Chow Bella Saratoga

Chow Bella is our favorite place for grooming and playing! We have two doodles and they do the absolute best doodle grooming. Our older dog is pretty skittish and Brooke is so kind and patient with her. Not only are the professional grooming services incredible, but there’s also a self washing station to easily keep your pups clean between groomings.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Mandy’s grooming experience at Chow Bella! We have a giant breed, special needs dog, and Mandy treats him like a king every time he gets groomed. He leaves looking great and feeling loved each time :)

I went there twice with my elderly Shih. Never again. The 1st time they did a chop job…uneven, and tufts of longer hair left all over body and face. I gave them one more try. The 2nd time (2 different groomers), they cut his beautiful plume tail down to no hair at all and again, left long and short tufts of hair. This was a worse chop job than the first time! I had given instructions on the tail to “shape only”). Also there is a black circular area about the size of a quarter on his face, left of his nose, where it looks as though he was shaved, almost down to the skin and the hot razor burned him!!Over $90 each time (with tip) for this????

I highly recommend Chow Bella to any dog owner in the Saratoga Springs area! My dog is groomed here regularly and the staff is knowledgable, friendly and always on time with our appointments. The owner is so lovely and the entire space is welcoming for your dogs, from being able to shop for products to stay and play at the indoor dog park! Overall, always a pleasant interaction and a great grooming experience for my dog.

Ive been bringing my lab there for the last year or so and they always do a great job grooming him.

We LOVE it here. My puppy has so much fun with her friends. I cant even say that word at home without her going crazy! She now knows the drive and as soon as I pull up she starts crying and pulls me inside. We highly recommend Chow Bella.

Honestly not a great first experience and likely won’t return. Understanding of the fact that they’re a small business, when you walk in, it’s relatively barebones. Most shelving was empty, lots of products out of stock, and selection of what they carried was nominal at best. We were really excited to try the dog park m, especially since it was touted to be climate controlled and it was a warm day…climate controlled is a VERY loose term for the building. It had two garage doors open in the back and a few industrial fans on but the building itself was super warm. The girl at the desk did a great job explaining the policies then led us in at which point one of *her* dogs bit my dogs leg, enough that he pulled it up and didn’t want to put it back down for a few moments. The girl said that was just her dogs way of playing and took him out for a few minutes to get our dog acclimated. He was the only dog in the area so I was trying to engage him with familiar toys but he was definitely put off by the initially experience. When he body language relaxed, the main girl out her poodle back in with us and it b-lined right to our dog and started going at his leg again. She laugh it off as a “well I guess he just doesn’t like him!” and removed her dog from the play area. Our dog didn’t loosen up much after that - he sat in the outdoor fenced area between the garage door and the staff parking until I physically picked him up to leave. As we were leaving another dog showed up and the staff said he was their nicest player and to give it one more shot and while our dogs body language was much more relaxed he has ZERO interest in remaining there. On our way out I asked if they had something for dogs who pull on walks and a leash, they tried to sell me on a missized harness (another staff member intervened as I was checking out and said not to purchase it because it would cause potential harm) and the leash purchased has already mostly fallen apart. Overall definitely a missed opportunity for us because of the double standard with poor behavior of staffs dogs (and their preferential treatment since they’re staff dogs)

Great place to have your dog groomed. Emily was a fantastic groomer. The place is clean and well organized. Our standard poodle (Chessy) is almost 2 1/2 years old and has been groomed many times; never as well done as he received here. This is now our go-to place.

We love Chow Bella! Weve gone to the indoor dog park hours, which is especially useful in the winter. We attended their Family Dog Foundations class with our 3 year old rescue. We were thrilled to see that Chow Bella uses a positive reinforcement based training approach and that was the deciding factor for us on where to train. The training courses are a fun way for you and your family to do something special with your dog. It helped us build a stronger bond with our pup. The facility is clean and well-kept and they have lots of special treats and products for sale that you cant get at your regular pet store. We will be signing up for the Family Dog Foundations Intermediate course soon!

We always stop in for a nail trim and to pick out new treats. Great place to stay and play (especially when my pup doesn’t want to be out if it’s cold and rainy). Love ChowBella!

Always a great experience at Chow Bella. Our dog, Boca, loves their Friday doggy daycare and always comes home ready for a nap. Plus their training programs are affordable and effective.

