We searched around for the perfect fit for training of our 12 week old brother and sister GSD puppies. Mike responded promptly and with his vast knowledge of dogs (and particularly GSD) we knew we had found the perfect fit.K9 Werks with Mike and Laurie worked with both puppies and their unique individual personalities, along with ours. Together we learned the behaviors of our puppies, how to respond and react to each of them. K9 Werks created a flexible schedule that worked with our busy lives. We are thankful and appreciative to have found someone who genuinely cares for our dogs the way we do. We have already recommended K9 Werks to friends and family and will continue! We look forward to working with K9 Werks again.

We had the best experience at K9 Werks! We got to do individual sessions one on one and sessions with other dogs which helped a ton! After working with Mike for just a few weeks, Sunny can now walk on a loose leash and has passed her Canine Good Citizen evaluation! I highly reccomend K9 Werks to anyone who has a dog! Sunny went from not being able to go through any of the courses to being able to do the courses without using treats! Mike always answered any questions we had and gave us lots of advice!

After my dog had an unsavory experience with another dog it left her with some dog reactivity. After working with Mike she can now walk and be near other dogs again. Shes also learned some awesome agility skills and we passed our akc rally Novice first course.He really cares for the dogs he cares for, very knowledgeable, willing to adapt and listen to your concerns. He also will raise your confidence in yourself to be a strong handler. Strongly recommend!

We found Mike online when we needed help with our puppy. Gigi was horrible to walk with, and insisted on dragging us down the street like the comic strip dog, Marmaduke. We needed professional help and that was exactly what we received with Mike. Mike was extremely flexible, kind, and patient with both me, and my dog. He taught Gigi, in some few short weeks, to walk nicely on the leash, follow commands, and to overall behave positively. His training is consistent and easy to follow. He gave helpful homework and made weekly videos to educate us on what we were doing right, and what we needed to do better with. Gigi improved drastically and she even passed the Canine Good Citizen test! My family and my dog love Mike. His services were invaluable and his knowledge expansive. We would highly recommend Mike and K9 Werks. He’s the best!

Excellent dog training experience. Mike is friendly, very patient with the dogs and very informative. I would highly recommend his services. Training takes place in different locations getting the dog acclimated to different environments which works well for socializing the dog. Mike teaches you what you need to know to continue good behavior in your dog.

Mike was great to work with. Very flexible both with schedules and with curriculum which was great, and the only way that both my husband and I were able to attend every session instead of just one of us, which allowed us to be more consistent with the training. Springsteen started as a sweet dog who shied away from strangers and pulled on every walk, and left as a more more confident dog who only sometimes pulls on a walk. And of course he’s still sweet. K9 Werks was recommended to us by a friend and we were pleased with the service. We have 2 rescue dogs that are not exactly well behaved and my wife wanted to gain confidence walking them. Mike was a great teacher for Buster and Emmett as well as us! The dogs had sessions on their own and other times we had time with either dog and Mike. Mike was very flexible with the lessons. We are each confidently walking our dogs now after working with K9 Werks and Mike.

We had an incredible experience working with Mike. Our dog, Lucy, came from a terrible hoarding situation in the South. She was rescued and brought to Upstate New York to find her forever family. While in foster care, she was re-homed several times as she had behaviors that were difficult to manage. When we adopted her, she was a timid and scared dog. Mike took the time to talk with us so he thoroughly understood Lucy’s issues. He designed a program that helped build Lucy’s confidence while teaching her basic skills such as “sit, down and stay”. She learned to walk on a loose leash and was able to participate in “pack walks” and group training sessions.Mike goes above and beyond to make sure you and your dog have a successful experience. We are grateful to Mike for all he has done to help Lucy be a “happy and well adjusted” member of our family!

K9 Werks was a tremendous success for our rottie pup. Mike is great! Flexible schedules and one on one time. Couldnt say enough good things about his training program. Ive sent 2 other dog owners to him as well and they are both very please with thier progress/results! A+++

Mike has a gentle touch with dogs. He helped me and my large mutt to gain confidence. I was afraid to walk my dog alone as he has the ability to pull me to the ground if he runs. Now my dog pays attention to me and doesn’t pull on walks. I was very pleased with the training Mike provided. Mike was generous and flexible with his time, as well.

Mike was so patient with me and my dog Callie! He helped both of us learn that training can be fun, and he always went above and beyond to make sure that I was getting what I needed and wanted from each session. I learned so much from him and can’t say enough good things!

K9 Werks is owned and operated by Mike Behr. I have a 3 year old Cavapoo named Harper. My daughter suggested I take Harper to training due to her losing mental control when she saw people or animals while out and about. Harper’s groomer recommended we contact Mike. One of the best referrals possible. She and I went to 12 sessions. It made a world of difference. The trust and connection between she and I evolved over the time. She now responds to me in a much more positive manner. She loves the commands and performing but it’s the connection that makes it work. Some sessions were in public places around dogs and/or people. Harper even passed her AKC Good Citizens designation. I was nervous about it because there were about 8 dogs and owners going through the tests in the same location. She was super. We continue to practice and keep our bond. I strongly recommend Mike for any dog training. ♥️🐶

Mike is great, our dog loved the training, she learned so fast, and it was fun.

My vet recommended K9 Werks when my Red Heeler puppy started exhibiting guarding behaviors. Mike is very knowledgable and generous. He was always available if I had questions outside of our training sessions. Hatties general obedience and possession aggression issues have improved since working with K9 Werks. Mike provided one-on-one reward-based training at a reasonable price!
