggression isn’t always ill intended but could still result in harm to the groomer or delay in the anticipated groom time. It would be unfair to me and and you and any other customer be impacted as a result of an unruly or poorly behaved dog. Of the less than 5 star reviews, it seems there’s been disappointment around Gimme Paw’s ability to schedule. I can’t speak for others, but in NYC, I myself have to book my dental cleaning six months in advance. I am always excited for openings posted on Instagram and the Gimme Paw team’s quick response via text when I’m looking to schedule grooming. I’ve never had any issues scheduling, rescheduling, or confirming an appointment. They’ve even been incredibly graceful on bad weather days or when work is running and I’m stressed about pick up time. Any service where people will be involved will obviously involve emotions. My interactions both with the groomers, historic front desk staff, and texting has never been unpleasant. I’m not looking for my groomer to be a sales agent or a therapist so our conversations are clear and generally kind as well. Gimme Paw accommodates my checking in during the groom and provides me advance notice of my hunny’s readiness and expected time so I can plan and travel to pick him up. I even get pictures of my hunny as a sneak peek here and there. One thing I know now that I probably didn’t fully understand during Alonso’s early grooms, is that grooming doesn’t start and stop at Gimme Paw. I prioritize my dog’s grooming on a daily basis. The responsibility of mats, tangles, nails, paw pads, ears, etc. is mine. It is unrealistic to think that a one time appointment is going to replace the need routine home care. A friendly reminder to folks 😊. In the early stages of grooming, while both my dog and I were learning, there were instances where we were charged for the cost to “de-mat” my dog. While a surprise initially, I realized soon after that I was just unaware that mats were a thing and that they had the ability to complicate and prolong my dog’s grooming. I’ve since learned how to address these at home and work with Gimme Paw’s groom to maintain Alonso’s coat health and cut. If I had to pick a bone, it’d be that I used to love going in and waiting to see Alonso run up and greet me when I went to pick him up, and that’s no longer feasible. There’s no hesitation from me. I would and do recommend Gimme Paw.

Ive gotten my dog groomed here for a few years now and not once have had an issue. From making the appointments, to times, rescheduling, payment. Everything is pretty much straightforward. Continue doing great work

I cannot thank Belkins enough for making our Schnauzer look like a million bucks! She was the absolute sweetest and took good care of my boy! I cannot wait to come back to her for every single one of our dogs cuts. Don’t look anywhere else! Contact her for your dogs grooming needs.

Let me first say we got reccomended to this place and we were obviously a little nervous as new pet owners and being that it would be our pets first cut. We had an amazing first experience and can tell that so did our pup! My husband and kids dropped off our oup Bruno and they reported receiving great attention and service expressing that they took time to connect with Bruno. Upon pickup  I could not be happier the results were amazing and we could tell our Bruno was ecstatic as well. He looks amazing and have already gotten so many compliments! As gift we gift we got a pic and good feedback that he did really good for his first time. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you so much! Run, dont walk (ha). The only negative thing I have to say about my experience is that it took me too long to find Gimme Paw. I could not recommend this place more. The experience is streamlined and comprehensive, all thanks to the incredibly kind and attentive staff. When I dropped my pup off, the groomer took their time to listen and assess my pup, ultimately making the best recommendation for the service. They showed me physical samples of fur length so that I could compare and better visualize the result. There was absolutely zero rush, and I felt very confident leaving my pup in their hands. The cherry on top is the Polaroid shot they took of my babys new cut, which is on my fridge! Too cute. I am not typically a review writer, but this place deserves all the kudos!

Brought my old man in for a well needed grooming! Well worth the money, he came back looking like a brand new dog. I got exactly what I asked for, his ears are hairless and his face is nicely shaved. I was honestly shocked at how quickly he was done, usually I had to drop him off and wait a couple of hrs (3-4) to get him done but I’m assuming it’s because of a few dogs being groomed ahead of him. I’m very happy with his cut and the amount of time it took. I will be coming back for regular cuts! Me and my old man appreciate you guys!