Our vet recommended this grooming salon to us and I could not have been more happy with the service we received! They are so kind and wonderful. Our dog has anxiety from a dog attack and they allowed her to take breaks and get comfortable. I have never seen our labradoodle come out of the groomer looking so beautiful! She shined, highly recommend 😊

I took my 1-year-old Labradoodle for his first ever grooming appointment at Chow Bella and had an amazing experience! I was very nervous as this was his first time being groomed, but the owner and staff assured me he would be well taken care of and he certainly was. Overall, the service was amazing and I felt very at ease after the experience. Highly recommend this place for dog grooming, shopping for accessories or an indoor play date!

Great indoor place for pups to make friends and play. I really appreciate the small dog specific times for our little one. Surprised how clean and well kept everything is. The owner clearly had a passion for dogs and their well-being. Highly recommend!

I am so happy I discovered Chow Bella! My German Shepherd Dog, Daniel, was groomed yesterday and I am incredibly pleased with the groomer and the owner. Both were extremely friendly.And not only did Daniel receive excellent grooming, but he was allowed to play with the groomers Doodle puppy afterwards!

We were visiting family in Saratoga this winter and decided to check out Chow Bellas indoor dog park for our dog! He had the best time running around with all of the other dogs. The staff was amazing. We would absolutely recommend Chow Bella and will be certain to go back there on our next visit to Saratoga!

A great place to bring a dog for grooming! The groomers are very interested in how YOU want your dog groomed. They are expert at what they do!

Worst experience ever! Last year it was great but my groomer moved. They hired a new manager who more than doubled their prices. I took both my husky’s there. The manager said because they were working on their under coat and did not want to irritate them that I needed to bring them back to finish which was included in the price. I brought them back a couple days later and she had them there for 10 minutes and I am not sure if she did anything but she said that my youngest needed to come back for another full grooming. I brought her back a few days later only to find out the manager was a no show and the owner had no idea she was not coming in and let me stand at the front for 20 minutes. So basically I missed an hour and 1/2 of work only to leave with my pup not groomed with no apology or future appointment and no follow up call. Don’t bother wasting your time or money. The new manager is going to run that place in the ground and the owner does not have a clue!

I decided today to pop into Chow Bella for the first time. I was looking for a dog food that would be good for my senior dog which would help with brain function. Purina Bright Mind was recommended by my vet, but Im not sold completely on getting that one. I walked in and looked through the small selection of food that is there. The girl behind the checkout was engrossed in her cell phone and only looked at me when I walked over and asked if they had the Purina brand. She very snottily replied we dont carry Purina! That is fine but she could have suggested an alternative, or took more than a few seconds in trying to keep me as a customer! Couldnt take her eyes away from her cell phone, I suppose.I was planning to go there for other services, but I wont go back again. I felt like a nuisance and not a welcome customer.

My sister’s dog was in town for a few days and decided to run through a pond! Extra stinky! I called Chow and let them know, and they were able to work it out and fit him in last minute!(saved me an earful!) he came out clean and happy, and she was even playing ball with him when I arrived.Thank you so much for the help and wonderful service! Will be recommending around now.

My dog loves it here. She’s delighted to play with her friends off leash. We’ve gotten some nice quality toys and a really cute Halloween costume in addition to her favorite food. The grooming has been very reasonable and although my dog can be skittish she really likes this groomer

Had a blast! Every time we get out of the car my dog gets super excited and pulls me to the front door! Lots of great treats and tons of space for him to run around and play. The owner is very nice and its clearly a dog loving place!

Called and made appointment, got confirmation email. Got a call over two weeks later saying no one put my appointment in the books even though I got a confirmation email. Had to make another appointment, told them my dog was quite matted and to just shave him and that he struggled with his paws being touched. explained that everywhere else was booked for months which is why he would have mats. Was told that was fine. Brought him in today for his appt. and he was turned away because of the mats that I had mentioned weeks earlier and that he would give them too many problems with his paws even though they did not even try. Basically told me to bring him somewhere else just to get shaved. How can you say you’re a groomer but not be able to handle mats? Lazy. Disappointed and will not try to return.

