They are amazing! My dog who became reactive while being groomed was turned down by his old groomer and they were willing to take him in and did a great job with him. I am so happy with their service and I would highly recommend them!!

We had an amazing first experience at Dog Friendly Grooms! Sandra took time to connect with Ollie and give him some treats while we chatted about what I was looking for. He felt at ease right away and was totally happy to go to the back room when I left. He looks amazing! We’ll definitely be back.

This is our go-to place for our very anxious dog’s nail trims and anal gland discharges. Not every groomer does the glands, and if your dog has a problem with that like ours does it’s a really important service to have in the neighborhood. Clean place, professional work, nice people.

The kindest most amazing dog groomer I’ve ever encountered. We have a rather large older dog and a lot of groomers won’t take her. Not only this place does but the owner is an absolute angel and so compassionate and kind. We will be back soon. Highly recommend this place

Absolutely love this place. I always adopt senior dogs and sometimes theyre hard to handle (my current dog is blind) and Sandra and her team are gentle and patient with every single dog I bring to her shop. Ill never go anywhere else.

Wonderful local business. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and having my dog groomed. All of the staff are dog friendly and wonderful people. My dog had a wonderful experience and came back looking cleaned and groomed. The purple bowtie was a great touch.

Took my pup Luna for her first groom and Stacy & Sandra did such an amazing job!! I was nervous at first but when I picked her up she looked like a total princess. Handled with care and all dolled up! 10/10 recommend.

Took my golden retriever here & never again they brushed his back way to hard that they made him bleed. I noticed when I kept touching his back he would lay down right away.

They brush my dog way to hard it was bleeding he wouldn’t let us touch his back because of the pain he didn’t even wanted to go on walks anymore they knew they had brush him to hard and didn’t bother to tell me and just let him suffer shame on you

I am a first time dog owner. Visited various places with my puppy Dakota before Dog friendly groomers. Not only did Sandra the owner spend an hour on the phone with me answering all my questions but when I took my 4 month puppy for his first groom Sandra not only took her time with him but let his parents stay and watch in the back with him. She is strictly by appointments only and most important does not crate them!! Highly recommend Dog friendly groomers!! Have not looked back ever since!

I love this place so much and so does my dog. It’s hard to find a groomer who just *gets* what you want and delivers time and time again. It’s an added bonus that I also enjoy seeing Sandra and catching up. I moved to Alabama and whenever I’m in New York I still bring my dog to get groomed here. I’m yet to find anyone as good, highly recommended

I love this place. What caught my attention was the fact that it was kennel free. I never put my dog in a kennel so I was always against that. Sandra goes by appointments only because she is kennel free, which is something else I love because I bring my dog in and expect him to be done in 2-3 hours. I’ve taken teddy there about 3 times so far and have been pleasantly pleased every single time. This will be my go-to always unless I move too far hehe.

My Smokie comes back so happy after his grooming! I’ve been coming here for a couple of years now and they’re really masters of their craft!

Sandra is amazing at what she does. She cares about the dogs and the clients. I also love that she doesn’t keep my babies all day long and keep them caged like most places do! I wouldn’t want to bring my dogs anywhere else. If your pup needs a grooming definitely bring them here!

Went today for the first time with my nervous dog for a long overdue cut. The result was just gorgeous ! The staff was so nice and accommodating. Will definitely be coming back.

I would say this place is pretty hit or miss. I have received grooming/nail trim services that vary throughout the spectrum of great-bad over the last couple years, just wanted to give them a few chances before just dismissing them. My last visit would unfortunately be my last because shortly after I picked up my dog from a groom, I came home and noticed he got fleas. I don’t understand how but I assumed it was just 1 straggler or something but sadly it has gotten worse and he has been under severe discomfort ever since with itchy, raw skin and had been behaving so strangely and unlike himself. I used to live in Texas where fleas where a lot more of a problem and he has never been in this condition with fleas and I think the last time I even saw a flea on him prior to this was maybe 4 years ago. Pray for my pup :(

My dog max is extremely reactive and has been kicked out of other groomers. They are amazing with him here. I wish i could give more than five stars.

Great staff,Sandra is a very caring person. Stacey has been grooming my dog Jasmine for almost 15 yearsThey always check her out health wise and advise me if they see any changes . They give a great cut ! I definitely recommend bringing your pet here.

Sandra is an absolute pleasure to deal with. My brother and I took our dog, Sugar to get groomed every month or so. Sandra and her staff are super professional and were always sweet and kind to Sugar.

We brought our dog here because her nails are too long and we had anxiety about clipping them at home. They showed us what to buy and how to use the tools, and even offered to give us a second session free in a week just to show us how to trim her nails at home. Long story short: they are super helpful and caring, and it’s a lovely environment!

