Most owners are great! Most of the dogs were sweet. My dog was super happy and friendly with all the dogs (small side) but towards the end of our time at the park there was a 5 year old Westie who was NOT friendly and tried to bite my 5 month old pup for trying to play… the dog owner was more interested in taking pictures of my puppy than reprimanding her dog and said “he’s fine” after her dog snapped at mine. If your dog is not socialized the place to bring them is not a dog park, it’s a private training session. Please be careful with your fur babies and be responsible for only bringing socialized dogs here so everyone can have a positive experience🙏 Giving 4 stars because the park itself is great!
Beautiful dog park with plenty of room. There are two separate parks divided by a fence. One for small dogs and one for large dogs. Make sure you bring your own bags for clean up. Parking is limited so the earlier or later in the day you come the better. Very hard to find a parking spot mid-day.
Love this dog park soo much! We bring our corgi ein there to play with furends. There is a small dog park and a big dog park that are separated. Both parks have lots of room for your pup to run and play.
My dogs are the kind of putties that like to go to the dog park to visit the people, not the dogs. Every dog parent is totally cool with it! Thanks for petting my babies! They love it more than anything!
Big fenced space. Well shaded picnic table areas. Always other dogs here to run around with. The only down side is lots of dry dirt in most of the space.
In town for extended biz trip, sadly I have to say Saratoga Springs is one of the least friendly towns for dogs Ive visited. Been chased off of sidewalks and front lawns while walking my dog, many signs saying dont let your dog pee here in front of houses. I guess they are trying to keep their grass green for the racing tourist season. This off leash dog park was a nice respite. Lovely grounds, well-kept, and well behaved dogs and owners.
Its always well maintained and I love the gates, if you go PLEASE remember to unhook your dog once you enter the first set of gates, for some reason the dogs dont like it when a dog comes into the actual park area still with the leash on they usually get overwhelmed and scared, but though dogs get vocal Ive never seen dogs actually fight each other there are park benches and plenty of water dishes there with bags of tennis balls just lying around its a fantastic place to bring your dog !
I enjoy the park as much as my dog does.I enjoy all the different breeds of dogs that come to play!
My Sheltie (puppy, 11 pounds) managed to wedge his head between the bars of the small dog park and escape. Thankfully he has good recall and didn’t get flattened by a car. Beware.
Amazing, though I did not go inside fenced in dog park, just huge trail. Midnight is my sons 43lb 9 mo old standard poodle who has yet to be socialized in such a large dog park setting. She loved her first time on the trail exploring everything pretty much to herself without running into any other dogs on the 1mile trail we took. So grateful this is available to us Saratogians!
Was only here briefly (passing through on a road trip and the pup needed a break), but very nice setup with a separate small dog area. There was a lot of dirt without grass, so my dog got a bit dirty. There were water bowls but it looked like you might need to bring your own water. There were plenty of other friendly dogs and owners there at 10am on a Wednesday in August.
My husband takes or dog here each week, & they have so much fun. Everyone is expected to clean up after their dog (& they do), so its clean & not smelly. Separate area for small dogs. Great time for socialized dogs to run & play together. Fortunately, havent seen any badly behaved/ violent dogs
Great spacious location, completely gated in. There is an area for small dogs, and a separate for area for bigger dogs. Plenty of toys and water dishes so you dont have to bring your own! Also there are trails to take walks on as well. Picnic tables and chairs to sit and relax. Also great to bring the kids to run around with all the dogs and get their exercise too!
My dogs love coming here so we do often. It’s a good size space, fairly clean, and mostly responsible owners. But there have been two instances where my dogs and I had to leave when we shouldn’t have. One day a very tiny dog was in the big dog area and my large dog kept jumping on it, the owners thought it was funny and as they saw my concern told me, “oh she loves big dogs” so I had to get my poor dog and leave, if I had stayed he would’ve ended up hurting their dog. Another day someone else’s dog kept running up to my 7mo dog and growling, the owner kept laughing and said it was cute..? I had to leave because I was afraid their dog was going to hurt mine
⚠️All are welcome, no paid membership required, HOWEVER if you KNOW your dog doesnt play well with others, please keep a closer eye on them and take responsibility for their actions!!⚠️My heart aches for the🐶that got MAULED by a black lab today😟.Special THANK YOU to all who volunteer help cleanup and maintain the park!-3 dual Water bowls for our pups to drink out of when they get thirsty.-Plenty of room to run around in. Or walk on the trails surrounding the fenced in area.⚠️All are welcome, as a paid membership isnt required, HOWEVER if you KNOW your dog doesnt play well with others, please keep a closer eye on them and take responsibility for their actions!!⚠️*****My heart aches for the🐶that got MAULED by a black lab today😟.*****Special THANK YOU to all who volunteer help cleanup and maintain the park!