Terrible company with poor ethics. They treat employees like garbage and even threaten to withhold their checks over petty things due to the company being disorganized. At canon the employee is always wrong.Their HR department that very much does exist (see a prior review where they told a customer they don’t have one). It just happens to be one of the worst ones I’ve ever seen and I have HR Management experience. They are rude, unethical, and immoral.They take advantage of elderly customers by up charging them and knowingly selling them products they do not need.Please take your business elsewhere!!!

Always a great experience, and the best grooming in RIDGEWOOD. Groomer is patient and did exactly what we asked for. My dog always leaves looking amazing!

Waited weeks to get an appointment for my 3rd visit. The groomer had a slight attitude asking if my puppy had worked on training at home. I said yes, I tried my best. My puppy nibbles and has a very friendly and excited affect, she is not aggressive at all. After 40min, the groomer calls me to pick up my dog as she is fully booked for the day with other customers and cannot groom my dog because she’s behaving badly on the table and peed twice. The groomer made it clear she did not need or care for my business and she has plenty of other customers. I received my dog wet with knots on her body. I felt so disrespected and offended. As a small business, or any business during these times, they should appreciate customers who return every 8 weeks or so. My dog is a puppy who is growing up and learning to be groomed. She is not a terror which is what the groomer made it feel like. Take your dog somewhere else where your business will be appreciated as they apparently have enough customers.

In an area of drought for professional dog care services, Gimme Paw LLC is a welcome addition to the neighborhood.Our Corgi went through 1 hour temperament testing, and passed! We received a call right away with results and immediately had her in day care where their social media kept us updated with our pets fully enriched day and grown a small following of fellow enrolled pups! Every question we have asked thus far has been responded with knowledge and attentive care.The front-store shop has amenities of items such as clothing, pamper care, quality treats and more!We will be trying their grooming services shortly and fully believe to see the same quality of service.Edit: We have used their grooming services and I am happy to report that the price is well worth the services. Our pup was well groomed and fresh for weeks. They also took care to sensitivities reporting how well our pup did with the dryer. I appreciate such attention, as I did not state if my pup had any sensitivities.The staff is friendly and passionate for what they do, and truly make a pawrent feel their pup is in loving good care!I am enthusiastic as their company grows, and hope to see what else is to come as they grow their services and the community they will build around their company. As of this post, services are daycare, boarding, grooming, and a small but quality selection of merchandise.If you are in need of those services, I whole-heartily recommend placing Gimme Paw LLC at the top of your list, they will not disappoint and will be just as passionate about your pup as you are.

GREAT WORK! We’ve been going to Gimme Paw since they opened and they were always the best in the neighborhood. We moved away, tried one groomer, and missed Gimme Paw. Our first groom back yesterday after a year and still amazing work! You know your pet is safe there. They keep their business very clean which I look at when finding a groomer, it’s my number one thing. They have a great business practice and they are to date on Instagram as well. Our Maltese/shitzu always comes out looking and smelling amazing!!!

Took my 2 puppies to get groomed. I always had a groomer come to me but when I saw they were so close I made an appointment right away and it was the best decision! The place is amazing. The staff is wonderful. Got to see pictures of my pups while they were getting groomed and having fun. They came out looking and smelling amazing! Definitely our new place to get groomed!

