Soundview Park Dog Run

We started coming here because the Dog run on Pelham Pkwy has become overcrowded. People are busy on their phones or socializing and do not regulate/watch their dogs. We come here because theyre usually empty. Our boys can run without fear of being attacked. The only complaint is that it doesnt get maintained well. People do not clean up after their dogs, causing it to smell and attract lots of flies. The greenery is completely overgrown. Some of the plants arent dog friendly. Please take better care of this place.

Entrance to Soundview Park very clean, public bathrooms located across from the Dog Run entrance . Gated area for the dog run has two separate spaces divided by a fence. Water tap in-between the two gates if you forgot to bring water for your furry friend. Park has benches inside the Dog Run area so you can sit , while your furry friend can run free. Unfortunately the Dog run was dirty during our visit today, not everyone clean up after there dog.

This little dog park is adorable for your four legged buddy. It has two separate areas good for keeping the dogs apart if need be.

I come to this dog park often. My dog loves it and she’s able to have fun off leash my only concerns are 1. Some people do not clean up after their dogs which is not only disgusting but unhealthy for everyone. 2. I wish the space was bigger there’s more than enough room to make it bigger so I don’t see why they couldn’t provide a bigger space especially for big dogs. 3. There is absolutely NO shade for our dogs in the summer time. I have a husky and shade would be beneficial for her breed as well as us owners that are out there with them.

People are rowdy and loud, not a friendly environment. Everyone looks like they are ready to fight if looked at.

The park itself has some great walking trails, places to picnic.. on the water areas and sport activities. The issues I found were that the dark run is all sand, small and no shade whatsoever for my pup to chill out in. Additionally, this park tends to be very littered with leafy behind trash, food, even peoples belongings. I always check an area before I sit with my pup so theres nothing for him to that poses a danger (ex:chicken bones)

The dog park is quite small, and most owners do not clean up after their dogs. There are also a lot of bugs flying around. Yet, the people that bring their dogs there are very friendly and the dogs get along fine! Wish the space was larger and cleaner for our dogs.

Nice, clean dog run. Its on the small side, but my pup still loved it. When we went there was a ton of bugs flying around. Im not sure if its always like that or if it was just the time of day we went (a little before sunset). We had to leave because the bugs started to land on my dog and they were bothering her. I would go back to check it out again. Even if you dont stay at the dog run long, its nice walking through the park.

Ive been to other dog parks, but this particular one looks more like a place for small children.A dog park should be at least an area for the dogs to run around.

I was participating in the Breast Cancer Walk with the Evergreen Gardens Tenants Association, so I only watched the dogs in passing. I think its great that Soundview has such a good park that it includes a dog walk! There were about 4-5 dogs and they were running around playing with each other, really having a fun, sociable time!

Just ok. Not very large for big dogs. Found old poop around the run, so, some dog owners who come here arent very clean. No obstacles, ramps, pool, or any shade of any kind for either the dogs or pet parents. Its mostly gravel. Has two seperate runs, both are small in my opinion.

After playing softball hanging with my teammates makes it worthwhile.

I Went to the dog park with my shitzu and the fence had a big gap on the side of the gate and underneath and my dog got out I had to call 311 to get somebody out there to fix it

First timer and its was great, Sunday morning not at all crowded it. starts getting crowded from1:00 or 3 pmFriendly loved it

Such a beautiful place they have a gate that separates the little dogs from the big dogs. But they can still communicate its so cute

Nice enough space but there’s never any other dogs and the park needs to be cleaner.

Nice place for the dogs to play off the leash. Could be a bit cleaner and the grass needs to be cut.

I love how a park department worker. came in the gate to ask me about my dog. but didnt clean it

Get there early lots of people for a good spot.

By the sprinklers is the best spot for a barbecue...the area by Boyton & Lafayette isnt too bad either.