Great area for dogs of all sizes to come and run around. I do wish the owners paid more attention to their animals when people are entering/ leaving the park and when dogs start to bark at each other. Youre there for the dogs, lets keep it safe.
Saratoga dog park and butterfly sanctuary is a great place for your pups and great photo opportunities with the butterflies!
The park itself is not bad but some of the people there make the experience less pleasant. I will not be going there again as i got ganged up on by a couple of boomer karens after about 45 minutes when one of my dogs tried to engage in appropriate play with theirs. even though my dogs were not doing anything wrong, the owners got hostile towards me and someone who had just arrived chimed in. One of the karens got in my face and was threatening to hit me as well.
A few of the people are alright but most dont know the first thing when it comes to dogs or any animals behavior. Be very cautious and keep an eye out, some dogs are aggressive. If you have a pit mix or any breed that resembles a pit in anyway you might want to steer clear because even if your dog is friendly, if an altercation occurs your dog will be blamed no matter what. Very breedist place unfortunately. Many do not clean up after their dogs so watch your step. Other than that the fenced area is pretty large. There will be no where for you to sit though because the people there allow the dogs to go all over the tables and benches (again watch out for aggressive dogs seeking higher ground by using the picnic tables) so if you want to sit, bring your own chair.
Great run room for the pups if it had a couple activities I would have gave 5 stars
Great dog park with both fenced in areas and open trails
Upsetting we walked our dogs on trail with blue butterfly habitats assuming no pesticides and herbicides. there were no signs at entry.. at the far end turn to return there was a pesticides warning on the 5th at 11am. during the most humid and populated time for trail it also rained that day too. there were dying furry bees and dead bugs all over the trail. unfortunately we had to walk through that with our poor dogs to return. hope they arent exposed to cancer causing toxins they lick off their paws. we will Not be returning. What is the point of planting pollinator areas where they spray pesticides and herbicides poison
It has a nice amount of shade and a lot of room for the dogs to run; however, there are only a couple of plastic chairs for people to sit down on and there is no water source that I am aware of - so be sure to bring your own bottle(s).
The park set up is very nice. Unfortunately the spongy moths are dripping from the trees and all over everything 😕I certainly dont blame the folks caring for the park. Just be aware if your visiting
My dog enjoyed this park. Hes a small dog so he was kind of upset he couldnt go to the side where the large dogs was (because they have 2 sections large & small) but he enjoyed running around. I will definitely come back again. It was like a Playground for Pups.
Just took my doggy here this morning and she has a great time every single time!
Spacious dog park with small dog and large dog sections. Just a big fenced in field with picnic tables and water bowls. No water source so bring your own. No play equipment. Always seems clean and safe.
Very simple but well done. 2 spacious fenced in areas with walking trails nearby. It can get a bit icy in the winter so bring yak tracks or nice boots.
Large grassy spaces with plenty of seating for owners! Awesome bunch of trees for shade. Didnt see a spigot for water bowl filling, but otherwise a great spot!
Great open space, my dog really loved it! All the other owners were great about watching their dogs closely! A very positive experience! We will definitely become a regular!
Great park. Nice fenced in area for big dogs and small dogs. Owners pick up after the dogs so the place is clean. Nice walking trails around the area too.
Wish there were more small dogs that visit the small dog park. The Large dog area is always full and it is to hectic and overwhelming for my small dog. Lets get more participation from the small dog owners, it is a great park to have in our area, we need to use it more.
