Highly recommend Dirty Dogs By Liz Grooming! We have been using this groomer every 6 weeks for years after moving from NYC. My dog Bella is a Pomeranian Mix with lots of hair! She always comes out looking wonderful! You can tell Liz really love animals and is very talented with all types of grooming techniques and styles. We just added a Mini Goldendoodle to our family and immediately brought him to Liz! This breed tends to get matted hair very easily, so we are working on keeping him brushed, getting him use to the grooming in general and scheduling every 4/6 week visits to keep his hair beautiful. The shop is clean inside and everyone was so nice and accommodating. Wonderful communication always start to finish. I never have to worry about my animals leaving them there for their haircuts. I Definitely recommend for anyone who is in the market for a new groomer!

When I got my first dog, I decided to use Dirty Dog as our groomer. Liz groomed my family dog (a small, previously trained dog) and I had a lot of respect for how accommodating she was with him. My current puppy is a doodle that has grown to be 80+ lbs. While he was definitely fussy with grooming early on, he is a puppy and doesn’t have an aggressive bone in him. Every person he’s met, including his current groomer, has said nothing but great things about him. Everyone except Liz.He had gotten 2 bath & brushes to get familiar with Liz. Then came his first grooming. Liz asked us to come in 2 hours early the day of the appointment. After rushing to drop him off, I reached out three times to check up on him, never receiving any response. 6 hours later I finally received a text from her saying he was ready for pickup. Given the lack of updates, I assumed everything went well. I was wrong.When I walked in, I was blind sided by Liz’s behavior. She was extremely rude to me, spoke horribly about my dog, and explained how she used aggression to get him to cooperate. First off, she legitimately called my dog a “dick” over 20 times within a 5-10 minute conversation. I know this because I was so shocked by her calling my 7 month old puppy a dick that I started counting. She said he was not cooperating so she started using aggression to get him to behave (anyone that knows anything about dogs knows this is an awful thing to do, especially to a puppy). She described in detail how she yelled at him, “got up in his face” to intimidate him, and was banging on the grooming table. She told me “he needs an Alpha in his life” and that I needed to be more aggressive with him to get him to behave.This obviously left me terrified. I had no idea what I was going to do about grooming my puppy, but I knew I was never going back to Dirty Dog. I ended up bringing him to another groomer a couple months later. They said nothing but good things about my dog. They said he was extremely kind and loving towards their staff and that he was very well behaved during grooming (although he wasn’t a fan of having his tail shaved). We have now used them twice and my suspicions about Dirty Dog have been confirmed. They do not know what they are doing, and they definitely do not know how to handle bigger dogs. I have never left a negative review, and I almost did not leave this one. However, I feel like I need to share this experience to save other puppies from a bad grooming experience, which could potentially lead to lifelong fear while being groomed. I am so thankful that this did not leave a lasting impression on my dog, and that he loves his current groomers.I strongly urge you to consider any other option for your groomer. The things I described here are just what she told me. I have no idea what happens behind closed doors here. I have no idea if this is regular behavior for her and her staff, but this was extremely unprofessional and a harsh experience for my young puppy.

Best groomer in Saratoga County! Liz and her team do an amazing job! My wife and I are so happy we found this shop after having the worst/most unprofessional job done by a local groomer near by. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our dog!

I have a shy/timid dog and he adores all of the girls that work here, which is such a testament to who they are! So sweet. Always a pleasant experience and the best grooming job!

Liz was awesome! I brought a 14 year old husky mix who hadn’t gotten a groom in years and she looks gorgeous. Liz was patient with her, we came in for consultation prior to ensure she was comfortable. Great value and great quality! Professional service, very responsive, would highly recommend.

I brought two dogs in to be groomed by Liz. My 2 year old Beagle had been to Liz before and she did a great job with his dry skin.This time I also brought a mix hound who had never seen a groomer before. This dog is usually very cautious of people, but the way Liz handled her was amazing. Calm and patient with both of them.Good rates as well. The dogs came out smelling so good, nails trimmed and very happy. I recommend Liz over and over again.

Liz is amazing at what she does. My Maltese is very lovable but also a little crazy and she loves Liz. She always leaves the salon looking beautiful, smelling good and HAPPY. Liz was amazing with my new puppies. They are only 6 month old goldendoodles and have never had a haircut due to quarantine. She was so great with them and went above and beyond with my crazy pups. Will definitely be returning customers!

Liz is fabulous! I would not trust my 3 year old German Shepherd Dog with just anyone- she has been his groomer since he was a puppy. He absolutely loves her and loves going inside! I would highly recommend Liz.

Liz did an amazing job with our Shih Tzu and Morkie! We’ve adopted them and had them each for a year now and this is the best haircut they’ve had! We’ve taking them to several places down in Florida where we live and they’ve been ok. However, when we came up here to NY, Liz was recommended to me and my wife said she did the best job! My wife is very particular too with the cuts and loves to dress them up. Liz is also very loving with the dogs. Liz is the only person we will ever take our golden retrievers to! We’ve lived all over the country and have had some pretty terrible grooming experiences. Liz’s love for animals, Patience, and skill is obvious the second you walk into her door. She’s even helped with some of the not so great dog shenanigans-like our four legged friends rolling in deer or goose poop, rolling in the mud, or the absolute worst.....skunk spray. They always look like a million bucks when we pick them up. Best groomer in Saratoga for sure!

I brought my dog into Dirty Dogs for the first time today and had a great experience. I habe heard a lot of great things about Dirty Dogs and I found them to be true! Friendly staff and ready for us at our appointment time. Our groomer was very sweet with my attention loving pooch and did a beautiful job brushing her out and trimming up her fluffy coat just enough to make her look neat but leaving her looking very much herself! We’ll definitely be booking again.

Liz has groomed my Australian Shepherd and he came out fully clean and completely brushed out, AND was not traumatized. She was also able to cut my other dog’s nails, who hates having her nails cut. I need to get back to Liz with my dogs soon.Every time I have gone, I was able to easily park right next to the door. No need to drive all around searching for parking.

This is the only groomer my Polish Lowland Sheepdog has ever seen and we will not go to another as long as Dirty Dog is here! We were careful to find a groomer that could properly handle her long hair. My dog is not friendly to strangers, but Dirty Dog (and previously Brown Dog) always had good reports for her so she must like them. She always smells nice and looks great when we get her back.

Liz is by far the best groomer around. If I tried to groom my dog myself, he’d probably bite me, but every time I pick him up from Liz, she tells me what a good boy he was! If you’re having trouble with your dog and grooming, Liz is your gal. She has a way with them that you just have to see for yourself.

When I first got my Pomeranian I called around to every groomer in this area and everyone denied grooming Max because of his breed. They didn’t want to mess up his coat. Liz immediately said she was up for hand cutting his hair and recognized my concerns. I have been going to her for 7 years now. My family uses her and most of my friends. Max is my child and I am so blessed that I found someone I feel so comfortable leaving him with. I couldn’t have asked for a better blessing!!! Highly recommend.

Liz is the absolute best!!! She took the time to get to know my dog Alexa prior to grooming her because Alexa was having attachment issues. Now we having absolutely no problems...her skills are impeccable!!! We love Liz!! Lol She ROCKS!!!

They squeezed my son in on short notice so he could be groomed before being neutered, which was unexpected but much appreciated. She did a great job preserving his original look without issues. The place felt clean and the workspace appeared safe. Definitely give them a shot if youre on the fence.
