Absolutely love this place. Its the quality for me!!! The groomers take their time to get to know your dog! They make them comfortable with the groomers and process. My pup came out smelling so wonderful and looking brand new. Support this local groomer, its worth it!!!

Such a great experience!! The staff were all amazing and the cut was perfect! I hadnt gotten my dog groomed in months so he was severely matted. They kept him for a while and when I picked him up he was happy and looked amazing! This was my first time going and I will be returning!

This review is bittersweet because they did groom him nicely here hair cut wise. His groomer Joelissa had told me a comment that made me triggered as a dog mom, mind you this woman has been grooming for 20 years+ . She told me whenever my dog gets nippy she would “raise/lift” her hand up at my dog to place FEAR into him so he could respect her, but never hit him which was hard for me to believe .. which is beyond unprofessional and creates behavioral problems in dogs which I’ve been experiencing lately, which made me worry about possible dog abuse occuring . She never brushed my dogs teeth and they were always filthy with food build up because she said he wouldn’t let her cuz he was “aggressive”. I just took him to a new groomer named Alexis in rye New York called “Lex Pet grooming and services” and she said he wasn’t the slightest bit aggressive with her and let her brush his teeth without any problems. She also btw specializes with aggressive dogs if you do have those issues with your dogs! She was so amazing and kind to my dog and beyond professional. Please beware of this establishment.

This is a great spot. I started bringing my Missy (3 yr old Yorkie) earlier this year. Thier attention to detail is really encouraging. The staff is friendly and professional. They do an amazing job with the dogs. I definitely recommend this business. The groomers are phenomenal handling the dogs with love and care.

If i had the option to put no stars i would. I have 2 dogs, same kind of dog but one is a baby. Mother and daughter! Two completely different sizes and weight. They tried to overcharge me for grooming my pets. I dont understand how one person can say pricing is based on weight and then change their mind and proceed to say because it’s the same kind of dog the price is the same. That is extremely unprofessional, and sounds like a way to make a extra couple dollars on the side if yu ask me. I didnt appreciate feeling like i was being scammed. I’ve never encountered a place that does this. I recommend everyone go to Petco, or any other place. The pricing is fair at Petco , and the regulations don’t change. Pricing goes by weight.

I love the service from this grooming salon, they are always taking good care of my doggie, I recommend this salon if you are looking for one. The lady that does the grooming is very professional, caring to all different dogs that come in and very sweet.

Totally love this new groomer. Place is very clean and under new mgmt. The groomer, Joelissa is absolutely wonderful, my dog has never looked so good. I have a 4 year old Yorkie and she did a fantastic job with her. Joelissa is a total sweetheart, professional and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend her to all my friends. You will not be disappointed with her grooming skills.

I have nothing but good things to say about this place the owner is very friendly & welcoming. My pup leaves this place looking like a super star everytime. I never have an issue with them & Im surprised to read the 1 star reviews saying that their babies were abused. My girl always comes back happy & no sign of trauma! Trust I wouldnt go back if that was the case.

I took my 6 months puppy here because of the good reviews, mind you it is far from where we live. They asked me how I wanted his hair I told the lady I didnt want his hair short , they cut all his hair off 🥺 and its uneven and botched all over he doesnt look like himself but looks like an old dog!! I paid 70 dollars plus tax and tip!! Never going back !!!!

What an awesome place to bring your fur babies! I have one short hair and one long hair chihuahua. Brought them in for bathing, trimming their nails, and the long hair to get shaved. I am more than pleased with the results! When I picked them up today, they looked so happy and cute with their little Easter bandanas! The staff is beyond courteous and SO knowledgeable. They recommended I take my long hair to the vet to get checked for allergies based on how his skin behaves. I mean, the love they have for these dogs is so obvious. If you want to feel at ease and know your dogs are being absolutely loved and taken care of, bring them here.

Love thhis place first time taking my baby girl to trim and cut her nails. Very caring kind well spoken and professional. The girls were very gentle and kind with my dog. I will recommend .