There some who still DONT cleanup after their dogs, it would have been better suited for equestrian use because riders always clean after their horses. Sumac plants have allowed to take over much of the area from butterfly habitat areas. There much still to be done.
Great fenced in area for dogs to run, and a few nice trails right behind the park. Friendly owners and dogs. Be sure to bring water to fill up the dog bowls!
I enjoy it and my dogs love going. Sometimes there are some bad seeds. A fenced in large area good for letting even the big boys run around
This dog park was not fenced in 10 years ago when I moved here Im not sure when the fencing took place but its a fantastic Park theres a small dog section and a bigger dog section or a main area we have a great time
The dog park is great but you do have to be cautious of who is there at the time because certain people just let their aggressive dogs run around doing whatever they want.Ive only seen one serious incident in the past couple years but there have been a lot of close calls.
Great size dog park, separate area for small dogs. Im not sure who provides them but there are plenty of tennis balls there for the dogs to play with!
Relax dog park. Doesnt seem crowded whenever I went there. Great place for a dog to run around and socialize. Thanks to all the volunteers who did all the fall and spring clean up.
Park is huge. Separate fenced in area for smaller dogs.
Honestly I just pulled off there to use my phone but its really nice that Saratoga has that space dedicated to dog walking/play.
Separate fenced-in areas for small and large dogs! There are bowls for water and a cooler full of water there too.
Friendly people, friendly dogs. Trails are well kept, everyone picks up after themselves and their dogs. Downside not a lot of parking.
This is a nice big dog park with plenty of room for fun! There are picnic tables and chairs to sit on. My doggos had a lot of fun today.
Pretty clean, the community really keeps it going with water in the dog bowls and extra poop bags are usually there. Friendly people and very cute dogs
This was , a once a week social event for my dog and I till the snow set in...So MANY DOGS at the 4 pm hour most days be warned..a majority of the dog owners are nice ..so common join the FUN !
Great place to take the dog to burn some energy. Sometimes the vibe can get a little weird with some dogs and their inattentive owners. If that happens we usually just end up leaving.
Great place to bring your dog, can get busy on weekends and needs some more parking but people generally just end up parking on the grass.
Very large space for small dogs and an even bigger space for larger dogs (small ones welcome as well). Very clean and well maintained. Kind of hidden off the main drag.
Very large park (3+ acres) with separate areas for big and small dogs.We arrived midday and there were plenty of dogs playing.
Great place to take your dogs. Clean, well kept. Enclosed and separate areas for small dogs and large dogs.
Great place to bring your dog. People and dogs are friendly. Fenced in area and trails are well maintained.
Great place for dogs to hang out
Aside from the occasional unleashed dog in the non-fenced area, this place is a great area to take your dog and meet other owners. Generally very friendly and welcoming.
Good place to bring your dogs, two fenced in areas with safety gates. A little dusty in the summer.
I mean its muddy but its a big space and lots of dogs visit throughout the day. My dog enjoys it very much and I have fun too.
Please dont bring Dogs that r not pet friendly.. Too many times dogs r confused and should not be at park . thanks. Please pick up. Doggie poop too.
I have a golden so we naturally had a great time!
Great dog stop on our road trip. Beautiful wooded area even with snow & lots of dogs ready to play!
A big area for the dogs with trails for leash walking through the woods as well. Many people neglect to clean up after their dog though
Theres dogs here. I can bring my dog. Its pretty spectacular 4/5 stars
Love this park!Friendly pets and people, but last time we were there it was infested with gypsy moth caterpillars.
I love the size of the park. You also meet some nice people there too.
Fully fenced areas for off leash, separate areas for large and small dogs, and a walking trail thru environmentally sensitive area, requires leashed dogs
Very nice...had a separate section for our littler dogs!! Clean and shaded
Saratoga dog park is great. Lots of room for dogs to run freeBring water.
With the exception with the exception of some people the place is overall a great place to bring your dogs and let them run
Remember when this wasnt an official dog park with fences and rules and you just knew about it cause you lived in the area and came to walk your dog through the woods? I miss the old days. Lol
Great park, great dogs, albeit a few owners get handsy with other peoples dogs for normal dog behavior.