We love Chow Bella! Teva gets to socialize and make new pup friends, and we’ve met lovely people with whom we share our love and commitment to our pets. So grateful to have this service!

The grooming was extremely overpriced, and they did a horrible job trimming my labradoodles face. I asked for the puppy cut around the face and thats not what I got.The hair around her face and ears wasnt even dry when I picked her up. I did the clean up service with nail trim, and it was $70, which is how much a full groom costs at other groomers around the area. Will never go back.

Our golden retriever, Louie, loves his grooming time with Mandy!!! Its the only place we will take our dogs for their baths. The owner and the manager are so friendly too.

Took my boys for grooming and the staff was great with them. Big facility . If you are looking for an indoor spot to let your dogs play, this is the place.

My girls love playing here. Bonus is they dont get dirty either like they would at an outdoor park. Everyone who comes with their dogs is super nice and responsible and very welcoming and understanding for newcomers.

I had my dog groomed here twice, and Nikki did an outstanding job! She used the prescription shampoo he needs and did what I asked. Super nice, Ill go here again.

Owner is a total wack job. Used a ton of her 1st hired employees to get her business up and running and made to many promises that she didn’t keep. Over priced retail section and if you don’t agree with her opinion your wrong. Doesn’t follow many safety protocols for COVID let alone regular regulations. This place is a mess don’t bother with it. Oh to top it off she advertises other people’s work! One last thing her current groomer is very unexperienced huge accident waiting to happen!

My dog gets so excited when she goes there. She has lots of fun with the other dogs. She comes home and sleeps for a few hours! The staff are very helpful and dedicated. I highly recommend this dog park.

Many friendly people their at small dog hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Was ir in pressed I was it greated at all.and the cashier lady was to busy on her phone and a nother worker was walking a dog down the hallway after taking a bath and was going in a nother room to get dry and the dog was lookin at me and when the woman was bringing the dog in that room she jerk there leash rude Like . I would never bring my dog there. People are rude

Great place! A friend said how this place has self wash tubs to use to clean doggies! Perfect for my dog I have washed there along with my parents 2 doggies.

Wonderful indoor dog park went for a poodle meet up and it was a wonderful environment lots of space for the dogs to play and the people are very nice

MY GOLDEN LOOKS TERRIBLE. I HAVE HAD GOLDENS FOR FORTY YEARS. MANAGER TOLD ME THAT IS HOW GOLDENS LOOK AND THEY DO NOT CUT GOLDENS HAIR. A QUICK GOOGLE SEARCH SHOWED 5 TYPES OF GOLDEN CUTS. IT LOOKS LIKE THE GROOMER GOT A CALL, STOPPED AND FORGOT TO FINISH. THE EARS LOOK BAD, THE FEET LOOK BAD. I WENT BACK TO COMPLAIN AND WAS INSULTED. I have been here a half dozen times and never had a problem until today. I will never go back. Just the fact I was not pleased they should have tried to work it out with us. Poor customer service.

Very pleased with the staff and services! They were so patient and kind to Luckys special needs as a recent adopted dog. Lucky had a traumatic past and needs lots of patience and is slow to warm to people. He was very happy with Mandy immediately, but she knew to go slow w the introduction and discussed that they would cater the grooming to Luckys pace. Lucky did well and looks and smells amazing! He was a very happy boy when picking him up and he was so soft and shiny. I cant stop petting his super sift and shiny fur!!A+++ service and highly recommended this place for dogs with special considerations.We will be repeat customers for grooming and eventually play visits when he is ready.

I normally bring my dogs to the vet for nail trims but this place was closer. I stopped in one day and spoke with Marijo who was very nice and explained the process. I made my appointment online after entering my dogs info. Britney was great and Amanda very nice too. The prices are reasonable and they accomodated me early too. Will go back again.

Chow Bella is the happiest place on earth! The dogs have so much fun and so do the people.

Need a doggy diapers for a dog in heat, They do not carry them. It seems they only carry leashes toys and food

No price like it in Sarartoga. Dog can run around get some excercis and I can stay dry and warm.

Love this place. Used them for training classes and they helped tremendously. Continue to use them for regular grooming. Quick and accommodating

Stephanie is amazing! My dog is very antisocial but with patience, and pride in her work, she got Zoey to look so cute. My new go to place in the future!