Have been going through there for months and I love the service my dog receives.The owners are polite and communicate well and my baby is well groomed and I absolutely love it.

I base my 5 stars solely on customer service because the shop could surely use an upgrade but the staff is very friendly, courteous and considerate. On my second visit I noticed they were a bit backed up and the dogs waiting to be groomed were in cages so I asked one of the satff members if they can keep my dog out of the cage because she had never been inside one, the groomer kindly told me absolutely and another staff member held my dog until it was her turn to be groomed. Because of that one experience they will always have my business. It’s all about how you treat your clients and this place doesn’t disappoint.

This is a great location to take your dog. I had a lot of trouble finding the right groomer for my dog because he’s very picky with who he lets touch him. With that being said the groomers here are very organized they keep a record of every sort of size that they’ve used on the dog which makes it very easy when I go there and I could just ask for the same thing you got last time. Overall, the service is good, and the pricing isn’t bad.

On February 17,2021 I brought my baby Girl Mia (6)yrs in to the shop for her regular 2-3 month groom. My baby is a Yorkie a well behaved dog..she has been a long time client from the past owner we have never had any issues. The new owner is a nice person from what I have known, when I arrived with my dog the receptionist a young man was very rude, inpatient, and offensive he stated my dog appointment was the following day not the day I came in, and told me I should of received a text confirming the appointment, I explained I have never received any text or response from the shop never. I explained that I only spoke with him on the phone and paid my deposit to cash app and called back to the shop to see if he received. He did and said see you on Wednesday 2/17. Well the owner came over to say she will take Mia if was the day of her appointment or not it was ok. The man became a bit annoyed and blamed the mix up on the computer system and that I didn’t receive any response because he put the information incorrectly. Upon the pickup of my baby everything looked fine as usual, but as I drove away I noticed Mia was having a hard time opening her eye .. freaking out I called back the shop to return and the groomer flushed her eye, while I was waiting with Mia the receptionist seem to think something was of humor. I paid not much attention to him because I was worried about my baby, all night I cried looking at her realizing Mia eye was swollen and red. She had to go to the emergency ( expensive) she suffered some trauma, I decided to read the comments and I believe my baby was abused by someone in that shop. I called the groomers but no answer as of yet. I am hurt, disappointed, very unhappy with the establishment. My baby is not the same (unhappy). DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVE TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. ABUSED MY DOG!!!!!

I was very nervous taking my three month old matted puppy to get groomed. But golden paws exceeded expectations. My little guy looked so handsome and the staff was kind, attentive and caring. I def. recommend.

I have been getting my dog groomed by Joelissa for over 6 years before she even opened up her own business (Golden Paws) and let me say there is nobody else in the world that I would trust to groom my dog other then her. She and her assistants run this place professionally and most importantly take amazing care of all the pets while they are left there for grooming.I do not know why there would be any negative reviews of this place other than to get it confused with another establishment. There are no kids running around ever (its not even big enough for anybody to be running around). I highly recommend Joelissa and her Golden Paws team. Nothing but love and care here!

Went in for the first time to get my cats nails trimmed and a minor sanitary clean up. Had an appointment at 12:30, arrived maybe 15-20 minutes prior and the groomer Joelissa was taking care of another pet so I was told to wait an hour till she finished. She was able to accommodate me by grooming my cat before the appointment time, so five stars for that! However, after leaving home I realized there were at least one claw on each paw that had not been trimmed. It seems that she was rushing and did not precisely trim my cats excess hair under his paws as well. Overall, great customer service, however, was not satisfied with the service especially after paying a total of $65 for something so simple yet unfinished.

Customer service is very poor. The owner and staff are not too friendly almost cold at times. The grooming is decent.

My dog, my heart, my baby grizzly came out of the groomers looking like a fresh new dog. His cut was amazing and he smelled so good too. This is my second time coming here and the same results both times. He didnt have one scratch or nip, they took care of him very carefully. Im so happy I found this place. Honestly this place is very inexperienced. I brought my Dog in for a grooming and explained to them how I wanted them to cut/trim his hair and they said okay they will take their time with him. When I came to pick him up, i wanted to freak out because they shaved off all of his hair down to bare skin! Unbelievable and they charged me $70 for something I couldve done myself. They have little kids running all over the store playing with the dogs as well. Unprofessional. Save your time AND your money. Dont follow these other reviews you see online. Believe me, you WILL be disappointed.