I like the new fenced area. Seeing a lot of new people. Nice long trail thats great for my dog.
Good size dog park but not humongous and then that bag or pool
Nice large dog park. Two areas, one for small dogs and one for all dogs.
Pictured is my pup Banjo on the right and his new friend! My pup Banjo and I frequently have a good time here. Usually the park is pretty clean, I love the double gate for security. My only concern is the owners. Ive noticed a huge disregard of keeping attention on ones dog. This makes me extremely anxious. It makes me anxious because, people bring in their already aggressive dog who snaps at other dogs and is territorial, is not playing, is showing signs of distress and the owner goes oh, hes fine. These are signs your dog is NOT OKAY and he is not having a good time. Some dogs do not do well with other dogs in such an environment, and thats okay. But please, if your dog is already distressed and hiding, snarling, showing teeth, ears down, tail tucked between their legs or attacking and antagonizing other dogs YOU NEED TO LEAVE. Do not create a risky situation for other dogs because your dog has not been socialized/trained properly or does not do well in such situations. I do not like that owners use the park as a reason to just sit down and not have to watch their dog. That is not why you should come to the dog park, to get a break from your dog. There is never a break from being a dog owner. My dog can be too nosey and I realize that and Im there to recall him as soon as I see hes getting too close to a dog that does not want him nearby. Thats how it should be, everyone needs to be proactive and not reactive. Believe me, most dogs and owners are extremely good and I can tell the dog has been raised and trained amazingly. And Ive made sure if there is any scuffles or fights my dog knows to not go near them, nor is my dog ever an angry pup hahaha hed love and play with anyone or anything. But there are definitely the usuals that still come and act like nothing is wrong. A man with his Rottweiler just today allowed their dog to attack other helpless dogs, mounted them, and the man wouldnt even get up to get his Rottweiler, he actually laughed when it happened and yelled dont worry my dog is fine as his 110-130 ib Rottweiler is snarling, showing teeth, terrorizing this dog underneath a bench whos trying to get away, as his Rottweiler is trying to dominate the dog and hurt him, as the other dog yelps helplessly while the yelping, hurt dogs owner is trying to keep both dogs away from each other and the Rottweilers owner finally gets up (as if hes been inconvenienced and slowly, casually walks over, no care). This is just todays situation I saw. It happened so many times to so many different dogs, this man and his Rottweiler forced 7 people with their dogs to leave because they didnt want their dogs to be harrassed any more. When your dog is the problem you NEED TO LEAVE. You and your dog do not own the park, this Rottweiler was attacking dogs right at the gate as they were trying to enter the park! And this man was on the other side of the park, laughing, didnt care. Im not kidding, this man wiped the whole park til it was empty. If you see this man, he wore a fishermen hat with his Rottweiler, cut tail, very large. Stay far away. I talked to other Park goers that told me he frequents here a lot and does not care or watch his dog and lets the Rottweiler attack other dogs. This man needs to be banned. I believe its happened so often this Rottweiler probably thinks the park is his territory and will snap at any dog that enters his domain because this man has not trained this dog any differently or told him NO or stopped him when he does antagonize and attack other helpless dogs that are not anywhere near him. Sorry for the essay, but I feel everyone needs to be aware and watch out. For yours and your dogs safety.
Small dogs under 25 lbs can walk right through the bars of the small dog park. Place is useless.
First time there with a doggie friend; they both had a wonderful time. Nice, responsible visitors.
Great park! My boy Tank gets so excited when when we get close he knows its play time😃
A great spot for the pups! Bring your own water and poop bags!!
Nice mix of people and dogs. 2 sections for dogs under 30lbs and dogs over 30lbs.
My dog is still getting used to the other dogs, but its so nice to have a space like this in town.
Huge park, friendly people.
Not nicely keptDead grass mostly dirt limited parking.
Great people and great dogs. Bring poop bags and bottled water as there is no running water
Alot of room for the dogs to run around. Nice ppl there!
Huge, well-maintained dog park. Great place to run the pups!
Love how big it is.
Love this place. My dog loves being able to run around and play. Highly recommended.
Great park just make sure you bring water and poop bags
Lots of room for dogs to run off leash. Plenty of parking.
