Canine Court

A great resource in Van Cortland that has not been maintained at all. Truly a shame. Broken gates, tall weeds, broken glass. Now it needs more than standard maintenance- it needs renovation.

There are 2 lots one with obstacles which dogs love. My little man had fun. There were other dog, they were big. My dog interacted with them well. The second lot is empty but need to be more taken care of. The grass is hi and there was a small hole by the bench. Sometimes some dogs wont interact well with others and it will be good to take the dog to the other lot. But its a good place.

Sadly poorly maintained. Signs indicate locals are volunteering to clean it up as the park crew doesnt do it themselves.

Canine Court used to be a great dog park. Over the last few years it has not been well kept and both the grounds and the obstacles in the park have deteriorated. I even saw hyperdermic needles by the park months ago and had to contact park services to clean it up. Sadly I wish this park was better kept, but unfortunately it is not. That being said you will find many dogs in the park so use caution and talk to the owners because some dogs are friendly and others are not. Van Courtland Park overall is a great place to walk your dog. There are many trails to walk on. Just make sure to watch out for ticks, inspect your dog every time you visit and enjoy the park! Its a beautiful location.

This is the first dog park. For real there is a sign there with the story. It is huge. Has two separate areas for small dogs. Grass covered with agility equipment no less. Shaded by weeping willows its very pleasant.

Theres plenty of space for the dogs to run around. After a recent visit, we found ten ticks between two dogs. Please check the dogs and yourselves for ticks. We think the tall grass is where the ticks got onto the dogs.

Used to love taking my dog to this dog park. But it is so ugly now. High grass everywhere it looks like an abandoned park.

Would be a nice spot if it were cleaner people dont clean up after their dogs...gates are not that secure either.

My dog loves coming here. Spacious with enough room for him to play catch, make new friends or explore on his own.

Great amount of space for the dogs and it is broken down into two sections. There is also a great sense of community here.

Clean dog park with some agility equipment. Friendly people and dogs. Will visit again.

Its okay. Some play activities. Shade. Small dog enclosure. Larger enclosure for running and ball throwing.