My husband and I brought our Sheepadoodle Puppy here for a trim - basically just wanted a scissor cut. His coat was long and we just wanted it a tad shorter. We specified that we did NOT want him shaved. Well when we picked him up he was shaved.This is very disappointing as we’ve bought our puppy here before and it has always been a great experience. But after this, we will not be returning. Extremely disappointed and upset. And looking at the reviews I see this isn’t the first time this has happened.

LOVE this place!!! The women are absolutely the sweetest people. They are so kind and gentle with my dogs who are old and fragile.. They do a fantastic job with their grooming services and I couldnt be more satisfied. I suggest you check them out if your dog is ready for a groom and some TLC. 😊😊

Love this place! Sandra is a great groomer and she is very professional and loving with our fur baby .. business is very clean and is cozy and warm. Weve been taking our shihtzu here for years and never had any issues.. Pricing is decent.

Dont believe all the positive reviews for this pet groomer! These good reviews must have been written on purpose, either by the owner or her acquaintances, to deceive prospective customers. The reality is that my dog has been infected with skin parasites by her unsterilized instruments/ clippers. Shortly after the grooming session, my dog became plagued by severe itching. As a result, I have had to spend a lot of money on vet visits, medications and treatments.If you want to save yourself and your dog from needless suffering, please AVOID this place.

Let me start by saying Sandra is simply the best (and I’m not just saying this because we are both BORN Brooklyn natives Bushwick/Bedstuy groomed – pun intended)! Cody loved her! Yesterday was our first visit and straight away she made us feel like family. “Dog Friendly Grooms” lives up to its name. This establishment is clean & welcoming and Sandra is very professional. Sandra did a wonderful job grooming Cody and I’m happy to say that we have found a new home!

Horrible experience. Where should I begin. Walked in for my dogs appt to witness a maltese almost running out the front door as ,with that said the doors are not locked so people walk in and out. Yes the website states dogs are not caged but does not state anything about doors. After speaking to the owner and stating my concerns sge proceeded to tell me that she didnt feel the need to explain and i should leave. After 2 days she charged my credit card $25.00, called me to tell me i asked why s ge started yelling at me and then hung up the phone on me. IF You Love Your Dog Do Not Bring Them There. Repeat do not Pet friendly I dont think so. I never gave anyone or anyplace a review before but I really feel this one is necessary.UPDATE!!! (IN RESPONSE TO OWNERS RESPONSE TO MY FIRST POST)I would like all current customers or potential customers to be aware that everything that the owner of Pet Friendly Grooms is saying is incorrect. First off, you are not sorry for my experience because if you were indeed sorry you would not have hung up the phone on me twice. I was fine with the Kennel free situation because my past groomer was also kennel free therefore I was looking for the same environment. What I was not aware of was your version of kennel free which means free range. I personally did not feel comfortable leaving my dog somewhere where he has such access to running out the front door. You state in your response that it is 100% your right as a dog owner to be concerned about my dogs safety. But what you neglect to respond back is that when I stated my concern you simply said well if thats what you feel I dont need to explain myself and raised your hand making a brushing off gesture. Your door is not ALWAYS locked. I walked in and did not look the door behind me and neither did you therefore the entire time you were speaking with me the door was unlocked and another client could have freely walked in and a dog could have possible ran out. When I asked you about this you said you never had that happen. Which is great. But i did not feel comfortable leaving my dog there and chance him being the first. If you understood my opinion then you should have never charged my credit card. I was told over the phone that I wouldBe charged if I did not show up for the appointment. I agreed of course, this is common for appointments. But I did indeed show up for my appointment. I did not feel safe leaving my dog under the conditions I saw and so you charge me? Instead of understanding that i was concerned dog owner you took advantage of having my credit card on file and charged me the fee. If you were so sorry like you state in your response you would not have been so rude when I first expressed my concerns, yelled at me on the phone, hung up twice, or charged me the cancelation fee even when I didnt cancel.If there is any review you will read and take into consideration prior to making your appointment here please make it be mine.She is a horrible business person with no manners for her costumers. I would never leave any living creature under her supervision.

My two italian greyhounds were greeted right away and got back scratches 🥰 I told the owner i just wanted a nail trim for both BUT one of my dogs Sage is extremely nervous with her right paw due to having two surgeries and having a cast on that leg on and off for a year. She is very hard trusting with anyone but me but she wont let me clip her nails only brush her teeth. Sandra listened to everything and sat down with my dogs and talked for little before she took them back. She did an amazing job - she even got to file it after clipping where my dogs are scared of any electric noises lol! I may not have a groooming feedback but as to nail clipping and overall customer care - this place is awesome ! I recommend 🐾✅

Always satisfied when i bring my dog for a grooming here. They dont have any cages for the dogs which I love. Once my dog gets his haircut hes able to roam freely until I pick him up

I have been bringing my baby, Mr.H , the Shih Tzu to Sandra’s establishment for few years. I love that she treats my dog as her own and I have observed first hand how patient she is, as my baby can be quite a whiner/complainer for absolutely no reason other that being groomed.