She knows her dogs, and she knows how to care for them, which is the main reasons I go to her. My baby is such a brat with her but she still maintains to do everything I ask.Her merchandise are a little pricey but her grooming prices is the most affordable on the market she also gives a complimentary bow/tie.Cant beat it.

My babies always look so handsome when shes done I cant stop smothering them with hugs and kisses, and I already do that alot!🥰(sorry pooches). But above all, is how my boys are treated, with love, care and respect, that alone shes got a lifetime customer here. There is a difference in my dogs when I pick them up here compared to other places. From here they are, yes happy to leave, but they are not desperate, and they are still giving kisses to the handler; now thats Im talking about! So, even if she starts cutting their hair crooked 🤪 because of how my babies are handled, I will still come back. I need to trust, and satisfied I am!🏆

I love this Place for My Love Dogs. The Person that runs the Golden Pawn is AWESOME. She is Great with My Dogs. I have Two dogs. One older, than the other. She cuts there nail., Grooming, Perfect. Perfect Staff. Thank God, I find this Place.

My dog hasnt open her eyes since she got groomed today! Taking my dog to the emergency room now! By the way I saw how a puppy was getting abuse :groomed today by kids who clearly didnt have any experience. To tap the experience...a person in the streets told me not to take the puppy there ever again because they get abuse! Now my dog is not opening her eyes!!! Freaking out!

I have been taking my Mason here since the last owner who was good but I have to say I am so much happier with the new owners than the last very professional always goes above an beyond even when she has no space lol, reasonable prices , he always comes home looking good an with the cut I asked for . Brought my cat to have his nails trimmed. One nail was completely split. And was one cut to close that it was bleeding. Will not be coming back and will not recommend this place to any of my friends.

They were inconsiderate with me. They told me to come in as a walk in then turned me away after I told them on the phone I was taking my dog. Also she let her kids talk to the customers arguing with adults. I had to post one star because the review doesnt allow less.

Unprofessional for many reasons. I once enjoyed this groomer and now they have lost a costumer. Recently, she did not trim his nails despite paying $76 for a full groom. She did not tell us she didn’t do his nails, we only noticed when he scratched us when we picked him up. When asked she stated she couldn’t cut them. I have never had issues getting my dogs nail cut. I’ve watched many vets do his nails quickly and easily so I found this hard to believe. She proceeded to tell us to buy the file and do it ourselves since it is easy. If it is easy then why couldn’t she do it when it was part of her grooming package? Additionally my dogs ears look horrible. They are beyond uneven, and there is a literal bald spot! A bald spot on his ear. Lastly, she called us to pick up my dog. When we arrived he wasn’t ready and she was very upset that we disrupted the grooming session. We were called to pick him up yet he was not ready. Such a bad experience and we will not be going back.

When i dropped her off i made sure to give my sister directions and pictures as to what to show the groomer what to do, and what not to do to avoid any mix up. remind you I am a super particular dog mom and is on top o everything regarding my puppy heath and comfort.My puppy came back shave down to about 1- .5 inch fur, butt completely expose ,she came back a different dog. with more irritation and redness and scooting. we notice more discomfort and redness, turns out my puppy came back with post-grooming bacterial folliculitis-furunculosis due to a small cutt during her sanitary shave not trim that allow bacteria to enter.\update coming soon.Pros-* Multiple years of experience* affordable*friendly*local in the bronx*fast responseCons:*Go if you want a goomer that dont follow directions or even attempt to here.*If you want your dog to be completely shaven not trimmed to here!* Want to waste your money

My Luna has gotten groomed here 3 times already and they do an amazing job. It’s not hectic like a petco and the staff is very friendly. Luna takes a very long time to be groomed so sometimes I worry but she’s always adorable when we pick her up.
