Universal Pet Care Grooming

I have been here twice, and both times, it has been excellent. I brought in my cat for nail trimming and ear cleaning. Good hands,gentle. And very good price points. Highly recommend.

They are extremely welcoming and patient! As a first time pet parent it was hard for me to decide where to go and trust with my pup, so I heard of universal through many other pet parents in the area and decided to go. As it was my pups first experience they explained everything to me and were very helpful. Maizey just got a bath and haircut, which they did a great job at keeping her length and shaping her. They take Zelle and cash payments which is a plus!

My dogs name is Romeo, and we are thrilled with the owner of this saloon; shes very friendly, always up to help you with whatever you need, and not to mention that she does a great job grooming your pet. Its the best Dog gromming saloon in the BRONX. Thank you so much for your Service.

Noreli: My first visit to Universal pet care and I show the groomer a picture of how I want my dog Brandon and she did it everything just how I want it. She did a wonderful job and he small good for more that 2 weeks wish never happened before when I took him to the previous place.Noreli: Is very difficult to find a Cat groomer, and they also super expensive but Universal pet care has a great cat groomer. I wish I can remember her name, and the price was good compared with other places in the Bronx. Thank I going to tell all my friends about you guys.

The owner is always professional. She does an excellent job of keeping my cat (Julez) calm while clipping her claws.So glad I found this place!

I love this groomer! its honestly the best around here in Riverdale. She seems patient and gentle with the doggos and my dog feels comfortable there. I can tell because my dog always looks in or gets close to the store front when we pass by, doesnt pull away. Also she does a really nice job he always looks so cute!

Could not ask for a better place to bring our puppy who loves to go there for her grooming. She is always well taken care of and always comes out looking (and smelling) great.

This is the best grooming service around riverdale area. The owner is very nice and friendly. My dog Hugo who hates taking baths and getting his hair cut loves to go here to get groomed.

Horrible service. The owner and groomer is not a dog/ pet loving person. She yanks the dogs around on the leash, she yells at the top of her lungs at the dogs, and she is absolutely not nice to the owners either. I asked her for no cage and she tied the dog to the wall. I tried to support her as she opened recently but today was the last time.I think my dog got fleas from this place the last time he was there. She said that this is common place at groomers. Sorry, my dog never got fleas from any other place. Save your dog from a rude person. The haircut wasnt good either. No reason to go back.

We have entrusted Noreilly with the grooming of our mini golden doodle for many years. She is always flexible depending on what our dogs needs are, whether a long coat in the winter or a summer cut. Our dog always comes out happy! That was not always the case with other groomers so we are so happy to have Noreillys services in the neighborhood.

Went for first time in December ,2017. I had a bad experience with previous groomer who cut him in the thigh. This groomer was professional and did a good job . My dog was calm when I picked him up Would recommend to others. Place was clean,big. AAA+

After doing hours of research I came across Universal Pet Care. I Called Saturday and made an appointment for Sunday which worked out perfectly because thats my day off and My appointment was at 11 oclock. (Very nice on the phone too) I brought our Havapoo to get groomed for the very first time and the owner was very very nice and caring about my dog Luna. It look like we were the first clients there which was awesome because she got to have one on one time with her. I filled out some paperwork, showed her a picture of how I wanted her hair cut to look or close to the pictures haircut. She said it would be a little shorter then the picture because her legs look shorter then the rest of her coat. (I was cutting around her legs due to some matts she had) She told me that she was going to give me a call when she finished Lunas grooming session. I walked around the neighborhood, found a restaurant, got a call Literately an hour later that my Luna was all done. As I was arriving back to the salon all I can think of was how gorgeous my dog was going to look. AND SHE LOOKED BEAUTIFUL. Exactly the cut I asked for and she never looked happier.She gave me some advice on how to maintain her coat and great tips. I will definitely be back. #shesakeeper

My dog is very nervous since she started going to groomers they can never do her nails cause she wouldnt let them, the noise bother her. The first time I took her yh er re I told them she doesnt like her nails done and that I didnt mine cause I knew she was fussy. Well when I pick her up her nails were fine I was amazed. Im about to make another appointment since I was please with her gromming.

Couldn’t be happier! Our Maltese mix gets loving treatment, our Frenchie gets his nails trimmed, appointments are easy to get, no hard sell on products, price is right! Also right across from Van Cortland Park for a walk before grooming.

Horrible person! She is rude. When i first went to her place , i waited 45min for her to open her shop. I had no problem with that. But my next appointment i came 20 min late. She was pissed and wouldnt take my dog. She said she made another appointment. The place was EMPTY!I wouldnt recommend her at all. She is a COLD and disrespectful person that would probably treat your pet the same way. 👎💩🤮

Noreily is great. Every time I bring my Gizmo to her she always comes back looking amazing and happy and Gizmo hates going to the groomers so that says a lot. Thank you fo taking care of my baby.

This is a rude woman with no customer service skills. She only cares about money, and wants all the work done before taking your dog in. What is the point of taking your dog if she doesnt want to do any work. Gets angry if you are 10 minutes late and wont take your dog. Do not recommend, zero stars and a lack of respect.

I have been taking my girl Sierra since we adopted her and I must say she is never anxious or scared and the owner/groomer is very patient and super nice. To that person that gave this place a one star and wrote such a negative review. Whos paying you to say such lies?? I took Sierra once to Petco before here and never again. Ive also brought my daughters pomsky here as well and as always Im very pleased.