The fact that I drive down all the way from Staten Island every 6 weeks to have both my dogs groom here says it all. Sandra and her team are EXCELLENT!!!!

The owner is not friendly and lies to her customers about making appointments. The customer is never right even when its the owners wrong doing.. first time I took my dog here she didnt even comply with what I asked for..if you love your animals DO NOT BRING THEM HERE!

Dog Friendly Grooms surpassed my expectations!!! My dog Ace was a little difficult, however Sandra handled him very well and he looked so adorable at the end of his grooming session!

This place was awful. I spoke with the owner and said we wanted Just a trim we came back and our poodle was completely shavedI asked what the heck happened? Her response was oh it will grow back awful listening skills.

Well first of all its a very friendly atmosphere they treat your pets like if they were their own pets not to expensive but do a great job you get what you pay for I ONLY let one groomer do my dog for one reason and one reason only because she worked at one place before coming over to Dog Friendly Groomers and my dog Happy Jack will only let Stacy groom him but everyone who works there are very good at their jobs there is not one bad apple in the whole assblishment each and every groomer is fantastic so if you need a New place or looking for the first time this is the only place I would definitely recommend definitely would not bring my dog to k-9 caters I definitely will and do buy all my pet food there but not for grooming girl in charge is very nasty and dont do what you want done she does whatever she wants please just go to DOG FRIENDLY GROOMERS THEY ARE THE BEST 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯 THANK YOU FOR LISTENING

Like the grooming they’ve done, but they are overbooked and disorganized! Was told on Monday they’d call me for a grooming on Thursday, but no call received. When I showed up on Wednesday, I was told they have record of ever taking my number and no spot available! So another week to wait!

My boyfriend went there 30 minutes before appointment. the lady did not even had patience for him to look up for the vaccine of our dog she said i will take next dog then he calmy told her he had found the vacciness and she started telling him that the dog needs to be all shaved and it will be more money , We do not care how much we pay but if i pay for a service the haircut has to be how we want not the groomer ! my boyfriend said nicely that he dont want to leave the dog because he doesn t feel comfortable anymore and that he is willing to pay for a fee. but the lady rudely started to raising her voice and act as if we do not have the $$ to pay ! One star is not enough to put ! the previous dog was crying in the back so we did not felt safe to leave our dog . As for customer service . DO NOT raise youse voice at a customer because you had a bad day or because youre stressed. Never coming back

I will never come back here. My dogs looked nothing like what I showed them. Their haircuts are blotchy and unevenly cut. One of them are completely shaved down. The other they took some much off from the too of his head but left the sides untouched. Theirs stomached are full of uneven patches. Their nails were cut incorrectly and are now very sharp.I’m not happy with this at all. I wouldn’t recommend bringing your dogs here if you care about them. I should have known when they called saying my dogs were ready in an hour and half for 2 dogs that something was off! Anywhere else takes atleast 3 to 4 hours. I now have to wait months for their hair to grow back so it can be corrected elsewhere.*UPDATE* - in reply to the owner’s response which is completely unprofessional. My dogs look nothing like what I showed you. I’m confused as to what you’re even talking about, my review is based on exactly how I saw my dogs haircuts, horrible. I wouldn’t have trusted you to correct it.I left good tip because I come from a service based industry not because you did a great job. Thank you for your passive aggressive reply. It does nothing but further prove to people why they should avoid your services.

Great service and friendly owners

Took my corgi in for the first time and the staff was amazing. Hes usually a calm dog, but hates getting his nails trimmed. Even when he was barking and snarling, the groomers were very calm and gentle with him. Definitely making this his regular spot.

I brought my two dogs in today for baths and nail trims. I have short haired pups and they dont need a whole lot of fuss. They staff here is wonderful. They called to make sure I knew my one dog had a cut on his ear (I did). My dogs were very at ease when I came to pick them up. They of course looked and smelled wonderful and they even gave them holiday bandanas! Very reasonable price. We will definitely be back!

I did my research to find excellent, friendly and patience groomer in Queens for my 6 month old Shih Tzu boy who was getting his first full groom. My research lead me to Sandra at Dog Friendly Grooms, she was extremely friendly and sweet to me and my baby boy Akio. I showed her an image of a cut I had in mind for him and he came out looking very similar to it. Everyone loves the cut and thinks he looks adorable. I commuted from Kew Gardens to this location but it was so worth it. Looking forward to going back in 8 weeks.

Fatally, I dont recommend it for anything in the world, my dogs 2 shitzu that it only took them to do a small touch-up twice since the first one wasnt very happy, I gave her a vote of confidence but this time fatal lack of empathy for animals and even more knowing You work with dogs, Sandra, poorly educated for making my dog ​​pee, what can happen to anyone, angry, telling me that I have to pick him up, transmitting nerves to my pets, zero affectionate and not only with mine, with Others that I have looked at there only care about the money and that you leave them a tip!!!!