I love the town it is beautifulI like the friendly business ownersAnd pet friendly
The walk through the was good but several trees are down and across the path
Well designed and not usually crowded sections for large and small dogs
Nice place to get the pooch outdoors and have some fun right here in beautiful Saratoga!
Fence in and very nice setting. Lots of trails for the dogs Rome. 🐕
Had a good time notary dogs there but fun
Awesome place to bring your dog to socialize and run around.
Nice place to take your dogs to play with other dogs or go for a walk
Great park, friendly people and dogs. Fenced in.
If I lived closer I would bring my dog here every chance I got!
Pooch loves running free playing with her frisbee and balls.
The park is very large with plenty of space for dogs and people socialize. Parking lot is small. This is not much of a problem in the winter because my dog cant be exposed to cold weather for long periods. But I hope when the snow melts Ill be able to walk to the park, so I dont need to stress about the parking. This park would be really cool if there was like a jungle-gym for the dogs to play around.
Well maintained. No source of water.
Somewhat concerned that dogs arent cleared for being up to date for rabies etc.
Out playing pokemon n its a decent dog park
It was a fairly busy fenced in park. Both large and small area.
Very peaceful, plenty of room for my beagles do get rid of some of their pent up energy. Love that there is alot of shade. I would suggest maybe another 1 or 2 benches for owners to relax. Other than that its my favorite dog park to bring the pups.
My 2 wieners had a blast!
Enclosed with a big and small dog side, clean and nice
Water is available for the dogs, and there are separate enclosures for smaller dogs and large dogs. Lots of space for the dogs to run.
People and doggos are super friendly here!
Good place to let your dog hairs down.
This is a great and well maintained dog park. And its free! However there is limited parking and people used to park on the grass. But it seems the town has put up signs telling people not to park on the grass. If these signs stay then there definitely is not enough parking for people during peak hours.
To many liberal hipsters that being their extremely small dogs into the large dog pen then get angry with the large dog owners of something happens.
Other dogs were very aggressive to my dog. I was not happy
Really lovely and spacious park.
This must be the largest dog park weve ever visited. Plenty of trees and shade as well as chairs for the human visitors. I do wish people would clean up after their dogs better. Plenty of friendly dogs to play with even in the middle of a hot day.
Dogs love going here, everyone is friendly.
Good place for your fur buddy to meet a new friend
Its a great place to bring your best friend(s). The people and dogs are friendly and there are trees to shade both, if necessary, on hot sunny days. Please help to keep it clean.
There are dogs here. I like dogs. I have a dog. He likes dogs. We both like coming here for the dogs.
We have a rescue dog and this is a halfway point for us to go so he can meet up and play with his brothers and sisters. All 6 of them.
Too muddy and caterpillar s were so bad u couldnt sit on the bench
Very nice place to meet new dog friends...
Great place to bring your dog...two separate sections one for large dogs..one for small.
Great place for dogs to run and play.
It was good 👍 it does have a lot of dogs to play with.
Very well keep...nice place to walk your dog or let them run
Everyone that comes here is friendly and dogs are usually well behaved.
2 Parks, 1 for small dogs, 1 for large dogs. Good place to let your dogs run.
Our dogs love going here and play with others dogs!
Open and safe place for our family to play
Great spot for the dogs to play.
Lit even when theres no cute dogs to pet
Great place. Good dogs
Absolutely beautiful and clean.
Introducing one dog to the new puppy. Neutral site.
Friendly people happy dogs
It is a nice dog park, a little muddy when the snow and ice melts but large in size and most of the dogs there get along well with others.
Many cute dogs. Very quality experience
Terrible... not the dogs but their owners!!!!
Large park with tables to sit while dogs play. Large trees for shade!
Great place to socialize with dogs and people
A very friendly place, for dogs and people
Awesome dog park

Great fenced dog park.
Not an actual dog park. Not fenced in.
Nice people and a lot of friendly dogs
I love just watching the enjoyment here
Not as nice as the Greenfield dog park, but more people and always another dog to play with.
Needs some improvement but ok for what it is
Friendly and a chance for my little guy to run
Nice place to meet new friends