After receiving service here on four different occassions, we arrived today to a different experience. Our appointment was not in the system eventhough we received a confirmation text. After clearing up the appointment issue, the long hair Fabio looking owner was informed that my schnoodle was overgrown and we expected she would be shaved down and the cost would include a matting fee. He began to tell me that my dog would be shaved. I again explained that we expected a full shave and we had received the same full service 3 times before. He became annoyed, accused me of interrupting him. When I expressed that I was a returning customer, happy with the services we had received and was aware of the full shave and cost, he seemed to become more annoyed and told me I was being rude. I again reiterated that I was previosuly happy, knew what to expect and was prepared to pay the cost of service. I had also reminded him that I had signed quite a few forms upon registering my dog and knew the process. He again became annoyed, and asked me to allow him to speak. I did. And he again reiterated the expectations. Once he was allowed to speak, he reiterated again the service, and cost. I agreed to the service vut made the mistake of asking if they had toothpaste. (Last appointment, toothpaste was unavailable). I stated if they were out of toothpaste, I could go home and get my tube. He again became annoyed, told me my comment was uncalled for, and he woud not service my dog. Done!Extremely rude and unprofessional and we will never spend our money at this establishment again.

100% Recommend! Recently, I scheduled a grooming appointment for my puppy Gus and the process was so easy and accommodating. When we arrived, the staff was super friendly and the groomer came out and went over everything that was included. Gus is a 60lb Sheepadoodle and he came out looking so fluffy, clean and smelling so wonderful! He was very happy and so were we with the results. Gimme Paw is a wonderful addition to Freshpond Road and we will be back!

My French bulldog loves it here! He starts getting excited from when we pull up in the car. We have been going to Gimme Paw for daycare since they opened and its been nothing but great. They treat Bam like hes one of their own and you can see how happy he is to be there. I was immediately impressed with how clean and modern everything is. The owners are knowledgeable and professional. Would definitely recommend.

Very respectful and responsive they surpassed my expectations. They took great care of my pup especially for being his first grooming experience. They know how to work with anxious dogs which is hard to find. Definitely will recommend to family and friends!

I am very picky when it comes to groomers because my dog has super sensitive skin and she has separation anxiety. So for me to really like a place with great service is a huge deal for me because I know my dog was happy with the service. As soon as I walked in my dog was shaking because she gets nervous (she gets like that at groomers) but when I picked her up she was so calm and happy I noticed the difference. Keep in mind she didn’t want me to pick her up like normally I do after she gets groomed. She was sitting and so happy tbh I was super impressed. I also appreciated getting information about the shampoo they use on her. It was my first time and I will return again! Lastly, they have super cute dog toys I almost brought all of them! I can’t be anymore happier with this place!

Gimme Paw has been the best thing to happen to my fur baby. Ive been taking her to daycare for the past few months and I can tell she loves it. Everyone there is so kind, knowledgeable and friendly. I really appreciate their care and how attentive they are with her. Glad to have found a place I can count on to take care of her while I work.

I had my 8 year old pup go get his necessary grooming done since he is a shih tzu. AMAZING JOB DONE. My dog has separation anxiety and has had horrible experiences prior. Pervious groomers razor burned, low cuts always, and exposed nail skin, and always scared when i picked him up from other places. So it has been really hard to trust and find the ones that can do it right. We are happy to say this will be Maxs permanent groomers. He was happy when we received him back and looked so clean and no need to cut off all his hair, nails done right and best of all no razor burns, my pup was happy to be there and it was clear that they care about the dogs that go there. Amazing service, recommend 100 %.

I left my dog, a 95lb Redbone Coonhound, overnight for 5-6 day boarding and when we picked him up he seemed so happy, content, and tired (from all the playing and exercise he got at GimmePaw!) The staff was truly amazing; i got daily updates, pictures, & videos sent to my phone as well as the chance to facetime my dog on Christmas. All of his needs were met, from his feeding schedule to his walking schedule. I could not recommend a better doggy daycare or boarding place in Queens!

Ive taken both my dogs, Kira & Ray, to GimmePaw and they are definitely my favorite pet grooming, daycare, and boarding place in all of Queens/Brooklyn. They were extremely attentive and considerate when cutting my dog Kiras nails, especially since she hates getting it done, as well as genuinely caring when boarding my other dog Ray. Ive had my dogs boarded in multiple places throughout Queens/Brooklyn and this is the best by far. They have great prices for all of their services and even adorable accessories in front of the store. Kira is also obsessed with their frozen yogurt for dogs!
